Good morning Bitcoinland.

More sideways around $460? At least we survived the weekend unscathed.

It's time to get this thing movin' on up.
4782  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 09, 2016, 12:13:45 AM
bear logic: it will crash so i can buy back lower and THEN it will rocket to the moon. duh!

Bear logic? Isn't that an oxymoron?

Good Morning Bitcoinland. Still hovering around $460.

I don't mind a little sideways if it means coiling for the next move up.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Still hovering around $460, eh?

4785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 06, 2016, 06:34:30 PM
5%? So if we break $460 today, you'll pretty much break even? Not bad...

Considering the cost of transferring fiat to an exchange and the exchange fee itself, it's a cheap price to pay for convenience, security and anonymity.
4786  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 06, 2016, 05:57:10 PM
Don't you buy BTC from a vending machine? How much do you pay over spot?

I buy most of my coins from various ATMs. The rest I buy directly from people.

On Monday I paid 5% over BitcoinAverage spot at the newest "lowest rates in town" ATM. It was a buy-only Lamassu machine with absolutely no identification required. It doesn't print anything so I was a little concerned about the lack of a receipt but by the time I got home after running an errand it had already been confirmed 4 times. Luckily I brought my own paper wallet.

I don't know how others feel, but this been some of the best entertainment for me since Gox blew up. Tongue

Indeed. It is very entertaining and if it helped me to buy at <$440 on Monday, so much the better.  Grin

Well I'm glad to see Craig didn't manage to destroy the value, maybe we'll be seeing a few people coming to Bitcoin with a new interest in it, or just out of plain curiosity.

Maybe we can get more people coming out of the woodwork and start claiming they're Satoshi, I wouldn't mind seeing this trend continue  Cheesy

Good morning Bitcoinland. Finally starting to creep upward again I see.

Looks like Craig W's little shenanigans just created some publicity. There's no such thing as bad publicity.

BTC1500 ask wall @ $450 on finex was eaten.

Thanx for the post. I was wondering if it would be eaten or pulled when I left to go to the ballpark and a night of drunken debauchery last night. That answered my question.

Canadian. And probably French, at that.

Definitely (and proudly) Canadian, but not French.

If you knew anything about Toronto, you'd know it's mostly Anglophone with smatterings of Mandarin, Hindi, Portuguese, Italian and many others. To find Francophones, you're better off going to the French belt that extends from northern New Brunswick, through Quebec and northern Ontario and into parts of Manitoba.

you asked a precise question when he answered, then you redefined the question from internet to Web so you could call him wrong

Thanx.

If he'd said Web I'd have said Tim Berners-Lee. It's amazing how many people confuse the 2.

Some of us actually were born and remember the time before HTML. Some of us even remember when computers used vacuum tubes, mechanical drum memory and punch card storage and i/o.

Some of the keypunch girls were kinda pretty.  Wink

Do you know or care who created Internet?

Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn? Or because they worked for DARPA, the guy who started ARPA, Dwight Eisenhower?

Way less glamorous than the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto, and much harder to take fake credit.
4793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Epic crash. on: May 05, 2016, 06:13:30 PM
... relax duckie. if you just hold your coins for the long term then you will also make a good bit of profit...

I don't think he has any coins to hold. Didn't he sell them all for $10?

Good mornin' B-coinland. Still sideways I see.

Is Craig Wright really Dorian Nakamoto? I tend to agree with Dan Kaminsky.

Good AM Bitcoinland.

Sideways I see. Ho hum.

Some people are still taking Craig Wright seriously?

A late good morning Bitcoinland.

Missed posting yesterday because I ran out to buy the dip. Up a little bit overnight.

4797  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 29, 2016, 03:42:54 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still no repeat dump. Maybe they're done. Seems pretty much sideways for now.

4798  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 28, 2016, 04:00:51 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Another dip, all the way down below $440, which was buyable except it happened while I was at the ballgame. By the time I got back it was too late and this morning it's back up almost to $450. Window of buying opportunity closed. Oh well, maybe someone else will dump a few thousand coins more and I'll get another chance.

In the meantime these massive dumps have put us all the way back to where we were 5 days ago. That's such a long time.  Cheesy

4799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 27, 2016, 03:44:57 PM

 Embarrassed

Well look who's back. I was worried something had happened to you. What's it been? 3 weeks?

You missed all the fun of a great little month-long bull run. Hopefully you were too busy accumulating bitcoins to bother with posting here.

Seeing the pathetic result of today's frantic attempt to stop the rally, we've still got a long way to go.

All those ask walls at $466, $476, $483, $490, $493, etc., were pulled for a massive dump and it barely put a wrinkle in the price.

Too bad it's not enough of a dip for me to consider buyable. I hope I don't regret not buying more while the price is still below $500, but I did stock up pretty nicely when the price dipped below $200 and while it was still under $300.

Well good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we finally got a real correction after a month of steadily rising prices, a massive $10 crash, all the way down to where we were the day before yesterday.  LOL  Grin

Needless to say, the bears/trolls are having a picnic.

Back to $470 by tomorrow?

That might send them back home:
