Who is protecting the buyers at the moment at an ICO? Is there usually an escrow?
How can you compare investments and trade? it's a lame and absurd comparison  Roll Eyes Investing in an ICO is like playing the lottery, if you are lucky, you have a lot of money, otherwise you lose it. But trading is another aspect, if you give the money to the lottery ticket seller, and then they say you haven't given the money, what do you do? It's completely different, don't make such a dumb comparison. It is the duty of each trading platform to protect their customers from scammers.

Let's say John wants to sell his coins, He creates a Shopify store, johnscoinsstore.com lists his coins for sale, sell his coins and he is done.

Let's say Paul purchased some coins from John's Shopify store, Now Paul want to sell his coins, so Paul sets up a Shopify store paulscoinstore.com, lists his coins for sale, and sells his coins back to John or Jane ...
Yes, I understood what you said. But you have not mention how they make a checkout on their own sales website yet. Can John put any form of payment on his website? So who will protect the buyers? If the Paul has sent John money, but John says he has not received it yet, how to protect Paul?
Hey u thought about to use Shopify for selling Coins?
Yes, he do. And are you just here to advertise your website? in other's topic?

Ya, I am here to announce that I have completed the trade with the condoras. Although it was a bit difficult because of both parties' inexperience, but we have solved it smoothly. condoras are a reputable person and are great for trading at any time  Cheesy Nice to trade with you! Thanks!
(Just a little suggestion, feel free to confirm our trade in my thread if you don't mind)
485  Economy / Currency exchange / [EXCHANGE] MY PAYPAL FOR YOUR BTC, BCH and LTC WITH 1:1 RATIO on: April 05, 2021, 06:27:18 AM

Hello everyone!
My topic created with long term trading and business purposes!

Since my demand for these currencies is quite high, I think I need a main topic here to trade instead of looking for each partner one by one on their topics.

As described on the title, I need some BTC, BCH and LTC to do my transactions. I am aiming for 1: 1 exchanges, so, if you need PayPal to use for your daily activities, feel free to contact me right here, or PM, or Telegram (I encourage you to contact by this forum)

I traded with a guy by sending money normally via PayPal, and he costs a sizable fee to receive money (but I don't), in addition, it takes a minimum of 48 hours for me to confirm the transaction completion and PayPal release the funds for him. And because when you send me BTC or other, you also have to pay a transaction fee. Therefore, I will always priorities sending in the form of F&F and you will get no extra charge  Wink

Another important thing, since I will always send PayPal as F&F, so I will only send first if you are really reputable on this forum. For those who are not reputable or do not guarantee reputation (in my opinion), you will need to send first. Or, to be on the safe side, I will ship it as PayPal goods and services, means that you will be charged a fee that PayPal will collect from you (I don't mind if you want this one  Grin). You can also request escrow if needed, but I won't pay for fee.

The last one, both you and I have to pay a fee to make the transaction, so I want to aim for minimum transactions of $ 200, no maximum limit here, I'll let you know in case I don't have enough budget  Tongue

Most of the necessary information has been given, hopefully I can have many partners, any complaints are always accepted (if it is true), I want to be as transparent as possible  Kiss

Regards
ChuckBuck
486  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake testimonials on "TX accelerator" site https://provenance.im/ on: April 05, 2021, 04:47:19 AM
Great discovery!
And sure, the ad you see is not of http://www.blockcypher.com/, you see it is due to the recommendation of google or the browser you are using (I'm not sure this is the correct wording  Cheesy )
I have just tried entering random hashes into the site, it shows successful acceleration even when I haven't made a payment yet. Just like that is enough to make others suspect, it's a pity that someone is still deceived  Embarrassed
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: April 05, 2021, 12:57:16 AM
Who are you talking about exactly? Many promoters like Stake are paying their bounties directly into the participant accounts, on their own platform, that means they aren't paying any transaction fees to send their payouts. High transaction fees are a big issue for BTC and ETH because it prevents a comfortable and easy access to user funds.
A few casinos make direct payments on their platforms, but others still send payments to users' personal BTC addresses. Whatever, no matter how you get your payment, there's still a small fee to take it anywhere and do anything. Do you just take the payment and keep it there forever?

I've even been guilty of blowing my earnings once or twice.
We are allowed to go wrong a few times to have memorable experiences, right  Cheesy ?

My personal GPU miner brings in a nice little bit of additional funds to play with, and signature earnings are a nice addition to that.
Oh really? I never thought that someone would mine to supplement his betting money
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: April 04, 2021, 06:03:48 PM
Lol, interesting investment some people have here. Not to keep bitcoin, but to buy graphic cards  Grin Just for speculation or using them in mining? Just interesting how it's going with it.
I know a few guys, he regularly buys graphics cards to mine coins, in addition, often some other additional hardware. I guess the guy's purpose is not to mine coins, since miners often buy a lot of hardware at the same time, the money you earn from signature campaigns is never enough to buy it (or he could be an amateur miner). He criticizes 50% for buying, so I guess, he doesn't mine  Roll Eyes
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will crypto sportsbook replace fiat sportsbook in the future? on: April 04, 2021, 04:53:10 PM
What do you think about its chances.
Of course, if we do not consider other factors that may govern gambling, eg legislation. We can say that crypto sportsbook is going strong and is gradually replacing fiat sportsbook. In addition to the factors you mentioned above, the development of cryptocurrency is also extremely important. A lot of people love to gamble, so it will be even better when they can gamble and speculate with cryptocurrencies. It is becoming a trend.

However, to say that crypto sportsbook can replace fiat sportsbook. It is wrong!
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase vs Shopify for new coins on: April 04, 2021, 04:15:32 PM
it doesn't have to be a bank, your merchant store could be a bitcoin store instead of shopify. you can sell stuff for bitcoins if you don't want to get the bank involved.
Well, it means the options are completely expanded according to the customer's wishes, and there won't be any limits, right? Understand your idea, but I think it is difficult to implement. If a customer wants to receive money through BTC, your platform will have to become an intermediary to hold the BTC. If customers want to receive money through the bank. Your platform must work with those banks' payment gateways.
491  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Gate.io and suspicious price difference on: April 04, 2021, 01:34:32 PM
If you look at the image carefully, they claim that the Exchange data source is Coingecko. Perhaps coingecko confused the 2 tokens because they use the same Ticker symbol, but I agree, Etherscan sometimes provides inaccurate price information.
Ya, I did not look carefully at the information there  Cheesy Actually, they use the same symbol, but the pictorial icon is different. I came across on Gate.io and see, this confusion can cause enormous harm  Roll Eyes

It's good that you asked here before sending your tokens to that exchange. You could've lost them all (although worthless).
But the question is why many tokens have the same ticker? Why there isn't a rule to reject deploying token smart contracts that uses a ticker that have been already used?
Yup, but honestly, I don't regret losing that money. But asking the question here, I can mentally prepare myself for the situation, at least, I don't fall short of seeing a large amount of money in my wallet, and then, it's gone  Cheesy
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase vs Shopify for new coins on: April 03, 2021, 09:42:31 PM
Shopify would not be an exchange, you can't returns your coins for money. you can only buy coins from a shopify store. If you would like to sell coins for cash, you would have to setup your own store, provide shopify with your banking information and sell the coins that way. With this model you know who the buyer and sellers are. it's traditional commerce versus an exchange.
Ya, I got you  Wink So, your idea is to bring currencies (created to operate on a decentralized platform) into transactions on a centralized platform like a bank, huh?
493  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 03, 2021, 08:58:25 PM
Its important to see where are we in terms of bitcoin / altcoin season.

What is the meaning of the important thing you are trying to talk about?

Thanks to @bitmover for the idea!
Great idea as well as your respectable effort. It looks so interesting! JayJuanGee seems to associate with everyone  Cheesy
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase vs Shopify for new coins on: April 03, 2021, 08:30:28 PM
with an Exchange you can buy and sell coins with one account, with this model (e-commerce) you can only buy from a shopify store, If you want to sell your coins you would have to setup a store for yourself and start selling the coins from your store front. This gives us the ability to not deal with the KYC problem since we are only selling coins and not buying them.
It brought me up with a big question: Is Shopify just an intermediary platform or an exchange?
I got what you mean, each customer can create their own store there, and sell the coins they want. So, do customers deposit those coins to your platform? If yes, how can your platform hold all coins (no matter what platform it works on, even junk coins)? And if the customer does not need to deposit, so your platform is just becoming an intermediary website. Customers can put anything there, even paper. What is the difference between Shopify and an intermediary website?
495  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk and Reddit accounts Seller on: April 03, 2021, 08:17:50 PM
... to sell Bitcointalk, Reddit and social media accounts were probably hacked or compromised accounts and asking Ethereum as payment.
Well, with my experience in the field, I believe all the accounts he sold were hacked and stolen accounts. Most accounts are inactive for a long time, although he mentioned they had some activity, i believe it was used by him to join the bounty campaign.
Another case might, I presume there's no real accounts to be sold and might trying to scam users and those will take a risk would fall on this scammer's trap.
It is also the case, but the rate is lower. If he just wants to scam, he can create a new account and post, but he used a Full member account. Wouldn't it be a waste to vandalize an account just because of uncertainty scam, right?

About leaving feedback in his account, I think it depends on your personal opinion. Since there are no rules that prohibit the sale of accounts, it just stops at discouraging levels.
18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.
I think myself can be an example. I used to buy this account many years ago. Last year, many problems happened and I have admitted that. As a result, I got a negative feedback with the content: Bought account.
Account trading may not be prohibited, but it is discouraged and you have absolutely reason to leave a negative feedback. Furthermore, the origins of the accounts he sells are also questionable, it could have been stolen, meaning more people had been compromised. So you have one more solid reason to give negative feedback.

It's my objective point of view. But from the perspective of someone who has bought an account, I think I'm pretty wicked giving advice about negative feedback on his account.
Many people will hate me when I make this post

You might wanna be careful here. It looks like coingecko got their data mixed up.
I believe that the information you have provided is accurate and completely relevant. Thank you very much! So, the same things can always happen, it's really dangerous if someone is not careful. The image above was taken by me from Etherscan. I thought that all information on Etherscan must be carefully moderated before posting, but it seems to be a major flaw. Along with the dreadfully high transaction fees, does it seem that ETH and the currencies that operate on ERC20 are getting worse and worse?

However, website down doesn't mean that token has no value, because if that listed on exchange a few people would trade it. Besides that, I hadn't used Gate dot io for trading how they are reputed, so use it at your own risk.
But most of the time, when a project is canceled, the currencies on it no longer work, right? I just finished verifying there, but because the currency I have is not something of value, so I don't need to use it anymore  Cheesy skip it for now  Cheesy Anyway, thank you for being here and giving your opinion  Wink

Yesterday, there was a guy looking for someone to verify his account on Gate.io. I think he's experienced, and maybe it safe

Four consecutive quarters with Bitcoin price growth. That happened only two times in past. 2012 and 2017.

Instead of giving advice like others, can i ask you? You have been leaving this forum for over 3 years, to be honest, you can forget about it. Why did you come back here to ask a difficult question? All you need is to ignore it, remove it from your thoughts. Even though your username is here, I'm pretty sure no one will really remember you (I'm sorry, but it's true). Sometimes I think you're trying to get the attention of everyone here. You did it!  Wink
