I wouldn't say it is a bad idea. If someone who bought bitcoins at higher price, say at around $7000-$8000, ends up selling now, they will be suffering from huge losses. Instead, it is better to keep on holding. You have already lost a lot, whats the use or the benefit of selling it in the end? You might just save yourself from further loss, but the damage has already been done. If you keep on holding, you still have a chance of at least making something back. Remember, the value just dropped, the amount of coins you are holding is still the same.

This is the actual problem where people think that the price of bitcoin is assigned by their "believe"/"trust". Everyone "believes" on bitcoin and other crypto currencies. They "believe" that the price will increase. But what are they doing to help the value of crypto currencies to increase other than just investing and sitting on the corner? Just believing won't help us in anyway. We should come forward and help to develop the full potential of crypto currencies as much as possible. |

With the current situation of the market, there is no way the past will be repeating again. Notice closely, the price of ripple started to rise when bitcoin also started to skyrocket. Someone ask me, why is the crypto price continue to dip?
My answer is simple, most crypto enthusiasts are low income earners. They all need money during this period to do shopping and buy stuffs
So, the preaching of hodl does not have impact on them. They need cash at this period. So dip must continue until February...
Those that have the strength and confidence to buy more at this point too are middle income earner, they don't have enough to pump the price.
Meanwhile those that have enough to pump the price are still watching on when to buy, they have the money and they are willing to buy at the lowest price...
So, crypto will continue to dip at least till after New Year celebration.
So, don't panic, the price will continue to dip...

Lol, most crypto currencies enthusiast are low income earners? Have you ever had a look at a whales wallet? Moreover, if they are low income earners, their investment on crypto currencies will also be low. Thus, their trade volume won't actually be affecting the price of the crypto currencies at all. Selling their small amount of coins won't be dumping the price of the whole market. The price dip reason is something more than what you think. |

There is actually nothing much you can do to be honest. Once the transaction is made and confirmed, there is no way to reverse it. It is also basically pointless tracing your coins, as eventually the hacker will use mixers to hide themselves. All you can do is learn a lesson from it and be careful so that you do not get hacked again.

It is going to be a real challenge to put tax on crypto currencies. Crypto currencies are decentralized. The government does not have full control over this economy. So if the government wants to put on proper tax on crypto currencies, they have have to regulate it heavily. The more regulations they put on, the more centralized it will end up becoming. Then eventually there will be no difference between those digital currencies and crypto currencies. If the government wants to full emphasize on taxing crypto currencies, they will have to find some other way that would be reasonable for all. |

Bitcoin pumps when there is a high demand for it, forget about whales bla bla bla. Come to think of it, if whales pump bitcoin and non whales refuse to buy it, what happens? The number of people that exited crypto currency this year is when it was at the peak. Many, I repeat many left crypto this year and might not come back. What gives crypto curency demands  HYIP platforms, ponzi platforms, Matrix platforms, etc. All these have faded and ended. Same time 2016 btc was on the go despite the xmas cash out because there was high demand based on the above listed platforms functioning well. Btc dipped last December and failed to rises because all those platforms are dead including staking coins like bitconnect. Now the answer is what is the demand of bitcoin, forget about proposed demands, forget about block chain this and that adopted by countries and banks. Crypto will achieve its vision only when it is regulated, not having over 2000 shit coins to USD, over 200,000 shit ICO which 60% will end up scamming people Who told you that crypto currencies demands are created from HYIP, Ponzi and Matrix schemes? This is totally stupid. People are aware of those scams and avoids them at all cost. There was no way those schemes created demand for bitcoin. You do realized that this is a free decentralized market. Since it is decentralized, there no way to stop those scam coins from popping up. It is up to the people to ignore them completely. Strict regulations will just create more damage than benefits. |

Hi, i am wondering if i should buy a little bit of top 20 coins at current prices, 8th dec 2018, or wait until the market gets lower. What do you guys do?
I have bought the current dip, or at least... when market cap was still around 120 billion usd. Following my policy to buy after huge drops only, i planned to buy the next dip if market cap is around 60 billion usd. But should i not buy the current dip twice? Because what if the bakkt launching next month is succesful? What if it gets followed up by the ETF getting approval in the february sec-decision? What if it all comes paired with new developments that occur? Is this a realistic scenario for short-term?
What would you do, if you were following my plan/policy? I don't buy with large amounts so i can take some losses, what do you think is best?
It is totally up to you. You don't want to be following advice from random strangers, do you? I would say, if you can invest, then invest. You don't want to be regretting later when the price starts to go up. If you think you have already invested enough during the dip, then just hold and wait. Don't sweat yourself and keep on thinking if you should invest or not. If you reached your limit, then stop. |

If you think the price will drop more, then sell your coins. Why keep holding and torture yourself everyday? You knew the risk and now if you can't handle the risk, the best thing would be to quit. But, if you believe that the price will recover back, then keep holding and invest as much as you can. |

I am agree with you and it is unfortunate , it is sad to confess it but lets face with the truth , But i think it is still the best way to make money out of cryptocurrency rather than trading or mining in this bearish market , What are your suggestions then ? do you know any better way to make money out of cryptocurrency?
You really think this is the best way? You do know that there are other ways to earn crypto currencies other than joining bounty programs, right? You won't be calling this the best way when you after spending months on a project end up getting just few dollars. True. You shouldn't be taking recommendations from people and start blindly investing on those coins. You will always be getting biased answers from them since they will want to increase the trade volume of that coin even if its a shit/scam coin. It has been a dream for more number of investors and people that by investing in Bitcoin can make them millionaire and it is true. Few of the people have became millionaire few years ago by investing in BTC. Hence more people are dreaming on bitcoin prices went down and lot of people started using btc as payment wallet and most countries are approving it. Bitcoin is a dream because it can create millionaires and it is the future of the digital money.
And this is the problem why bitcoin or other crypto currencies cannot develop completely. People here are more interested in the money. They think bitcoin is the gateway to get rich real quick overnight. Hence, they are just after the value, instead of helping in development of the currency. There are thousands of coins out there. But most of them are just some shit/scam coins that will eventually die soon. Those coins are there for just pumping and dumping, done by the developers to make some quick profit and exit the market. Those kinds of coins will keep popping up until everyone realizes their intention and stops investing on those coins. But that does not mean that only one coin will be prevailing in the future. There might be few other coins that will survive and will be used side by side in harmony.

crypto virus? i never heard of it before , afaik there is no viruses that attacks our wallet or crypto account . besides , every pc or laptop owner do always have antiviruses installed on thier devices so its almost impossible that a virus can penetrate .
phishers and hackers are the real problem when dealing with our cryptos because they are many reports about them that users lost hundreds and thousands of coins every single day which is verry alarming .
Then you are probably ignorant about it and should gain more knowledge about securing your wallet or else you will end up losing every coins you have. There are viruses that can steal all your coins from your computer. This is one of the reasons people tend to use hardware wallets instead of desktop wallet, to keep their coins secure from getting hacked. Not really. The stable market actually is more riskier to invest on. The more volatile the price is, the higher profit you can be making. The more the price fluctuates, the better the chance of predicting the market accurately. During price stability, there are chances that the price may go down any moment without any notice (the same which is happening right now). It is also true for the opposite. After a certain stage of stability, people starts to be in doubt and eventually backs out from his investment due to fear of losing everything. |

It is never a good time to go all in on any investment at any given time.
If you have some cash that is big enough to divide into couple pieces the smartest move would be investing only a part of it right now and watch what happens.
If a person invested all of his investments at 20 thousand dollars he would be so much in trouble right now however if he invested a bit at 20 and a bit at 10 and a bit at 6 he would have had some middle ground there and if that person kept investing at 6 and even continued to this day at 4 right now he would move so much further away from 20 thousand dollar times.
Hence, even if it looks like it is 4 thousand dollars and everything is going great, do not put all your money there all at the same time. Just invest a bit more and wait around, I think January is looking great.

Do you have any kind of skills that you can sell? If you have, you can earn from here. Just go to the service board, post your skills and look for someone who is willing to hire you. Eventually you will get someone who will be willing to pay you in bitcoin. Or you can find other freelancing sites that can help you find work and will pay you in crypto currencies. Just keep looking and while you do that try to increase your portfolio.

Well, think of it on the other way. This bear market has open opportunity for new investors to enter the market. Right now consider it as a discount on crypto currencies. This creates a cycle. The fall of the market makes old investors leave their investments, but again new investors starts to join in who only wants profit. This is the nature of the market.
