Also I DEMAND from the 13M fund at least 1M to be distributed for a group of authors writing a God damn WHITEPAPER asap!
I could do a german translation  Smiley

@neonemu
I'm glad NXT and it's community made that possible for you and Charlie! Smiley
I also have to thank bybitcoin, he's indeed doing a really good job as a stakeholder!

Buying 50k NXT at 0.00005! Smiley

Jean Luc, CfB

Why don't you use Obfuscation for the client code?

It would help in preventing decompiling the latest versions source code for a while... especially new features...

BCNext knew that Java binaries could be easily decompiled, everything in Nxt is made on purpose. U'll get most of the answers in the last part of BCNext's plan...

Oh gawd, I can't take the excitement  Cheesy

Was the NXT just mentioned in Let's Talk Bitcoin?

go to 04:15

Yep he mentioned NXT. I think we are going crypto mainstream.

If Andreas Antonopolous mentioned it - then it WORTH MENTIONING

Forward this! Release the Krakens.

getting a good chunk of nxt in the hands of prominent voices in the bitcoin community could be hugely catalyzing for nxt adoption. for whales out there who know they need to get rid of some of their nxt but arnt sure how, THIS is the way. Give 100k each to the people behind popular bitcoin media. This will make the remaining stash so much more valuable in the long run than if the total amount had been horded.
this!

Was ist denn WDC?

Yeah, why not show us some of the fruits of this work if you want us to send money.
To ask people to invest completely blind and to offer increased reward those higher risk takers just makes this sound...well...scammy.
This!  Smiley

Just post SOME kind of evidence that there is something behind the awesome sounding project you're talking about.
A little screen of the client gui for example.
Just to know that you guys are not complete imposters  Smiley

hmm, interesting distribution system.
following!

You joking right?
Well it is interesting in fact.

Especially if they really have already realized all the features they are talking about.
I mean it sound like this coin is perfect and ready to go, hard to believe but we'll see in 3 weeks. Smiley

Normal. You can replace an alias URI with a new URI, even if it is the same URI. I consider it a bug, but CfB says it is a feature

James
Why would you even consider that a bug?
What con's do you have in mind?

What value is there in changing an aliases URI to the exact same URI. Nothing changed, why should that get accepted? Why not get an error like "you must have submitted duplicate URI", especially if it happens very close in time.

James
Ah okay I misunderstood you.

"Normal. You can replace an alias URI with a new URI, even if it is the same URI. I consider it a bug, but CfB says it is a feature"

I thought you consider the replacement of a URI with a new URI a bug.
But you meant the replacement of a URI with the exactly same URI.
My bad Cheesy
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [IPO-ANN][NEON] :: Neon :: The Most Advanced Second Generation Currency on: January 05, 2014, 11:18:56 PM
You can indeed get a free alias for each account you create, and AFTER 1 month you will be able to transfer them for the minimum fee. So tell me exactly how you profit from moving the free alias instead of just buying one for minimum fee Wink
I'll just create tons of accounts then, running trough every word list I can get my hands on. automated.
If this takes off I'll sell them later.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [IPO-ANN][NEON] :: Neon :: The Most Advanced Second Generation Currency on: January 05, 2014, 11:14:15 PM
Since it is Proof of Stake it will only be slightly superior to distribute the coins over a longer period of time, stakeholders will forge the newly distributed coins anyway. lol

"Written from scratch, in C. Not the Java crap that NXT uses (with all the code in one file lol)"
Pretty bold to say that without any evidence of your coin being even slightly superior.

Why would I invest in the 1st week?
I don't get any advantage investing then over those who do so in the 2nd week.
I'll just wait for the last second and decide then weather your coin is worth investing in.

596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin eventually shift away from SHA256? on: January 05, 2014, 09:22:03 PM
Switching Bitcoin protocol will be extremely difficult and risky. If petaflop power of currently implemented ASIC hardware is lost, the network would become so weak that it'd be vulnerable to anyone who can afford to spend $50ish-million on developing ASICs that use new protocol.

So switching is viable, but dangerous for the network until overall computational power is restored to the point where no single entity can easily amass 51% of hashrate. The 'problem' will worsen as time goes on and more SHA256 ASIC are added to network.

Proof of Stake solves that... just sayin'

As I sent you BTC I agreed with the means of the distribution.
And now you want to suddenly change it?
That's ridiculous.

Why would you suddenly want to sell so many NXT at such a low price?
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 04, 2014, 12:08:46 PM
It's gonna be awesome when it's possible to sent NXT directly over the alias function.
Peter wants so sent NXT to Max.
Max ownes the alias "Max".
So Peter doesn't have to struggle with some crazy number, but with the easy alias.
