4961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info Phishing warning on: May 16, 2017, 09:01:20 AM
I personally think that this thread better belongs in the "Service Discussion" section, you can move it from the bottom left corner.

But yes, this is generally a very big issue. Right now there are basically thousandsh of phishing emails being sent out to people's emails probably hacked from either bitcointalk database or some other database that was leaked.

Hopefully no one is dumb enough to click on any of them, your information will be compromised.

Thanks for letting us know.
4962  Economy / Economics / Re: Make money from money on: May 16, 2017, 08:49:22 AM
What are the features that a good investor should have? What are the characteristics of people who have enough capital and earn money from money?

What are the factors that make these people successful in their investments?

I think one of the features that an investor should have is the way to think ahead of what will happen. In engineering economy future profits and the lost considering the values of time and money you’ve invested the outcome can be calculated. But not everyone can learn engineering economy in a short amount of time. Think ahead and assume possibilities and be competitive.
As Warren Buffet said in investing:
"Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks."
"Opportunities come infrequently. When it rains gold, put out the bucket, not the thimble."
"If you aren't willing to own a stock for 10 years, don't even think about owning it for 10 minutes. Put together a portfolio of companies whose aggregate earnings march upward over the years, and so also will the portfolio's market value."
"It's far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than a fair company at a wonderful price."
Only when the tide goes out do you discover who's been swimming naked."
"Never invest in a business you cannot understand."
"Whether we're talking about socks or stocks, I like buying quality merchandise when it is marked down."
"Rule No. 1 is never lose money. Rule No. 2 is never forget Rule No. 1."
On buying individual stocks: "If you like spending six to eight hours per week working on investments, do it. If you don't, then dollar-cost average into index funds."

Quotes are from the google came from Warren Buffett
He is one of the richest man in the world and he work his way to the top because he is not that wealthy in the past. The lesson here is we have the resources the internet, we can seek advices on other people. We can buy books about business and read. The rub is on ourselves, through time we will learn all the mistakes along the way. Good luck

Yeah, I like Buffets's wisdoms

But people rarely understand their true insight and still less follow them. That piece about not investing into something which you don't understand is a genuine jewel which is applicable to almost everything in life, not just trading. In other words, don't get into a mess unless you know what it's about. People pour their money into altcoins without giving a second thought that they are the ones be left holding the bag for those who understand more

Indeed, I agree with everything you said.

I think that successful people usually don't look to the past performance but rather look into the future. People make millions and billions everyday by investing in startups that will almost certainly fail, but if you are not brave enough to invest in a startup in a first place becasue you think it's such a high risk investment, you'll never reap the profits when there is a startup that takes off.

And altcoin trading is a good example as well, people blindly follow the pumps. Same as startups, aim to invest before the hype. Buy the rumour, sell the news.

Sell place for signature.

Not a chance mate, your account post quality is extremely bad not even taking into account that you have multiple red feedbacks from trutsed DT users for opening a scam site.

Now you should have done your research before buying this account blindly, because now you're stuck with an account that is worthless in value and will probably give you a headache since nobody wants it. Although I doubt that you're the "new owner" to be honest.
4964  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin reach the $4000 mark this year ? on: May 15, 2017, 07:30:09 AM
Bitcoin price seems to be surging , investors seem to think that the price will surge to $4000 , In the US there seems to be negativity towards bitcoin on the securities and Exchange commission , what would create this surge ?

I think that it is always a good idea to keep out of the hype and right now I'd have to say that it is resembling a bubble at this point. But it might not burst yet, it could well go to $4,000 at which point it will certainly be a absolutely humungous bubble, and the burst.

I don't think it's likely though, to be honest.
4965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hold your Ripple XRP? on: May 15, 2017, 07:03:17 AM
I do think the price is a bit inflated as well.

i wouldn't call >3300% rise in 40 days as "a bit inflated" that is called a "big ass bubble" Cheesy
and in my experience whenever people are talking about "holding an altcoin" that usually is a good Que to start thinking about some exit strategy because the selling time is getting close.

I think this coin will change the speed for transactions for banks.. after a couple of years..
What do you think?

i think if banks want a faster transaction they will start their own internal blockchain system (which they are already doing) and not rely on another altcoin which they can not fully control.

Yes, you're right, I would say that it is a bubble.

However you have to look at the context, sometimes a pump isn't necessarily just a bubble. Even a coin which is pumped to 500%+ in a day might have very good reasons, for exmaple some sort of ownership change, going from beta to actual version of the software etc. But I agree with you, Ripple is seeming like a very big bubble right now, great time to sell tbh. But I'm not sure whether this is going to be the ATH yet... The craze might even continue for longer.
4966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hold your Ripple XRP? on: May 15, 2017, 06:54:33 AM
Will you hold your Ripple XRP?
It's now 2nd on coinmarketcap.

I think this coin will change the speed for transactions for banks.. after a couple of years..
What do you think?

Oh jeez, didn't think that Ripple would ever exceed Ethereum to be honest but it just did so... Guess I was wrong.

I would say that personally I can definitely see Ripple being used as an actual gateway to provide a transaction system for banks however I do think the price is a bit inflated as well. I would sell at least half my ripple for now and buy back later if there was to be a fall. Ripple has basically been rising since March and if you see the long term graphs you start to realise that this pump doesn't seem to be a very healthy one.
4967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Besides its speculation ,what is the real use of bitcoin ? on: May 15, 2017, 06:17:42 AM
Now the world is crazy about bitcoin!

We talk about its price ,its mining all day.

Besides its speculation ,what is the real use of bitcoin ?

Global payment processing dude, without the need of a central authority/controller or government.

freedom of your finances... not meaning it to say you'll have a shit load of money i mean it in the since that your money even if its just a little bit that you own is your money and cannot be denied to you or stolen from you buy an organziation or government because they control it. thats what it is to me. it gives me the freedom to do what i want with it and keep the nosy little shits from the government out of it.

on top of just that basic tier of things i like it should be noted that now wealthy governments cant steal the funds of poor governments who are using bitcoin as there currency meaning there might actually be hope for third world countries. bitcoin, to me, is the best currency there is. fiat currencies contain to me bs things that say certain people can come and take what you've worked your ass off for without any realistic cause or legitimate reason.
4968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used in space? on: May 15, 2017, 06:00:42 AM
Just curious, since the Internet is mostly an Earthly thing... would astronauts be able to access and transfer their Bitcoins whilst traveling throughout the solar system?

if our internet services could reach the outer points of our galaxy it would be amazingly interesting. like whats next? bitcoin value skyrockets because unknown froms of life calling themselves beeklooochtinpetoshi kind are joining the bitcoin network with 23 million new sign ups a day to buy bondage porn vids and tentacle hentai and also trying to figure out at the same exact time what the definition of blue waffle is? Cheesy

But on a more serious level that would take a technology that i don’t think mankind currently has. Both referring to having astronauts actually traveling the solar system and also having our internet services reach that far out. I mean it doesn't make sense to use bitcoin in space when there is no internet, right? Just use cash instead
4969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite casino game or slot? on: May 14, 2017, 08:57:23 AM
What is your favorite casino game to play or slot and why?

Great88, why? plenty of reasons... high payouts, amazing graphics, a variety of bonuses.
i have won 1000x bet multple times with the wild firecracker bonus after you get the red boxes..
ive won 600x bet on the golden cup bonus that also comes from boxes
i never gamble anywhere other then bitstarz with deposits so i dont know if its common elsewhere but if it is i cant seen why others wouldn't ♥ it too. what is your favorite? maybe you'll have an amazing suggestion that ill get addicted to xD.
reasons why someone might not like great88 is that the reels dont all stop at once when hitting stop button but i find it a good thing for my purposes.
also the dragons look awesome and the wild and gold cup bonuses graphics are stunning, just wanted to add that. Cheesy
tipsy tourist is my second fave cause of the badass free spins bonus with sticky wilds and the chance to get another 8 free spins on scatter hit within free spins... check those out as well.
4970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: a new strategy for dice (all or nothing or double or nothing!) on: May 14, 2017, 08:29:45 AM
Win or Die strategy!

disclaimers before everyone kills me here:
1. this is not a new strategy, i know. it is a new strategy that "I" am using today.
2. it is not supposed to be good, 100% win,... it is supposed to be fun and exhilarating Tongue
3. i am sharing it here for fun purposes because i believe gambling should all be about fun and nothing else.
4. i am using faucet, you can too. but it can also be done with bankroll or with any amount.

here it goes:
- i claim faucet
- starting amount is max faucet amount but it can be a portion of it to prevent waiting for timer.
- multiplier is on 2x
- on lose back to start (another faucet or other portion of the first faucet)
- (here is the twist) on win switch between hi and lo and click max amount again then roll

i think the strategy is called double or nothing or something like that.

i have had pretty good runs on switching between hi and lo before but never did all in with max amount. so this is also a new part for me.

if you tried this strategy, share how long you went and how much fun you had.

there may never be a winning 100% strategy, but ive used this method and it sure is one hell of an adrenaline rush... also very fun.

i wish casinos gave faucet money that could be used on slots lmao... if anyone knows of any let me know.

usually don't play dice but when i do it is 100% faucet money. ive found that even though you still have just about the same chances of losing on slots you can increase the win chance overall if you can get a grasp of the slots mechanics... for example fruit zen can lose all of 25 mbtc when only betting on min... 0.10 mbtc on bitstarz or some other sites 0.20 mbtc like you can sit and press the spin button let it finish spin on its own and you can have a 125 streak loss which at 0.10 mbtc is literally half of the original 25 mbtc and then hit like 5-6 small wins only paying out x5 to x20 your bet at most and then back to losing if you do not utilize then stop spin button... and the same applies for just randomly hitting it or trying to stop it on the symbol you want. but say im starting on fruit zen havent done a single spin and ive got only 5 mbtc (not 25 but 5mbtc) i start of by spinning and not stopping it... i win cool i repeat. i lose not cool but i repeat. once i repeat if i win or lose i still repeat. once i repeat if i win i repeat again but if i lose for the third spin in a row i hit the stop button right after first vertical line of symbols appear( on mobile) or right before any symbols appear( desktop) so i never let more then three losses occure in a row before hitting the stop button but remember if you dont lose then don't hit stop. if you win first roll but lose next 2 rolls play until youve lost three consecutive times before utilizing stop button. but once you utilize stop button make sure you wait for three consecutive losses again. while doing this ive lost 3/8 total bankroll used at fruit zen. your gonna lose when you gamble no matter what you do your not gonna win 100% of the time. so choose when to lose and when to win(or atleast try).

i can do it but i only send payments as service..pm me if interested
Sorry but I cannot find any feedbacks on your trust page indicating that you have done a paypal deal with more than 180 days passing. You can still file a chargeback after 180 days so...

I know it's a small amount but it's a hassle to go through all the disputes and stuff like that, best to be safe than sorry.
4972  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB $20 Paypal 1:1 preev rates, I have BTC on: May 14, 2017, 12:16:36 AM
Title says all, I want to buy $20 Paypal from a reputable member(don't bother if you are not trusted) at preev rates 1:1. You cover the paypal fees.

I can send first if you are trusted. If not we could use escrow but it doesn't really make sense for such a low amount.

PM me ASAP!!! Need this done fast.

Now the world is crazy about bitcoin!

Of course there are uses for bitcoin otherwise there wouldn't be this much speculation.

For example, even with the high transaction fees that bitcoin is having right now it is still cheaper to send bitcoin across borders than to send a bank transfer or even Perfectmoney, as they banks can charge outrageous fees and PM charges 2.9% on each transaction.

And also you avoid central authorities... Which is great.

4976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin becoming out of reach on Common Man on: May 13, 2017, 03:32:40 AM
Just see the bitcoin price climbing so high. 1900$ is a very high amount and not many people can now afford to buy a single bitcoin. Also those who are earning bitcoin will now get less bitcoins like before some pay you 10$ it was 0.01 and not it is just 0.005 (same 10$).

In short, Will bitcoin will only be in the hands of rich in near future ?

I think so. It's a bit like gold at the moment, if you are just the average Joe in the average country(mind you, USA has is quite above average in terms of wages), then there is pretty much no way you're going to be able to buy an ounce of gold simply because it's so hard to get so much funds.

It's impossible to save up small amounts right now with bitcoin because the tx fee for one transaction is like 0.00055 BTC, and that's economy rates. Not even priority rates.

Who cares? I don't & neither should any of you. We're all invested already or should be. We're some of the lucky people like the early .com investors in the www. Boom.

HODL what you own & reap the rewards in a few years.

It means that nobody new can get into bitcoin, at least big time. Especially in developing countries.
4977  Economy / Economics / Re: How to double your money using BTC? on: May 13, 2017, 03:19:09 AM
Here is a tutorial for dummies about doubling our money and not Bitcoins with scam scripts, remember no one has your best interest in heart to help you double your coins, however there is this thing we call it Bitcoin and indeed you can effectively double your fiat money with it.

But how?

-Simple, whatever you have buy Bitcoin(s) and deposit them in never before used addresses and forget about them for literally 6 long months/half a year.

-Tip: don't pay any attention to news and don't participate in crypto related forums and social medias, it will drive you crazy.

-Result: after 6 months and after your phone alarm went off since you set it to ring in calendar for exactly 180 days, open your browser and go to one of the reputable exchanges and look at the market price, if your fiat money wasn't doubled if you were to sell your Bitcoins then find me and kick my ass lol for bad advice.

Please refer to the Bitcoin price and charts to see if the price did or did not doubled every 6 months.

I can't find anything remotely similar to this can you? and if so please share with us.

It's all about the entry and exit points. There are certainly points in time when if you did invest your bitcoins and waited for 6 months you would have lost a ton of money, and there are risks. Especially now the price has peaked it seems unlikely that the price will go to $4000 just in 6 months.

Just to back up my claim: From December 2013 to May 2014 the bitcoin price went down by 60%. Not exactly double. But if you went into the market in November or October and exited April or March you would have made more than double. All about timing, can't just blindly say i'm going to leave my coins and go for 6 months.
4978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what price will you sell your BTC, and what will you buy? on: May 13, 2017, 02:58:20 AM
10k? 100k?

Personally, I'll cash out 10% at 5k and 10% at 10k and leave the rest to ride.

Seems like a good idea to me.

I'm definitely going to hold bitcoin for the long term but going to hedge against fluctuations as well. It's unwise to hold just a single asset as you don't know where bitcoin is going in the future - nobody knows. People say it'll always go up up and i agree with them although we have to prepare for the worst.

For me, $1,500 is the par price for bitcoin, i'd sell at $2,000-3,000, buy at $1,000.
4979  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of global population are using or have at least 1 satoshi? on: May 13, 2017, 02:44:23 AM
I wonder as of today how big or small is the penetration of BTC among the global population, in order to realise how much can the price of BTC can grow as more people is using it.

Does anyone know how many people or a % of the global population is using BTC???

It is quite impossible to analyse the total number of people using bitcoin because you can obviously create as many bitcoin wallets as you want to. So it's no use analysing how many active bitcoin addresses there are because it just doesn't make sense at all.

I'd say at least a million people use bitcoin, maybe even more.

That is a tiny figure compared to the whole population of course, but it's still a big improvement from a few years ago.
4980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP is a complete fraud GET OUT! on: May 13, 2017, 02:00:35 AM
After this realization I had to give up on Ripple completely, I sold my shares and am out of Ripple, I need a company that will go down with me and rise with me not one that rises no matter what while I fund them and I very likely may get screwed while they get successful. Open your eyes if you're investing in them.... you are investing in their XRP not Ripple as their employee quickly pointed out to me on twitter. Even regarding their block-chain technology big competitors are coming on the scene soon. The main point though is I need a company that will go down with me and rise with me not one that rises no matter what while I fund them and take all the risk. Why can a company I invest in be successful without me being successful as well, how is that even a possiblity!?! I'm out this is a complete scam and fraud it was obviously knowingly created that way.

DO NOT INVEST IN XRP

It's all a part of trading mate. Ripple certainly is being used by some banks and probably has more ties than central and commercial banks than most of the cryptocurrencies do(not that it's a good thing because cryptocurrencies are supposed to be anti central banking in the first place).

But there is certainly a lot of speculation, i would get out of ripple right now as well after the big pump. I don't think it's sustainable. It might not be the final pump yet but the final pump will come eventually and it will be followed by a dump(obviously).

But ripple isn't a scam. It's been #3 crypto for ages, and that's for a good reason.
