Not a big fan of NEO and Ripple tbh. NEO has indeed had a big community behind it but now a good chunk of that community moved on to Ontology which is a superior project in my humble opinion. Ripple could achieve mainstream adoption but when it comes to the technical side of it, its not so impressive. ETH all the way if choosing between these 3.

I plan to get a nice chunk of Atoms (Cosmos) but its current market evaluation and its price are not that attractive for new investors, so I am crossing my fingers that its price will fall below the 2$ zone, which would still be 20x from the ICO price, but it would be well worth it in the long term.

In this recent past week, ETH price started a strong upward move after it broke the $140 and $145 resistances against the US Dollar. The price traded to a new yearly high at $182 and later started a downside correction. There were a few swing moves, but finally a low and support was formed near the $154 level. From my technical analysis i think it's possible to see ethereum reach $200 sooner than anticipated.
What in the world are you talking about? Looks like some copy/paste TA from a week ago. ETH crushed the 200$ "resistance" yesterday but then dipped a bit. It seems that it will repeat those series of event today as well. Its kinda scary how good the market is performing the last few days, we may be in for a deep consolidation.

You are definitely on the right path if you want to participate in crypto investing but dont possess your own funds to invest. Bounties and airdrops are really your only option in this situation, especially if you have any distinctive skill that is worth much more than just bot-like re-twitting, for example knowledge of other language which you can use in the translating campaigns. Its time consuming but it pays much better than your ordinary social media clicking.

This recent price dip is probably a consequence of the recent (alleged) hack, or BNB was just over-bought. Most probably the combination of both factors. But they have always something new under their sleeve, so its highly probable that the old ATH will be crushed in the next BNB surge.

This has been the first time this year that I am hearing about the MEW phishing site, so I got the impression the scammers gave up on this particular type of phishing as it is the most obvious one and most people are already familiar with it, but I guess it is still effective enough to keep trying. Bookmarking the real MEW site is indeed an easy and crucial ordeal to avoid stepping on this phishing mine.

Mostly Binance and other tier 1 exchanges such as Huobi, OKex and Bitmax. But Forkdelta can be indeed a goldmine of hidden investing opportunities where you can snatch dirt cheep tokens of projects that are not yet listed on any centralized exchanges. When it comes to OTC channels, be very careful as the newly created ones are mostly scam honeypots, and they can rapidly run away with your funds.

I am well aware of the recent Binance hack, but Binance is still the only exchange on which I would consider holding part of my funds for the short/mid term. The thing is that with 2FA enabled I still feel that the funds are safer than on some desktop wallet, which can be easily wiped dry if your computer gets compromised. The hardware wallet is the ideal option of course, but its slow adoption of native tokens of less known projects is a big handicap.

I used to really admire CZ, but he recently became so painfully arrogant, that it boggles my mind. This recent hack could be a solid reality check for him tho, we shall see. But yes, its great to see that, at least for now, the market didn't react irrationally and there was no major dump following the hack and the Bitfinex tether fiasco. The market sentiment is definitely much better than couple of months ago.

Who knows what the market will look like in 5 years. It may crush the 2017 crypto craze by 10 fold, so even if you hold a solid amount of your bounty reward of a fairy decent project, you could get away with a nice chunk of money in couple of years. Not necessarily a sum that would make you rich in the 1st world countries, but still. I believe Harmony is one of those current bounty campaigns.

Better question would be if ETH can reach 2000$. 200$ mark will be crushed this year, that I am certain of, but I am really eager to see how its price will behave after the PoS phase and if its price movement will be underwhelming or not. ETH is still a great long term hold regardless all of the competition out there.

Stay away from Bittrex IEOs for now (except if they score some insanely good project that will do good no matter the exchange). They really have to restructure their IEO system and most importantly reduce the market cap limit for projects. Investing in mediocre projects like Ocean Protocol, which are collecting 30 mil in the current market conditions, is insane.
|
|
|
A bit too simplistic of a generalization. The IEO craze is definitely decreasing, so it will be difficult to make crazy profits flipping random projects, but there is still a graver danger of projects not delivering their roadmap achievements in time and other issues of even greater concern. So I wouldn't say that investing in IEOs is that much safer than investing in ICOs.
|
|
|
Its still a sweet deal if you manage to participate in the IEO that is held on one of the top 3 exchanges, but it is always necessary to do your due dilligence about the pre-sale price, were there any pools for it (those could represent a selling pressure as well), what is the latest sentiment regarding the project etc.

It would be beneficial to wait couple of days, observing the bounty sheet and watch the number of people joining the social media campaigns. On this basis you could decide if its worth to join or not. But usually the payment of social media bounty is significantly higher than with most of airdrops, even if you dont have an insane amount of followers.

The premise of the OPs post is true most of the time, but there are some exceptions (as always). Like the "hype" about Antshares (NEO) back in 2017, OmiseGo and some others. People said not to hop on the train on the top of the pump, it will consolidate for 50%, but it just continued to go higher and higher. But those instances are rare to find.
