4921  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am an introvert on: November 11, 2020, 12:17:21 PM
I don't think being introvert is bad thing. We just need to accept who we are and try to live with it better. In my opinion there are many introverts out there. Everyone of us has a time where he likes to be among other people and a time where he likes to be alone. And I think as an introvert we value the time with real good friends much more. There is nothing wrong with being in a smaller group.
4922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: November 11, 2020, 09:16:59 AM
I don't understand why some of you are so into single bets. If you place single bets and go all-in I suggest you rather play a single dice roll. At least if you lose you would know that you were playing provably fair.
Once, I lost big on a single bet made on a champions league game: I was so sure of one team winning (odds were 1.12 playing home) and they eventually lost. Of course, I lost too. That's when I started playing multi bets only: I play less than $5 and sometimes I end up winning nice amounts.
No more single bets for me.

I think most of us here on the forum are trying to minimise their own risk while still trying to profit of a bet. Single bets are best for such bets in my opinion. You know exactly what kind of risk you take even though the payoffs might be lower than with multi bets. As someone who gamble and bets regularly you should never go all-in on one bet in my opinion. The risk of losing is just too high. It's best to spread out your bets across multiple different bets.
4923  Other / Politics & Society / Re: America is witnessing a coup by corrupt left wing media nettworks on: November 11, 2020, 09:10:52 AM
CNN & Co are trying to dictate america who won the election and putting themselves over legislature and executives.

everyone disagreeing with that is being attacked with fascist and racist threats

What are you saying? That Trump actually won the election? That doesn't seem so likely to me. The difference between Biden and Trump is quite large (290 to 214), if it was up to 1 state I would maybe agree with you. But not with this huge margin. Also Fox News  is reporting the same results as any of the big news paper companies. Why should Fox be a leftwing media company?
4924  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: November 11, 2020, 09:04:56 AM
Cash is truly the most anonymous money in the world.

However, there is a trend towards restricting the use of cash around the world (especially in the Scandinavian countries).

Cash is very difficult to control.  You can, of course, rewrite the numbers and series of banknotes ... This can be effective if the money is known to be stolen ...

Regulators are trying to ban cash altogether.  Most likely, they will succeed.

In my country, stores do not accept cash due to Covid-19.  I can only pay for purchases with a credit card.

The new digital cash of the 21st century is Monero (XMR).  I think that cash will not disappear in the 21st century.  21st Century Cash = Monero.

Criminals are trying to hold on to cash as long as possible because it's so anonymous. But government and central banks are fighting them more and more. Large denominated bills are being taken out of circulation, making transfering large amounts of cash more difficult because now weight and size increases a lot. I think criminals are adjusting to these trends and try to go digital themselfs. Many crimes these days are done via the internet, so why not store your stolen money in crpytos? Would make perfect sense to me.
4925  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lockdown depression :( on: November 11, 2020, 08:52:02 AM
We are all worried especially now that there is a virus. We do not know when it will end. Many are unemployed. Can not leave the house without a gate pass. So many are depressed. Others are losing their jobs. and Rising prices that people can no longer afford.

Good news is that there is finally an vaccine being developed  that works. Pfizer and Biontech have a vaccine that seems to over 90% immunity. It is probably still going to take another few months for it to be mass produces for most people, but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. For all us in lockdown and feeling isolated and bad about the current time, we should be relieved by these news. 2021 is definitely going to be better than last few months.
4926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: November 11, 2020, 08:45:58 AM
Looks near to the perfect on paperwork or for making a master thesis but let's accept the reality and move on with it. The idea of gambling is not only having fun, entertainment, and checking Youtube streamers is more fun for me. The main idea is to increase the bankroll and run fast from the casino. If the only idea is to have fun, then either the money is no a problem or he really likes adrenaline on gambling. Otherwise, demo play is enough for reaching the same "fun level".  Just my 2 cents.

I agree with you, the idea of gambling and betting is that it can be fun when we are winning and it provides a nice adrenaline rush to check results and see if we have won. But losing a large sum of money can be very frustrating and depressing, at least for me. That is why bankroll management is so important in my opinion. We need to restrain our self to not bet larger than we can actually afford. A good bankroll management is in place to protect us from going bankrupt.
4927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I 'delete' useless tokens from my wallet? on: November 11, 2020, 08:36:12 AM
Is it possible to remove tokens from dead projects/tokens that are totally useless and worth $0 from my wallet? Do I just send them to a random address? I don't want to burden anyone else with those shitcoins  Cheesy

I would advice against deleting coins from your wallet. Sure you could ask the admin to remove them for you, but why? They don't hurt you and might even be used again in the future. We never know if an old project might get pushed again. And maybe your coins become a lot more worth again in the future. So if you really need to get rid of them, just try to sell them or as them to be removed.
4928  Local / Suche / Re: Bitcoin <-> Bargeld Tausch in Deutschland on: November 11, 2020, 08:30:47 AM

4929  Other / Off-topic / Re: Enron was the biggest fraud in history with 65 billion, now the nr 1 is Facebook on: November 11, 2020, 08:18:17 AM
All Facebook moderators are the equivalent of Nigerian prince scammers.

It's all a fraud, scam and theft. It really is.

I wouldn't count the Facebook moderators as scammers, they are just doing their jobs. It's very unlikely that all the Mods are having a real stake in Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg is the Prince maybe, because he is on Top and controlling everything. The Moderators are not really getting a payoff from all the theft and scams being run on Facebook, they just get their normal salary.
4930  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is lying or cheating in support of stealing an election okay? on: November 11, 2020, 08:12:11 AM
Just curious what the attitudes were on this subject.

This is self moderated; vote based on your beliefs, prejudices, hates, whatever.

Please don't post more endless trump hate, just vote.

I don't think the president should be lying as part of an election. There might be a few reasons where the president should lie, to protect his people or as part of some though negotiations maybe. But if we would all be okay to accept lies just to get into the office, than the hole election campaign becomes skewed. We wouldn't know what to believe anymore, which of statements are going to be true and which are false.
4931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long until we can bet with bitcoin in real life casinos? on: November 11, 2020, 07:58:26 AM
What do you think?

at some point people will be able to walk in a casino and just bet on slot machines with bitcoin?
or play poker using crypto, but irl?

do you think it will become a mass adoption currency or it'll keep as it is on online websites only?

of course some merchants and places already adopt crypto and BTC as a way of payment, but curious here:
how long you think it'll take to reach the point where we can bet in real life places with bitcoin?

I think that the casinos at the moment are having a pretty hard time, and as soon as the new lockdown is lifted they will try to get back on track with their casinos. The business model is still great, so they don't need to look for new games. What is more important is getting the old gamblers back in the casinos and try to get players too in my opinion. During the pandemic many people started gambling online with bitcoins, so allowing the bitcoins now in the physical casinos too would be next step. This could be a good way for casinos to try and attract new gamblers.
4932  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden and Cryoto on: November 11, 2020, 07:45:56 AM
How do we speculate if bitcoin and crypto shall prosper under the Biden administration than it does under Trump administration.
We shouldn’t be speculating, I think it is best we wait for him to enter the office and we will know what are his views on crypto. I have not seen anything about him talking about cryptocurrencies before, so I can’t just start speculating and making wrong statements that will possibly discourage a lot of people.

Let’s just hope that they don’t place more of these strict regulations that will tighten up everywhere and become a burden for cryptocurrency exchanges. And I also hope that they don’t pass some crazy laws that are going to discourage people and make them scared to buy cryptocurrencies.

I don't think that more strict regulations will come from the Democrats now, usually the Democrats are more open minded than the Republicans. My bet is that Biden will try to revert some of the Trump policies from the last 4 years and be more open towards business area like the crypto world. I agree we shouldn't be speculating here too much, it's best to stay outside of the political world and hope for the best.

4934  Economy / Economics / Re: The Destruction Of The Euro on: November 10, 2020, 02:14:54 PM
I hope people realize. My motive for posting these doom and gloom OP articles.

Is to prevent unnecessary human suffering.

If the eurozone is broken, I would like people to acknowledge and fix it.

To prevent tragedies like the great depression and 2008 economic crisis from occurring again.

I hope that makes sense.

Unforuntaely there is no real way of fixing it. The EU is flawed from the start, the systems don't work and most importantly the system can't correct itself, because you need a 100% of the votes to change any EU treaties. And that is never going to happen, the countries are too divided to actually work together in harmony. The target 2 balances will likely never be solved, it's just part of the European transfer union.
4935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 10, 2020, 10:31:21 AM
The Macau gaming enterprise have reported that more than 60% of the Workers working in casinos have been Forced to take Unpaid leave.

The weird thing was : If the Worker have worked for too long the casinos takes them for granted and they are more likely to loose their payment.

Now 8% of them are thinking of switching to new jobs.

Now the steps taken  to tackle that :

That is really sad to read. I mean most companies have the same problem during the corona pandemic. Sales are bad and the companies might even need to close down their business due to the lockdown. But not paying their employee is wrong in my opinion. There will be a time after the pandemic and we need qualified employees than again. Everyone is hurting right now and it would be best if we spread the problems.
4936  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The US, weeks after the elections? on: November 10, 2020, 10:22:03 AM

3. Will Trump be that embittered not to attend the inauguration of Biden as the 46th president of the US?

4. Will his supporters (even those from the Christian community) take his defeat in good faith as what fate brought them and not go wild with rioting?

These two points are the most likely in my opinion. Trump's lawsuits will likely go nowhere so he has no real chance of fighting the election results. At the moment it seems that the republicans take the loss of the election pretty good. I didn't hear or read of any big riots against the elections. And after all the BLM protest I am sure most people would like some quiet time.
4937  Economy / Economics / Re: After elections end this year for all countries, we are all screwed on: November 10, 2020, 10:10:13 AM
It might not be as difficult as you thought. Though, each presidency with their unique way of ruling people and delivering campaigns promises. I just their would be changes but not certain about the amount of degree.
My concern is Btc pattern, I hope it doesn't repeat 2017 crash. It was all fine during October and November 2017 until December came in and then everything began to fall back. Election is over, no new cruise news Grin
Stay positive everyone, it can never be bad as 2020. We have seen enough.

I think we are in a better position than 2017, the bitcoin price is so strong at the moment that I don't see such a bit risk of a price drop. But even if the price would drop 20% we are still fine in my opinion. If we all keep believing in bitcoins there is no way the long term trend is not upwards.
4938  Other / Off-topic / Re: Give a man a fish or teach him how to fish on: November 10, 2020, 08:57:01 AM
if the man lives in a desert. where there are no lakes..
give the man a fish.
no point teaching him how to fish if there is no where to fish

if the man lives near a lake/ocean. teach a man to fish
no point someone else fishing for hours just to hand it to a guy. if he wants fish let him learn to get it

If a man lives in desert it would better to teach him other skills than fishing, but how would you get the fish into the desert? It's better to use local things than import from all around the world. Also if you give the man too often a fish you make him dependent on you.
4939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to "gamble" with ponzi scheme crypto scam services? on: November 10, 2020, 08:53:01 AM
I never really gambled in a ponzi scheme I think, I lost some money on fake online casinos a few years back. But I think they weren't ponzi schemes, they were outright scams. People can definitely make money on a ponzi scheme if they invest in the beginning and get out before the company goes bankrupt. In general I would advice against such gambles because you never know when the bubble is going to burst.
4940  Other / Off-topic / Re: The whole world is congratulating Joe Biden but China and Russia are silent. on: November 10, 2020, 08:18:22 AM
China like Russia say that it is premature to recognize Biden at this point, despite all major news channel  in USA have declared victory of Joe Biden. Both major world powers have adapted wait and see policy.

The relationship between China and USA is not the best, I would normally expect the Chinese government to be very happy for Biden to become president because he should be more open for trade relationships with China. But maybe this is just an act of the two countries and they play hard to get. After all Putin and Trump where kind of buddies.
