Can people open their masternode wallet (dat) on their pc while its being used on their masternode as well?

I then shut darkcoin-qt on my local machine and moved the backed up .dat file to the server with darkcoind not running. Then proceeded to build the masternode. All seems to be showing up. |

I think that can cause some trouble as the other one is already open (I'm assuming you are talking about opening a local copy of wallet.dat), but it is super easy to check balance on the server from your computer with the command line or with something like Putty. Who will risk running such a server besides security geniuses?
You can have your 1000 DRK in a "local" wallet running on your personal computer and have the server running the master node with an empty wallet. So even if your public server is hacked, they can't steal your 1000 DRK. will future masternodes require less DRK?
No - dev said that 1000 DRK is a good number, any lower and there will be too many nodes causing too much network load. Thanks for the great answer. Not to tempt fate but once the server say gets hacked Im presuming they then be able to ascertain > target the IP of your local wallet. Either way the 1000 DRK have to be "online" right? so you'll still require some major balls to run a masternode. What do u think? Im also interested in this. It is correct that your local wallet has to be online to have your masternode running right? |

Are masternodes listed anywhere besides chaeplin's site? It's still down.
Both mine can see themselves and several others, but they don't see each other. And their counts are significantly different.

That does look pretty good but who are you? Is any of the money earned by this campaign goes to the Dev? Towards bounties? or are you just making profit on someone else work? At the prices I set everything at there is an estimated profit of $42 if all 75 are sold, which is the change between the cost and price. I created them simply because I saw some interest and wanted one myself. Other than that I am a nobody, but if Evan would like the $42 to put towards development, I would have no issue driving the 15 miles to Phoenix to give it to him. I cannot change the payment options as I do not control the site, just the campaign. It's not possible to make the D of the front bigger? Much more bigger! Here I had a go I set the price to the lowest profit so shirts are $12 each. Are Darkcoins logos and images copyrighted?
Is there a problem with using the logo on shirts, physical coins etc to sell at cost price?

Technically, anything is copyrighted the second it is created. I created the current 3D coin graphic. And I would not really appreciate someone selling shirts of it. Though I don't mind people using it virtually/on-line for an icon or website. That's what it's for. But selling completely for it's "graphic value", like on a t-shirt, would bug me. You'd have to ask Evan or somebody official about the D logo itself. Evan and/or Darkcoin Foundation own that. It was contracted and paid for thru DesignCrowd. I was thinking of doing some shirts with it myself since I have a nice super hi-res version and can make variations. But I haven't heard anything back from a similar inquiry (about t-shirts) to Evan. Fair enough, was more interested in the D logo tbh Thanks for the response and your work looks awesome |
