4901  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Scam Emails like this on: May 17, 2020, 07:44:53 PM
I get such messages even to email which have zero connections with crypto - I've never used it to signup on crypto related websites.
Best thing what you can do - just don't click on links that you got in email, even if it looks 100% legit.
Another thing - make few email addresses. First - main which is used to for most important websites like PayPal or your bank account and other stuff. Don't use it for crypto related websites.
Another - for main crypto related websites - trading platforms, Bitcointalk and etc.
And the last one - for less important signups which may send you spam - bounties, airdrops, giveaways, faucets, less reputed exchanges and etc.
These steps will prevent your main inbox from being compromissed  and getting lot of spam and scam messages.
4902  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Party - Discord server on: May 17, 2020, 07:26:16 PM
I joined this server with my Bitcointalk username. I've never used Discord before, so I'll have to check how everything works there. It's good to have place for some less serious talks Smiley
But even if it's not official Bitcointalk server, I'm also a bit concerned about people with bad intentions who may try to impersonate well known Bitcointalk members...
4903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 17, 2020, 04:51:22 PM
@logfiles you need to watch the highlights of the Dortmund game asap because not only did you miss the game, but you also missed the new way of celebrations from the players i.e. shoulder touches, celebrating at least 2 meters away from each other etc.
Well, not everyone if following these guidelines. Hertha player Boyata even kissed his teammate cheek after goal scored:
https://www.goal.com/en/news/bundesliga-players-wont-be-punished-for-not-social/y6ufjek7206w1avqoi28h4oub
IMO, such restrictions isn't needed. I don't think that something bad can happen if they will celebrate goals as usual or shake hands before and after game. There is no social distancing during the game, players touch each other multiple times, so, goal celebration wouldn't be something different.
4904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: May 17, 2020, 04:40:50 PM
Messi: ''I've been lucky enough to play in the Champions League every season and I know you can't win it playing like we were playing."
The players of Barcelona don't seem to accept the ideas of their new coach and don't trust him.

Strange but the article I read had a very different spin to it. Remember we are reading translated versions so I would not really trust any of these sources. The one I understood was: Messi didn't think Barca could win champions league if they keep playing it the way they have been playing. So they need to change and change fast (I thought he was referring to even the way of last season).
I wouldn't blindly trust what is written in this article, especially because it comes from Marca - they are biased to write negative things about Barca. For me it doesn't looks that Messi is referring to manager in this words, it's more about how they were playing in general this season.
4905  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Unofficial] Coinpot.co - new microwallet on: May 17, 2020, 04:33:09 PM
The lest time coinpot was down on February for a week.
For a week? Are you sure about that? I can't remember Coinpot being out for a week. It's just one or two days usually.
yes but beware, ban time is maybe coming after...
About what ban time you're talking about?
4906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion & Betting] Eurovision Song Contest 2020 - CANCELLED on: May 16, 2020, 05:40:41 PM
If somebody are interested, there is special event of Eurovision tongight after a bit more than hour - Europe Shine a Light where all this yerar participants will sing their songs. So, after watching Bundesliga, you may try to watch it. Live stream will be available on Youtube too:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAo_LxJzALw
And after all, it seems that cancelling this year Eurovision was right decision. Probably such big events where people comefrom all corners of Europe won't be possible this year.

it's amazing that people spreading fake news and disinformation receive merits from a merit source... this forum section looks like a madhouse. Nowadays every kind of shit is equated with scientific knowledge and we will see the results in the short term.

let's draw then and I hope people can get it:

I'm not saying that masks is completely useless, but numbers in this image looks so random. I haven't heard about any scientific research which would prove that these numbers is right. There is many factors which may change these numbers into one or other side.
I think that in crowded places like shops or public transport, but I think it's not needed in the streets at all.
And, WHO still don't recommend to wear it for helthy people, here is quote from their website:

If you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you are taking care of a person with COVID-19.
Wear a mask if you are coughing or sneezing
4908  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ad Networks that pay out in Bitcoin? on: May 14, 2020, 10:50:08 PM
I know what's the problem. I clicked the link too when you posted it last month. And like the poster above you, the post was empty to me (and still today). That day I wasted 20 minutes trying to figure out why
The reason is our adblocker (uBlock Origin in my case) removing/blocking the content in this post.

Here is how it look like to me

https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/mqpvH.png

Not sure why exactly the content is blocked but I supposed a formating error code but notice the button 'quote' and 'merit' are removed in the screenshot.

@unouresha
Disable your ad blocker so Smiley
Strange, I've never saw such thing that adblock would hide content of post. And it's strange why it was blocked, because this post isn't special - just some links with short description...
4909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 14, 2020, 10:33:11 PM
So Ferrari decided that Leclerc is the No.1 driver in the team.
I think that all fans now wait to see where Vettel is going to end up now that he is kicked from Ferrari.

He deserves it after being at the same level if not better than Vettel in his first season at Ferrari.I was expecting Vettel at Mclaren but Riccardo nevertheless is also a good driver.I don’t think he has that extra mile needed to bring Mclaren back to the title even if they make a really good car for the 2021 season but let’s see.

Well, ok. But Vettel has won so many championships, thus you cannot throw him away in such a way.
I don't think that Vettel is going to return to Red Bull as they have Max and he is pretty good. Maybe he is going to sign for Alfa Romeo and drive along with Raikkonen - it will be pretty fun to see them together.
He won't return to Red Bull - he is just too expensive for them. He also declined to join Mclaren - he want to race for championship contender. So, Renault or Alfa Romeo shouldn't be even considered. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.republicworld.com/amp/sports-news/other-sports/sebastian-vettel-consider-mercedes-not-mclaren-as-final-option-f1-news.html
Hamilton and Bottas contracts expire in 2021, it's likely that Totto Wolf may left team too. So, there may be big changes in Mercedes and it's likely that Seb will join them.
Also, I would call Sainz as obvious second driver. Leclerc also had to be 2nd initially, but we see how it ended.
4910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 14, 2020, 10:18:22 PM
I'm not really sure what's wrong with EPL players and clubs. First they didn't accepted cut of payments, now some are complaining that they will have to play during pandemy, bottom table teams complaining about playing on neutral grounds. Why there is no such problrms in other major leagues?
4911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 14, 2020, 09:38:03 AM
https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.mclaren-swoop-for-daniel-ricciardo-as-carlos-sainz-replacement-for-2021.6CgsQLN5ZasbdFg4qCjbZo.html
Daniel Ricciardo signed multiple year deal with Mclaren and will replace Carlos Sainz from 2021
Though it was announced officially yet, now there is no doubts that Sainz will move to Ferrari.
I'm happy for Ricciardo, Mclaren is much better option than Renault.
Now there is another big question left open - where Vettel will go?
4912  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: freebitco.in scam? on: May 13, 2020, 11:05:03 PM
Yeah, Freebitco.in would scam you for 100k Satoshi to cover Lambo lottery expenses :/
Before accusing them you should give some more details about your problem. Login to your Freebitco.in account click "Stats", then "Personal stats" and you will see list of your withdrawals. Do you see withdrawal to StakeCube address there? If yes, click on that transaction. If coins were delivered, then problem is on StakeCube side.
Then you should contact StakeCube support. I've never heard about this website, so I don't know they are legit or no. If they're legit, probably they will help you.
There is another possibility. Maybe minimal deposit on StakeCube is bigger than 100k Satoshi and this is why your deposit wasn't credited.
4913  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S - Get 50% off! on: May 13, 2020, 10:47:59 PM
So, now Nano S costs €59 with VAT included. So, with 50% discount it will cost €29.5 - it's bargain. Even with delivery fee added, it's very cheap.
@cryptoaddictchie, there may be little delay in delivery. People in lockdown now buying most stuff online instead of going to physical stores, so it's bussy time for logistics companies like DHL - it's like Christmas period. But if you will receive your wallet few days later than supposed, I don't think will be big issue Wink.
By the way, Is there any alternative to Ledger OTG Kit? Wanted to ask this question badly before checking out. $15 is a lot from me  Grin
Well, I use OTG cable from Aliexpress for $0.5, and it works fine. So, you don't have to buy it from Ledger store.
4914  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus: International Updates on: May 13, 2020, 10:24:59 PM
- Bulgaria announced schools to remain shut until September to prevent the spread of coronavirus. All teaching will be online until then

I think that this measurement should be taken from all countries in Europe.
The school season has nearly come to the end - it is almost one month in order to stop the ordinary season and close the schools for summer.
Meanwhile in my country they open schools next week, basically when it's just two weeks left until schools season. But as I understand, every schools will be allowed to decide how they want to end it - online or in classes. As I read, many parents aren't going to let their children to schools - it's just not worth to risk for few weeks of studies.
Also, seems that all exams will be held as it were supposed with social distancing in exam room.
4915  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BETA] BPIP Extension - user info add-on / extension for Firefox, Chrome, et al on: May 13, 2020, 10:15:46 PM
Is it available for safari browser?
If I haven't missed anything, BPIP extension works on Firefox and Chrome browsers now, it's not available on Safari. I don't know have many forum users use Apple devices, but probably it would be good to have this extension for Safari.
4916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 12, 2020, 10:57:05 PM
According to Motorsport.com, Carlos Sainz will replace Vettel in Ferrari and they will announce about this week.
I like Carlos, he had good season at Mclaren, but after Vettel, it looks like big downgrade.
Ricciardo - as I understand, he didn't agree to be second driver.
Hamilton - it would be very interesting, but I don't expect such move.
Giovinazzi - c'mon, he barely can compete with old Kimi, what would he do in Ferrari?
Mick Shumacher - too early probably, he haven't achieved anything significant in F2 yet.
How about Alonso Cheesy? Would be interesting, but I'm a bit sceptical about him.
Where Vettel will go? Red Bull - why not? Mercedes - only if Hamilton will move to Ferrari. And maybe it's possible that Seb will decide to leave F1.
4917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA : Complete Domestic Competitions! on: May 12, 2020, 10:13:56 PM
I believe that professional sports should not suffer from this problem, since the elderly are mainly affected by coronavirus complications. Moreover, the only ongoing national football championship in Europe (Belarus), which takes place even with spectators in the stands, showed the absence of any problems in this matter. Therefore, if the majority decides to continue the championships, then the minority must obey them, or remain outside the game (like Danny Rose).
Well, people return to their jobs across the Europe. I don't think that football players are somehow different and exceptions for them is needed. Though, we obviously don't want to see players getting infected. You say virus is most dangerous for elderly people. It's true, but Montpelier player Junior Sambia was income after he got COVID-19.
Belarus playing with spectators, but I see that one game next weekend is postponed because one player got Covid-19.
4918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 12, 2020, 08:18:04 AM
After this session, Sebastian Vettel leave Ferrari, so what is the next Team of the German, McLaren or Renault, i don't think Mercedes  Huh Huh

https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.breaking-news-sebastian-vettel-to-leave-ferrari-at-the-end-of-2020-f1-season.KBuBQw6AsUvOhB6p7IU9c.html

Next teammate of LecLerc, maybe with much money Hamilton?
Wow, very interesting. Now there is two main questions - where Seb will go and who will replace him. I would predict that Ricciardo will join Ferrari, his contract ends this year. Hamilton - it's possible, but I doubt about it. Alonso maybe?
And it's interesting where Vettel will go. I won't predict it...
4919  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Youtube SCAM: Bitcoin Giveaway LIVE Streaming on: May 11, 2020, 11:04:24 PM
I see such live videos on Youtube almost daily. And I agree, it's well made scam scheme. It's almost looks like real legit video. There is popular people talking in background about important topic. Design of video, channel logo, thumbnail and other stuff looks really professional and legit. There is just one red flag, usually there is just one video in the channel, while official channels usually is full of videos. But I doubt that many people check content of channel before watching such live video.
Usually such videos have huge number of viewers. Currently there is over 50k people watching this video. But I doubt that there is so many people actually watching this video. Probably most of these viewers are fake to creat solid image of video. But it's probably not that cheap to make so many fake viewers.
Best thing what we can do - report such videos. Though, it's not very effective and soon new video will popup.
4920  Other / Meta / Re: Stopping Bounties To Rank Up In Btctalk on: May 11, 2020, 10:46:54 PM
Well, if most of your posts will be bounty reports, it's not likely that you will get merit. First, because forum users don't read posts in bounty board and not looking for posts to merit there. Second, there is no reason to give merit to users who came here just for bounties. They just don't give any value to this forum and they didn't made any merit worthy posts.
But I don't agree that bounty hunter can't get merits and rank up. You can participate in bounties and at the same make good posts, contribute to forum. People don't check posting history before giving merit. If you will make merit worthy post, I doubt that someone will check your post history and say "Oh shit, he is bounty hunter, I shouldn't give him merit".
