...

Perhaps if you didn't keep posting bile such as this on random users trust feedback walls then you wouldn't get your knickers in a knot.

Let's examine this shall we? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=101872;page=sent;offset=0

Just one positive trust feedback, four or five neutral trust feedback then the other 495 trust feedback are all negative. (and that's just the first 500 of your trust feedback posts from recent working backwards from today)  Roll Eyes

We probably don't know the full extent the abuse goes on in some of the locals, especially ones like the Turkish board.

Like I tried to warn you about?

4802  Economy / Reputation / Re: Am I obliged to share reason behind my distrust list? on: February 13, 2020, 11:52:37 AM
If someone PMs you asking the reason why you've distrusted them, you could--if you wanted to be polite--tell them the reason, but you're certainly not obligated to.  Nor are you obligated to make the reason(s) public for everyone that you've distrusted.

I've had members give me a ~ that made me scratch my head, but I've never gone so far as to send anyone a PM about it.  The way I figure it, it's their right to distrust whoever they want without explanation, and I'm not going to be trusted by everyone on this forum.  So OP, do whatever you feel like doing as far as this goes.  You don't owe anyone an explanation, but that doesn't mean you have to withhold one, especially if they ask for a reason.

OP:

I recently tried to politely ask one person why they placed me on their distrust list only to have that person go on an irrational attack which caused another person to add me to their distrust list.

Not content that person I'd contacted then created a thread about me which has been referenced by yet another random person as an opportunity to put me at the butt of their joke.

Turns out the first person distrusts me because a long while ago I gave trust to someone else.  Said person (in the mind of the one giving me distrust) has done some transgression or other.  Instead of contacting either of us about their concerns, we were both slapped with distrust.

Cause and effect.  I randomly selected one user from a thread we post in - I now have two negatives for my trouble.

OP: If you're an unreasonable sort of person, then you'll go down this path and end up causing unnecessary grief.  If you're a reasonable person you'll respond and work through any concerns.  I've been contacted recently and worked through some issues, but that's just me.

Good luck navigating this cesspool.

I think this case will reflect on how a lot of people around the world feel about New Zealand and its people.  I would like to see NZ pay the right people of the world back, making sure what money is left goes to the appropriate people.

You don't know much about businesses that have been placed in receivership - do you?

I have Confusion with this Trust Flags
Current I have negative 2 in yellow what is this mean
I didn't do any transaction on in this forum  for someone to give such feedback
Read the comment and reference link for the reason for the feedback.

Not sure why @shasan seems to be trying to link the two items together, however you have two negative feedback trusts from people on the DT1/2

The fact they have also created a flag and supported it (in yellow above) isn't always connected to the trust feedback (in red text).

Were they given to you now it is quite likely they are in breach of theymos' latest edit concerning trust feedback being for transactions.

The fact that you don't seem to be mentioned in the thread's OP for the Flag could well mean they have engaged in creating a false flag - one of dozens, if not hundreds flooding this forum.

*edit* was searching for your name - like a lot of others they've very sloppily given just your user profile number.  Very sloppy work.

Due to issues with stability of LN wallet on Android I have closed my LN lending thread for the duration with no re-opening time-frame.
4807  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2020 Q1) on: February 12, 2020, 10:40:47 PM

Just to correct you there:

 • First investigation was done by Yoshi on the 03 November 2019, 04:29:13 - HERE
 • The second investigation was done by Timelord2067 on the 19 November 2019, 18:28:01 - HERE
 • While the third investigation was done by KTChampions on the 24 November 2019, 22:43:07 - HERE

My investigation uncovered the connections in a different approach from the first and third.

Please update your post accordingly.
4808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IDEA for a lottery that does not depend on luck on: February 12, 2020, 10:09:35 PM
I find it a little bit strange that a newbie comes into bitcointalk with a proto-concept for a lottery by makes no mention of the back end working of the competition - who will adjudicate, who will act as escrow for the funds and where will the competition be held - here or, off site?  There are plenty of questions that need to be answered by the OP.
4809  Economy / Gambling / Re: lightning-roulette.com on: February 12, 2020, 04:21:47 AM
I see the OP is inactive, however I was just wondering if both of these:

Node: lightning-roulette.com   https://1ml.com/node/031678745383bd273b4c3dbefc8ffbf4847d85c2f62d3407c0c980430b3257c403      (~ BTC 9.0 locked in channels)

Node: ln.lightning-roulette   https://1ml.com/node/02fc95ab87b02980e39a935cc88a5dd8cb4facefbef7f1b9a43b1545605cc017f8      (0.0 - empty channels)

are official connections to their Casino?  One was last active four hours ago while the other was last active a year ago.
4810  Economy / Gambling / Re: ** Soft Launch ** Moonlanding.io **WITH WELCOME BONUS** on: February 12, 2020, 04:14:21 AM
I've been interested in the Lightning Network for a while now and have noticed a few of the Casinos are embracing the LN.

I did a search for "moonlanding" on https://1ml.com/search but couldn't find it.  Does it go under another name?

Am just trying to install again. BRB.

OK, Have installed using the link above - the add-on still has the yellow dialogue box which says: "This listing is not intended for this platform."

Installed, restarted, got the white circle link, went into options and turned on DT and inactive settings and it looks to be working ok.

ON the mobile it installed version 2.0.3 - there does not seem to be any "auto update" on/off setting.

Sometime today my PC version has auto-updated itself from version 2.0.2 to 2.0.3

As it turns out... I found a little Lightning TestNet faucet/test thing: https://htlc.me/

They'll give you some free TestNet funds to play with... Wink
Have updated post #2 with this link.  Many thanks.
4816  Economy / Lending / Re: Free lightning tests on: February 11, 2020, 01:19:37 AM
Do you have a TestNet Lightning setup at all? I've managed to get Lightning on my "home built" Electrum 4.0.0a0 up and running and a channel opened... but it's on TestNet as I wasn't really brave enough to do it on MainNet at the moment Tongue

No I don't deal with testnet. I'd rather risk my funds and learn from my mistakes...

LoyceV or potentially timelord may be able to help there (or daveF). Although it seems loyce might have closed his thread like timelord did - they may still have some testnet funds available though.

My Eclair testnet wallets seem to be still working ok - head over to my lending thread and send me a request.

(Haven't figured out if Blue wallet takes testnet coins as yet.)

There's also the Lightning Network Lenders' (and borrowers) discussion thread if you run into any trouble.
4817  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: February 11, 2020, 01:07:37 AM
I'm guessing it might be related to this?  What does your warning say?
https://www.ghacks.net/2019/09/06/firefox-add-ons-warning-this-extension-isnt-monitored-by-mozilla/

In a yellow dialogue box I have the warning "This listing is not intended for this platform." which I'm presuming is the Android device as the PC version just had a generic "untested" warning similar to the spelling/dictionary extension I installed not that long ago.

I was able to install it and enabled the server-based features without any warnings, both in Firefox and in Tor Browser on Android (other than Tor Browser's standard request to allow addons.mozilla.org).

It's definitely an android version of Firefox on my mobile phone.

Timelord2067, please post or PM a screenshot if you can. Granted there is nothing we can do if it's a standard warning but let's make sure that's what it is.

I'm working on it.

I tried to install BPIP for Firefox on my mobile phone (android).

Got a terse warning not to install it.
4819  Economy / Speculation / Re: One satoshi for $1 dollar will occur someday on: February 10, 2020, 03:38:28 PM
Why don't you make some simple calculations before posting such outlandish claims? If the exchange rate climbs to $1 per Satoshi (or $100 million per BTC), then the total market capitalization of Bitcoin would be $1,800 trillion. The current global wealth is estimated at somewhere between $250 trillion and $300 trillion. Now you are claiming that the market cap of Bitcoin would be 6 times the global wealth.

Think BIG:

$1.8 Quadrillion.  Grin  Cool  Kiss

(short form)
4820  Economy / Speculation / Re: One satoshi for $1 dollar will occur someday on: February 10, 2020, 03:32:50 PM
Someday? It can be today! Anyone can buy 1 satoshi from me for a dollar!

You beat me to saying that!

In any event, as one person has already pointed out the Lightning Network deals in fractions of a satoshi.  Some exchanges are already permitting trading to occur to on hundredth of a satoshi in bitcoin (as opposed to other alts) - the eight decimal places can shift one way or the other with consensus.  I suspect Satoshi created eight decimal places to enable users to get used to having such small fractions, but envisaged even smaller units would follow wide acceptance.

Twenty-one Million Bitcoins Divided by Seven billion people is roughly BTC 0.003 for every person on the planet.

A while ago there was a 21 BitCoin Club being one-millionth of the total number of BitCoins that will become available.  I'm not even sure it still exists (they may have cashed in already).
