Monza vs Inter the two teams showed a really amazing game. No one could have ever imagined that these two teams would play such a tough game. Monza and Inter two teams fought hard. And until the end neither team could win the match was a draw. Everyone thought this  Maybe Inter will win the match, Inter was ahead so much that everyone kept this thought. But it didn't happen. In this match Inter scored 2 goals and Monza scored 2 goals.
Inter should have won this match, but Monza had other things to say, now with this draw As Roma have a chance to get behind Inter with only 1 point if they beat Ac Milan, and because of that i think they can beat them even though it seems really tough, or at least Roma can get a draw out from San Siro.
I was wondering within myself if this was the Inter Milan that played wonderfully well against Napoli and won the match on Wednesday that was playing with AC Monza yesterday. This is the price some clubs pay after playing with a bigger club and win, they would now underrate the less-performing clubs. Well, I believe that AC Monza deserves praise for the show of display yesterday.

Inter was booked to win the match, but they could not continue with the seriousness they earlier played with, especially with their defence.
4922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you experienced this kind of gambling on: January 08, 2023, 08:06:47 AM
There must be numerous people following this strategy and when it hit home with one person world comes to know about it. For me, it's coincidence at best.
Numerous people following the strategy? How? Does this look like a strategy to you or gambling within gambling? This is not a strategy but a belief and it will mostly put the people that adopt it into trouble. After reading this thread, I started trying to be practicalizing it, but I realized I was foolish enough to be thinking like that. It will be a true coincidence if it works at times, but it would be one out of many outcomes that would be successful. So, it's not worth it.
4923  Economy / Economics / Re: WEF On Cryptocurrencies: Crypto is here to stay on: January 08, 2023, 07:47:34 AM
Crypto is truly here to stay, the reality is all around us now, and nothing could undo it anymore. But there are many things we should consider when it comes to cyber security, crypto is not in any way helping out as your post insinuates. In contrast, it is adding to the loopholes that the scammers could use to evade being seen.

Many hackers, money launderers, traffickers and more prefer to use it due to its nature, but the world would continue to view it as one of its disadvantage of crypto compared to the more advantages that it has brought to the world.
4924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Digital dollar a threat to Bitcoin ? on: January 08, 2023, 07:29:32 AM
This kind of question has surfaced on the forum before, and the answer is simple, it's a threat to it, but the threat would be minimal. A threat in the sense that many that are using Bitcoin for particular reasons like payment and investments might want to divert to the US Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) because it's better for investment in my experience and would be more readily available for that purpose. But for payment, this would depend on the offers the digital currency comes with. If it's such an offer with zero to a low transaction fee, more people would adopt it in place of BTC.

The main strength of BTC is in privacy and anonymity, and it would use that to continue to secure its place amongst rival payment systems.
4925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 07, 2023, 07:17:40 PM
This  is the perfect time for this Derby meeting. Manchester City humiliated Manchester United in the first leg and I believe the returning leg will be a revenge mission.
Manchester United form is growing every match and the confidence level of the team is growing well.
Although Manchester City is still a very good team anyway but the score line will not be like what was seen during their last meeting.

It's gonna be a tough game given how City are playing since the restart. Even last game was kinda close and City could have dropped another 2/3 points in that one. United have a good chance to surprise but City will be hoping to improve their form and what's more fitting than a Derby game so yeah timing is perfect but it's the same for City as well. Crucial game for both the teams.
I see things differently here, let me say that Man City is still adjusting to the post-World Cup plays, they played well with Chelsea on Thursday though, only that they could do better. And seeing the latest performance of Man U, I bet that they (Man City) will give it a better fight, they can't afford Man U to close on them more than what has been done on the table.

Furthermore, I am beginning to be surer that Man U would likely displace Newcastle from the third spot in their next EPL match, so the threat is becoming more for Man City and they will fight tougher when they meet. Nonetheless, it's when you trust Man U the most that they will disappoint you.

4927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the motives that drive you to gamble? on: January 07, 2023, 08:21:07 AM
Most time i gamble for fun. Sometimes i need to take a rest and get positive emotions and gambling is a good choice for such purposes. I don`t spend much money and that`s why i can`t say that i have big wins or loses. But 2 times i doubled my deposit and it was really nice feeling.
I can relate in this mate and yes  I have loved using gambling as my stress reliever , there are so much problem facing from work and business and when I gamble i maintain my positive vibes and so I attract luck as well.

but motivating me to be addicted is not on the list because I am more in enjoying than taking it seriously to win.
Oh, this is nice, it's so me. I was sceptical to end the reading while you insinuated that you use gambling to kill stress, I was thinking about addiction at first. But in the end, I realized that you are a fun seeker through gambling just like me, it's a very good way to relax and have fun especially when there are no good movies to watch.

What I would advise you about is that you should maintain this act with a little amount, it would surely help you to sustain the fun and depress the seriousness that could lead to addiction.
4928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: January 07, 2023, 07:00:17 AM

...

I guess what I'm trying to say is if it's a +EV bet but allowed only to take once then what's the point of EV?  One bet means nothing EVwise unless proven over a large sample.

That's nonsense and I don't think you believe it.
Let's see:

You can roll a dye once for $1 but if you win you get $1 million. You would take that bet, wouldn't you? And you would take it because of its massive, positive Expected Value. You can refuse to use the term "EV" for non-recurring bets and replace it with any other term if you wish (what would it be?), but it is what it is.

Again, what did we learn from such an exercise?  What could one bet teach us if we took it?  Could EV really be realized with just one bet then nothing?  Nope..  That's why I'm saying it's missing the whole point of what Expected Value really is.  The question in your exercise should be asking if we should bet the spot everytime even if we lose, which the answer is a resounding 'yes'.

Here's an explanation about EV with a couple of good examples.

https://upswingpoker.com/expected-value-ev-poker/
I believe that both of you are still driving at the same point, only that @pawel7777 did not complete what he/she tries explaining. There are several reasons why one would want to gamble when the EV is high and worth it, but in such a case, it might take several attempts that won't still be successful unless the casino is fair and luck is on your side. It is not easy to say you want to use just $1 to win $1M just like that, one could still be trying in over 1 million times and still wins nothing.
4929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin News - Bitcoin UpTime Is increasing Year By Year Growth Of 100% on: January 07, 2023, 06:52:50 AM
The Internet will not kill me with laughter...lol. People are just coming up with their information as it comes to their heads. This tweet might mean nothing to me because who does not know that Bitcoin has been active 100% since many years ago? And what happened to 2010 and 2013?

All these would have made more meaning if the tweep could back it up with technical explanations, but none was attached. Transactions are always actively going on with the BTC blockchain, and no bank or payment system in the whole world could compete with it.
4930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 06, 2023, 07:48:13 PM
Since the starting of the second half of this season ,Manchester and Arsenal have become the top talked team of the EPL. Their wave is really shaking other teams in the the Epl table. According to some fans ,The fight now seem to be between Manchester city and Arsenal only. But recently I so much believe in Manchester unite. Since the return from the just concluded FIFA world cup, man united have won nearly all their matches and are now so close to the epl top leaders. I sense Manchester United will end this season with a title.
Personally, I've not seen much that has changed in the EPL after the world cup in terms of performance, only that most clubs are now showing more seriousness, but still not peculiar in their ranking yet. Arsenal will likely lift the trophy this season, I'm still waiting for the miracle that Man City would perform. They've missed their chance already, they would likely be the first runner-up.

Also, Man U has improved significantly and are kneeling contesting the third position with Newcastle. They might win the third position eventually, but will still end the season behind Man City as the club (Man City) will not take no for an answer.
4931  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Banking is more reliable and faster on: January 06, 2023, 07:35:30 AM
I can boldly say that Bitcoin Banking is more reliable and fast because Bitcoin transactions is been done through wallet, the only problem that may occur is if the wallet is not correct another challenge is if the transaction is been encountered with down network but this is in rare cases.
The two important points I could infer from what you write here are "reliable" and "fast." Are Bitcoin transactions fast? I would say yes, it's fast but not faster, especially when the user knows well about the mempool and uses a higher gas fee for the transactions while sending the BTC to an external wallet. The transaction should be completed in about 10 minutes, so it's still reasonable. While sending within the same wallet could be way faster.

Now, it depends on what you are comparing it with, if it's fiat banking within the same country, then they are faster than Bitcoin, unless for the Swift Wire Transfer. Aside from banks, online payment systems' transfers are done instantly, not in minutes.

Furthermore, the reliability of Bitcoin is being put into doubt these days because hacking is more pronounced, and even wallet companies and exchanges are less trusted these days.
4932  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trading strategy becomes obsolete? on: January 06, 2023, 07:11:13 AM
Just imagine if all of us knows how to use RSI and MACD. We all know when it is overbought or oversold. Therefore, we already know as well when it is good to enter and exit in market. Since we all knew about, RSI is not a good indicator anymore and many of us will find a new indicator that will provide us more details than the latter one.
Says who? RSI has been existing for trading for several decades (1978) and has still been used by many traders. The same goes for MACD, except that markets have their time when indicators seem to work better or worse with them. There are some bad market conditions, and indicators are not to be blamed in this regard. If it were to be another indicator, I would have said that the trader might be wrong about its efficiency from the beginning, but not with the RSI and MACD if used properly.

Now, many Trading Gurus are teaching the best strategy to use. Wherein fact, strategies are becoming obsolete as time goes by. If you are new in trading world, definitely you will be eaten by those traders who know a lot in trading.
Do not let the so-called Gurus deceive you, there is nothing new trading strategy in the market anymore, they could only deceive you that they have created a strategy, but the strategy has been in existence for long. Even though their software is using a well-known strategy, except that you might not know what they code in it. And if you are not satisfied with this, I challenge you to name a new strategy, I will tell you the year I learned it because no trading strategy is new to me.
4933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Factors that contribute to form addictive gambling. on: January 06, 2023, 06:49:26 AM
What other factors do you know contribute to form addictive gambling?
A casino with very Beautiful ladies as staffs or where beautiful women come to meet chill or meet men who can spend on them will definitely be of interest to men and they will spend more time in these casino's gambling than they would spend in other casinos. I personally will pick and spend more time in a casino with beautiful women than a casino with just unattractive faces. This can be a weird reason, but it can contribute to form addictive gambling.
the marketing strategy of using beautiful women to make casino customers feel at home has been around for a long time and is indeed one of the factors that causes addiction.
because if a man has a lot of money and likes the woman, he will meet the woman every day and be willing to spend the money in his pocket to gamble at the casino.
and if the woman knows that the man likes her, surely the woman has a way so that the man can spend even more money at gambling by means of spoiled seduction etc.
I agree that women in casinos are a contributing factor to addiction.
What you just explained has nothing to do with the cause of addiction in gambling, this is just a means to lure anyone to gamble, but will certainly not lead to addiction since you can get women everywhere. It could only lead to more patronage though but certainly not addiction. This is not particular to gambling alone, restaurants and bars also do it, but it doesn't cause addiction. When you finish your money at that moment, then it ends in most cases, but addiction is worse than that.
But at least it has succeeded in getting the gamblers to return to the casino many times and has indirectly made them addicted to gambling even though it's not yet too heavy.
As I initially iterated, this is not new in gambling and it's not peculiar to it as some other businesses use it for marketing, while addiction to it is left to you as a person. One thing I will like us to differentiate is that luring for more patronage is not an addiction, but you guys are getting it wrong. If they like, let them bring the most pretty ladies to casinos, those that will fall for it would, and those that will not fall for it will not, that's where personality comes in. Even those that fall for it have a higher percentage of not getting addicted since they are mainly there for the ladies, they might only be around the place for more time. But this does not work forever as they will get tired of the ladies over time.

Addiction is way more, it's regardless of any trap, it's about the personality getting addicted themselves, and you don't necessarily have to use anything to lure them into it.

4936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing national lottery smart or waste of time? on: January 05, 2023, 03:57:20 PM
We can not conclude or take decision to some people the way I'm seeing it, so i believe that gamblling is a game of choice and interest, some people doesn't like playing lottery kind of game the way I'm seeing it, and another thing is that gamblling have varieties, someone that like casino kind of gamblling may not like to participate in lottery kind of gambling and also a poker kind of gambling or soccer gambling, so it's a game of specialty and personal interest.
Yes, our interests matter, this is about choice and what we want that would please us. I would say that playing the national lottery is not a bad thing, there is no big deal in it too as the money to play it are so low, and who knows, you might be the lucky winner one day. And you know what that means, it means that you might change your status for life with just a risk of a little amount of money.
The National Lottery is undoubtedly an opportunity. If the luck is very good then it is possible to win many unfulfilled dreams of life can be fulled by winning this lottery. The price of this lottery is relatively low but the prize is quite large. Winning such a lottery is not very common. Moreover, due to lack of publicity, people do not know much about the results or winners of this lottery. Due to which people are losing interest in it day by day. An advantage in gambling is when you are betting you are either getting a return or losing it all. People prefer gambling more than national lottery because of getting its results immediately.

I never trust National Lotteries, rather i do not trust any sort of lotteries. Some times i think that lotteries are just a way to collect money from the innocent gamblers.
In every lottery, there is a small contribution which you have to make in order to qualify in the lottery. People easily participate in these lotteries as they have to spent little money but the reward is enormous. However, most lotteries are fake and we never know if they were fairly rewarded.
People's trust in lottery is very low while expectations are high. I have purchased such lotteries several times in my life where I won nothing. When i bought that lottery, assumed i would win but finally get nothing. I bought it because of a hidden interest in my mind. But now I haven't bought any kind of lottery for a long time now and i won't buy again in the future. I know that buying the lottery is a waste of money and time as well.
I want you to know that your points might be true, yet they are personal, which makes them sentimental to me. Lotteries have their set out conditions governing them, and they are meant for a person or certain people to win at the end of the lottery time. This varies, and emphatically almost everyone would not win. This is the mode of operation, it's only when the lottery company did not regularly declare a winner at all that we could say it's fake or call it names

Lotteries are being played with a few bucks and one could win a life-changing amount with it, which makes more people lose for a selected few to gain. I know a few of them that are very transparent in their operations, and I can never label them bad if I do not win. The best is for me to use my money for better things if it's not worth playing.

4938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: January 05, 2023, 10:11:58 AM
Not only unsafe, but it is also so lame as an idea. Gambling sites that are to be trusted with our money are not many, and the regulations of the industry are still weak as far as I am concerned, except for some that are in advanced countries. Regardless, it is safe to keep our coin in our trusted wallets, not with the gambling site that could do and undo it.

So gambling sites are even involved in some shady deals like money laundering and others, such will not have a conscience in stealing your money too. Aside from that, what if the government overseeing their domain now shot it down, then your money is gone just like that.
It is lame if you will use it like a wallet when there is already a crypto wallet but not really lame when you do it for a purpose like you are earning some dividends but I salute those who have a balance inside the gambling site that is unused for a very long time.

This only means that these people can defy the temptation caused by gambling. If only regulations are strong in crypto gambling then scam gambling sites will get lessened but I think this is being worked out now. Have you noticed that KYC's are now being implemented left and right? But maybe after this, many people will be confident to store their money thinking they are now safe.
Even if they are already regulated and asking for some KYC then i cant still bare out to store my funds on any platform.
Regulation or KYC is another legal means that some companies used in attracting customers but this in the real sense does not add to the integrity of the company. I don't trust any gambling site due to their regulation, I only trust them based on their reviews. Even with very good reviews, I will never store my crypto in any of them except the ones for immediate use.

Casinos are certainly not designed for that purpose, so why use them for such?
4939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 05, 2023, 08:32:58 AM
That proves there was something happened with napoli. Losing against intermilan makes napoli lose its win streak. I think that napoli can do better than it. It seems like that the performance from napoli has been going down since the result of friendly match.
That's not the old napoli who has been performing at the early season. I meant napoli can only make two shots against intermilan. Napoli was also dominating the match. The performance from napoli was quite different compare with the performance before world cup. It's not weak but the attacker line seems bad IMO.

Yup, I had said that, there was a possibility for Inter Milan to win the match against Napoli, because of their performance during the World Cup break was not good. From there, I think this will affect their performance in Serie-A, and its come true, Napoli got their first defeat in Serie-A this season. The positive is (For Me), AC Milan's point gap has been cut by 3 points, this has opened up hope for AC Milan to maintain the chance to win. It's been a long time since Milan won 2 consecutive seasons, hopefully this season will create new history for Milan.  Grin
It happens in games, only that Napoli should now be more careful as their 8 points dominance has reduced to 5 points. Another loss would expose them clearly, it should not be entertained. I believe that they would have won if this match was played before the world cup, but the tournament has changed a lot of things now.

Napoli might still be in good form as usual, but they seem to have lost focus now. With the way they played yesterday, it did not portray striking expectations from them playing with another big club.
