4842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to take part in airdrops? on: April 15, 2018, 05:22:46 PM
Hey guys, what do you think about airdrops? It’s a good and easy way to earn money. However it takes a lot of your personal time, so is it worth it to take parts in them?

I used to take part in a lot of airdrops - but a lot of them are a waste of time. Nowadays I only take part in those that look like good projects. Yes an airdrop can be worth applying for, but I think the most efficient use of time is to make a quick judgement each time you see an airdrop come up as to whether or not it seems worthwhile.
4843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: hold or sale what is opinion ? on: April 15, 2018, 04:12:48 PM
Should we hold on to altcoins which we have invested and see the price dropping every moment or it will be better to sell them or hold.

The time to sell was probably January. I don't think it's much of a decision to make right now - definitely hold. The market is showing strong signs of having stabilised, and looks to be moving into recovery. Definitely look long-term. Current prices will soon seem like a bargain. And later, the heady heights of Dec/Jan will also seem like a bargain Smiley
4844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea is hurting from the bear market on: April 13, 2018, 12:48:34 PM
South Korea is a very wealthy and advanced country. The public in South Korea are ahead of most countries in accepting and buying crypto. There is also the same problem affecting a lot of advanced countries in that the younger generation feel priced out of things such as buying a home that their parents' generation took for granted. This means that more young people than normal there are looking for a way to get rich... which draws them to crypto. There will be plenty of South Koreans who have made a lot of money from crypto, equally there will be a lot who got in during the December rush who are now hurting. Ripple is indeed very popular there, which is one reason that the Ripple rise and fall in the early part of this year was more dramatic even than the rest of the coins experienced.

No reason for anyone to panic though, the market will recover and South Korean investors likewise will recover.
4845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience is the key on: April 13, 2018, 12:28:56 PM
As a matter of fact, it is very few number of noobs in the cryptocurrency business that understand the level at which patience is required and valuable in the business. I do tell my friends around me that wish to come in to the business “it’s only patience ones that would feed from the milk of a lion” . I bought some coins few weeks ago, which I decided to hold while it was dipping but I keep holding with zero fear and absolute patience. Presently, i’m In over 47% profit in all. My advice to my colleagues is all you need is buy into coins with good potential and relax even while it’s at dip. Trust me, you won’t live to regret anything if only you would be able to hold with patience. Thanks

Patience is indeed vital. A lot of people seem to come in expecting quick gains, and price movements to always be upwards. People also tend to panic whenever a coin starts dropping. The most valuable advice to anyone new who is looking at price charts and panicking is this: zoom out. Look at the long term trend in crypto, look at where prices were a year ago, and five years ago. Crypto is the future, and eventual mainstream adoption of blockchain and smart contracts etc is inevitable... but there will certainly be bumps along the road.

Be calm, look to the future, don't panic.
4846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [HELP] Invest in ICO on: April 13, 2018, 12:00:55 PM
How to invest in ICO ,,?!
Is it profitable ..?!
What are the risks .. ??
Can anyone help me for this problem .. ??
how to see if it is SCAM or not SCAM ... ??

Don't just blindly throw your money at any ICO, that is a good way to lose it all.
First you need a solid understanding of crypto, and the various types of project that are already established. Once you have that knowledge, it gives you some context against which to judge any new project. You would then need to do a lot of research to determine if an ICO is good or not, especially team, use-case and roadmap. You can also assess their chance of success by studying the whitepaper and their website, and reading any existing reviews of the project.
4847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you believe that THIS DAY IS A DAY OF RECKONING TO ALL CRYPTOS? on: April 13, 2018, 11:29:14 AM
The month of mid February and the whole March is a RED DAY Month, so many traders specially the new one are loosing their money because of this long Dip of all cryptos,..

NOW, DO YOU BELIEVE THAT THIS PRESENT MOVEMENT IS A GOOD SIGN?

Let us discuss about your thoughts...

Is it the day now of Reckoning or just a simple pump and dump to all cryptos?

I think that the upswing of yesterday and today is a good sign. The whole market downward trend has been going on for a few months now. The problem was that the December/January rise was too rapid. There was always going to be a fall, and the problem with a rapid rise means that there is no established solid base to fall back to. The market has been dropping in search of a good foundation. It bounced back twice from about $270 billion, which suggested some strength at that level. In the last few weeks we dropped a bit below that, but have now bounced back again. Every time we bounce back, the base at around $270 billion grows stronger. Once there is sufficient strength there, the market can resume its steady upward trend.
4848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your prediction on the total cryptocurrency market cap by the end of 2018 on: April 12, 2018, 01:38:32 PM
Hello guys with the current marketcap at 271 billion what is the best market price prediction we can see at the end of this year 2018?? Wink

I think we'll pass $1 trillion ($1000 billion).

271 billion is quite an important point... this is where the market drop has stopped with an upward rebound twice in the last couple of months. The third time we dropped below this threshold, but have now climbed back to this point (and in the last few hours broken above again). There is growing evidence of substantial strength in the market at around $270 billion, and the more this evidence grows, the more it sets us up for another whole market bull run.
4849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins rallying on: April 12, 2018, 08:35:09 AM
Looked at altcoins and they've started rallying pretty hard all at once, whats the reason for this? Is it because of Bitcoin going sideways for a decent while or some other reason?

I think at the moment we have to look at the market as a whole rather than individual coins. We bounced back twice quite sharply from whole market lows of about $270 billion. Then over the last couple of weeks we have dipped a bit below that. The latest mini-rally has pushed the whole market back up to $270 billion. As far as I'm concerned, this is a sign that this could be a fairly stable minimum. Essentially, again my own perspective, we have been falling for months and now there are the first signs that we've hit solid ground. Once this is more firmly established, we can anticipate the whole market moving upwards again.
4850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 69 ETH, What to do? on: April 12, 2018, 07:47:23 AM
My advice if you have a reasonable amount of ETH is to just hold it. That's what I am doing. Crypto is still young, and ETH has a vast amount of untapped potential. Currently it is used mainly for ICOs, but smart contracts can go way beyond that. Be patient, wait a few years for ETH and crypto as a whole to mature a bit, and you will likely see huge gains.
4851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I just go commit suicide? on: March 28, 2018, 09:34:18 AM
Don't panic. Look at the longer-term trend. Yes we have had a couple of bad months, but this is because the December/early January rise was so high.
Give it a few months, and any price under $1000 for ETH will seem like a bargain.
4852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Realistic predictions for 2018 on: March 28, 2018, 09:16:58 AM
Forecasting in crypto is often wildly inaccurate.

Personally I expect that crypto will continue the long term trend of a slowish increase in value, with plenty of rises and pullbacks along the way. The long-term trend on the charts is fairly clear... but as I say, all guesswork, and predictions are generally unreliable Smiley
4853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not sell your crypto! on: March 28, 2018, 08:24:08 AM
As I have seen this already too many times since past few years, I believe it would be beneficial to share my experience with crypto markets. Do not sell your coins/tokens when the market is dropping, it's just a pure speculation and perhaps market manipulation from whales who only target to earn on whatever the price moves they can achieve. If you're reasonable, sell when market is high and buyer/hold when market is bleeding. I hope this helps you to decide  Wink

Yes, agreed. It is very easy to panic when prices are falling. It is important to look at the situation logically, and particularly to zoom out on the charts to see the longer term pattern. If you look at the whole market value over the last year, the big December rise and the big fall after are not the real pattern. What is actually happening overall is a general slow upward trend.
4854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do we need to diversify? on: March 28, 2018, 08:12:47 AM
Why do we need to diversify our holdings? why we just all in in one coin to have a one time bigtime profit.

Because if everything is in one coin, then if that coin crashes or the project fails, you lose money.
If you diversify across 5 coins and 1 crashes, you still have the profit from the other 4.

It is a way to reduce risk - but it does also potentially reduce reward. It's all down to personal preference, and how much risk you want to take, and how much you believe in a particular coin.
4855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market stabilized? on: March 27, 2018, 02:35:58 PM
It definitely hasn't stabilised yet. We have seen some good resistance just below $300 billion for the whole market, but there is no guarantee that the bear market is over.
4856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is NEO not kicking off? on: March 27, 2018, 12:30:08 PM
Why is NEO not kicking off?  Isnt it supposed to be the Chinese Ethereum? Still worth investing in it?

NEO is a great project , and now is the perfect time to buy.
The reason it is not rising is because the whole market has been trapped in a downward movement for the last few months.
Just ride it out. NEO will rise again.
4857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It could take 2 years for the market to recover on: March 27, 2018, 12:02:27 PM
I wish I was joking but this market will take at least 2 years to recover and build momentum again.

It helps to take a longer term perspective. The rise in December was quite sudden and dramatic - we could quite easily have another big rise.
I think the market is gathering strength at the moment. It has bounced back twice from around $280 billion whole market cap, so there is some strength there.
4858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH goes from 11 $ to almost 1000 $. What about Waves? on: March 27, 2018, 10:17:59 AM
I really don't understand why have Waves so low price. Last year ETH went from 11 to almost 1000.

Do you think is this possible to Waves?  Wink

Ethereum is much further along in terms of development and adoption. Waves price is lower because it is not the market standard in the way that ERC20 is.
Maybe Waves will grow, it depends on how development and adoption proceeds.
4859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves Believer on: March 27, 2018, 08:51:28 AM
I don't really like Waves very much. It might just be personal bias, but most of the coins I've seen that use Waves seem to be junk. Personally I think there are much better alternatives, especially when everything is at such a massive discount right now.
4860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: my portfolio, your thought please on: March 27, 2018, 08:26:14 AM
I have NEO, NANO, ICON, REQ, NAV out of those. Of the others - some good but I don't hold, and some I don't know a lot about.
I think it looks good, but I would add some BTC, ETH and maybe XRP.
