4781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are any of you paid your salary in crypto? What's it like? on: January 18, 2019, 04:31:02 PM
I do not understand you.
Why get paid in BTC is bad?
Is BTC volatile? Yes it is. But it is not so volatile that you could not transfer it to USD for several hours with heavy losses.
I think this is nonsense. If we have agreed on this amount in USD (or any other stable currency) - this is a very easy way to transfer money.
The OP was asking if anyone ever paid their employee in crypto currencies. He wasn't asking if you are paid in crypto currencies. Anyways, I have something to say regarding your opinion. Yeah, bitcoin is volatile but the price don't jump up and down within few minutes, but why on earth would you want to have your salary in bitcoin if you will convert it to fiat currency? You would like to go through those extra hassle?
4782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i continue trading ? on: January 18, 2019, 04:00:08 PM
So, you have been trading for two years and you haven't made any profit yet? Well, i guess trading isn't for you then. You probably do not know how to trade and you keep on repeating the same mistakes. Since, two years wasn't enough for you, i guess you should actually stop and focus on something else that will help you earn.
4783  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Hodler wallet on: January 17, 2019, 09:24:18 PM
Ive been using Hodler wallet for almost 3 moths, so far I find it great and no problem with up to now. Have you heard anything about it or have you tried using it? What can you say about the wallet? They are now available in desktop and android app, soon to be introduced in IOS. Heard also that they have hardware.

Never heard of this wallet. If it is some sort of online wallet, then I would recommend you not to store huge amount of coins on your wallet. Online/Web wallets are prone to getting hacked. Once they get hacked, there are chances that you won't get back your coins anymore. Moreover, if you are not controlling the private key of your wallet, then that means you do not actually own that wallet.
4784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Bounty hunters on: January 17, 2019, 08:58:54 PM
Scams are not moderated in the forum. If you think that a project is scam and their bounty will not likely be paid, then just let others know. Spread out the word of their potential scam, and people will eventually leave and will no longer join the project and their bounty program. They will get tagged with negative trust feedback which will be enough for people to understand that they are a scam.
4785  Economy / Economics / Re: Important conditions for the progress of bitcoin on: January 17, 2019, 08:48:05 PM
-snip-
First, of course, the recognition of bitcoin through regulation, so clearly the digital currency can be used as a payment tool for certain posts.

The second is from the crypto market side, there must be an official exchanger and be recognized by the government of each country.
-snip-
First of all, we do not need regulation for bitcoin/cryptocurrencies to be recognized. Regulation would just bring more chaos to the current system. It will some what end up making the currency more centralized system. Although, a light and not so strict regulation might do good.
You second point is also a bit problematic. We do not want the government to be involved in these kind of system.
4786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Bounty Hunters Hate KYC !!! on: January 17, 2019, 07:15:50 PM
There might be few reasons why they run away when they hear the word KYC. Firstly, they might probably be enrolling through multiple accounts or is some how abusing the system and might get caught if the user identity is verified. Secondly, they do not want to disclose their identity and wants to stay private. Or they are scared that their identity might get into the hand of a wrong person/scammer. Finally, they do not want to go through all those hassles of submitting ids.
4787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: majority will lose money and minds on: January 17, 2019, 06:18:01 PM
The only reason why people buy bitcoin, is to make money. I believe in the tech, its the future blah blah blah. Your here to make "sick" gains, most will not have the stomach for it. How many investors bought 100 btc for $100 and sold them at $20,000 each, practically none.

Say bitcoin reaches $1 million and you invested now at $3800. You honestly think you wont sell when it hits $50,000 or any other figure that will improve your life significantly. Nobody knows if, when or how it will happen.

Don't waste your life waiting for a win, you will end up going crazy. Invest yeah sure, check it once a week / month on progress and just let it be man. For all we know, it could be outlawed and crash to $0 tomorrow.
So whats your conclusion? Do we keep on holding or just invest and forget about the value or something else?
Yeah, many people who saw the price rise and didn't sell had reasons. They thought the price will start rising more. Hence, they got greedy and did not sell when they had the opportunity to do so. One reason, why I tell people who invest on bitcoin to set a goal when making profit.
4788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Cryptocurrency One Big Ponzi Scheme? on: January 16, 2019, 08:53:19 PM
People should first understand the concept of ponzi scheme before they start accusing bitcoin/cryptocurrency a ponzie scheme. In ponzi, you will have to invest on the scheme will real money. That is not the case of crypto currency. No one will be forcing you to invest on it. You can earn through mining the coins. And how would actually the cryptocurrency work if it was actually a ponzi scheme?
4789  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Must we always Preach about Bull Markets? on: January 16, 2019, 07:53:31 PM
I feel that we own ourselves the truth and Nothing but to tell ourselves the truth. i am Not a good trader but i have always been following the cryptomarket. ever since we experienced the Huge bull Market of December 2017/ January 2018. it has been waves and waves of a crypto bull market predictions by our professionals Here and there. even bloggers, you-tube channels and so on but yet, the reverse has been the case. the bitcoin market slump from 19k to 3.5k.
Totally an abysmal failure. if this business was organised and managed by a centralized body, i felt that it would has SHUT Down.  Billions was lost to scams and to some fast and sharp traders.
Therefore,i will suggest for friends and Newbies here THAT Are yet to Master this Market to stay away from predictions because you will sincerely burn. you will definitely loose your Money.  Please Be smart, stay safe. Enjoy your Money while you have it.  Cool.
Predictions were made from the very beginning, not just after the sudden bull run during the end of 2017. I know some of the predictions given by the so called experts are totally absurd, but they have their reason (or at least shows the reason) for those prediction. It is just to show the positive attitude towards the market, people give such optimistic predictions.
Those are just predictions. They might happen or might not happen. The market is totally unpredictable and so people should not solely depend on those predictions when investing/trading.
4790  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange hacked on: January 16, 2019, 06:47:58 PM
I hope people who were using this exchange as a wallet learned their lesson. Sad to hear such news. People rely on online exchanges to trade their coins between other coins. But unfortunately, exchanges are never safe and no matter how much they keep on shouting and boasting about their security, they are in one way or other vulnerable to hacks.

I used to trade here with my Wife a long time ago and we both thought it was a pretty decent exchange. I do remember my wife getting hacked when they login-ed to her account as the emails all got stolen or even maybe sold. Not sure if these hacking are an inside job from technical staff working within the exchange and they tip off fellow hackers, or the exchanges are being randomly attacked in turn by North Koreans. Kim JONG UNS Regime has collected last year alone over 200 million dollars worth of Bitcoin just from hacking exchanges in Crypto and individuals. Anyway I hope something is sorted for the losers who lost their money here and they get compensated in due course.
Didn't the exchange have some sort of extra security layer like 2FA in order to protect user account if they get hacked?
4791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin be the same if Satoshi wasn't anonymous? on: January 12, 2019, 05:47:22 PM
I think that if he himself revealed his identity and made a statement about the further development of bitcoin then trust in bitcoin has grown many times, but it is possible that Satoshi Nakomoto will never get in touch and honestly I do not understand why he is hiding.
So you want changes based on his opinion only? Think straight and just open up your mind. Bitcoin is decentralized. There is no central authority or a central person who dictates how it works. But, if Satoshi has revealed himself, people would have considered him the "leader" and might have supported whatever he has to say blindly. It would no longer be completely decentralized if people started to worship him.
4792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategies (beliefs) on: January 12, 2019, 02:26:58 PM
What are the strategies you believe which can brings to win for you even though in the practical there is no strategy from you.Just speak from your heart. Cheesy

My strategy is to play two or three bets with small bets,if I win something hen I believe I am lucky today so I will continue few more bets and sometimes it helps too. Kiss
Thats the worst strategy. If you win something good playing two or three bets, then leave with your profit for the day. Don't continue longer. You should know, you can beat the house in the short run, but the case is totally different in the long run. The house will always win in the long hence due to the house edge that is present at every house vs user casino.
And most strategies are just gamblers fallacy.
4793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The dump has started for 2019 on: January 12, 2019, 02:18:48 PM
Today is a very sad day for me ... just when I was thinking the crypto space is on its way to its formal glory ... here we are again... the market is red and over 15 percent down...

How do we free crypto from the hands of whales.. manipulating the market??
Stop thinking that crypto currency are for making quick profit and getting rich over night. Once you get over this stereotypical thinking, all these ups and downs of the price will seem normal. Whenever the price drop, everyone keeps blaming the whales and their market manipulation. But when it starts to rise for the same exact reason, no one says a single word of those manipulation, rather enjoys the market being controlled.
4794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bounty hunter paid USDT? on: January 12, 2019, 01:47:45 PM
Do you really think those project developers will actually be willing to spend real money to buy USDT and pay their bounty hunters? You may profit from it, but its not going to be a "profitable" way for the project developers. Don't you think its better for them to pay you in their own currency/coin/token since they will not have to spend a single cent? Moreover, they will want users to use their tokens, so it makes sense to them to pay you in their own token.
4795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans for this year on: January 12, 2019, 01:37:17 PM
Everyone keeps saying 2019 will be profitable for the crypto community... but in life I've had to learn things the hard way.. which makes me always want to look into things in 2 ways no matter the odds

What if 2019 is the beginning of another dump?? What would you do as a investor?? Wait till your portfolio goes to zero?? ... or sell whatever is left of it??
Those who keep on saying that 2019 will be profitable are just being optimistic with no fact proving that the price will actually rise. They are just trying to bring positivity towards the current market situation or is just uttering some random guess/bullshit.
There will be always two sides, a fall or a rise. Which will take place can never be accurately predicted at all!
4796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto still be in 2050? on: January 12, 2019, 01:34:04 PM
This is a possibility in my opinion. I think we are still at a very young age for cryptocurrebcy development. It wasn't even accepted all throughout the world so there is so much to do with it yet. So I think it may still exist but one thing that might be so possible is that the cryptocurrency may have evolved or changed into something new when that time comes.
It is the current time which is considered to be the "infant stage" of crypto currency. Its is completely new to the world and has a lot to develop. I wouldn't say in year 2050 bitcoin will be considered to be still on its "young age". 2050 means three more decades, which is actually enough for the currency to develop. We will either see crypto currency on its fully developed stage or some other technology taking over it.
4797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US or China: Who do you think will legalize bitcoin first? on: January 12, 2019, 07:34:33 AM
I will place my bet with the US, they are open to discussions, they just need a more healthy environment for their i
nvestors, which is a good thing considering the level of insanity or scams that abound in the space.China on the other hand are not even ready to discuss its merits or giver her citizens a chance to make their opinion known.
Wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being totally the opposite. The US might be thr rejecting the approach of bitcoin, where as the Chinese goverment would accept it either through strict regulation or through free flow. The Chinese government will always want to stay ahead of everything by any means.
4798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Apple going Crypto? on: January 11, 2019, 08:48:51 PM
Just want to ask if anyone hear anything about this, I will post the same on other forums so I get it to many people as possible.

Someone told me that one of the largest companies in US is going crypto, it will start accepting crypto currencies in their local and online stores, and they will go further by integrating it in their electronic payment.

This all going to happen late in 2019, they will start by loosen up their eco system as it currently very tight.

He said a lot of things but I didn’t care much as I don’t know what was his source.

Few days ago, Apple announces that other manufacturers TV will support Air Play which is big as Apple never allow that on third party devices.

This reminded me of what he said, and made me think that he knows what he talking about, further more I assume now the company should be Apple.

So I f Apple start accepting crypto on their Apple Pay, it will going to have huge impact on the crypto market the prices should sky rocketing, everyone will follow Apple and probably do the same.

I have few crypto and based on the above If many confirms that they hear the same, I will buy more and hold selling them until end of 2019.

Any links or articles or news where it states that Apple will accept bitcoin. That "someone" you are talking about didn't give you any reference or did you not bother to ask for links/reference? Don't just blindly believe what you hear and spit out those bullshits to others. Misleading information is actually of no good to anyone.
Did a quick google search. No where does it mentions that they will accept bitcoins. But at least i got to know that they are now once again allowing bitcoin wallets in their store.
4799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: God of winning be with all the gamblers in 2019. on: January 11, 2019, 08:35:31 PM
-snip-
I believe that currently we should not hesitate to make this prayers that God should put his favor on us and for us
-snip-
So, if God helps everyone to win, how will the casino be making money? They will go all broke. Anyways, the money you make that is profit in gambling is actually the money lost by someone else that is the loss of someone else.
Anyways, if you consider gambling as a form of investment, then you need help. You are not investing anything. You are just playing with your money to make some profit or lose them all.
4800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Deposit and Withdraw Online Poker on: January 11, 2019, 08:20:11 PM
Why don't you just list what site it is?
A private club he says, so you will have to pm him. But you better be careful. He might try to lure you or might have some malicious intent. Make sure you know what you are doing and don't fall for some stupid scam. Scammers out there will do anything to rip you off.
