4921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - the future "stable coin" on: December 05, 2018, 09:26:12 PM
I think that the largest central banks of the world will not support Bitcoin as a reserve world currency. This is due to the high concentration of bitcoins in individual hands, mainly in China. If the majority of bitcoins were owned by the Fed, then bitcoin would become a world currency.
And then the crypto currencies would end up being a centralized currency. Then why would we be using crypto currencies any more? The whole point of crypto currencies were to bring a decentralized currency with no central authority at all. Once the network becomes centralized, we will end up losing our financial freedom. There would once again be no difference between fiat currency and crypto currency.
4922  Economy / Speculation / Re: This year is a total opposite of last year on: December 05, 2018, 09:12:26 PM
Like we all know, the crypto currency market is totally unpredictable. You will never know what is going to happen to the price. Even though it may sometimes follow the same pattern from previous years, but there are also chances that they will deviate themselves from the pattern. So, what ever you invest, make sure you are prepared for anything that is about to hit you hard.
4923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dont panic ! small marketcap = big profit after pumps. speculation ! on: December 04, 2018, 06:42:45 PM
This is outright gambling at this point. Small marketcap means that a single holder could flip the market to the bottom or the top. It means that there's no maturity and whatever price you buy to it's uncertain if you're going to lose everything or not.
Wasn't it always gambling when it comes to holding bitcoin or other crypto currencies. Well more like controlled gambling. When you are holding it for a short term, there is no way to predict what is going to happen to the price. You are taking risk when you are holding it. The case is totally different when holding it for long term. In the long term, the price will eventually rise (assuming no such havoc takes place that will bring down every crypto currencies). In other words, when it comes to short term holding, it is always like gambling.
4924  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Cryptocurrency threatens governments on: December 04, 2018, 04:52:52 PM
The government wants to have everything under their own control. Now bitcoin is decentralized. There is no way the government can bring full control of the network. Hence they are imposing various kinds of regulations to indirectly have control over the crypto currencies. The government is scared to give power to the people - the prime reason why the government feels threatened by crypto currencies.
4925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Destroyed me at all. on: December 01, 2018, 03:29:42 PM
Few months back i purchased arround 15 to 16 btc when bitcoin price was 10000$ to 11000$ each btc but now arround 4000$ each btc .Just waiting for 11000$ for each btc than i should leave btc and i can see bitcoin have no future in this time.
I am quite sure you knew about the risks when investing on bitcoin/cryptocurrencies. You bought it when the price was around $11,000. That means you did hold till the price reached around $20,000. When the price started falling, you didn't sell your coins. You kept on holding it. Then why are you giving up now? Just keep holding it. Eventually you will make profit. And do keep in mind that its the value that has dropped. You still have the same amount of coins that you have bought.
4926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on blockchain being taught in school on: December 01, 2018, 03:20:30 PM
A very good step I would say. Gradual spreading of the technology will help us to slowly adopt the system. Learning from the very beginning will help them to have a basic understanding of the technology. The more the people will know about it, the more we can develop this technology and use it for the betterment on every stage. This in turn will help us see the true potential of the technology.
4927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the governments kill cryptocurrencies on: December 01, 2018, 03:14:53 PM
Governments are trying to take cryptocurrencies under control. However it doesn't seem that they are very successful in this deal. Lets see what will be in 2019!
They can never have direct control of the currencies or the network. This is a P2P decentralized network. If the government could take control of crypto currencies, then they could have taken control of the torrent network long before. Torrents still exist and people still use it for pirating. Was the government able to kill it? Nope, they weren't.
4928  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Buy in Amazon with Bitcoins. on: December 01, 2018, 03:11:47 PM
Yes, you can buy stuff on Amazon using BTC. There is a wallet called Ipayyou (it is 2 years old age now) that allows you to buy on Amazon using your bitcoins. The wallet has a featured called “Amazon Direct” that lets you transfer any dollar amount of bitcoin to use for purchases on Amazon. I might be mistaken but I think this is the only way, for now, to buy things on amazon using bitcoins.

For more information check:https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/ipayyou/

or visit : https://wallet.ipayyou.io/
Never heard of ipayyou. So people should be careful when using such services with less reputation. Anyways, you can also buy amazon giftcards from reputed shops online that sell those cards for bitcoin. Much safer option I guess. Or you can use purse.io like others mention, but as far as i know, there are some countries they do not support.
4929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO devs should fear bounty hunters!! on: December 01, 2018, 02:45:40 PM
This is what you guys should actually be doing. Instead of going back to them again after getting scammed (which encourages them more to scam people), just make people aware of their doings. Let people know how irresponsible they are. They will eventually straighten up and this will gradually cause ICO developers to stop scamming people. Take proper steps, once you know they will not pay your rewards, step back and spread the word of their scam.
4930  Economy / Speculation / Re: When are you buying? on: December 01, 2018, 12:43:12 PM
My plan is to focus more on holding at the current price decline, I will be patient and wait for bitcoin recovery, and I think it will be lower risk.
Well, you are holding it since you believe that the price will start rising back eventually. Then why not invest keeping the same believe? A bit risky (for short term though), but still you will be maximizing your profit and will be helping the market too. Just invest up to your comfort level. The reward will be worth taking the risk.
4931  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession and Bitcoin on: December 01, 2018, 12:22:53 PM
Yes, the cryptocurrency market will follow the decline of the financial crisis. Bitcoin will take off when the financial crisis is out of control. This may be a long process. Now we have seen a decline in cryptocurrencies, a decline in the stock market, and a drop in crude oil.
What financial crisis are you talking? I am not aware of such crisis. Can you enlighten me? If you are talking of those normal global economic crisis, I don't think it will be affecting the price of the bitcoin. In fact, the price of bitcoin should be rising during such crisis. Everyone will move their fiat investment to bitcoin or other crypto currencies, since investment on those during the crisis makes proper sense.
4932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction mainly due to loneliness and dissatisfaction? on: December 01, 2018, 11:38:41 AM
addiction is still adiction no matter how safe or dangerous it is  and i dont believe that it is caused by loneliness or disatisfaction  but it is only caused by your own liking .  now in the case of gambling ,  we can still play it and choose to not be addicted to it by doing some self controlling methods such as limiting your self and diverting your self onto some other things that is more important  .
I don't think there is any thing known as safe addiction. Any kind of addiction is harmful, since you start to deviate yourself from being natural. Anything addicting is always harmful in one way or the other.  Dissatisfaction is actually one of the cause of addiction. If people lose in gambling they are dissatisfied and thus tries to gamble more to get some satisfaction. Once they start winning, they start craving for more thus eventually becomes addicted.
It is not that easy to control or divert yourself to something else. Best thing to do is, if you realize that you are getting addicted, then just keep yourself away from that activity before its too late.
4933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of crypto currencies on: December 01, 2018, 11:29:23 AM
I can't see any future in the cryptocurrencies at this time, they all afraid to invest this due to the market volatility, now the market all is the shit coins, not product, no update after the coin listing, no one want to invest the coins without the real project or use case in it.
Then why go after those shit coins? You knew that those coins won't prosper long enough, but you still go after those coins just to make some quick profit (if you get lucky enough to join the pump). This in turn encourages other developers to produce more such shit coins and scam people. Just ignore those coins and they will eventually die without hurting anyone.
If they are afraid to invest on crypto currencies, then they should stay away. There are risks involved and if you are willing to take those risks, then go ahead and invest.
4934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing is believing on: November 30, 2018, 11:54:08 PM
Of course investing is all about believing. You invest money on crypto currencies because you "believe" that the price will eventually rise on the long run. If you believe that the price will drop, will you be investing on those crypto currencies? Nope. If the price has dropped to its peak point and you believe that the price will rise back, then you will invest more when the price dips. In the end how you will invest your money totally depends on what you "believe" will happen to the market.
4935  Economy / Economics / Re: A Public Market is Turning 'Cashless' in the Philippines on: November 30, 2018, 11:43:35 PM
This is an evidence that cryptocurrencies are really have some brighter future because they are already been adopted by some big businessman. It is good to know that Philippines was enjoying the features of blockchain amd and hoping for the best for their newly adopted business.
Did you even read what was written on the original post? Or did you just post here blindly by just reading the topic title? The public market isn't accepting bitcoin or any other crypto currencies. They are just turning "cashless", which means that transactions won't be done through physical cash, but some other means such as e-currencies, mobile app or any other digital payment method. This includes the chances of using crypto currencies too.
4936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market manipulation? on: November 30, 2018, 11:38:04 PM
Yup. The bitcoin/cryptocurrency market can actually be manipulated. Whales can manipulate the price of the market buy dumping or pumping a coin. There are trade bots on exchanges that can really play a vital role in price manipulation. Tether can be used to bend the price of bitcoin. There are some conspiracies which states that bitcoin price has been manipulated in 2017 with the help of tether.  Not sure if it is true, but is indeed possible.
4937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL is not advisable! on: November 30, 2018, 11:32:39 PM
True, it is not always the best thing to hold on to your currency for a long term. Suppose you have invested on a currency whose price is declining. Again, there is another altcoin that has better potential and has sign of steady price rise. So what would you do? The clever thing to do is to sell your current investment and open up the opportunity to invest on the other altcoin instead. You might make a small loss by selling your initial investment, but is still the better thing to do.
4938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will jump higher to 400-500 USD after get 150 USD on: November 30, 2018, 11:29:44 PM
Those "some" people you are talking about, do they have any reason to believe that the price will reach $150 USD? Or are they just randomly predicting some price based on no facts? The crypto currency market is totally unpredictable. We never know what the price will be. The prices can deviate from previous chart price anytime without any kind of prior notice. So there is no way we can tell if the price will drop to $150 or if it will rise to $400-$500.
4939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to exchange your altcoins for dollars or btc? on: November 30, 2018, 11:01:55 PM
Well it actually depends on the situation. First of all, if you are in dire need to fiat currency, then convert it into dollars. Or else, never convert it to fiat currency. Even if you see the price dropping, keep holding instead of selling it since you will make things more worse by selling. Just keep holding it and the price will eventually rise. And if you still need to convert your altcoin, then just exchange it for bitcoin rather than fiat.
4940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This is a golden time on: November 30, 2018, 10:30:40 PM
He is quite positive about the market and he is very much assured that market will rise but it will take some time
If you think straight, then yes, the market is bound to rise eventually, at least on the long run. Assuming bitcoin has become a main stream currency, there will be demand for bitcoin everyday. Now think of the relation between demand, supply and price. The demand for bitcoin will keep on rising, but the supply will always be limited. Thus, this limited supply but unlimited demand will cause the price to rise steadily in the long run.
