there are many strategies you can use, for example, you bought when the price was $18000, so you should not sell your coins. the price then drops to $14000, you return to buying more coins, when the price drops to  $8000 you return to buying more coins, when the price drops to  $4000 you return to buying more coins. keep holding and buying more coins whenever the price drops that when one day the price is $20,000 you will have a lot of profit.

Who is trying to survive in such a market?

It depends on each person, if someone has a long term goal then these price falls are not a big problem for the person and if someone is a good day trade then these price falls are not a big problem for the person. everything depends on the strategy that is used

We are all striving to survive on this current market condition.You arent the only one who do have such worries but all of those people who are attached into this crypto market.
Each of us do really have different mindset and goals where actions will depend on how you do plan. If you do mean on losing money on trading then its unavoidable so
you do need to observe on what would be the next step for you to reduce such loss. Hold and accumulate cheap coins as of now is the wisest thing to be done.

Why not transfer your holding to trading platform like binance and convert them to usdt? Because I suspect the market will still be going down and $3000 maybe the support level that reversal may occur.  Holding till the market get to the bottom may create tension but if you convert to usdt and when bitcoin get downed very well you can now flip to bitcoin and get more quatity of bitcoin.
I just do the same thing some weeks back and when bitcoin get to $3770 yesterday I flipped to bitcoin and now I have about double of what I hold before in bitcoin.  And when bitcoin recover back to $6500 I should be in good profits.

In markets there is a saying; some times doing nothing is the best option. In other words, find yourself something else to focus on. Try utilize your time in the best possible manner, because sitting here being frustrated about the price is an utter waste of time, because you'll be doing the same thing for months straight. The price won't miraculously rocket up to $10,000 any time soon.

Perhaps it will make OP feel better if he reads himself into Bitcoin. If you have a better understanding of the protocol, it could offer some mental rest, wich is something more people can use right now.

If you have a lot of time to wait, then wait and try to increase the number of Bitcoins you have from cheap price. Because in the current situation it is not known where the last stop will be. It is true that you should finds a new strategy and technique that can help you to overcome your losses. There are a lot of opportunities here in the cryptocurrency world for you to easily overcome your losses.

I think that watching prices is not a waste of time if the OP has money to invest. I believe that now crypto currencies have fallen deep enough and the local bottom may be somewhere here.

The basic rule of trading is "buy low, sell high". This means that the OP should sold his coins a month ago. He would have saved his wealth and he currently would have been waiting for the next attractive moment to open a new trading position.

Depends on your mindset. If you see crypto investments as long term investments (10+ years) such price movements dont really matter. Take a look at where BTC was about 5 years ago and where it is now.

Just wait. Do not panic, do not sell anything. Look at the dynamics of Bitcoin for all the time. You will see that such price drops have already been 3 times, always in the end, the price has conquered new heights

If you use it for the long term it's better to hold it, because I'm sure the price will recover sooner or later so it's better to hold it back. But if you use it for the near term, you have suffered a loss because the price is in a bad condition. My advice would be better to hold it back and buy more, which is more profitable in my opinion. One of the main rules of trading, especially in crypto, is to trade with ammount that you can afford to lose. If your account is bigger than you can lose without pain, you anyway will have problems.
If you have cryptoassets without leverage, I think you can hold them, there is high probability that in long term they will rise again.
Now there is good opportunity to spend your time by reading and learning new things (blockchain, trading or anything else).
And try not to refresh quotes every 5 minutes

Holding is not the only option but it is best when compared to others,you will be in loss only when you sell them for fiat or else the crytos will never decrease so lets wait until the prices get reaches to some profitable value then you can sell it profits.

PS:never invest anymore in cryptos when you don't believe that cryptos will become payment system in future.

The correct thing would of been to take profit sometime in the past, now its too late for that.

You might as well wait a few more days and we might see $5000 again and just get out then. If $3450 was the actual low, then it will hurt to have sold so close to the bottom but its better getting some of your money back than having it lose more value.

There are several options actually, although I would admit that HODLing is the easiest and most convenient. After all, there will always be a time for price recovery. That is for sure. But if you want to acquire back your loss more quickly, and if you still have more money to invest, you could actually buy right now while the prices are much cheaper. This would at least make up for your losses when you bought the same coins at a more expensive price.

Most of all, do not sell for now.
