481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: June 12, 2014, 09:53:15 AM
When will NEM start and how will I be able to claim my stake?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I was fairly busy and haven't followed all the developments...

Where can I trade my Bitcoin for Darkcoin anonymously?

And how heavy is the inflation rate?

Currently there are 4.3 Million Dark, how many will there be in lets say one year?

I personally think dgex would be a great idea as well.

They seem to be one of the more innovative exchanges.  Smiley

How far is the progress regarding a implementation for anonymous transactions?

I mean darkcoin is here now and beginning to roll.

NXT mentioned briefly - AGAIN, at about 6:00...

I wish there was a heavy-duty-pro-fulltime-spokesperson that would represent NXT the way that Hoskinson does, or Larimer, etc...

I would like to hear a 1hour LTB show, dedicated to NXT, with Adam B Levine (he's the best interviewer IMO), with his know-how and great questions...

I'm looking forward to hearing Anon, but I think everybody would like to see even more firepower in this regard.

When the AE is officially launched, we should definitely get a spot!

I think I have a great idea for a Nxt asset exchange related website Smiley

It would track your profits/losses on the asset exchange.

You could input you Nxt account, then it would scan the blockchain for which price the assets have been brought.

After that it checks the current buy/sell orders.

This would give the possibility of a nice overview over your assets and how they are developing.

I would do this my self but unfortunately I lack the knowledge to do so.

So I figured I'll just share it with this great community Smiley

Only that the you don't have to input your purchases and sales manually.

This would even be better integrated into the clients. But a website would also be great. Smiley Any volunteers?

I would do it, but time is the issue here. I cannot do many things at once.

I thought about this as well but some people (like me) just like to visit a website, and click "show asset overview" instead of downloading some client which is full packed with features.
It would just be so seamless. That's what attracts people Cheesy

But some people might also prefer it directly in their client  Smiley

The DGEX Initial Public Virtual Offering has started. Share price is 125 NXT each. 31397 shares available (out of 108900 public shares, total 330000 shares).

Public trading will begin later in March. You can access the share purchase page from your DGEX member account main screen (green colored box mid-page).

Are multi-signature transactions possible with Nxt?

Just found out about https://www.bitalo.com, very interesting.

Would it be correct to say it's a mix between localbitcoins (escrowed mechanism for FIAT exchange) and blockchain.info (not holding private keys of the wallet)?

It would be more or less correct Smiley. With one exception - Blockchain.info is a great service, but it has one downside - if your get a virus on your machine, you're screwed. Someone can read the private key when you log into your Blockchain wallet. On the other hand on Bitalo because we use multisig wallets AND two factor auth, so even if your computer at some point gets compromised, hacker would only get one part of the key, while we keep the other one safe. A hacker would need to compromise BOTH your computer and your smartphone to steal from you.

My guess is that it will grow rapidly after the Mt. Gox fiasco.

Another concern I still have with Nxt is the security aspect, with Bitcoin you can store your Bitcoins offline, you never have to connect to the internet in order to create a safe address.

In Nxt you have to be online to create an address and you have to have at least one outgoing transaction in order to protect your account further.

I know that these are really minor problems and that if you want to use your crypto money actively you wont get around being connected to the internet anyway.

But still I would really appreciate some information regarding these "issues".

In the latest LetsTalkBitcoin podcast (88), NXT gets a small mention..

Interested.

Why do you decide to do your own thing instead of working together with the Nxt community?
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 19, 2014, 04:06:34 PM
Why is the creation of assets so expensive?

If it was really cheap you could have a "card trading-game" on top of Nxt  Smiley

Every asset represents one type of card.

Would be easy to implement it in a client as well, I guess...  Cheesy

Is the implementation of a decentralised silkroad potentially possible?
That would be another overkill app  Grin

You can proof the ownership of your address.

You can sent an arbitrary message to the network which involves your offer with all the details.

One important thing would be a reputation feature.

Can this somehow be realized with the voting feature?

Is this possible at all?

Maybe it would be better to replace your product with assets.

Can someone grasp this and tell me if this would be possible and make sense?

@
If I think more about it, maybe a reputation feature is not necessary you could have reputations in boards and stuff.
