Hi, I was top of the daily leaderboard yesterday (black jack) but no BTC0.02 has been credited to my account yet.

And now I see that leaderboard stats have been removed from both BJ and roulette. Why is that?

Edit: Received. Thanks!
4782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core or XT? POLL on: May 31, 2015, 08:52:25 PM

You're not wrong. You are missing the fact that you now have two separate groups of devs each advancing different clients at the same time. What do you suppose that's going to create?

Why 'two'? Afaik there's no general consensus among all of those who oppose XT.

Core and XT - two.

But if there's no consensus in 'core' group (some want 1mb to stay, some want to increase it but not the 'XT' way etc) then you can hardly call them 'group of devs', they'll either further divide or stagnate if no consensus is reached.

We know from leaked emails that the Bitcoin XT fork has been planned for a year plus

I wasn't around much lately and apparently I missed out on something big. What's Bitcoin XT fork? What/whose emails got leaked? Is there any dedicated thread about that?
4785  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM | No.1 for Cryptocurrency Gambling | Provably Fair | 1 BTC BONUS on: May 31, 2015, 12:55:28 PM

Hmm, that's interesting. Seems like it'd be abused by people betting 0.000001 BTC (that's 1 uBTC) though, 20% of ~1.7 BTC (~0.34 BTC) is still quite nice pay for such low risk. A bot might even make that quite profitable. Hopefully people don't decide to abuse that else FJ will probably have to make micro-bets ineligible.

It won't be profitable to run a bot. Max bet is 1 BTC, so that's enough for only 20 steps of martingale. The highest noted losing streak at 2x payout on Just-Dice was over 30, so 20 losses in a row is pretty realistic.

Ps. mattyd403 is the first dice jackpot winner, he grabbed BTC0.858748018 (50%). Congrats!

Huge bets this morning, 304 Bitcoin!

Wow

greystroke2, total profit: 52.24688534, total wagered: 1430.0745. Still not enough to beat elowin in monthly leaderboard.
4787  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-05-29] Bitstamp launches pre-paid Bitcoin debit card for European customer on: May 30, 2015, 12:15:20 PM
Is there any info on full fee structure? I'm particularly interested whether there is any monthly 'maintenance' fee.

Please note that the initial load amount is 50.00 USD. A 10.00 USD fee is applied.
As a result you receive a 40.00 USD credit on your card.

Debit card fee schedule
Transaction type   Fee
Fee for loading up to $1000.00   $10.00
Fee for loading more than $1000.00   2%
Purchase Fee (in-store/online)   $0.35
Purchase with Cashback   $3.45
Credits for Refund   $0.35
PIN Retrieval   $0.75
Cash Withdrawal   $3.45
Cash Withdrawal Decline   $0.55
Account Monthly   $1.95
Replacement Card Fees (lost or stolen)   $15.00
Dormancy   $5.00
ATM Balance Inquiry   $1.00

That's what it says under Account > Debit Card

Thanks.

Fees seem reasonable. I'm personally looking for card with no dormant or maintenance fees, to serve me as a backup/emergency card. I'd be happy to accept higher issuance fee or tx fees. But don't think anyone offers that at the moment.

Not much about that on their website:

only mentioned transfer fee.
4789  Other / Politics & Society / Turkish Daily Accuses Govt. of Sending Arms to Syria Rebels on: May 29, 2015, 07:30:34 PM

Some big news, but anyone with a bit of knowledge of current affairs in politics probably won't be surprised:

Turkish Daily Accuses Govt. of Sending Arms to Syria Rebels

http://www.naharnet.com/stories/en/180421

Turkey arrest its own prosecutors for trying to stop weapons delivery disguised as humanitarian aid.

Worth noting:

Quote
Cumhuriyet, which also published a series of still images, said the weapons were of Russian origin and had been supplied from ex-Soviet countries.

Cheap trick to frame Russia for supporting IS?

Since we're sharing, here are my stats:

Tournaments Played 90
Tournaments Won 7
Tournament Cashes 12
Tournament Earnings 13.39 Chips

Hands Played 354

Ring Game Earnings 8.98 Chips

I honestly don't get why people won't play ring games. It's far more effective way of earning chips and way more fun. I've made nearly 9 chips with only 354 hands, and I'm rather poor-skilled player.

Was just testing referral link and the referral program doesn't seem to work at all with XMR. Preloaded link worked fine, but no referred user and commission shown in 'Referral' stats.

Any chance this will get sorted out?

Is shipping within EU free? If not, which country will you be shipping from?

Are each of them tested and working? Do they come in the original plastic boxes?

What's their visual condition, any scratches (those things matters if someone buys them as collectibles)?
4793  Other / Off-topic / Re: Precautions to take just in case email goes down on: May 27, 2015, 10:46:45 AM
answer:
stop using generic email providers. and instead purchase your own domain/pop service and have your own independant and fully personalised email

EG
CEO@elliottflz65.com rather than elliottflz65@NeverHeardOfButIsSimilarToGMail.com

I don't think most users would be willing to pay for domain (and remember to renew it etc) just to create email address.

Also, there are some interesting projects like protonmail, which is great but there's uncertainty whether it will survive in the long run.

@OP, if your email provider is a registered/legit/non-anonymous  business, you should expect they'll notify you well in advance before winding up the business. Otherwise they'll risk legal actions for data loss etc.

ps. agree with LaudaM, totally off-top

hey pawel,

sry but I had to go to sleep yesterday. remind me to sell you some xmr next time you're on the trollbox  Smiley

but opening a webwallet at mymonero is still recommened though. only takes around 30sec and no registration, email etc needed.

Thanks.

I just gave mymonero a try, creating account seems very easy, but something is not working as it should, using IE browser no private key is generated (empty space under 'Your Private Login Key'). I'll try again with different browser when I'm back home. If that doesn't work, I'll try to chase you on chat.

On top of other things you absolutely fail to acknowledge that every human has inherent costs of living and cannot go with their wage requirements below certain level.
So takes the time to explain me why what you say is true. ...
So try to explain me, why in the hell, from premises we both can't deny you reached this conclusion. It is the base of rational discussion.
...

Are you seriously asking me to 'prove' that people need food/clothes/shelter to function? Or that this shit ain't free?

How the hell do you expect calligrapher to out-compete even cheap $40 printer in both cost and efficiency? Working 2400 hours a day for $5/week? <this is just an example, so don't try to escape with "he can find different job", same can be applied to any profession>

But what strikes me the most is that you're pointing at 'alternative economy' as a solution to automation and yet you believe in 'free market'.
The alternative economy I am describing IS free market, not a separate thing. Our current economy is not free market.

Fuck current economy, let's focus on free market Vs automation.
There will be no alternative economy for multiple reasons, but that's not even a point. How the hell can you suggest that marginalising vast % of population and forcing them to move to countryside (to a magical country of free land and free seeds/tools/livestock growing overnight with no effort) in order to start from the scratch their own economy is natural or desirable? Not to mention that, if they succeeded, soon they'd have to face the same problem again.

Doesn't constant need of restarting the system sound like a massive flaw to you at all? Maybe, just maybe, taking advantage of technology to benefit the humanity by using different distribution models would be a better idea?

@Nicolas Dorier - sorry mate but your post is shit. It's scary how an adult person can detach himself from reality and common sense just to be able to carry on wearing his libertarian label for a bit longer.
Read that, and come together with better argument.

It wasn't an argument, it was an opinion.

OK... let's try this.

We are currently -- as of block height 357305 -- sitting at 1.2112 BTC - $286.18 at today's prices, or not quite halfway to what was stolen. I hereby pledge to match any now donations 1:1 until we reach $600. Or until the community or family decides enough is enough.

So who wants to use my money to leverage their donation?

i see. i dont have any first hand experience with shapeshift. best way might be for you to open a webwallet at mymonero.com and than transfer the funds bought with shapeshift to you webwallet, since mymonero will allow you to inlucde the payment id in the transaction for sure.

Sounds like a lot of hustle...

Do you have any spare XMR by any chance? I could buy some from you, slightly above the market rate. I only need BTC0.05 worth. If so, I can send BTC first, either to your address or by SD tip (but can't remember what the tip limit was).

Let me know

Edit: never mind
4798  Economy / Gambling / Re: SafeDice.com ★ Bitcoin Dice ★ Low 0.5% Edge ★ Referral ★ Fast Cashout ★ Fair on: May 26, 2015, 08:14:20 PM

xmr uses stealth adresses, so there is only one adress all users deposit to. to distinguish each deposit and credit it to the correct user ALWAYS include the payment id!

Thanks, but I'm bit confused. Where do you include your payment id? I tried to buy some on shapeshift but there's only 1 bar for 'your payment address' there, so no option to enter any id...

Our Monero section has been tested and running well. We've also hosted our first Monero whale, djjack, welcome dude!
Technically, now we are ready to launch it anytime from this point forward, be prepared Smiley

Is it possible to make deposits in Monero yet? I've logged in choosing Monero option and in deposit tab I see 'our public address' and 'Your payment ID'. Since I'm not familiar with XMR I don't know whether payment ID = deposit address?

Can someone clarify?

Also, will there be an option to switch between BTC/XMR without having to log off and log in again?

For anyone in the right mind moving backwards to less effective solutions and having to build alternative economy (with all the related unrest) is something extremely undesirable and a clear sign that the free market model simply doesn't work.
