4901  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] Do you have signatures enabled? on: February 28, 2017, 05:41:15 PM
I have my signatures enabled because after months spent here I started to ignore them. When I scroll through a topic, my eyes skip the sigs, I don't even notice who has what written in there, I focus on the plain black text of the post. I don't know why some people hate sigs so much, they are mostly a positive addition to the forum.
4902  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: February 28, 2017, 11:11:45 AM
I found living outside the big city to be very different and relaxing. The technology helps us every day and i have a lot of it at home, including a PC with internet, a phone and many other, but cities have become too industrialized. I'll show you my typical days and compare:
City:
I could hear cars and trucks all night even with closed windows.
Air smells of fumes, so I had to dry clothes inside.
You could hear your neighbors through the walls, if one of them was having a party it was impossible to sleep.
Going anywhere meant an hour in traffic.
Easy to get sick in public transport as people would breath and sneeze all around you.

Country:
All you can hear is birds and wind. No cars, no people.
Air is clean and dried clothes smell great.
If you want to have a party you can do it anytime, nobody's gonna care if you decide to work out at 2 a.m.
No traffic, unless you want to get downtown  Undecided
I haven't had even the slightest cold since I moved out of the city. No allergies too.
4903  Other / Off-topic / Re: Poll: Which religion is the best religion? on: February 28, 2017, 10:59:37 AM
Why do you have Chinese traditional religion but you don't have a Japanese Shinto? It's a very nice religion full of myths, stories that focuses on spirituality.
It also doesn't force you to do anything, like Christianity and Islam do. You don't have to go to church every sunday or pray facing Mekka Cheesy
But really no religion is best, an educated person doesn't need to rely on gods to help him live his life.
4904  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Trump survive the first period as president of the US? on: February 28, 2017, 10:55:21 AM
If he stands up to his words and does everything he promised in the elections, he will surely be reelected. Such politicians are hard to find these days. Usually it's all the same with them. Tell a lot of false promises, get to the chair, sit on it for a couple years, shake a few hands, sign a few documents, take your wage and go. If Trump turns out to be different (and I believe so) he will have even more supporters.
4905  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Efficient way to eradicate corruption on: February 28, 2017, 10:49:25 AM
I agree with death penalty just like the old times like firing squad, hanging to death etc, but I think in our county this kind of punishment will not likely to happen because there is no existing laws that include government officials with this kind of punishment, too bad.
It is really easy to call upon a firing squad and death penalty for corruption .Why you want to think about extreme measures rather than steps to isolate that individual from the political or government jobs rather than killing them and you can very well confiscate their wealth and if government starts implementing this then we will be able to reduce corruption .
Nobody would ever condone murder as a penalty for corruption in a modern society. Isolation would be a great idea. Such penalties are already used but they are very limited and rarely imposed on politicians.
Such rule applies to teachers, if one is convicted for a major crime he is immediately banned from working in education. Doctors and judges are facing similar penalties if they are found asking for bribes, but these cases are difficult to prove in court unless you have him on camera.
It's funny that one of the most corrupt groups, the politicians, are seldom convicted.
4906  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin mining currently too energy inefficient for the future? on: February 26, 2017, 10:29:58 AM
population reduction is far more important then energy spent mining coins.

Not to change the subject, too much.  I recently heard an analysis on population growth based on UN population figures for the year 2150, which are that there will be 9.1 Billion people on the earth.  The thing of that is that 7 Billion of them will be 65 years old and older.  So if that comes to fruition we could have 7 Billion people dying of old age in a 30 to 40 year time span.  At which point we would be far too underpopulated.  Not to mention the burden on the young to support us elderly while we die of old age, hopefully that will still be an option for us in the future, fingers crossed.
Also with the current climate changes lands around to the equator will become barren wastelands and Africa,, which is already struggling with water shortages will become a desert unable to support life.
I wouldn't worry about overpopulation. People have been preaching doom for years and countries like Russia are offering free land to anyone who would populate their Siberian regions. Still no volunteers.
4907  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in time travel? and if so where would you go and why? on: February 26, 2017, 10:13:25 AM
one thing that always call my attention, what would happen if you visit yourself when you were younger and talk to him? and also can you create parallel worlds so you don't alter the future while visiting the past?
There's a number of theories in physics. One says that there is one timeline and every change you make in that timeline will impact the future, which means that if you go back to the past and kill your parents you will disappear. The other one says that there are many timelines and you can end up in any of them. This means that if you go back to the past, you may end up in another world, where your parents don't know each other.
This second theory seems to be more probable.
4908  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: February 24, 2017, 01:07:22 PM
Long term impact Liver Damage and sometimes bloating and impotence

Don't worry about that. The medical science has made it possible to fight these diseases. Fatalities from liver cirrhosis has decreased and the survival rate has increased. And Viagra has made impotence a thing of the past.
But it's all expensive, imagine having to take viagra in your 40s, nobody would like that. It's better not to overestimate your body and live a healthy life. Alcohol is great in moderation, but getting drunk has a lot of negative sides. It damages brain cells, weakens your body, strains the liver, that's why athletes are told to never get drunk, because it really pushes you back. I read somewhere that for a bodybuilder getting drunk to the point of passing out means nullifying 2 weeks of training.
4909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: February 24, 2017, 01:01:44 PM
If I win a large sum of money from gambling on accident or something then I would just invest it in something that will appreciate in value over time.
That's a good choice. It's always very difficult to resist the temptation to bet everything once again and potentially double it, because maybe you're in a lucky streak, maybe it's your day.
You get a large amount of money, that opens a vision of you as a millionaire, sunbathing on a yacht, and it all seems to be within your grasp. Don't get caught in it, withdraw and don't be greedy.
4910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about bonuses on btc casino ? on: February 24, 2017, 12:58:26 PM
I don't really care for btc bonuses in casinos...

I like free spins and those things that's for sure
But deposit bonuses for example are pure shit, you never get your amount as you've to gamble like 35 times the amount on slots before ><
deposit bonus terms always sucks , always make us as player in disadvantage .
it looks fair when we provided a double capital amount but the wagering requirement make everything complicated.
i don't like a bonuses like that too , prefer to looking for a temporary promotion usually it gives a good terms , a really fair terms.
True, the bonuses are made only to lure people. They act like an additional positive fact that you see when choosing the casino.
-that one has great games and this one has great games, that one is reputable and this one is too, that one doesn't offer deposit bonuses though, then I know which one to choose!
That's how it works in our mind, even though the bonuses are very hard to withdraw, we tend to choose casinos that offer them.
4911  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Minig Vs Hardware Mining Which is best ? on: February 24, 2017, 12:53:37 PM
That is right. You have to choose a reputable cloud mining company.

There is this funny thing about the whole cloud mining business that it is governed by its own laws. In a normal world when a company is promising profits, but isn't delivering any, just making you donate to the cause they are quickly given an appropriate tag and go bankrupt. Here, people see it as a positive feature, because most companies are fake sites made by thieves, that disappear and appear under a new name couple weeks later. Why are you so drawn to this system?

13.WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF DEPOSIT?

The minimum investment amount is only 0.2 bitcoin for basic package and the maximum amount is $500,000 for VIP.

14.CAN I MAKE ADDITIONAL INVESTMENTS AT ANY TIME?

Yes, there is no limitation. You can make as many deposits as you want.

One thing that hits me is the minimum is 0.2BTC, at the moment it's 230USD, which isn't some pocket money. They don't allow small fish to play and take only serious deposits, but what amazes me is the maximum amount. They are offering such enormous returns and can receive sums like $500k, without breaking a sweat, because right below that they are saying there's no limit and you can make many deposits, so if you send them 3x $500k they claim to be ok with it. To be able to operate on such sums they'd need enormous liquidity, like a large bank at least. IMO they are just greedy and waiting for a big fish to invest and once they gather up a couple of those VIP investors, they will shut it down and fly back to Nigeria.
4913  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The best cloud mining site !!! on: February 24, 2017, 11:48:13 AM
The creators of cloud mining websites know that mining is a very difficult thing these days, they also know that many individuals are eager to mine but do not want to take the trouble of setting up the mining rig themselves. So they create these services, which then become a big disappointment for most investors.

Unless you live in a country like China, I think the only safe form of mining is solar mining, but there are some problems, especially in the early stages, such as initial investing and technical issues.

I'd say the creators did the math and knew this will end up being unprofitable to investors, but they did it anyway. They did what every car seller does, showed their shit on display and hoped it will lure someone with a thick wallet and little knowledge, who won't see it for what it really is: a junk, a waste of money.
4914  Other / Meta / Re: Signature Spam Alternative? on: February 24, 2017, 11:42:36 AM
Yeah that's just what is the downside of this amazing forum, there are a hell lot of signature shits. Most of the time the signatures take more space than actual content, mostly because of the signature campaigns  Grin
Exactly, users should be allowed to promote only their websites etc and not a horde of affiliate links...
I agree with this. Making signatures smaller ( the size full members are allowed to have) for all ranks would make the forum look less like a casino. I understand bright colours below every post can be annoying to some people. Current signatures take a lot of space and limit the number of posts you can fit on screen without scrolling.
4915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and betting?? on: February 21, 2017, 01:31:53 PM
If you mean sports betting vs gambling IMO betting is better, because you can predict future performance of a player/ team based on their past performance. This means you have something to hold onto and although the past doesn't necessarily has impact on the future it's better than nothing. In typical casino games you don't have any information and every game is completely different.
4916  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are terrorists only muslim in religion? on: February 21, 2017, 01:24:21 PM
Lol, where is it over simplification to say that the West attacked and is currently attacking Middle East countries, killing far more civilians than terrorists, without any justification but the desire to gather more natural resources?

I'd like to know how "justified" were the invasions of Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria!

How does the US invasions in the MIddle East justify terrorists attacking Europe? Why don't they go to the US with their jihad, we don't want these scum in the EU!
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe because we're the direct neighbours and that we nearly all accepted to follow the US in their invasion? It's like if you're walking in a street and 3 people appear, the biggest arrives and punch you in the face and then the two others follow with more punches and stay close to you.
Wouldn't you hit the two as much as you can as the big one is out of reach?
Quote
Also I find a full scale military invasion more fair than terrorist attacks aimed at civilians, performed as a show of force. There's a difference between collateral damage and murder.
AHAHAHAHAH
Of course you do! You're the one with more power! It's normal you prefer the method in which you're the best: direct conflict!

And... What is the difference between bombing a city full of civilians knowing they're here and bombing a metro station full of civilians knowing they're here?
So you're saying it's better to kill 150k civilians in "collateral damages" than to kill maybe 10k in terrorist attacks?
And... Why?

Why are you referring to them as "we and you" Are you supporting muslim terrorists?
The difference is that when they bomb an area, they are aiming at armed forces. If civilians get hurt it's collateral damage. When a muslim terrorist plans his attack he wants to kill as many civilians as possible, they don't attack military bases, they prefer to kill the innocent. Also, Europe isn't currently at war with anyone, so how do you justify these acts of terror?
4917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to the Bitcoin Network if a World war Starts? on: February 20, 2017, 10:24:51 AM
First of all think of all things that may result when a world war happens between china and any other big countries that has an issue with each other right now.First if it happens for sure electricity for big countries is will be out and if that country has the most number of bitcoin users of there is a bitcoin network there obviously bitcoin will came into an outbreak.Admins o network will not be able to acces system without internet and electricity which will be surely out if world war begins
You obviously have never seen war movies. Have you seen London bombings during WWII? They had electricity back then, now it's much easier to run generators than it used to be 80 years ago.
A war would not mean the lack of power, Internet or any other, unless you'd get nuked, but then you wouldn't have to worry about those things anymore Wink
4918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Supertition on: February 20, 2017, 10:19:47 AM
I don't believe in superstition, but it serves a purpose. Superstitious people fall into these daily rituals they perform and feel better when they are allowed to.
For instance some people like to pray before gambling, to me it's like a superstition, because they believe that saying a prayer will somehow help with their luck.

4920  Other / Meta / Re: Donate Page Is Not Updated on: February 20, 2017, 10:03:34 AM
Theymos knows that many scammers would use the vip tag to scam.
That's a dumb reasoning. The same kind that prevention lovers always give. A gun can be used to kill - don't allow people to own guns.
1. A VIP tag doesn't make you trusted.
2. The tag exists and it was made to be purchasable, so whatever a user does with it is his own responsibility.
3. I think an affordable VIP tag would benefit the forum. Hopefully it gets implemented in the new software.
