Sounds great.

Since it appears you are using cgminer to run your hardware, please post the source code to the modifications you made to cgminer in accordance with the license you agreed to when you created and distributed a driver for your hardware based on cgminer.
As you have not responded I will take that as ignoring the license conditions despite being given a reasonable amount of time to respond, so therefore I will be requesting a DMCA takedown of your thread by the forum administration.

I wouldn't do this, it only helps them. They're a likely scam and hiding the scam warnings will only serve to aid their actions.
This is the first in a planned big clean up as a stance. Scam or not, they were the first to have their code requested.

As much as I support open source licenses, facilitating a scam ISN'T the way to go. Its actually a great mechanism for one to operate under.

1) Annouce preorders
2) Say running cgminer
3) Wait for the "release source code" message
4) Ignore it
5) Continue taking preorders
6) Don't deliver preorders
7) Thread and all others is taken down so no one can let others know you are a scam
Cool Continue taking scam money.
9) Profit.
I appreciate your concern and perhaps the answer is to lock the thread and allow unmoderated discussion only, or perhaps un self-moderate the thread?

Probably a mix of everything. Maybe something like this:
  • Strip them of thread ownership (and so self mod)
  • Moderate their OP down slightly in terms of fonts to inhibit sales with a small explanation saying see 2nd post
  • Add second post into a giant message saying "this company is in violation of GPL licenses *insert explanation here*

They can go back to normal if they fall in line, well, if they weren't a likely scam in the first place.

Don't lower the fan speed on a T1, it does actually require that level of cooling. See my thread in sig for T1 thread.

From the chips photo it seems they were made week 34.

Well stone me if they deliver, but that's the scrypt.

What happened to the 6TH Bitcoin chips?

Running and hashing without the power supply plugged in? That's a new one.

Before anyone downloads this, source code needs to be verified as this could do other devious things in the background. [I won't be monitoring this thread so PM me to remove the OTT warning once done]

plz remove this stupid post, the source code is posted and you have no evidence there is anything wrong with the app. this is starting to irritate me

The fact that you were 1) so resistant to posting the source code in the first place, then 2) made up excuses that it was illegal to post the source code, then 3) magically posted the full source code suggests that yes, we should be vigilant. The warning stays permanently.
4790  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive RockMiner R3-Box Setup [HD] on: August 30, 2014, 04:15:56 PM
I managed to select the ZIP file, but not sure which button to press to start DL...

You should be on sourceforge... http://sourceforge.net/projects/rockminer/files/RaspberryPi_Rockminer_Rocket_V1.3.0_192.168.1.254.zip/download
4791  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive RockMiner R3-Box Setup [HD] on: August 30, 2014, 04:00:47 PM
Does anyone know where to find the Raspberry PI image for the Rockminer R4? I heard it's the same as the R3, but when I go to rockminer site it's all in Chinese, which I can't read so I don't know what im clicking on or downloading...

http://forum.rockminer.com/discussion/21/image-files-of-raspbeerypi-%E6%A0%91%E8%8E%93%E6%B4%BE%E9%95%9C%E5%83%8F%E6%96%87%E4%BB%B6-and-the-handbook-of-cgminer-version-for-rocket-box-%E6%93%8D%E4%BD%9C%E6%95%99%E7%A8%8B#latest

Just go to rockminer.com then downloads, I don't want to give you a direct link because it will sit here forever and eventually not be the latest one.

I am raising the bid increment to 0.04, as $10 increments are just going to eat into people's time. I'm going to raise BitCrane-Tech's bid up to 0.32 so we all start from 0.32 with the new bid increment.

4793  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide on: August 30, 2014, 12:12:07 PM
Can you add hashcoins.com?

No. They are yet to deliver in any significant quantity. They were so eagar for me to 'promote' them with the promise of a batch 2 review unit, I refused ahead of seeing anything concrete. When shipping time came around they went quiet and didn't answer emails.
4794  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive RockMiner R3-Box Setup [HD] on: August 30, 2014, 08:51:37 AM
I am having problems with the r3-box restarting very often and every 1-8hrs it hangs on restarting and just shows "cgminer is restarting" at the top in of the interface in red three times but it never does and just hangs and never starts mining again. Has anyone else had issues with this?

I found this when translating rockminers site:

Quote
Raspberry send frequent restart

1 ambient temperature is too high lead (above 37 degrees), please try to keep around the mining machine ventilation.
2. SD card is faulty, by re-programming the mirror or replace the SD card solved.
3 with a USB data cable shorted lead to instability, check whether the USB cable OK.

nr. 1 is definitely not a problem, And if the sd card is corrupted should it  not be not mining at all?

Has anyone succesfully ran it on a windows pc with cgminer? (can you use a stock cgminer 4.5.0 (which supports r-box) or do you need their fork?) because then i could use cgwatcher to reboot when no shares are accepted or perhaps identify if the problem is in the miner itself or in the pi.....

That isn't true about the SD card corruption, sectors can have errors and it partially work. You can try running with 1 module for a while and see if you still get restarts. Monitor the temps before a restart.

Yeah it really is quite pretty.
4796  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitmine Coincraft Desk 1000GH [29th aug prices] on: August 29, 2014, 08:30:56 PM
why there is tax if you are shipping from uk?

Because I am VAT registered in the UK and so it is a legal requirement to declare and collect VAT. If I wasn't VAT registered, the price would be exactly the same to you but the price wouldn't be broken down into what is VAT and what isn't. It is an advantage to other VAT registered businesses and those outside the EU.
4797  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: August 29, 2014, 08:14:41 PM
Thanks for the guide, it's definitely been a help getting me setup!  I have a hopefully not stupid question:  I have 10 V2 Blades on a backplane and the HP server psu is too freakin' loud, so I want to use a computer psu to power it.  I see the two terminals on the backplane, one for 12v the other for ground.  Do I need to fill all 4 on both sides to power it or just two in each.

I'm kind of a visual person and having a hard time envisioning how this works.

Thanks!

All of them with at least 14AWG cable.
4798  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S3 Setup [HD] on: August 29, 2014, 08:13:04 PM
Dogie would you suggest running diff at 256 if at stock speeds (440GH/s)?

Also, would this PSU be sufficient to run 2 units even with overclocking?
http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=240&area=usa

Difficulty will make very little difference, I generally whack it up a bit higher than required.

Its a bit small for 2 OC'ed but would do it on stock. You'd have no headroom.

Thanks.
Then I will go with this one: http://silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=238&area=en

Sorry about being boring, how about this one: http://www.corsair.com/en/cx750-80-plus-bronze-certified-power-supply

I recommend CX750s on everything.
