4961  Other / Meta / Can moderators be asked to close threads of banned accounts? on: June 10, 2021, 08:03:57 AM
Recently, I have come across many topics that have long lost their relevance, but the OP did not close the topic itself, due to its ban, but the topic remained alive.
Can we complain to the moderators that the messages that come after the warning that the OP is banned are low-level messages? The topic is no longer relevant and the person who asked will not read the answers, but people, without reading it, just post the same thing.
Or is it possible to make a second solution to warn the moderators to close the topic themselves?

Examples of similar topics:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5339370.msg57070726#msg57070726

No point of lecturing the OP anymore, hopefully s/he learns a lesson or two from what message will appear on his/her homepage of the forum. Smiley

There was a warning about the pointlessness of continuing to teach the OP. But the topic is still relevant.

Another topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5324112.msg56574193#msg56574193

Since OP got banned for plagiarism ( ironic considering he started this thread) he won't be able to answer your questions, but most obvious reason is ignorance. Anyway, @nullius already explained this issue earlier in the thread and root of the word "plagiarism"

We turn some topics into mega threads ourselves.
Do you think that after five pages, someone will read the entire history of the branch? Therefore, they will write the same thing there.

If people know that their messages can be deleted, then it will be unprofitable for them to write platitudes.

4963  Other / Meta / Re: This thing with the accounts' farming has to stop... on: June 09, 2021, 09:53:15 AM
Who in their right mind would want to be a merit source if you have to think few times before sending merit to someone, and how its going to be perceived.

I don’t want to post a new thread, so let me ask you how you would feel about a merit source that gives merit to explicitly farm accounts?
I know that you are well versed and can distinguish between alternate accounts, so I just suggest taking a look at this topic and see how the source of merit distributes the merit to Newbies.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5294824.40

Furthermore, I understand that the source of merit should not check every post for plagiarism, but the registration dates and the nicknames themselves indicate the link between the accounts.
I cannot yet prove that newcomers to this topic are breaking anything, but that this is a  farm, I think there is no doubt.
Now the question is, can we somehow influence this?
And if you pay attention, today those accounts are active that Merit's source awarded a merit in that topic. Did he give them a start in life?
4964  Economy / Reputation / Re: Forum made *Legendary Member on: June 09, 2021, 08:00:20 AM
Congratulations, you have reached this rank, excellent. Although, reading your story, from the very beginning you did not look like a newbie, as people who first come to this forum usually are.
Tell us about those good friends who dedicated you to all the rules of the forum. I ask this because, almost from the very beginning of your posting, you began to create quite extensive and high-quality posts and wrote many guides about the rules of the forum.
Although even today I see newcomers who competently teach everyone how to live on this forum.Smiley
Unfortunately, my path was not so beaten, and I did not immediately learn that ranks are of great importance here.
4965  Other / Meta / Re: This thing with the accounts' farming has to stop... on: June 09, 2021, 05:37:54 AM
I wouldn't really call it merit abuse, but maybe not the best way of using the merit.

If you're a merit source, it's abuse.

I disagree that this is abuse.  Here is an example where people thank the manager, although they are a source of merit.

There are many reasons why they might send merit to the manager. Good and stable company conduct and so on.
In addition, even if the sources of merit give credit to managers, the merits may belong to them.
4966  Other / Meta / Re: Where should i start? on: June 09, 2021, 05:13:28 AM

Thanks, this is very useful for me
It seems that if I want to improve my level, I can only insist on replying and posting, thank you. I will try my best to express valuable opinions to get merit

Why do many newbies from day one write in the meta about their appearance on the forum? Hooray, we are very happy!
The funniest and dumbest thing a newbie can do is post a thread on the first day of its appearance on the forum and start talking about a long-debated topic of merits.
Normal users who come here try to read the forum, and not be clever about the usefulness and all sorts of promises.
OP, this has already happened a thousand times, and not interesting, moreover annoying. Read more, write less. This will make you look smarter.
4967  Other / Meta / Re: A question about unsolicited PMs on: June 07, 2021, 03:41:00 PM
If there is anything I must like about this forum is for the fact that it connect people all over the world and it never segregate anyone. So for that reason i suggest unsolicited message should be welcome.

We all have different purpose of being here in the forum but it's sure that whatever purpose it shouldn't go outside the may reason why this forum is created. Remember this forum connect the global world together and we can all share idea and thought regarding bitcoin and other altcoin relatives issues. So some one may decide to send unsolicited message to anybody is so sure can help him fix a problem instead of overloading this forum with problem that can be resolve with us.

Why talk of forum upgrade when we quite fully know that the forum work efficiently without any traffic obstruction despite the large population of people that work here on daily basis. I urge we should think of something else that will benefits the forum than upgrade

I think the creators of this forum never made a mistake. They presume the future of it before launching it. I see no mistake or either an error. I suggest you study the operation of this forum because I feel you maybe finding it difficult because you're new in the platform. Soon you will get use to the forum.

I wonder what attracted the META theme lately, these two accounts?
Do you only own two accounts, or would you like to express your opinion on four more of your accounts?
Why can't you tell everything in one post?
4968  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2021 Q2) on: June 07, 2021, 09:40:55 AM

All your found accounts perfectly fit the "evade ban" rule. One of them is prohibited
I have previously filed a report on these accounts, so you can similarly submit a request to ban all of these accounts.

4969  Economy / Reputation / Re: Nutildah's bounty cheaters & ban evaders thread on: June 07, 2021, 09:14:46 AM
I can assume that their explanation will sound like it usually happens with similar accounts. They all communicate in any one telegram channel. One account  inna439, I meet on another Russian telegram channel, which is also dedicated to awards.
It belongs to a user of the Russian locale, who is very active in various awards.
There are also a lot of familiar nicknames, which I have repeatedly checked.
I will not argue, perhaps they are all much more cunning than we think.
4970  Other / Meta / Re: What Would Be Your Reason to Leave Bitcointalk? on: June 06, 2021, 06:25:11 AM
I never see reason that will make me to leave this forum and I don't pray for any reason of such because I have had a lot of the positive effect of this forum to many lives out there.

Huh, quite a bold statement.
Didn't you mix up your accounts? Newbie with two posts, already influencing many people on this forum?
Tell us your name, wizard?
4971  Other / Meta / Re: enquiry on: June 06, 2021, 06:18:15 AM
Somehow I doubt OP will grace us with his presence again.
He will definitely return, only with a different nickname.
4972  Other / Meta / Re: Elon Musk threads are moved to Off-topic ? on: June 05, 2021, 02:41:50 PM
It's time to start completely ignoring all of Elon's attacks. Today I also read your topic about changing the avatar. And as I wrote in my post, there is no need to be like a crowd of rams who blindly follow any mood of this person. It would be nice to add his name to the filter of words that will be tracked by the forum, and when the name is mentioned, the posts could be automatically deleted.
4973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin? Will Bitcoin be traded in all countries in 2025? on: June 05, 2021, 01:55:19 PM
Why are you interested in exactly 2025? Do you already know everything that will come before?
I did not know that if all countries accept Bitcoin, they will thereby lower the value of Bitcoin, and as you write, they will become even more advanced.
Bitcoin transactions can happen anywhere.
In general, you just had to write: "I am not accepted into the bounty, since I do not have any merits"
Everything else is an empty set of sentences.
4974  Economy / Reputation / Re: My 10 Year Bitcointalk Anniversary on: June 05, 2021, 01:23:06 PM
For 10 years of your presence at the forum, you have a rather interesting story. Some so many people trust you. And also, in contrast, there are quite famous people with whom, as we see, you have misunderstandings. What is the reason?
We can't always be good to everyone. We create our own opinion and reputation for all people. I respect you for always staying in the ranks. 10 years is a very long time. And it would be fair to call such people a truly "big legend" since many of the stories of this forum are behind you.
4975  Other / Meta / Re: enquiry on: June 05, 2021, 12:55:13 PM
Am a newbie, I need help and direction to progress on the platform

For you to have a direction, you first had to devote a little more to read the rules of the forum, and only then create topics in META. Of course, there are many friendly people here, but no one will lead you by the handle. Today, when looking at your three posts, I see two plagiarism, and one completely incomprehensible question.
What do you want to get from the forum?

4978  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon MusK Bullish again for bitcoin ? on: June 05, 2021, 08:19:28 AM
Anyone who closely follows Elon's avatars, or his tweets,  can easily equate themselves to the rather offensive word "crowd" or "herd".
It is very easy to control such people since there is always a leader, they give their brain, strength, and will into the hands of the one who influences them.
It is foolish to hope for sobering up the masses, and until the same or more influential person like Elon comes to the market, the "crowd effect" will react to every tweet and sneezing or farting of Musk. And Musk will continue to have fun, realizing what influence he has not on every person, but on the one who is in the crowd.
4979  Other / Meta / Re: Is it time to increase the Emojis ? on: June 04, 2021, 02:20:58 PM
Why offer only emoticons? This is also being deprecated. Today, animated stickers, are in vogue. Let's make the forum a Christmas tree. Wink
You can also change the rules, where replies to messages can be given with several emoticons or stickers.
In general, thanks to the OP for the raised question. It was quite interesting to read on Wikipedia and learn about the creation time and history of emoticons. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emoticon
Sometimes we get used to certain things and do not think about their origin. You can equate emoticons with an international language. After all, these cute faces are understandable to absolutely all peoples.

I do not know if this news was on other topics, but apparently, PayPal is going to allow the withdrawal of cryptocurrencies to third-party wallets. When it will not be specified yet, the idea is in development.
Although the fact that the holders of the cryptocurrency will be known is undeniable.
