481  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the world too dumb for Bitcoins? on: March 07, 2014, 04:10:50 PM
Average means 50% to 50%. So half of population is smarter then average and half of population is dumber. Still intelligence is thing difficult to describe. It is main reason why IQ doesn't measure intelligence. IQ tests measure level of ones skill at writing the test. If you even would say average level is rather low, do you determine yourself also lower, or maybe not high enough to rise average higher.

When it comes to The Sun, compare UK population to sells of the Sun. Also being misinformed dean't mean someone is stupid.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum IPO reboot coming, time to get nervous about the future of crypto on: March 07, 2014, 03:47:42 PM
You can always issue at different country. With inter nationality and flexibility of altcoins it is easy to work and execute projects from all over the world. Not to mention, base on name, this project is already multicultural so I guess it shouldn't be a problem. State regulations are problem that most of initiatives encounter at some point. And to be honest, especially when it comes to common law country like USA, it is best to just stay away.
483  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Getting bitcoin tips? on: March 07, 2014, 02:51:25 PM
There is probably no really good way of making coins fast. Mining with current difficulty might be problematic. Making jobs for coins sounds like good idea. I guess i depend what kind of skill do you have or how much can you invest or maybe you just want coins for free.
484  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: gambling online: best chances to win bitcoins ? on: March 07, 2014, 02:20:19 PM
Hello,
What bitcoin gambling game do you have more chance on winning on?
All the best.
Tough question..
some ideas>

1) 75% - 99% chance to win for this game

2) bitcoin blackjack can deliver some of the best odds in the casino

Good luck,

99 - 75 %

Man that's like not gambling xD

This thread is some kind of guerrilla marketing or something ?! xD

Also blackjack doesn't have good odds at all.

485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 07, 2014, 02:13:44 PM

486  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will hit $1000 by this Friday (07-03-2014) on: March 07, 2014, 02:02:21 PM
I love this random speculation without argumentation Wink

Thing is on market for most of time there aren't that many transactions and at some few moment just large number of coins changes hands. From one point it is nice there is certain stabilization (with constant flow of bitcoins towards China, probably main reason everyone is so optimistic since China will use this coins for everyday shopping etc. keeping them in motion), but it looks like ether people are panicky or people with large amount of coins decide to sold out. Any way it should stop, probably even today since you need resources for such movements.
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want the real Satoshi Nakamoto to come back in the community? on: March 07, 2014, 01:45:08 PM

488  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: SatoshiGrid.com - FIND THE SECRET SPOT AND WIN BTC! FREE CHANCE TO WIN 0.1 BTC on: March 07, 2014, 01:42:33 PM

489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ██[MZC] MazaCoin - National Currency - now @ RussiaToday, Independent, Telegraph on: March 07, 2014, 01:38:36 PM
Looks like market bubble with great PR. Man all of this articles and topic created by person who is not developer but "happy user" hehe.

This "National currency " is weird though hehe. It is like oposit of whole definition of meta-currency Wink
490  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Cryptographic Trust Enough? on: March 07, 2014, 12:45:37 PM
You can't put all of cryptography technologies into one bag and make everyone put opinions about it. General idea is great but we need proper way amount of people or trusted enough company that would work on it.
To make it even more complicated actual cost of such services would be rather hard to define and might be even too high for most of consumers.

In general, even though certain technologies are safe, we can't be sure about it all the time. At some point there might be hacker who would figure it out. Of course such events are less likely then possibility someone would rob your house. at one end we need dude with crowbar, at other group of well skilled and experienced people. For sure it is still better idea then keeping all of data on your computer without any kind of protection. Also according to me, best way to protect yourself is to not keep all of you money at one place. Rather old, traditional way but for sure it works. Recent events related to actual safety of money were not important because bitcoin is less safe then other solution. Those events are important because in the future, whenever someone would trust certain site or group too much, neglect safety, this person should recall mt.gox.

Reputation is everything, so does reputation of any crystallographic company.
491  Economy / Economics / Re: If Russia attacks Ukraine - Bitcoin? on: March 07, 2014, 12:13:47 PM
Russia already attacked Ukraine. This topic get obsolete very fast.

They will definitely use bitcoin for transactions. Only problem is if they will actually use it for investment value.
492  Economy / Economics / Re: America's secret currency better than Bitcoin ??? on: March 07, 2014, 12:10:57 PM
Wow another scam. People are abusing word currency recently. While reading beginning of it you can already notice it is scam. It is like this commercials of gold on tv. Did any one notice price of gold recently...
493  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Units Proposal on: March 07, 2014, 12:07:06 PM
there are other units out there right now. Mbtc are best example, there might be even more right now. Everyone know you don't need to buy 1 btc, you can easily get even 0,0005 ....
494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Down, down, down, down, down on: March 07, 2014, 12:04:37 PM
Well there is difference between mining rate and its cost and speculation that happens right now. Bitcoin will slowly move up, but when it reaches certain price, we shall never know. We probably will be able to mine until around 2100 sooo... yeah. Still it is just past few days. If you bought bitcoin as investment instead of payment vassal , you need to accept there always will be some kind of risk.

In general it shall go up, it depends when.
495  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I'd like to buy ten (10) MTGox bitcoins for US $2000. on: March 07, 2014, 11:59:21 AM
Well bankruptcy is not the end and you might try legal way to get you btc back or equivalent of it. Although at current state there are rather small chances for sure.
496  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Donations for the National MS Society on: March 07, 2014, 11:55:09 AM

497  Economy / Auctions / Re: MarkKarpeles.com Domain For Sale on: March 07, 2014, 11:53:06 AM
I do not expect any one buying it. It would be rather wast of time and money.

Making it troll site not only would be illegal, also would be rather wast of time and just childish.
498  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mtgox is changing owners on: March 07, 2014, 11:38:33 AM

499  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Can I be scammed? on: March 07, 2014, 11:34:52 AM
On average it takes a little under an hour for 6 confirmations. You can view the new blocks (yellow circles) as they are discovered and also the transactions (blue circles) on Bitcoin Monitor:

http://www.bitcoinmonitor.com/

Every time a block is discovered you should see your confirmation number increase by one. Make sure to still check that you indeed have six confirmations on YOUR transaction before completing the deal.

I'm totally supporting this response. Also you can check his reputation.
500  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Playstation 4 Hashing Power for Bitcoin Litecoin etc ??? on: March 07, 2014, 11:32:33 AM
I'm afraid usage of custom miner would be much better then PlayStation 4. Actually it would be rather waste of money compare to power given, especially since you can't upgrade and modify properly. Not to mention cooling would be nightmare. I'm guessing that you haven't even considered xbox for it Tongue
