I am curious, in your world...what is the normal variability that, absent of human influences, you should have?  Should you have -4 every Christmas, just like clockwork?  Or perhaps something between -14 and +6?

Usually i don't buy coins that are launched with ico because often the dev leaves all before or after this last but i think that for once is possible to say that the low volume of the ico got my attention and i decided to bough some veg.

p.s. the dev knows that somebody made a giveaway of veg in the yobit freecoins....

The problem is finding somebody that would like to do a takeover of a coin that isn't old, for now i noticed two coins that got a takeover (Clickcoin and Fantom) but this coin could had something serious because seems focused on vegans... Is so sad that people makes coins just for money and not for ideas

The Situation
In case you don't yet know the story, on November 21, 2012 our father, Gregory Alan Elliott, was arrested, jailed for 3 days, and charged with criminal harassment for essentially disagreeing with, debating, and calling attention to brutal cyber-mobbing campaign lead by a social-media savvy, political operative on Twitter. Two months later, he was charged with two additional counts of criminal harassment by two friends and colleagues of the original complainant. They accused him of also harassing them on Twitter during the same Aug 2012 - Nov 21 2012 time period, but for some reason, only came forward in January 2013. Interestingly enough, after the first two complainants took the stand during trial, the third complainant was pulled by the crown prosecutor literally the morning she was supposed to take the stand herself.

During the course of the trial, as we did our own investigation, lots of information was discovered that led our dad's lawyer, us, and many others to believe that a criminal conspiracy may have been committed to fraudulently charge our dad.

In court the complainants and the OIC admitted that he never said anything threatening or sexual towards them. Yet as a result of these baseless criminal charges, he suffered severe financial, professional, emotional, and psychological devastation.  Shortly after getting bail on Friday Nov 23 2012, he was informed that after roughly 17 years working as a graphic designer, he was being fired from his job without cause. He received no official reason for his termination. But the fact that there were articles posted about him with his mugshots in a few prominent Toronto news media (written by admitted friends of the complainants) literally the day and days after he was arrested alleging he was a harasser, it seemed odd that he was fired at this time as well. He was 52 when this happened, and it was likely he would've worked that job until retirement at 67.

To make matters worse, because his bail conditions prohibited him from using the Internet and computers for the duration of the trial, he was unable to use the tools of his trade and has been unemployable since. Too date, he has paid $50,000 in legal fees, and owes roughly $40,000 more that he is unable to pay at this time.

And if this wasn't sad enough, the only reason he was able to cover his living and legal expenses over the last 3 years was because he received and cashed his pension from work. So, he's essentially been spending what was supposed to be his retirement savings on living and legal expenses since.

To say this has been devastating for him and our whole family would be an understatement.

I'm glad I got out, not happy about the 40% hit I took to get my BTC.  I will NEVER go back there.

if you are waiting on your btc, dont hesitate, get in the lawsuit, or withdraw your btc in altcoins and lose 30% like an idiot.

keep this bumping. nothing else is more important than getting everyone who is owed btc together, right now.

I'm a professional software developer and I've been working on writing a Bitcoin exchange from scratch.  I think the Philippines may be a good location to open an Exchange and the legal requirements appear to be reasonable.  Does anyone have any thoughts on that?

I've done some initial checking into what it would require to create a new foreign-owned corporation in the Philippines, because I intend to be fully registered.  One thing I haven't been able to learn much about is what the banking situation is like.  The US has ACH for moving funds in and out of banks.  India has NEFT. etc.  Does a similar situation exist in the Philippines and if so, what is it?  I've been able to see that if you have an account at "BankA" you can move money easily to another account, but I'm not sure whether this is easy between banks.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

@Ayakashi - We have been working for the last few months with Bangko Sentral, and we are going through the process of becoming licensed as E money issuers and have already created a 100m Peso company as part of the requirements. Although you don't need a license to create an exchange, we do because we are intending to compete with G Cash and Smart Money in Philippines. As for banking, it's fairly straightforward, different bank to bank payments cost about 100 pesos per transaction, depositing money costs nothing if you have bank accounts with most of the popular banks (as we do). It's been interesting learning about the requirements and needs here. I will be at the Bitcoin meetup next week if you want to talk more.

I'm based in Las Vegas, USA, so unfortunately can't attend this meetup but I'll bet you'll see me at one in the near future.  I'm going to get the code nearer to test-ready stage, and then complete the company registration and banking locally. @tagbond, like you I plan to create a 100m Peso company so that I can register as a foreign-owned corporation although we'll have a local office.

i've had only 2.3 btc pending for 5 days now. im honestly not really interested in who in this thread does what unless you can send me the pending withdraw.

...luckily im not dying and in need of it right this second. (which is why i've been patient for the past few days, ever after being banned from the chat for asking about btc withdraw, and i guess so have many others)

however i am taking this serious, and in interest of self preservation/financial stability, and the same for the community who is missing their coins right now, i contacted a lawyer, and

he said he'd gladly start a class action lawsuit, and has already taken paul vernon to court before.

he told me to get everyone together who has their money "stuck" in cryptsy with no valid explanation, and he'd be more than happy to help everyone.

So i am dedicated to making this coin great for small miners and various projects i have planned.

Now I can give you guys a breakdown of what VGB is - as it was intended to give the smaller miner an edge, relatively speaking, on a % basis.

So then each Golden Block, instead of being worth the normal 49 coins (every 70 seconds) will be worth just over 205 Blocks, hence the name the Vlad Golden Block which means if you hit just one Golden Block you will be instantly rewarded over 10,000 coins, a massive difference from just 49 coins.  That's a huge amount of coins if you're an average or small miner - it would be like literally owning the entire network all to yourself for 4 hours and hitting every single 49 coin block again and again, and if you compare that to the 10 minute block times of Bitcoin, it would be like owning the whole network and hitting every single block for nearly a full day and a half.  That is a lot of power in the hands of any small miner and it can literally push any small miner to the next level.

It's a clear and fair break for everyone but especially for the small miner, this kind of Golden Block hit, over 10,000 coins would be a big deal and on a relative basis, this could help a small miner more quickly upgrade to a much better rig while at the same time these Vlad Golden Blocks don't exclude anyone as big miners have an equal chance of hitting them too although for the big guy 10,000 coins would not make such a big deal as to the small guy, which is why I said this was a fair protocol but would benefit the small guy more.

Here's the info to get started so let's see who gets that first Vlad Golden Block first.
