4901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 22, 2016, 12:10:53 AM
Personally I want dump now.
I have set a buy order which I am expecting to get filled once XMR breaks 0.002 next time.
If I am not going to get my dump, I can survive with my current holdings as well, but some more coins are always to have (right now I cannot afford to pay these prices for Moneros).

Is that why you're necro-posting on anti-monero threads?

I am working hard to selling the idea of dumping Moneros to my bid(s). Currently one bid but I can put more also.
Looks like so far I have not succeeded to convince others to sell, perhaps it is due to low level of agreesiviness.
Actually the chart is almost copy/paste from 1 year ago.

Maybe it's because your fucktardedness has become transparent to the point that you are virtually ignored?

Occam's razor and all.

I'm sorry to be crass but I find the open trolling to be loathsome.

When are you guys going to drop your fascist bully mascot?

When Monero is beaten down to 0.001? 0.0005?

iCE is a [expletive deleted], but you guys are enablers.

OK. I've dropped him.  Now what should I do? 🤔

How much longer???

About 40%
4904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 13, 2016, 05:55:25 PM
Selling volume is declining, we also saw some wicks indicating that buyers are still present and closely watching. I am speculating that we might see some buying pressure to 0.003-0.0033 to mess up with shorters and then retest and hopefully double bottom. However we must take into the account that daily trend is still bearish and I would treat it as such. Weekly trend is caught in the range between 0.001-0.004.

Good Analysis.
4905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 10, 2016, 08:05:11 PM

I see you here whenever Monero takes a dump, are you a big P&D whale here?

I think this coin is being dumped by the same people who develop it like FluffyPony & Othe after all Othe gets 21800 Monero alone from Fluffypony's gambling site as the biggest winner there. This is what you get when your own developers play the pump & dump like twice a year doubling their BTC stack on pure speculation hype threads like this one.

You're right! And the really amazing part is this time the whale manipulators also went to the trouble of crashing ETH, maid, doge, dash, FTC, bts, sys, rads, etc.

Its a genius move on the part of the manipulators as it makes the crash look so much more like a legitimate correction.

It must be really really expensive to make a little bit of money!
4906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 10, 2016, 05:32:44 AM

I tend to agree with this post mainly.
However as regards of botnet miners, what is exactly the bad thing about it (besides it makes it harder to mine for average Joe who has all the sympathies of us?). If I am not mistaken, botnets actually benefits the coin as the mining is more diversified as opposed to bitcoin that are mined in a large scale at "mining factories" in Iceland or China.

I did mention there are some positive (or neutral) arguments to be made for botnet's involvement in monero mining.

Is outside the scope of this thread somewhat, and my opinion is just that... My opinion.

I see botnets as a net negative for monero for multiple reasons. But the most compelling to me is the ethical angle.  Botnets herders are committing privacy violation, theft, and exploitation.  I am a "your liberty to swing your fist end at my nose" type of libertarian.  Botnet herders are unethical in my opinion.
4907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 10, 2016, 04:33:46 AM
My version of a reality check:

TA on Monero:
Yes. It has meaning, but Monero is thinly traded on a single exchange primarily, and it has a fairly small liquid available float and it is tightly held by zealots while some traders duke it out with what's left over to shoot back and forth at each other.

Monero is an alt coin:
Alts are just simply negative EV propositions. Period.  Take a look at historical charts for all alt coins. The all look like triple black diamond ski slopes.  There are obvious reasons for this.  Most alts are scams. All alts are competing with papa bitcoin for value.

Alts are all suffering badly right now.
Look at polo. Its a effing bloodbath.

Moneros dirty little secret is botnet miners.
There are some good arguments to be made for botnets.  But there are some unfortunate realities too.  One is it is highly profitable for bot shepherds to mine mine mine dump rinse and repeat.  Some may like making videos of the dumps with music soundtracks and digs at rich Finns.

All the talk about manipulation etc... Meh.  Sure there is some, but the conspiracy theories floating around sound pretty silly to me.

Monero goes up. Monero goes down.  Without a fairly lucky black swan type event 'down' is gonna dominate.

I personally think it's worth the risk.  I think it is one of the only cryptocurrencies which has a good shot.

cAPS out...
4908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 09, 2016, 05:00:16 AM
Wow. I log in and all my 285 bids are totally filled.  Didn't expect that. Kinda considering selling them all right here. Lock in a simple profit...
4909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: April 05, 2016, 02:27:34 AM
People who make the first letter of their nick lowercase and capitalize the rest:
dEBRUYNE
iCEBREAKER

Am I missing anybody?

cAPSLOCK

You guys really get bored when XMR is only up 3%.   Cheesy

don't forget cARTMAN

Ohyea, how could I forget cAPSLOCK, the person whose name literally evokes in my imagination a scene of someone registering their nick and accidentally hitting the capslock key?

A nick I've had since a time when IRCii was the only game in town.

This reminds me.  I owe dEBRUYNE a long overdue hall of fame update.  Dang my new job is killing my time...
4910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 04, 2016, 11:41:21 PM
Did anyone see the 10.000 coins dump ?

All in hands of 12-13 users now instead of just 1 morron

Didn't see it.  Was it on Polo?

could have been a short margin trade

or long closing...

Or Crowdwhale thinking he would buy back at 335.

You could be right, he did make a statement about it needing to revisit that area before the next leg up.  If we hear complaints and whining about the price going up due to bad market making we will know.

What the hell is wrong with you? Do you need to be an insufferable ass? Just shut your hole already.

You are very thin skinned. And somewhat hypocritical.  Your tone here has been belligerent. And when someone pokes you you react harshly.  I enjoy your speculation though.
4911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] DarkFlarb Speculation on: April 01, 2016, 04:55:43 PM
Please can any whale dump us below 300k and send CrowdWhale crying back to forex

I bet he is using reverse psychology: He has open short position. He plays to be annoying guy and sets threaths. If he gets people annoyed enough and dump he can run out from here a stash of cash from the hands of the community.

How would you ever come up with such a devious idea?
4912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 25, 2016, 05:20:55 PM
Probably going to see some consolidation here, price right now is between fibs from last years pump and the original polo pump. I expect a lot of liquidity here.

Like over 3500 BTC daily volume on Polo? Too late.

that was to get us up to the liquidity pool, not past it.

Sorry, but I just cannot take TA very seriously on a market the size of XMR. I suppose if enough participants are chartists it might work a bit by herd movement.

This isn't pure T/A per say.  There are a lot of old time XMR bagholders who are going to be selling in this range.

Some of us will stay around too. Wink

Indeed this is when coins change hands.  The future is interesting.
4914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 11, 2016, 04:40:59 PM
For the love of God can some exchange please let me buy XMR with US Dollars.  I mean really, I hate Bitcoin transaction speeds.  Over an hour now to transfer BTC from Coinbase to HitBTC.   Another reason Bitcoin is falling behind not enough nodes out there to process payments or transactions faster.   Ok rant over.
. FWIW be careful with hitbtc.  I have had coins locked up over there for days before.
4915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: March 05, 2016, 09:44:49 PM
Well it would be nice if the team or somebody else can develop an user friendly 1 click wallet right? Would also gain more people and attention...

There is also a simple web wallet I see, is it safe option as well?

It's from fluffypony, who is a core-team member, thus considered safe as in trustworthy. However, one should always be cautious with using webwallets.

More specifically there have been successful thefts. Fluffypony explicitly recommends not storing too large an amount there, and instead using it for convenient access to smaller amounts.

Is there a thread or such detailing that?
4916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 05, 2016, 02:43:08 AM
Believe me: I understand full well what a whack calculation I'm about to make. None the less it has long been empirically true that dividing the sum of the Polo bid by the sum of the Polo ask has resulted in a number approximately equal to 1/2 of the market clearing price of XMR in Bitcoin.  If that gruesome and absurd rule of thumb where to continue to hold under the present circumstances the price would tend to ca. ~500k.  And yes, I am embarrassed to have said it.

I hope you are right. But I see the resistance between 420 and 480 to be pretty nasty.
4917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 03, 2016, 07:27:09 PM
I probably shouldn't have mentioned XMR at the alternative investments meetup.

Are you feeling bullish or bearish?

I LOLed
