transfered yesterday some balance to my account, no warning. then realized that site wont work and keeps your balance locked (cant play or withdraw). today still no withdrawal possible coz hot wallet empty apparently according to error message. clicked around to see if rest works, no reaction, no reaction, now works and all lost /shows empty balance. summary, will never use it again, lost 2 monero. read that this issue is since 4 days and no official announcement of the safedice team so far....i wish there was at least a warning on the website itself before login, that there is issues but no...once you sent balance there its lost.

is anybody using hitbtc to trade aeon? When I try to withdraw i get this error : "An error occurred, please try again later".
HitBTC had a DDOS attack and is recovering, maybe its that. Saw it in the XDN subreddit.

Heya guys, Thought maybe some of you guys have an input that could help me. Got a Aeon pool running on a vps with 6 cpu, 2 gb ram and 16 gb swapfile. SSD storage is enough available too. Sadly the Screen Process always gets killed through a "init: failsafe main process (549) killed by TERM signal". Cant figure out why it causes that since there is always 10gb swap left during running of the pool usually. [ 1.868354] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready [ 1.873329] Adding 16383996k swap on /mnt/myswap.swap. The pool runs with https://github.com/thehihoguy/cryptonote-universal-pool , a fork of xdn-project. And the aeond is started with: ./aeond --rpc-bind-port 9998 --disable-save Simplewallet with: ./simplewallet --wallet-file walletname --password walletpassword --daemon-address 127.0.0.1:9998 --rpc-bind-port 8082 Any idea, what causes the spike or how to prevent it? Thankful for any input regards thehihoguy EDIT: added a space in EM because it made an emoticon out of it....

So, is there any major benefit to mining this outside of the daemon?
Solomining is good for the AEON decentralisation. But as previously stated by someone, there is more regular payment if you mine in a pool with your computer (if you own a server with a loooot hash you might prefer solomine coz you still find blocks all the time and so you dont have to share the payment). Also there might be hardware with not enough RAM/swap file to run a full node, so you could use just a mining software to mine directly to a pool without running a node. There are many pools, choose what suits you the best. On any pool getting started page youll find several miner software. Personally i prefer fireice_uk stak miner, because he is activly updating it/active in the community and also provides open communication on changes on the software.

Do I consult my license plate and another one appears mining like this? And my wallet is but I did not receive it? Can you be a lil more specific on your question? You mean pending balance? Sometimes it takes up to 10 min for the pool to payout the newly finished matured block. Or you mean the balance itself? Is your aeond blockchain synced to the highest block already? did you use "refresh" in simplewallet to refresh your wallet balance?

Any roadmap for Particl now ?
Are you checked this one ? We need to update that A handful of In Progress is now Done and a handful of ToDo is now In Progress and we have some new ToDo to add. Ok,so when can we expect the Roadmap update ? ? (Days , Weeks ?) Well, June 5th marks the "Unofficial" release date, which is 4 weeks after the May 8th blog post, hopefully we'll have something by then. Well in reddit they were already thinking about mid june.....soo dont get your hopes up too early Quote Sexystick: We're still pushing forward for mid-June which would be 8 weeks after the token sale. Everything depends on Foundation being established. We can't distribute coins until the foundation is approved. Foundation is effected by ToS and PART address creation which effects the time contributors have to create receiving address (we'd like to allocate 4 weeks to give everyone but that gets squeezed if desire to get mainnet out by mid-June).

If my coins sit on an exchange, how is it gonna sort out ?! What about people who have SDCs? Will they stay with the big zero? If so then these people are completely cheated by the team.
Did you even read the post I linked? For SDC sitting on exchanges, the team will require you to join a web-session in order to verify your details. Visit particl.io/claim and follow instructions. You'll have to contact the team & create an account on https://particl.io. It's all in the instructions, just follow them and you'll be fine. Please read the official announcements released by the team before accusing anyone of being cheaters and scammers. Good luck! I still do not believe it. People bought yesterday, for example, do not know about any swap-coin. What about these people? Why do so many topics that say it is a scam? I am sorry for my language Why do people buy a "product/coin" without any research? Its their own responsibility to do research. Also Exchanges can delist the coin at any point but didnt yet...why not address them? They know its a swap coin because the PART team informed them. Dont think there is any cryptocoin that wasnt tagged scam at least once by someone... Generally its important to be cautious with cryptocoins since there are many shitcoins, but its up to each to decide if they want to spend any ressources on them. What if two days ago she bought the SDC? What about these people? What about their coins? What if someone bought and not read forum ... Like i stated above, its up to the exchanges to delist coins. Devs have no impact on that. If you have a suggestion on how the dev could handle this without angering the bagholder, then please tell us. Many exchanges keep dead coins for a long time. Latest example would be bytecoin which had no serious development for a long time but was suddenly hyped lately.

Thank you very much for kind welcome and huge help.
I'm looking forward contributing to community.
If you need a pool for mining, I can recommend these guys: https://aeon.kryptopool.com/#getting_startedThey have helpful information for getting your miner pointed at their pool correctly and I can vouch for being paid every time I mine there. I have started with that pool, nothing earned yet. If nothing happens in the few days I need to check my settings. I was fixing some issues with my pc so I was not mining all the time. First I start aeond, wait for sync, after that start wallet, input wallet name and pass, and I get Refresh done, blocks received: 116 balance: 0.000000000000, unlocked balance: 0.000000000000 After that I start pool miner cryptonote-easy-miner_v0.0.3 with host aeon.sumominer.com and correct address of my wallet and I get mining started on 4 cores and I get (Hope Im doing it right): [2017-05-18 20:45:56] Using JSON-RPC 2.0 [2017-05-18 20:45:56] Starting Stratum on stratum+tcp://aeon.sumominer.com:3333 [2017-05-18 20:45:56] 4 miner threads started, using 'cryptonight' algorithm. [2017-05-18 20:45:56] Binding thread 0 to cpu 0 [2017-05-18 20:45:56] Binding thread 1 to cpu 1 [2017-05-18 20:45:56] Binding thread 2 to cpu 2 [2017-05-18 20:45:56] Binding thread 3 to cpu 3 [2017-05-18 20:45:57] Pool set diff to 5000 [2017-05-18 20:45:57] Stratum detected new block [2017-05-18 20:45:57] thread 0: 1 hashes, 5.14 H/s [2017-05-18 20:45:57] thread 3: 2 hashes, 8.52 H/s [2017-05-18 20:45:57] thread 2: 2 hashes, 7.79 H/s [2017-05-18 20:45:57] thread 1: 2 hashes, 6.18 H/s [2017-05-18 20:46:32] thread 0: 310 hashes, 8.83 H/s [2017-05-18 20:46:39] thread 1: 372 hashes, 8.73 H/s [2017-05-18 20:46:42] thread 3: 397 hashes, 8.69 H/s
Thank you, I saw it already but thought it was some localized mining crew. I will look to it again. Thank you all for help.
As smooth mentioned you can access stats on the website. In case of aeon.sumominer.com go to "Home" Tab and look at the "Your Stats & Payment History" part. Enter your view key of the wallet and press "Lookup". Now you see your hashrate and how much you mined already. If you dont know your view key public wallet address anymore, either check out the file [walletname].address.txt in your aeond folder or enter "address" in your simplewallet. https://wiki.bytecoin.org/wiki/Simplewallet_command_line_arguments_and_commandsAbout my pool, no its not local, its just a pool like any other:) For choosing a pool its mostly about 3 things for me: - Treshold of payment (Tab: Payments) which indicates how much you need to mine before the pool pays you out - Total pool fee + core Dev donation (Tab: Home) how much the pool deducts from your mining for maintenance cost and supporting the devs. The total pool fee includes the core dev donation/pool core dev donation. - hashrate, make sure the pool doesnt have over 50% of the total hashrate of aeon, else its bad for the decentralization, i.e. bad for aeon in general hope this helps a lil with understanding

Appreciate it, but I would recommend to mine on another place for today at least. I have currently an error on the pool. It run out of memory though it has 2 gb ram and 10 gb swapfile. Error: out of memory, kill process aeond Have to check it tonight since im at work right now. So means i can have a proper look on it only in about 8-10 h. Yesterday the pool was still working fine and paid the miner. Now it seems stuck and doesnt pay out. Be assured though that as soon as i have access tonight, i will make sure the system pays out again or i will do it manually. The pending balance of the miner is logged and therefor im aware what is missing. Payouts triggered and send. If anything is incorrect, contact me and i will see to it. Sorry again for the inconvience. Pool working again.

what about sdc trapped at polo cos of withdraw limits? useless now?
is anyone taking over sdc?
what are particl doing with the pot of sdc are they burning it or what is happening with it?
1. If you had SDC before the exchange started you can still apply on the part site for an exchange. The particl community decided to open a fund, where part owner + devs could donate part for people who were left behind. Beside that SDC can be still traded but will be maybe delisted by the exchanges since its more or less worthless now. 2. No one takes over SDC 3. One of the PART goals was to secure the SDC blockchain. To achieve that, they tried and succeeded to get over 50% SDC exchanged for PART. The exchanged SDC is now in a frozen wallet owned by the devs to secure the blockchain. The devs promised to not touch the SDC wallet anymore. You can check the transaction of the wallet somehow, i dunno how though, to see incoming or outcoming transaction from the frozen wallet....its zero so seems devs keep to their word so far. Any other questions? glad to help

Just realized part is the bro project of SDC, nice, where can I trade it?
SDC will no longer be supported/developed SDC Holder had the chance to trade their SDC to PART PART is not yet released. Devs currently check with exchanges where it could be traded. Also the unofficial release is 3-4 weeks for the PART coin.

Hello, new member here and complete newbie in cryptocurrencies world.
I have been reading about cryptocurrencies for many years, but only now decided to start with it.
I'm completely new, I do not have wallet nor any account.
Since my PC is running 24/7 for torrents, I decided to start mining Aeon (Pentium g4560 cpu) in order to support this community and in process learn more about mining and cryptocurrencies overall.
I would appreciate few tips about Aeon if possible, i.e wallet, miner, pool tips for beginners, i.e where to start from.
In the meantime, I will be reading this topic and the rest of forum.
There are a lot links in the subreddit of aeon: /r/Aeon/ Also here the official aeon daemon + wallet: https://github.com/aeonix/aeon/releasesThe wallet + daemon combo also includes solomining. 1. download the latest release 2. start aeond (the daemon) and wait till it finished syncing and is on the newest block 3. "message appears: you are in sync with the network now, you can start simplewallet" 4. start simplewallet 5. follow the instruction on screen to create your first wallet 6. congratulation you have a wallet and are synced to the network 7. type HELP into simplewallet for further commands https://wiki.bytecoin.org/wiki/Simplewallet_command_line_arguments_and_commands8. if you want to solomine type into simplewallet window: start_mining [number of threads] 9. if you want to see your current hashrate type in aeond: show_hr (hide_hr to disable it again) 10. if you want to stop it type in simplewallet: stop_mining 11. once you want to close all, type "exit" into the simplewallet. this will save your wallet and close it correctly. 12. if wallet is closed, type in aeond: exit 13. aeond will save the blockchain and closes correctly hope this helps for the start:) for pool mining follow stoffu's link to the pool miner
