Latium has distributed over 7,000 LAT today. These payments are for approved user commissions up to July 6, 2014. Payments up to July 7, 2014 will be issued tomorrow. Thank you for your support and patience.

Can I get a dev or someone who knows something to contact me?

We have a user who sent a deposit, transaction ID eb4c8baff0de0ba0c317daa9f02e5d96797fdc25ca9def059460c9ac6c154c77

We never got it. We look for it, our wallet has no idea what that txid is.

I asked him for his version number, he says 0.7.3

I told him wow, he must be on really old software - we recompiled from the git last week and we're on version 1.8. He sends me the link to the git, says he downloaded the wallet 2 weeks ago. The git shows version 0.7.3 - but the linux is reporting 1.8 - and I personally downloaded from the git and compiled about a week ago. I just now as I'm writing this checked the block explorer - and both our wallet and the explorer are on block 27136.

So why's the git say 0.7.3, why does our customer have 0.7.3, but we have 1.8, and when he sent us LAT to an address we control the transaction was unknown in our wallet?

Confused.

The transaction is here: http://blockchain.latium.cc/tx/eb4c8baff0de0ba0c317daa9f02e5d96797fdc25ca9def059460c9ac6c154c77

The wallet should be 0.7.3. If downloaded from github (using git clone) at https://github.com/LatiumCoin/Latium it should compile as 0.7.3

Hi Everyone,

Latium has now been added to the Bittrex exchange and because of your support Latium continues to gain more traction every day.

We are still on schedule to make a mass pay tomorrow as we have stated. Please understand that we cannot answer all questions that have already been addressed previously.

We sent an email and posted here explaining the reason commissions were going to change over the last few days and this process is almost complete. We also greatly appreciate the community pointing out prior posts to newer users. We apologize for our lack of attentiveness  in the forums over the last few days. We have a fulltime support manager that handles the majority of the posts and social media, but he has been on Holiday since last week and will return tomorrow. The rest of the team here has been focused on making sure all the appropriate changes have been made to the system to insure more efficient payouts and value for our hard working affiliates.  We are sure there are certain affiliates that will see a substantial change in commission. We have seen that many referrals do not login to the system or add a wallet. We no longer view these registrations as new users since they add no value to anyone. Moving forward the goal should be to spread the message to people who have a legitimate interest in joining the Latium network. All commissions for non-active users (no Latium wallet) will be removed.

We have seen many users ask about the staking process. This is a set mathematical algorithm and a set time of when you will mint a block cannot be provided because many factors play a role in this calculation and every user’s situation is unique. If the coin balance in your wallet is smaller you will mint less frequently. The amount of coins other users have available to stake (always changing) also plays a role in how frequently you will mint a new block. If you ever question if the POS system is working, you can verify that it is by reviewing the block explorer. The system only works on POS, so anytime you see a confirmation that means someone just minted a new block. The POS system has been very stable and the amount of blocks minted daily is in line with the 150 second block time goal. If your wallet is unlocked, you have coins available, and no reserve balance set, you will mint a new block and be paid interest for the entire age of your coins no matter if takes 1 day or 120 days. We have zero control over when this happens because the POS system is integrated in the network, and interest is paid directly to your wallet automatically.

As always we appreciate all of your support and confirm our commitment to the long term viability of Latium.

We wanted to update everyone. Legitimate pending commission will start moving back to approved over the next few hours. We apologize for the delay we underestimated the time it would take for the system to update. We currently estimate around 11,000 commission entries will be moved back from pending to approved over the next few hours.  Again payment requests will be paid to current on July 8th 2014. Some users might see payments on July 7th, as we will be testing our new mass payment system. This new system should help speed up payments and mitigate future payment delays. Again thank you for your support and patience during this transition.

Note: We have confirmation that Latium will be added to at least one additional exchange next week. We will update everyone once integration is complete.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LATIUM on: July 03, 2014, 02:50:00 PM
We would like to thank everyone for their continued support. Latium has rapidly grown and is currently the world’s only crypto currency that allows access without the need for mining or purchasing coins. We appreciate your efforts and know it is because of users like you that Latium has been successful.

The Latium Team has heard the community’s concerns and we have been working hard to deliver a system that will create more value for all our hard working affiliates. We understand users want to see faster payments and better fraud mitigation. Hard working affiliates should not have their coin value diluted by spammers and people trying to abuse the system with no intentions of referring legitimate users.
Moving forward we are implementing additional steps to insure only real users generate commission.

The first step in this process is the requirement for users to have a legitimate wallet address in their profile. This will ensure that the registered user is actually there to claim Latium not just generate commission for a referral.

Today all unpaid commissions will be moved into a pending status. Commissions for users with a legitimate wallet address in their profile will be moved back to approved by the end of the day. An email will be sent to all users requesting they add a legitimate wallet address to their Latium profile by July 6th 2014. All commissions for users who do so will be moved back to approved status on July 7th 2014. We will then issue payments for all approved commissions through July 6th on July 7th. This step helps ensure legitimate hard working referrals maintain value for their efforts.

From July 7th moving forward all approved commissions for the previous day will be moved from approved to pending, and all commissions for users with a legitimate Latium Wallet will be moved back to approved prior to daily payments being sent.

We are developing an automated system that will include user validation and instant payments. We will continue to update the community on these developments.

Again thank you for your support!

He parado de pagar publicidad, veo que no estáis pagando, llevó una semana solicitando pagos, esperaré a que se solucione todo... porque mis afiliados se desaniman!!! es una lastima porque me encanta Latinium y se esta creando mala fama.

I have stopped paying advertising, I see that you are not paying, it took one week requesting payments, wait to be cleared all ... because my members is discouraged! it's a shame because I love latinum and is creating bad reputation.

Please send us a direct message with your email address and Latium wallet address and we will work to solve the issue.

Good thinking. We have developments in the works that have the potential to significantly increase the value of the coin. Letting them earn interest in your wallet wouldn't be a bad idea  Cheesy

Since you're answering here (I had asked you on twitter), I have a question for you.
How are you combating against referral spam. I know there are systems and sites that you can hire people to make 20,30, 100+ accounts and more for next to nothing and doing so while looking like real users.

I have a good network of real people that would sign up and maybe even use the coin. I want to make sure it's worth my time and someone isn't going to come in and get 1,000 referrals, sell them all off over and over again and crash the value?

Thanks

(edit.. oh, I see you just answered on Twitter.. maybe you can elaborate your answer here. Smiley )

PS.. How do I add channels and tracking to my links so I know what placements are getting clicks?

Thanks

This is great question and thanks for posting it here. We agree fighting fraud is a critical part for Latium’s success as the world’s first viral currency.  We are currently developing systems that will ensure commissions are only paid to legitimate referrals on an automated basis. Currently the Latium team employs a host of different tracking and fraud detection technologies, and also a manual review process. To give you an idea of the effectiveness of our current fraud mitigation team, to date Latium has registered over 39,000 users in its first 6 weeks of operation but has only paid out around 85,000 LAT.

The new systems we are building will only strengthen our network and give Latium users the assurance they deserve. Maintaining value for our legitimate users is a primary focus and we would suggest all participants hold on to their Latium as we fully believe value will increase substantially in the coming months. One of the main reasons we chose this deployment methodology was to mitigate the risk of a handful of large participants dumping the coin. To date the coins in circulation are well distributed and the only way any single user would hold a large amount of coins is if they bought the coins on exchange at these undervalued prices.

Latium and HitBTC exchange are looking for potential market makers for an upcoming listing on the HitBTC exchange. Please DM for more details. Having LAT listed on HitBTC will greatly improve the value and reputation of the coin.
