Because no one guides and teaches people what bitcoins are. Many people just discovered bitcoin because of the search. I wonder if it will be revealed on tv and internet so many people will know it

I agree, just a little help from the media and bitcoin's popularity will skyrocket. Although it makes me wonder since them advertising bitcoin could be achieved way sooner how come the media didn't make it mainstream, it seems to me they're threatened by bitcoin or else somethings stopping it from gaining further popularity.
482  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: August 29, 2017, 02:12:58 AM
We could never foretell the fate of bitcoin in the far future, perhaps we could but that's practically nonsense.
With the emergence of many Altcoins and ICOs out there we could never really predict what could happen but one thing is for sure, bitcoin is the best we have right now.

It might even hit more than 5000 usd before year end. Its price went up after the Aug 1 split and so I'm expecting it to pump on November where another split is supposed to happen.

Well, that's china for you...always doing messed up things. Maybe they have their own forum for bitcoin or are scared that unnecessary information to spread because of this forum.
485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: August 28, 2017, 01:23:39 PM
Just let them be. That will be my vengeance upon them, not letting them know about the beauty of blockchain and bitcoin. And I'm pretty sure that those kind of people have less chance of changing their perspective about bitcoin so no use for arguing.

As a fellow 3rd world country guy, i feel bad for you. Bitcoin would really help people out of poverty if just given the opportunity to be accessed but i guess your government is to be blamed for that.
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What opinion from people out there or people in your city about bitcoin? on: August 28, 2017, 12:50:23 PM
My friends and I practically went nuts when we heard the price of bitcoin increased so much from the past year that we regularly talk about bitcoins when were hanging out. Although that's just from my circle of friends in my community however, they don't give a damn.  Probably because of bitcoin's bad reputation for being used for illegal transactions that's hindering them from learning it.
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: August 28, 2017, 12:38:38 PM
No doubt the anonymity that bitcoin offers are being used to the advantage of criminals to do illegal transactions but the thing is, even without bitcoin, if a person really wants to do a crime, there's really no stopping him doing so. It just goes to show that the world is really full of bad people.
489  Economy / Economics / Re: Will early adoring countries get large economic benefits from BTC? on: August 27, 2017, 05:56:31 AM
Yes, that country would undoubtedly gain from adopting bitcoin provided that the government would regulate it properly.
490  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: August 27, 2017, 05:49:07 AM
Poverty cannot be solved by a single solution. It has far too many factors why poverty came to be like people lacking education, the country's economy and the mentality of the person. If we like to end poverty, we have to address the root, if not, the major problem causing it and i think bitcoin is not yet capable of that feat. Why? in terms of services that bitcoin provides, many altcoins surpass bitcoin it just so happens that it is the pioneer in cryptocurrency.
491  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: August 27, 2017, 05:40:57 AM
Bitcoin's price is certainly increasing and an undeniable fact is that as it's price increases, so does it's popularity. People tend to be interested in something new and innovative, and bitcoin is like a treasure trove to them. It is a completely uncharted territory for them  with so many potential and possibilities so who can't help but flock to bitcoin.
