@RRT5ON, nice troll.
You certainly would like it to be so. And it's not about scrypt/gpu mining(I wonder how you even arrived at this), I am not a miner anymore. And you and me, we go way back, early days of cgminer when I even paid you to implement something, which you failed to do so, what you wrote wasn't even correct. But that aside, the code *is* overbloated. It's purpose is to hash(well, with asics, it doesn't even need to do this except to verify), yet I see so much redundant code.

Over 150,000 people die everyday. What makes these car crashes any more tragic than any of the other many deaths that will have happened today in the world or in or near your peaceful little town that didn't make the news?
54 million a year, that would end humanity in about 100 years or so.
483  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Who made CGMiner? on: October 11, 2014, 04:19:04 AM
Cgminer is a fork of cpuminer, originally developed by Jeff Garzik, cgminer was forked and subsequently developed by Con Kolivas, and later user Kano, although their attitudes need to be fixed.

Right now though, cgminer is overbloated. Thousand of lines of code just to mine. Needs to be rewritten from scratch. So far it has served to prove that knowing the linux kernel inside-out does not mean one can code well.

Either they skipped the windows 9 or forgot counting.

Lol.. Maybe 9 is badluck for Gates.
I heard that someone in Germany thought that it's because the word nine (spelled: nein) means no in the German language.

In other words:
Windows: No
The reason is that Windows 9 was too similar to Windows 95, i.e Windows 95 and this would break a lot of code out there, so they switched to Windows 10.
It's a pretty silly reason if you ask me.
Probably. But Microsoft said W10 will be the last major release, they will now update Windows with incremental updates, 10.1,2,3 and so forth for probably quite a few years.

Too bad you adjusted the time frame... You must remember the willy bot existed before & (hopefully) doesn't now! The game is completely different now!!! Do not let this short squeeze fool you, the shorts have huge positions at 350, do your research before tomorrow is down double digit percents
I wouldn't trust a paid permabear especially one with a recent account as yours. Perhaps its time for you to mature for a few years.
487  Economy / Speculation / Re: The moustache pattern on: October 09, 2014, 01:39:49 AM
Now that you showed how you see it, yes I can see it too. But without that extra cue, it was not obvious at all.
488  Economy / Speculation / Re: The moustache pattern on: October 08, 2014, 04:08:30 PM
It is a kind of reverse H&S - with a very distinct shape. It used to be quite common in 2012 and 2013.

Here is it today:

Those images don't look even remotely the same to me.

490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today I bought 100 BTC (+600 before = 700 total) on: October 08, 2014, 04:07:40 AM
Would be good to update us on your total cost and cost/BTC. Congrats, a healthy stash. Smiley
I have not looked at the last few pages, but 700 btc is not exactly a small amount, I am having a hard time believing OP.

Momentum allready dead. It looks more and more like we are in a bulltrap / deadcatbounce.
Can some experts like Falling concur?

492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto? on: October 06, 2014, 02:39:39 PM
If such a person comes forward, though unlikely at this point, he would need to sign a message with his keys. This is what is so good about Bitcoin, and why no fake Satoshi has come forward, because he doesn't own the private keys to Satoshi's stash(although a close friend of his could potentially....)

Did you learn EW from another member here who was offering his services?

Anyone feel like sharing their "bankroll" when playing on the exchanges?

Mine is...well it's not really anything but about 0.30 btc total. I don't think I will be earning any serious amount of money with this, but this is the amount I am willing to risk, or rather, that I can afford to lose.

traders always say to only play with like %10 of your holdings, its just not wise to think you can call tops and bottoms, that kind of thinking will have you go all out on a bounce that turns out to be trend reversal
0.30 btc is about that much yeah, 10% of my holdings. I've been here since late Apr 2011, but unlike a lot of people I failed to amass large amounts of bitcoins, even though back then I had upwards of 100, a year later I had ten times as much litecoins, past tense yes.

I use a small percentage of my stash. I've managed to trade up from BTC6 to BTC20 since June. Thanks, Litecoin. Good time to buy some, btw, as it follows lock-step with Bitcoin. Silly Chinese traders, they love it Smiley
You have to have some to buy some. I don't have any income, I can't even afford to buy 0.05 let alone anything like 6-20 btc.

ya its alot easier to say buy and hold then actually do it

even me with a very bullish outlook have sold spent wasted a gr8 many coins along the way... i can't complain tho  Tongue
Thats the thing, I didn't really invest. Everything I had started off with mining, unlike other people who already had $10k or $1k to buy btc then, I had $0. Essentially, I profited even if a little, without any investment. Even the electricity I expended in obtaining bitcoins was fully paid.
