4921  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the best ways of introducing someone to bitcoin ? on: September 03, 2020, 04:39:51 PM
All the steps you've taken at OP creator Protrader786 are in place. You've done quite a good job, I'll give you credit for that. People are more moved by the things they see rather than the things you say. Like the saying goes, 'action speaks louder than words'. I wasn't a fan of Cryptocurrency once untill I saw a few persons living it everyday in my neighborhood. How did they live it you might ask?
They made it fun for themselves, speak it, trade it and made occasionally withdrawals before my very eyes, showed me the things things they did and left me to myself. At that point, it was a choice for me either to go with them or not. Not like you force it on anyone, I'm not say that. Or you put it all in there faces and I'm not saying that either.
Do your best and let them choose. If it doesn't boost their curiosity on the field, then it's not their thing at that time. Again, some people might feel, your only doing that just because, there is something for you and as such, they tend to resist. It's fine, let them be. In time, they just might come to you.

4923  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Invest with due diligence and proceed with caution on: September 02, 2020, 04:16:50 PM
Invest in what you can afford to to loose they say, but the real question is, are you willing to let go of that money?

I felt amused when I saw this. It's a good thing for you to have bring it up. This is the point where most users starts loosing. One thing some users need to know is risk taking and risk management because, there is a difference.
You have to understand the too to effectively know when your progressing in a trade, when you need to change strategy or when to just pull out and research for more strategies that flows with the trends at that period.
It's really important to note that, these trades also works on periods. Don't expect same strategies to produce same results in the same periods.
Most users wants to recover at all cost so, you take crazy steps, loose in the process, repeat with hope for a change and continue in the process. That's an issue! That's the point where trades gets really difficult. It's actually telling you, that the period has changed. That you don't recover at that moment doesn't mean it's all lost.
Relax, research and strategize and you just might get a hang of what you where missing.
4924  Other / Beginners & Help / After growing an account, what next? on: September 01, 2020, 02:41:22 PM
After Ranking Up, What Next?

I saw this question as a comment on a post sometime ago. I can't really recall exactly else, I would have referenced or quote it but then, the question got me wondering and it only takes a legendary user to answer this question more accurately. That's not to say, users of lower ranks won't have an idea or can't shine a light on this shade but, like a user rightly said;
Quote
You acknowledged me
Being a member says your recognized, you belong here
It implies your a piece of the puzzle and do add up
It verifies the account in the scale of things and importance to you(me)
My membership tells me we've got more work to do cause,

Being a member never means you were owning everyone or getting acknowledged. In my opinion it is just a title but never makes you happy when you see Hero member.

Though, I can't say that's entirely right at quote. Why waste energy on being envious of archivers when you have an idea of the steps they took and your sure to get there if you can put in work. No seccess is an easy one. That's by the way though.

The point I was trying to make is this, the answer is always going to be biased and reflects your imaginations as you still have a path to walk in the journey of ranking up.
Clearly, a lot of users have the notion of the rank system assuring you a higher stake in bounties but;

* is that it?
* Is that all it offers?
* Is that all there is to it?
* Is that all that is to know about it?

It's evident that most users of lower ranks strive so hard on ranking up and in the process, you surely get to meet a lot of stuff and content on the way, you go through them but, they don't go through you. As such, it never makes sense, until they go through you and be a part of you. So I ask myself;

1. Why the pace?
2. Why strive so hard but blindly?
3. What are we (users low in the rank profile) running after?

The answers to these and many more of it's nature I do not know but, these I do know;

It's more easier to do a thing that your enthusiastic about, a thing that you enjoy the process and a thing that feeds your curiosity more accurately which is rather more rewarding than, blindly going through the process. It's like a blind man (male/female) been lead by a lead person or dog to his/her destination. Yes you might arrive but, you don't know the way.
(Note: I'm not saying, aiding the blind is bad, no, not at all. Please by all means do. Not having sight is such a disaster).
I'm only using the analogy to connote the fact that, you only get to appreciate the Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency atmosphere more if you pay attention to details. The system or forum is way more than being the top dog in the forum for some selfish reasons.

As much as I understand the forum, it's more about teaching, learning and getting rewards. It centers it's core on information sharing. The system/forum grooms you to be it's future or next generation. As the future of a thing, you are saddled with the responsibility of it's protection and continuity. Protection in the sense that, you aid to ensure a conducive cryptosphere by keeping scammers and menace in the system out and
Continuity in the sense that, you get to groom the next generation.

Let's get our mindset and priorities right and make every step of the way count as per Bitcoin/Bitcointalkforum/Cryptocurrency niche in the field of things.
I remain your humble forum user;

Thank you for your time.
4925  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of bitcoin trading scams -YouTube fake traders- on: September 01, 2020, 10:18:08 AM

+ learn to -do your trading-: you are the most trusted person you can trust, learn to trade -there are trading classes, demo/imitation trading,books- giving yourself adequate time to learn -THERE WOULD BE LOSES- just consistency/work you would come out average/good or mastering it.

That's the point most people don't get. They've always failed to believe in themselves especially when they've got some rainy days which makes them more vulnerable to be victims of scammers. It's always going to be so and as we have a lot of them in our midst this days, your more likely to meet one everytime you attempt to trade on or with new platforms.
If you've not been getting it right, it means your strategy is wrong. Do a proper research and test run it with what you can afford to loose, study the market structure, know how to calculate and when the profits should start coming. Once you start getting it right, research in more useful strategies, you'll surely get better.
Don't to depend entirely on signals. It might be right, at other times it might be wrong. Always have your way to verify how correct it is and always play it safe.
Learn to develop trust in yourself.
4926  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will the world governments ever allow crypto to survive? What next? on: September 01, 2020, 09:41:48 AM
It's not unusual for the government to go against what doesn't generates revenue into its treasury.
But this shouldn't be the case, as some people without gainful employments finds a career in Cryptocurrency from mining, trading and others. Hence, they are able to tackle their individual needs. For me, that's development in a way and it surely is a boost to the economy.
The only sentiment to capitalize on is the activities of scammers in the system. If this could be tackled, then cryptocurrency would be almost untouchable.
4927  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginners & Help – sMerit Distribution Summary on: August 31, 2020, 07:22:09 PM
At first when I got involved in cryptocurrency, it seemed rather evident that, the Chinese had a lot or tried to participate more in cryptocurrency in contrast to other nations. In my little way to understand the first chat (merit distraction per month) as regards it's decline in 2020. I'll attribute this to the pandemic breakout. This is why?

Most persons became aware of cryptocurrency following the trending era of Ponzi schemes from early 2016 through 2017 and goes on. This resulted in increased awareness of Bitcoin which reflected an increase in participation.
In 2019, a lot of cryptocurrency enthusiast trooped in to explore the growing field thereby increasing activities and participation which explains it's up trend as seen in the chat before forming it's highest high (if I may, borrow that term from forex) in January 2020 following the discovery of the pandemic.
This resulted in the decline of activities and participation as people where restricted from going about their daily activities with the stay at home policy. No doubt participation is not place limited but, the resources are. This is what is reflected in the months that follow through, showing the gradual decrease of merit distribution with regards to participation.
But then, it also created a chance for people to explore other fields of investment not excluding Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large so, I speculate a rise when things normalize.
What do you think of my analysis
4928  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Road to Hero Rank + My Bitcointalk story (motivation & Journey). on: August 31, 2020, 06:48:12 PM
Hero you are indeed. Congrats mate.
It's really an exciting believing that you can archive a thing and you finally do. 2016-2020 it's way much time! In fact, it's long enough to start and finish a course/program in a tertiary institution. That tells you how serious bitcointalkforum is.
It takes patience, devotion and enthusiasm towards Bitcoin to be able to persist and build a fortune for you. The good thing about the forum is that, you don't necessarily need to have it all figured out to be here, neither do you need all the above virtues to be here, the forum teaches you. The odds of you going through successfully always rests with you. Firstly,
The work required is doubled at each increase you get. Patience!
It doesn't get easier, you get tougher. Devotion!
The higher you go, the harder it becomes. Enthusiasm
These would always see you through.
Congrats once more on your new rank @Nelson4lov.
4929  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wrong conception on: August 31, 2020, 06:06:13 PM
The miscommunication begins from the word wallet itself. It's not so obvious, many newbies would assume the same meaning for pocket wallet in actual to confer on the online wallet and see it to perform same function (holding storing your fiat currency and storing your Bitcoins/Altcoins) respectively, except that one comes with a key of some sort (private key or seed phrase) due to it's intangible nature. It's fair. Not far from it but, in the case of wallet as per Bitcoin/Altcoin/cryptocurrency and all, the wallet performs an entirely unique function and has a pattern of operation. I'll put it simple in three points.

1. You need to understand the concept that, your Bitcoin/Altcoin is stored on the block chain, not your wallet.
2. Your wallet is just an address that allows for the transfer of your Bitcoin/Altcoin and
3. Your private key or seed phrase enables you to access your Bitcoin/Altcoin.

Point three(3) is what makes your private keys or seed phrase more important as it is your first level of security as regards protecting your funds in the cryptosphere.
4930  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus Lies on: August 30, 2020, 09:46:10 PM
The truth about the whole thing is, the numbers are fabricated just to scare people. No doubt the pandemic is very real but the actual count remains unknown. Though, we understand the intentions behind the fabricated numbers but, the masses have got to know the truth.
4931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Guide] Best Altcoins to Invest in 2020 on: August 29, 2020, 11:52:55 PM
If I get you correctly, your change in 30days is a speculation on the amount of expected activity as per change in price and the likely possibility for the next 30days... If that's what your trying to imply then, it's cool.
It's also nice to come up with the idea. Nice OP.

Merited or not, I'm sure to participate in a rather lucrative game that enriches the mind and puts your brain to work rather than replying to just any post on the forum. I'll put out my answer for the next question in few hours. I'm just glad you found a way to revive our memory on the logic gates of some almost forgotten chapters of our life and keep us all busy and working out brains. It's worth the effort.
4934  Other / Beginners & Help / Some common unnoticed errors most newbies and some users make on: August 27, 2020, 08:28:07 PM
SOME COMMON UNNOTICED ERRORS BY USERS

There are a lot of stipulated rules that governs this forum to ensure it's smooth running, accompanied by some unstated don'ts or principles which we are familiar with but fail more often to adhere to. They are very simple principles that affects us very much in our quest to being a valuable contributor to the forum which in turn results in the slow growth of an account. I'll mention only but a few as they occur to me in course of this article but, your all welcomed to add your contributions and comments as you deem fit.

1. Failure to note and read pinned/sticky thread
For the sake of clarification, a pinned or sticky thread is a thread that continues to persist and stays above other topics not of it's nature on a board for a long time, even when a new topic is pasted or the edition or comment on an existing post.
Newbies - Read before posting

Most Newbies and care free users fail to read or reference pinned/sticky threads due to some misconceptions such as:
Viewing the post to be faulty as in synonymous to a locked post or a potential off-topic post on the board but, that's not the case. It's infact, the direct opposite of the conceived idea.
Pinned/sticky threads caries vital information that relates to a board, the forum and references sources of vital information. It is pinned due to it's must read nature with hopes to be the first contact of new and confused users.

2. Sourcing/posting for merits
As much as many of us will fail to admit, we are often guilty of this habit of creating OP targeted at being merited. The forum rules out the begging of merits but posting with hopes of being merited is an abuse of the merit system as well. Thought not stated as a rule, it creates a menace in the system as it results in the creation of unnecessary posts which fills the board and might not be even knowledgeable of the contents of their OP after pasting. This is most likely as such users grow throw the ranks without learning the basics of Bitcoin as a cryptocurrency.

3. Growth aimed at bounties
This is likely the reason for which most Newbies seek to rank up in the forum. In making the quest to rank up a major aim, you drift by many vital lessons/information such as:
* Choosing the right wallet:
Best Bitcoin Wallet?
* Best and secured exchange to trade on:
Newbies - Read before using exchanges or investing
* How to secure your cryptocurrency
Discovery and avoidance of scam and phishing sites
:
Good topics on security and privacy
[LEARN] Phishing Quizzes - Beginners & Experts
and lots more in the forum. This is of disadvantage to the user as it drifts your mind fro. The main purposes of the forum which is centered on understanding Bitcoin, learning the vitals of cryptocurrency and the way cryptocurrency atmosphere operates.

4. Drifting across articles on the board
It's not so obvious that most users wants to add value and be noted for it in the forum as a constant contributor on discussions in the forum. This creates in the user the matter mindset of creating OP just to ensure the account is an active poster and pays less attention to post quality thereby, reading other op on the board becomes really difficult. This results in creating many similar topic OP, off-topic OP and digging up treated issues.

These and many other issues is phased unknown fully by most users which limits the chances of improvement on the account thereby letting it constitute nuisance in the forum.
The idea is simple. Be enthusiastic on issues relating to Bitcoin, focus on learning first and post with the aim of solving a problem or bringing new information to the forum. Keep being valuable.
Kind regards
Stay safe.
4935  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get merit on: August 27, 2020, 04:07:50 PM
No mean to disrespect this post but then, the topic and yo some extent it's content makes it seem rather like the whole idea of the forum for newbies most especially is about getting merited!
A forum account user with this notion is likely to learn nothing in this forum. You've just got to respond to posts in the forum from the way you really feel about it, be original and creative and don't post just for the idea that you should or wants to be noticed. Just do your thing, expecting nothing and see how it goes.
4936  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to help all people on: August 26, 2020, 10:43:45 PM
Helping all people seems a lot more unrealistic but, I could watch you try. But then, with cryptocurrency not allowed in Bangladesh, doesn't that scare you to break the law?
It's up to you though but, play safe.
4937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I call it digital colonialism on: August 26, 2020, 10:11:19 PM
When I first saw the topic of this op on the board, I had a thought of it being natural that all form of colonial relationship is a parasitic one and always ends in revolt from it's host which I initially thought to be cryptocurrency as the word digital connotes more often with respect to the forum Lol... I guess I thought wrong but, yeah.
The idea of revolt still stands. It's definitely colonialism in a way. I experience this data loses a lot and even discover some rapid app installation on my device and I'm like,
How did this get here...?
The worst part of it is that, even after deleting it, it keeps coming back after a few days of me being connected to a network. It's a serious problem.
How safe can someone get, if your not in total control of your device..?!
4938  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is African continent a cursed land? on: August 25, 2020, 05:38:56 PM
Why your topic centers on either African continent being a caused land,
Despite having the most favorable landscape that is not tormented by natural disasters, they are lacking behind in term of development. They are endowed by lots of natural resources
Ironically, it still points out that the land is wealthy in itself. This means, the land has got nothing to do with the situations the African people face but the people has everything to do with it. This also points out that, the resources beneath and above the soil doesn't make a nation reach, but the ability of the people to convert that which they are endowed with to something valuable does. Again, what could be really expected from a continent that continues to be affected by the effort from the western world both past and present to ensure Africa remains what it seems to be now...

What would you expect from a people that have had it's people and culture savaged by a lot of other nations and with it's leaders to have learnt from the various lifestyle thought to them by colonial rulers which were basically based on acquisition. Of cause they learnt, passed it down through generations and it's not been easy to abort the bad seed just yet.
Like the underdog, Africa will be brought to the light one day and the world we appreciate it's beauty.
4939  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wrong information shown by the media 🎵 ? on: August 24, 2020, 05:55:43 PM
It's not very obvious. Most of these authors that owns a blog or some other media for publication don't care about the content they put out. They just write for consistency and to keep their blog or media busy. It's so uncool. It's left for the literate on a topic to verify some of it's details. Good job.
4940  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: THE ROAD -BITCOINTALK CHANGED ME- on: August 23, 2020, 11:27:00 AM
Firstly, I'll say, congratulations to the owner of OP. You have every reason to be proud of yourself, knowing fully well where you started from and how your curiosity has got you. Its no doubt curiosity rewards the curious!
Not all of them are newbies (with less than 30 activities), many of them have hundred of activities (from bounty reports and spam posts) and they would have been Sr. or Hero members if the merit system had not kicked off in 2018.
Your so right on this one. For a fact, a lot of accounts like this exists on this forum and they've really done nothing wrong by choosing a way to go 😁, the only thing is, they shouldn't expect same results on all paths. At times, the way doesn't lead to the same destination. So, my advice for them is this,
When you walk👣 a path and it isn't getting you where you need to be, you can always take a turn and you might just notice where you all got it wrong. And it doesn't end there, correct them.
The merit and activity systems works hand-in-hand in check mating each other under a simple principle. Know them, follow them and you'll only get better. 👍
