This topic is interesting because a while ago when I saw this thread, even I remember thinking that people go to gambling because of the money, of course this is the main factor, but reading some articles I see that there is a lot of something behind the reasons that lead people to enter the world of gambling, for example by reading these articles:

reading this article I could also see a lot of things, gambling is something that you should be very careful with, in my case I am in gambling for fun but also for money and I will not deny that I am for money, nobody likes to lose money, we all want to win but unfortunately it is very difficult to win in games of chance

Just like many of us would admit, most gamblers bet because of money. Just like using small fund to win bigger fund. The aim of many gamblers is to make more money just like the good gamblers that we know that do make bets with big amount of money and if they lose, they'll keep gambling to recover and make more money. If we keep gambling always we might have a little problem like gambling addiction which could be as a result of too much excitement of consistent winnings that could make us to keep gambling and end up becoming an addictive gamblers.

There are lots of fun activities I would want to spend my leisure time on certainly not on gambling for the sake of fun if not for the long short profit. You know fun won't put food on my table! Maybe 5% fun out of 100% just to keep anxiety off the mind while on it. Yeah it's believed that gambling should be fun but the fun for me comes when am making profit and not the other way round.

Most gamblers are addicted to it. Is only few ones that can control themselves. I was once a gambling addict. Then I wasn't enjoy gambling because I feel so sad when I lose.. It take time before I can control this. Now I take gambling as fun because I gamble with money I can avoid to lose.

Several people I met told me that gambling is the same as trading crypto which means they don't use that money that they can use for the necessities of life. so with that strategy, if you lose all your money, you can continue your life without any burden to think about what have you to eat tomorrow. I used to say gambling for fun several moments ago, but when I think about it again, it's like a bullshit quote, because Fun if we are winning, and stress when we are loose. So, to overcome it, use the money that you can't use for life definitely will not burden you.

Personally, my motive is to gamble basically for profits and to have fun at least. And that is really possible if you are gambling your spare money, and you are not chasing for bigger profits all the time, or you are not chasing your previous losses as you will only lose in the long run. Until now, I could say this is still working for me.

I was once a gambling addict before but now I’ve come to control myself and only gamble when there is extra money to gamble. Although I would be sarcastic if I won’t admit that I’m still gambling for money, but to gamble with limits is more profitable than gambling until you meet your own satisfaction. Now I’m gambling more for fun, but definitely it would be more fun and profitable if I’m also winning most of my bets.

If we've understood about gambling in the right way we'll console ourselves not to get upset or frustrated on losing. When I was new to gambling I've cried for days with the doors locked. Those are days when my mind had a thought we'll win out of gambling and the loss wasn't acceptable.

Sorry, but where's the fun if you don't feel mad/sad when you lose or happy when you win? It's good and even necessary to be able to control your emotions when gambling but not to the point not to feel anything.
Sometimes, when I hit a long losing streak, I get mad and unconsciously start cursing and yelling, few moments later I start laughing on myself and on how I reacted.

Gambling never guarantees your winning or losing bets but as long as you always gamble for fun and for some profits too, you will always look forward to gamble because you enjoy it. And as long as you put limits to yourself since gambling is honestly more on losses, then you will understand how gambling works and how addiction on the other hand will cause you to struggle.

For me, If I know that there is a huge luck coming when I bet on the game. There are times that I just spend my extra money and even If I will win or lose it doesn't matter also if the online casino are providing bonuses such as deposit bonuses or cashback.

Well, bonuses and cash backs are certainly some of the highlights in gambling. But we know that it’s just rare to happen winning from them. And honestly, if we always gamble and lose our capital, for me that would not be fun anymore as I come to gamble to be mostly profitable than just to gamble and then lose them all. Although sometimes losses are just inevitable, but if we always gamble with luck and with some skills aside, I guess we can expect more winnings in gambling.

My motivation with gambling is definitely to make money, so it just ends up with fairly small bets and taking advantage of some rather generous offers at different book makers that allow you to cover both sides of a bet and walk away with a profit. Nothing major but a guaranteed $10-20 per week that gets taken out and put into stocks instead, which you could consider equal gambling but sticking with the largest dividend paying companies at least returns a slow passive benefit over time. I could quite happily walk away at any time, but it only requires patience and not getting carried away with spending the freely accumulated money on silly side bets or taking a chance at the slots.

If you are a real gambler, you will always gamble for profits because that is the reality. And when you do it, fun follows. Even myself, although I am not that expert when it comes to gambling, but I’m glad I’m also making significant profits out from it. But I also follow the basics in gambling, gamble your spare money and never go to chase your losses. That way, I can still say that my gambling experience from the past up to the present is still within my control.

Gambling with your spare and not to exceed with it is much more enjoyable compared to gambling with trying hard to satisfy your lust, though it is the winning amount that still influence you but if you can control and limit the amount of your allowable amount to risk, then addiction can be avoided or too much engagement will be lessened.

I also came from that situation where I always wanted to gamble thinking that after winning some amount I can do better in the next following try, realizing that I already losing a lot, then I pause for a while and now, I'm just playing using spare and nothing more.

I want games that last for hours and my bet getting near to a win, that's what keeps my blood pumping so high that entertainment becomes more exciting and me cheering like there's no tomorrow.

Sometimes we are not contented but we are looking for something to add on what we are currently doing. In your case you try to win money other than being entertained. For the most of us, I think our motive for gambling is only to earn a profit by default. It's fine if they can't add anything because to win a profit is already enough to make them happy as there are so many fun things to do with the money you win.

Betting in sports can indeed make our money last longer but what about in casino games? It's also possible if you will bet on certain games which aren't that instant. You can also minimize your bets. No matter what type of game it is, it can be stressful or fun depending on the player.

Argentina was 36 matches unbeaten before facing Saudi, no one dared to bet on Saudi to win the match.

I know people who placed stupid bets after losing for a while, they just bet out of rage. Take it as a match yourself while playing the chance is 50-50. So why get emotional after losing a bet or two? Just like real sports it is fun to play, and enjoy both winning and losing.

Unless you are a pro poker player so yeah, you can make a lot of money if you have achieved that level of pro and has been in the circuit placing in every tournament or even winning some. And then there are gamblers like rest of us who matured and just play to have some fun or just gamble money that they can afford to lose.

I know it's frustrating to lose, but if you are ready to accept defeat in gambling, I think we can all move on.

No need to always chase those winnings, if you are lucky then it will come and not force the situation upon yourself, otherwise you will really get addicted to it. So change your motive for enjoyment and you will be good.

I lost a bet on the first match between Argentina and Saudi Arabia.  Because in the match something really incredible happened which no one could have predicted and especially Argentine fans like me couldn't accept it. But it is normal to not always win in betting because a gambler can never win all his bets so sometimes one has to accept the loss with a smile.
