481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: worst looking cripto currency exchange ever on: August 31, 2013, 01:33:58 PM
It looks ugly, too dark for me. Green & dark grey don't match.

bter.com is very nice, light colours and nice design.

May I know what is the procedure for requesting for a refund (if its available)

Cheers
+1
Yes, how to request a refund?
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Price to hit $25? on: August 30, 2013, 08:02:07 PM
Not 1/4, BTC is around $140 today and I doubt it will be under $100 again.
When more and more people start to mine and trade LTC services will come, it's natural.

Anyway, like the Russians say: Поживём – увидим
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Price to hit $25? on: August 30, 2013, 07:12:40 PM
LTC will be more and more popular:

485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List Of CPU Mining only Alt Coins on: August 30, 2013, 07:00:23 PM

@superresistant
CopperLark is just a russian version of the megascam XRP aka Ripples.
CopperLark is scam. The truth must be repeated, becuase the lies are repeated too.
I dont support scam, so i will not List them.

@ Adamlm
Kingcoin is scam, the developer mined with his GPU while distributed cpu miners only. (as an cpu only coin...)

I didn't know they where scam. Where have you seen that?
As for kingcoin: there was no premine nor superblocks at the beginning, only this "GPU issue".. But this coins is still alive and quite low diff now.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coblee - Litecoin - Wired Article on: August 30, 2013, 05:06:52 PM
Big +1 for Coblee

Will we see $10 for 1 LTC this year?
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SRC] SecureCoin | A Fast and Secure Version of Bitcoin | LAUNCHED on: August 30, 2013, 04:50:57 PM
p2p is working well. 1.67259 worth of payouts in about 20 minutes. Seems to be working fine though still not too many people using it. I'm going to start bringing more hash here.
Working fine for me, payouts received Smiley
Very good work !!!
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SRC] SecureCoin | A Fast and Secure Version of Bitcoin | LAUNCHED on: August 30, 2013, 12:44:04 PM
Currently testing a p2pool node for SRC here : http://pool.bounceme.net:44397
You can join but it might needs some more tuning ...

I gave you my hash but it appears no one else did. As shady as the other two pools are you'd think people would jump all over this.
I am also going to test it for couple of hours.
So far connections OK, let's see how about payouts.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List Of CPU Mining only Alt Coins on: August 30, 2013, 10:04:28 AM
KingCoin

Low diff now, easy to mine with CPU only
490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to give away my bitcointalk account on: August 30, 2013, 07:40:21 AM
I realized Bitcoin is a scam.

Now I want to give away my bitcointalk account to anybody who is interested and sends a small donation to: 1BZ1FsWUcdg76cgzH37iMjhhbtEpUPA4iB
Hey, don't give up so quickly Wink
It's still an early stage, good time to buy or earn really cheap bitcoins.
You will see in 10 years.

A quote from lonesoul:

If bitcoin succeeds in taking over 1% of the transaction market, they will be worth $100,000 per coin.
Basis for that statement can be found here:

http://falkvinge.net/2013/03/06/the-target-value-for-bitcoin-is-not-some-50-or-100-it-is-100000-to-1000000/
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SecureCoin is taking the Cryptoworld by storm! on: August 29, 2013, 08:05:03 PM
The unique part about this coin is that it consists of several algorithms, which are :
... the same as Quarkcoin.
How is it unique, if it can be mined with the same miner as QuarkCoin?

As the dev says:

Bitcoin successful economic model, better adjustability, and no instamining massive block rewards. Other optimizations are included for better performance and usability.

"The most secure coin"

Lots of miners can't even download the blockchain to help secure the coin. lol

Here is current blockchain database and peers.dat. Maybe it can help. Enjoy.

It was not really that fair as it's been marketed.

if the launch was not fair, please share with the community your vision of a fair launch
Right.

It was one of most fairest altcoin launch this year

I downloaded the client 5 mins after the announced launch, added two listed nodes and connected after more 3-5 minutes. Around 22:10 I was ready to mine and got first (orphaned..) blocks, see my post just after the launch. I'm not connected in any way with the dev, this is my sole personal opinion.

Also try turning off your firewall, it may be limiting you.

Yes, on Win open ports 12567 and 12568 and also allow securecoin-qt.exe (run firewall.cpl to edit settings)
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SRC] SecureCoin | A Fast and Secure Version of Bitcoin | LAUNCHED on: August 29, 2013, 06:26:04 PM
Still cannot connect the frickin' wallet to the frickin' network, not a frickin' block even after adding the gazillion of nodes on the first post. WTF?  Angry

Why isn't there a securecoin.conf either listed on the first page or included with the zip file?
Then I would at least know that the conf is OK.

For me, one of the worst coin launches, maybe it is a fair launch for someone else...

Maybe someone of currently connected users should share his peers.dat file?
Would it help  Huh
I can do it if it will be helpful.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] MarieCurieCoin, all-in-one altcoin (MCC) on: August 29, 2013, 06:12:39 PM
It doesn't represent the idea? Lol. Look at most coins names..
I personally wouldn't buy any coin named MarieCurieCoin. No offense.
The name is also a bit too long.  Smiley

Sorry guys, also no offernse, but I just couldn't resist... Grin  Grin  Grin
There is a quite popular meme in Poland which makes this name really funny

497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SRC] SecureCoin | A Fast and Secure Version of Bitcoin | LAUNCHED on: August 29, 2013, 05:51:09 PM
I think there is something odd with the crypto-expert.com pool, and at least for the moment I am switching away from it.
On the coinmine.pl pool, I've earned a third as much in about 20 minutes as I did in about 6 hours on crypto-expert.

hm, I need to try this second pool as well
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CCE) SRC-SecureCoin Pool Launched on: August 29, 2013, 10:40:40 AM
Thank you for this pool, connections ok on 7103 and 7106, good work!
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SRC] SecureCoin | A Fast and Secure Version of Bitcoin | LAUNCHED on: August 29, 2013, 07:32:50 AM
Anyone who know how to compare folder, you will see how shameless the dev. Second to kingcoin in Aug. congrat.  Cheesy
KingCoin is alive and well, CPU mining is quite easy now due to low interest in this coin.

And for SRC it's time to create a working pool...
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SRC] SecureCoin | A Fast and Secure Version of Bitcoin | LAUNCHED on: August 28, 2013, 09:09:01 PM
Hmm... "No block source available..."  suggestions?

same problem here ..no connections to network
add this to securecoin.conf:

addnode=24.222.191.37
addnode=71.187.248.95
addnode=71.77.233.192
addnode=54.234.172.139
addnode=86.2.171.203
addnode=208.77.217.7
addnode=208.77.217.8
addnode=54.226.8.222

alternatively open the debug console and enter

addnode xx.xx.xx.xx add

for every node from the list

Then wait about 3-5 minutes...
