4861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you have the courage to do this? on: March 18, 2016, 01:14:09 PM
A part of me thinks this was done for publicity and maybe the guy was somehow involved with the casino and was promised that he wouldn't lose.

But I would never go "All In" on roulette, Poker maybe but not with my life savings.

that is exactly what i was thinking too.
i didn't say anything buy i had a feeling that this might even be some sort of advertisement for the casino. because anybody who does this is a brain-dead-addict or fake.

This is possible. I really don't think anyone in the right mind would risk everything in a casino in a single go. You can say it is a YOLO bet but still, losing everything and be a beggar if luck went against you is something that is pure stupidity. IMO. In a sense, if this is an advertisement for the casino, they are a win win. Casino gets exposure and the guy earns a lot of money.
4862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: March 18, 2016, 01:06:38 PM
I don't think any strategy actually works specially with dice and the like... it's generally a negative money profit game.
Yes, if you have collected some extra money and want to give away it then go to these games as with it I don’t think you will earn with your skills and knowledge, just you have to be the slave of that machine.
Yet, many are slaves to slot machines and dice tables. If you really want to earn, do something that uses your brain and skills not just pure luck. Just do gambling for entertainment and not for income. Otherwise, you'll just be addicted and lose everything to gambling.

As of now i dont earn in gambling unlike before now its hard to win in any gambling site. Martingale also not working any more and i think it depends in our luck if we can make a profit or not..

Gambling always depend in the luck and not guaranteed to earn from there anyway, very risky method and even the gambling sites are ready to make the gamblers losers in the most cases. I advice you stay away from gambling.

Funny how people think there is a strategy in those house edge related games like dice and slots.

Every bets are under their fair betting system so no strategy can applied here. Only pure luck.

And no matter how hard you twitch those numbers and how much you timed your bet, you still lose because of house edge. No strategy is really working and I found it out the hard way. I used to try every strategy I found here, but none of them seems to work longterm. I always lose.
4865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling or offline gambling at a casino ? on: March 17, 2016, 05:17:45 AM
Online ofcourse. Offline gambling is more for the older people. I like it to do, but it is not good to do that much.
Otherwise if you lose than you lose a lot of money and that cant be good. So just play a little bit is good enough.

I think offline is much better you also will not lose more than if you play online because the fact is that if you play it offline you have a certain amount in year head you want to spend and you realizing its money.
If you play online I do not have that feeling at all if I'm honest.

I will prefer that to online. First thing you dont really need to carry so much cash so it will be easier for you to make a bet. The second thing online gambling is far more easier deposit and withdrawal thing. All of them are transfer just using wallet so you dont need to get some bag when you are get so much winning Grin

But you do not get the experience to be in a real casino. Sitting alone by yourself and facing your computer monitor does not give that much excitement. Unlike in a real casino, you get to experience it all. The excitement, dealing with other people, choosing a good table and all of that. So I say, If you want to gamble, go to a casino. If you just want to pass time, online gambling will do.
4866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: March 17, 2016, 05:05:10 AM

I don't gamble much of my earnings, i just do it when I'm almost sure I can win, I bet on sports by the way. I do gamble on dice and lottery but don't bet huge amount as I just want to try it.
Gambling site however like fastdice fixed my life though Smiley
Look at my signature, I'm paid for posting and promoting them and it helped me pay my bills somehow.

Somehow you are right. With gambling site paying signature campaigns, I gain a sort of income. This signature campaign helped me a lot financially. So in a way, gambling gave me a better life indirectly. And since I do not gamble always, I do not suffer the negative effects it has.
4867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 17, 2016, 04:07:29 AM
If you are a former gambler then it's better to avoid even trading since it's very similar to gambling in a way mainly for someone who was related to it at sometime, If you are trading with no sufficient indicators and evidence supporting your buying/selling then it's a form of gambling IMO.

But if you know how to read charts, sufficient indicators and do research very well, it is not a gamble anymore. There will always be a risk, but it is calculated risk. It has a higher rate of success. But if you just jump into trading and never do any study or due diligence, you are asking for trouble. Doing that would be like giving away your money.
4868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: March 17, 2016, 04:01:51 AM
You should just believe in yourself and think about the fact how much losses you made and its not good at all.
A second thing is that you need to say it to people that are closely connected to you.

Yes, sharing your gambling problems to others that are concern to you may help. People who would actually care and help you get out of your addiction. Also, you need to help yourself. Recognize that you are already addicted and gambling is not doing you any good. When you do that, you can help yourself forget and avoid gambling. Just recognizing that there is a problem sometimes can do a lot.
4869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: March 17, 2016, 03:55:03 AM
it's not beneficial IMO and is a bad hobby.
If he is not a good player and don’t have knowledge and skills about it then it is really a bad thing. As in this situation we will face only lose and will never get success to win there.

I do not think gambling involve skills. Most of it is out of luck. If you are lucky, you get the right card or a good roll and you win. If  you are unlucky, even all the technique and skills you have won't save you from losing. So it is only good for entertainment, more than that, it will become an addiction and it will destroy you.
4870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: March 16, 2016, 01:50:45 PM
hello everyone.
i want to know what do you think about gambling bitcoin.. Does Beneficial or more losses?
Share your story here guys!  Grin Grin Grin

Gambling is game -- there is no right or wrong. There is win or lose. Benefits of gambling will vary by the person. Some people can lose and still have a good time gambling. Some can win and never be satisfied.

Yeah, don't blame the game. It's just a game, the person playing/gambling should be responsible for his actions. If he become addicted to it, its his fault, not the roullete or the dice or the game. Practice self control and gambling is okay, and a good stress reliever.
4871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: March 16, 2016, 01:42:23 PM
Yes, I know. The average person holds BTC and just waiting for the miracle to happen. But the reason this miracle may happen if more ppl join the world of cryptocurrencies, so demand would be huge and than the price goes up. So dont just wait doing nothing. Talk to ppl, make them buy BTC's, sell them, buy them again... then the price rises.

I tried that, it's either they ignore me or laugh at me. Only very few would be talked into getting into bitcoin. Maybe they will join when its already up above the sky. So for me, i'll just earn and hold my btc until its price rises to the moon.
4872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Traditional Gambling or Online Gambling? What's yours? on: March 15, 2016, 03:20:36 PM
I am old school so I'll go with traditional gambling. I also like online gambling where you can play on solitude anytime anywhere but I like traditional more. Nothing beats the touch of the cards as you slowly unravel its face or the look of your opponent when you unexpectedly beat them. Plus the camaraderie you form after playing so much for so long is priceless.
4873  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: March 15, 2016, 01:26:05 PM
Bitcoin may be a way for some unemployed people to earn some cash till they find a stable, good-paying full time or several part time jobs to get a reasonable salary for their living standards. Bitcoin is just a hobby for my free time that is bringing me dividends.

Well for you and the most bitcoins comes as an extra to add to the real job,but for some people this turned into their work, offering a service related to bitcoin.Nowadays is harder to start any project and be able to compete with the current projects running already.

There are a lot or coders, designers and developers now in services section that it gets really hard to compete. In order to compete and make this a stable or full time job, you must be very damn good at your skills. This is one reason I am still part time in bitcoin and not taking it to the next level.
4874  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 15, 2016, 01:18:36 PM
it depends on your target profit, If you want to earn serious profit then investing it in good operation might be decent but the risk is proportionate to the potential profit, If you want to earn a smaller but less risky profit then a bank might be your fit.
Its like what they say, no guts no glory. Even if there are risk, investing is way better than just saving your money on a bank. The return from investment are lucrative compared to interest earned in the bank. Sometimes you just earned cents from bank interest. Plus money on the bank will be eaten up by inflation rates.

Gambling is not wrong its the people that are doing it wrong, gambling is for the entertainment and not for profit.
In fact I think gambling is good if you can control yourself.

That's true...gambling should always be for entertainment purposes only, and not for profit... you won't enjoy your bets if you are thinking that your bet might go wrong specially if what you've invested in your bank roll is your hard earned money,...

And you should only gamble the money you can afford to lose. It becomes wrong if you do not have enough money to gamble so you lend some in order to fulfill your vice. This is very wrong. If you lose, you will be in debts . This can ruin someone's life.
4877  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: March 12, 2016, 10:37:56 PM
-Somehow earn tons of bitcoins
-Wait for a huge price increase
-Jump on the good price
-Profit!
to become rich therefore you have to collect more much bitcoin. probably more than 50 BTC. if the price rises, surely you can become rich quickly

I think you need more than 50 bitcoin to be really rich. Now a days, inflation rate is very high. So even if its 1000$ a bitcoin, inflation will eat your 50 btc in no time. You'll need something that will continously earn you money or bitcoin without doing anything. This will counter inflation rates. It could be a good investment or business.
4878  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 12, 2016, 10:29:39 PM
1. Investment = you can increase the amount of money you but it can also reduce your money (more risky) need courage.

2. save money = just save your money and your money will still be as in the beginning (no profit) are not at risk.

I think no investment is without risk. all investments have risks of its own and allow the balance or your money be decreases. You must be smart in choosing the investments that have less risk. or where investments have a high profit potential

Of course, due diligence is required before getting into any investments. You don't just pour out your money into anything without analyzing it. You'll get scammed easily if you do that. You have to study the company, its history and its current value. If all is good, you have a greater chance your investment will flourish.
4879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 12, 2016, 03:39:17 PM
I think trading is less like gambling because there is a lot more strategy and potential for knowledge to actually be applied in the stock market, as opposed to gambling which is typically based on random chance.

strategies, knowledge,... are really hard things to archive, and use, especially in trading. many people just jump in trading without them and it's like gambling.

Trading only become a gamble if you do not know what you are doing. But if you have the right knowledge and skills, then it is not a gamble. If you lose, it is not because you are unlucky but because you made a mistake in your analysis. While in gambling, you lose because you are unlucky.
4880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: March 12, 2016, 03:31:31 PM
I believe the best way to stop is to find some kind of hobby you really like and are good in it.
From there you can 100% focus on that while arising counter thoughts when you think of gambling again.

It still depends on your mind setting, but if you are dependent on gambling and you are making profit from it, I think you would sacrifice your hobby and go back to gambling, but the best really is to find new diversions, find new ways to profit...

making profit from gambling doesn't guarantee will keep milking it in the future, better stop when you are at high stage.
sacrifice hobbies to gambling, to money is just a sad story, sad life.

Yes, better stop before you get addicted and gambling ruin your life. I've seen so many life ruined because of gambling. Stacking up debts all over just to have a money to use in gambling. Instead of using the money for food, they use it for gambling hoping they will have more money but in the end they will lose it all.
