4761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: $5000 in BTC giveaway! on: April 13, 2021, 08:20:40 AM
Just a heads up: Chances are, with a well-written and decently detailed post, you're more likely to get traction when posting on Reddit.

this is mandatory. If you want any help, you need to provide all evidence that you have. OP promise a high giveaway but we have to take his word for it.

Hi, deribit an exchange locked my account with a substantial amount of money for me in it, It's been weeks since I provided everything I was asked for, and I'm still unable to withdraw my money I was thinking that perhaps some social media exposure would make them sort it out in a timely manner so for that reason when they unblock my account and let me withdraw my funds I will give away $5000 in BTC to someone that:

1- Follows me, likes and RT this tweet: https://twitter.com/Bullish__bear/status/1381796766882877441

Good luck everybody will happily announce the winner live on twitch!

I saw many giveaways on Twitter offering big money to one random person. I don't think it's real.
would you accept to use escrow for this? also someone neutral to draw a "lucky winner"?

note: I am not interested in your giveaway I will help without that if it's possible. But how to know that is real, not just another way to get some followers on TW?
4762  Economy / Reputation / Re: REMOVE VOD FROM DT on: April 12, 2021, 12:04:34 PM
Lauda tagged more scammers but after she left the forum she was removed from DT

Lauda is not removed from DT because she left the forum. and before that, she was on a seesaw depends on DT update.
Vod's case is something different, he always had more DT strength and I agree with The Pharmacist, It would be a shame to discard its previous efforts on tagging scammers. although I would still like him to change his mind and come here again once.
4763  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hotbit kidnaps your coins then ask for ransom if you ever do one tiny mistake on: April 12, 2021, 11:14:29 AM
~
There's another one, Yobit is charging 0.01 Bitcoin or even more if you open a ticket I tried it once and they are charging me 0.01 back then to create a ticket because of one of my deposit, it happens two years ago, glad that my deposit went through, so I don't bother to send 0.01 Bitcoin, Livecoin is charging OP because of the error, not the ticket created.
But that is still exploitative even if it isn't the ticket, and regarding Yobit, I thought they were are legitimate one because I have heard about them from my friends although it was around the 2 years the same as you that I have heard of it, it was famous amongst the people in my schools crypto circle.

I have used Hotbit a number of times in the past years, the last time should very early 2020 or late 2019, and they used to be very good and prompt with both deposit and withdrawal, so I don't what has change but if truly they asked OP for additional funds moreso in different coin to help recover a missing deposit (that obviously is in their possession), then that's an outright scam. However, as for Yobit, they are the most shady exchange you can ever think of, with all their petty scams, such as airdrop creating fake tokens and coins out of thing air and launch them on an ico.

Hotbit has a bug on the deposit page. Loading proper deposit address doesn’t happen every time. that's why I sent the coin to the USDT address by mistake, I also saw that it was not the only case.
He asked me to pay 0.3ETH, to send back these coins, which in my case was not worth it.
Still use Hotbit, but just to sell a specific coin that comes from mining.
4764  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [β] BPIP Extension: user info & extra features add-on/extension, Firefox/Chrome on: April 12, 2021, 08:10:27 AM
I noticed a bug in the BPIP extension today. Earned Merits and BPIP rank are blank, just like in the image below. All profiles in all posts in my computer are like that

I'm aware and trying to fix... looks like some unrelated updates broke the API because I failed to merge the code many months ago.

DT1 and DT2 badges are also not displayed. I believe it is for the same reason

4766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 09, 2021, 11:34:31 AM
There's a hell of a lot of people who need to make their picks still. 26 so far. Don't forget there's a game on tonight. Many miss the friday evening ones. It's Fulham vs Wolves so I'm sure it'll be a forgettable game over all. It's got a bore draw written all over it. Maybe even goaless.

I always leave the pick unlocked even if the place scores results. I like to give myself the opportunity to change my mind at the last minute, although from my results it can be said that it is a desperate tactic.  Sad

You are probably right about Fulham vs Wolves game, the last two games of them finished 1:0. now I will take the opportunity to change my unlocked pick and reduce the number of goals  Cheesy
4767  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MEW wallet [compromised/hacked] on: April 09, 2021, 10:32:49 AM

This is the best option for me to do, because if I send it in my wallet, I will consume a lot of gas fees in case I think of selling it in exchange if I send it in my wallet.  In case I have another problem, my 2FA is enabled in my Kucoin account, I no longer have access to it when I lose my phone.

That's bad. I hate Google authenticator 2FA.
Did you try this https://support.kucoin.plus/hc/en-us/articles/360014897913-Google-2FA there is an explanation of how to remove 2FA if you lost device?

if something means help to you, I have verified account on Kucoin and also access to my GA application  Wink I can exchange this token for you and then send you back as any other currency, probably one with a low withdrawal fee. It will cost you nothing on my side except covering the transaction fee.
4768  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Livecoin.net on: April 09, 2021, 09:09:38 AM
Tbh i don't too understand what Op mean. He is saying livecoin paid him 50% from his account on there, and will transfer the balance after his post. What will livecoin transfer? His 50% left balance on livecoin? And what's the meaning after his post? After he created post on this forum to tell everyone he already received 50% from livecoin?

If anyone remember livecoin signature campaign drama on this forum, you know we shouldn't trust them

Obviously, you don't know anything about Livecoin exchange. This exchange is hacked (at least that's what they claim), his customers were left without their money.
The official update is on http://livecoin.news/
Original domain livecoin.net no longer in his hand.
About OP and similar posts, you can find more info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5328907.0
4769  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MEW wallet [compromised/hacked] on: April 08, 2021, 10:46:42 PM
Yes, I'm thinking about whether to sell it or just transfer it to another wallet address.

In this case, I think it's best to send it directly to exchange until you think about what you're going to do with these tokens. From there, you will most easily forward them or exchange them for another currency that interests you.
As I can see, PLAY is listed only on Kucoin and has >$150k daily volume, I don't think you'll have a problem selling or exchanging them easily.
4770  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How do I create and design simple website? on: April 08, 2021, 10:16:25 PM
How to find quality and lightweight themes on ThemeForest? Do you have any suggestions for themes that are made to current responsive design standards and are easy to customize?

here it all depends on what functionality you want to have on your page. if you still want to create that page yourself, you can start with the default WP theme + Elementor plugin. Elementor is a plugin for drag and drop adding elements on your page, there you no need to know anything about programming.
If you really want help from anyone, you must explain what exactly you want from your website, which functionality etc... It's much different if you want a news website or just a landing page.

4772  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MEW wallet [compromised/hacked] on: April 07, 2021, 01:09:15 PM

Yes, he will not be able to get all the tokens because of the expensive gas fee, and almost all the assets have only a small amount so far.  But maybe if there is another increase in some remaining tokens he might do the theft of my wallet address again.  I will never be able to use this hacked wallet again like sending/transferring tokens here.  But I still have a plan to transfer them to my other wallet address when I can have ETH.

You had a 5600 Herocoin [PLAY] which worth ~$200, why don't you withdraw it from this address? You will spend $10-$15 on the fee, but the token value is slightly higher, I think it is worth it. Of course, if it is possible to sell that token. (I never heard about them).
4773  Economy / Reputation / Re: KICKICO-KickEx:Legit business or scam in making? on: April 07, 2021, 12:57:16 PM
First, to be clear, I have nothing to do with the Kickico project. As many others just receive an airdrop from there and because of that I heard about them. I’m not interested in him, nor have I researched much of it, I'm just pointing out that their promotion (not the whole project because I don't know anything more about them ) is completely legitimate for now.

Maybe they are not pyramid scheme in strict sense, but they certainly used pyramid scheme marketing techniques. I mean, I don't know about any legit exchange that has referral system with 10 levels of depth. Whats even more dodgy is how they presented the possibilities of passive income via referral system.

they plan to make a profit from traders fee, which is completely legitimate and all exchanges do that. How much referral level they plan to have doesn't really matter. Of course, they will say "get free $5" not "spend $10 on tx's fee to get free $5" or "you will be paid up to xx level of referral, although it will only be dust".
Usually, all promotions and free money are looking for something in return but this is only mentioned at the end. As long as they really pay off with money that came from real income, not taken from investors, this promotion is legal.

Something completely different is the question of whether it is really worth it. I see on freebitco.in the faucet, usually claim is 1 satoshi. Whether they are fraudsters if advertised "get free Bitcoin..." although we know that it is almost an impossible mission to raise the required amount for withdrawing.

No wonder that current price is around ~1 satoshi and even that is too much for this shitcoin. I wonder if anyone managed to successfully unlock those 888,888 airdropped tokens.

as I stated in a previous post, unlocking airdropped tokens will be possible only when using his exchange to cover 50% of the trading fee. There I can't see any problem, for example, Binance offering -50% of the fee if you pay it with a BNB token. this is a very similar thing.
4774  Economy / Reputation / Re: KICKICO-KickEx:Legit business or scam in making? on: April 07, 2021, 10:17:25 AM
It's a pyramid scheme. They are forcing users to trade in their exchange to get their referral reward and that's how they earn money.

Nope, this is not pyramidal schemes. Just a way of promoting his exchange. They will give you some rewards in exchange for using their platform and if they actually pay the promised reward there is nothing shady. the other thing is that it is a very small amount and the high fee will probably eat all of the earnings.
it certainly doesn't pay to do the whole procedure because of the potential $5 profit.

Here is a statement about claiming 888,888 Kickico airdrop https://support.kickex.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012199739-Unlock-conditions-and-FrozenDrop-details

Quote
Brief instructions to unlock the frozen tokens:
1) You get FrozenDrop (888,888 frozen KickTokens) to your ETH wallet.
2) Register in the KickEX exchange and trade there. With trade volume, you accumulate a commission. For example, with a commission of $1, you can unfreeze KickTokens for $0,5.
3) Tokens are unlocked now. You can sell these unfrozen tokens, cover future commissions partly or up to 100% for trading on the exchange, or spend in the Kick Ecosystem.

you can basically use those tokens to cover the fee when trade on his platform. that's all. He just trying to attract traders to use their exchange.

all this does not seem at all interesting or tempting to me at all but I can't see any fraud there for now. Of course, we need to wait to see how everything will work and whether it is really as they promise.
4775  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Unnamed.exchange - do we have another exit scam? on: April 07, 2021, 09:53:56 AM
Their activity on Twitter stopped on 3rd April 2021. Are we finally heading for the end game where the exit strategy is pulled at unnamed.exchange?

I still think we are some time away from their total collapse because they need to maximise their income from mass scamming otherwise they would have gone all this drama for no reason or very little gain.

here they began to allow withdrawal, but only seemingly and raise new insolence to a higher level.

4776  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cex.io Spam Alert! on: April 06, 2021, 09:46:34 PM
the order book is being intervened.

My order of 16 satoshi is making the first purchase. (16K BTT)

My open order is 1.055K BTT. I have 1039 K more to buy.
My order continues to stay open. Then comes the sales of 16 satoshi.my remaining 1039K order continues. However, these sales do not come to me.

Did you try to contact them through his support page? Here on the forum (I saw they are last active yesterday), on Twitter? Any comment from his side?
Did you check your login history? Any suspicious access to your account?

Maybe you should rephrase your whole scam accusation to help members understand what exactly you are trying to say here. According to what I picked. You are accusing them of not filling your order and yet the order history shows BTT being traded at that given price.

Let me break this to you. Expect this kind of things to happen with coin that have low sat values. So at 0.00000016 BTC. There are probably so many other orders placed by different other traders. Therefore, don't expect your order to be filled immediately even if the trade history is showing trades being made at that price.

I am very interested in this case. I have been using this exchange for a long time and almost every day. Also, I hold a solid amount of funds there, so I would really find it useful to get all the details from this case to protect my portfolio on time.

By doing a little search I can see people have complained many times in this forum about the cex exchange scam activities. And it's really bad behavior if this happen by the cex own self. But before talking about that exchange better to see your login history as previously said.

did you really do research, checking all complaints and how it's finished, or just find some treads with accusations?

In the end, I will mention @CEX accounts, it will be fine if they follow this discussion.
4777  Economy / Reputation / livecoin.net invasion on: April 06, 2021, 09:26:29 PM
the influx of new accounts is noticeable who's talk about how they got a return of 50% of the captured funds on livecoin exchange.

the current owner of livecoin.net domain and using 301 redirects trying to boosts rankings of his second domain. In this case, it's oceantogames.com
Using an expired (in this case hacked) domain is the well-known SEO technique that will bring 100% traffic and SEO rank to the new website. No matter what happened with livecoin, are they scam or not, his domain has some authority, a lot of created backlinks and even if this service is dead, there is still significant traffic to that address.

Apparently, the one who manages that domain now uses it for this purpose. He creates several new accounts here and states something quite different, using the current problem with robbered funds. but without setting up direct links.
this has nothing to do with recovering funds from livecoin, it's only an indirect way of promoting another website.

For example

Hello!

4778  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Livecoin.net on: April 06, 2021, 08:59:10 PM
did anyone try to open the link?
domain livecoin.net now is used like SEO tools, redirected to oceantogames.com...
it is an old SEO method and backlinks previously created for livecoin are used to bring web traffic to the second domain. All new promoters like OP, share it here and in other places, just to get new visitors to his second website.
livecoin.net now definitely was not under the control of his first owner.
4779  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Film Festival on: April 06, 2021, 08:06:41 PM
I must criticise you, your website hosting sounds terrible. everything seems very slow to me, with a very long time for the initial load. If you plan to share there more videos, I guess with high quality, it is certain that the current server will not be enough for you.
this reminded me of Vod action Bitcoin flash mob? Maybe you can help each other.
4780  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: AdCrypto.net - Marketing Partner For Crypto Business(Moderators Needed) on: April 06, 2021, 07:50:32 PM
To avoid fake activity, only the selected sites/influencers will be allow to promote the campaign.
For example, Legendary members in Bircointalk, although this members could also using some bots to complete the task, but this at least can reduce many of fake promoting. And once we detected the fake activity we will ban the member and announce it in our platform and in Bitcointalk forum.

For example, how you will check social media accounts if they haven't related to the Bitcointalk account?
So, someone had a Twitter acc with 10k followers but never heard of Bitcointalk. I guess it is okay when you need to check manually one or few new accounts, but what when you have 1k new acc to verify, plus 1k new FB acc's, Instagram, Reddit...
I can imagine how much work is behind.
