round 68

Please send 0.0007 bonus!

This was old bet..

I actually made this bet when I first saw the 0.0005 BTC bonus. However, I forgot to post the bet details because I didn't know that I had to... I asked and you said that it'll automatically be sent to my address afterwards.

It is my bad though because I didn't notice the OP contained such crucial information. Don't worry about $1.

5164  Economy / Services / Re: New Wajur.com Feedback Campaign! on: November 25, 2016, 05:27:23 AM
First one to post, do I get a bonus for being the courageous first person? Cheesy (Also do i need to provide an address for payment, or will you guys send to my wajur account?)
Nickname: Magneto

Feedback:

First of all, I LOVE the dark theme. Just so much different from the other casinos who usually go with a lighter or slicker theme. You get so much of that slickness that it becomes boring. Sometimes casinos go for the minimalist design, but it just becomes boring. I think that Wajur has a good balance between theme and simplicity. It is efficient but simple. I love it. Please don't change it.

Also, keep the no confirmation deposits. As a gambler I know that sometimes the urge to gamble is very strong and I would like to get the money credited to my account asap instead of waiting ages for the deposit - i believe that you are better off keeping that there than not. But do consider implementing blockcypher confidence scores. E.g. if the confidence score is less than 90% you ask people to wait for 1 confirmation, if not they can play instantly. Just to prepare yourself against no fee transactions or double spend attempts.

The thing that I noticed being negative was that you only had a few options when betting as to the amount - 0.27 mBTC, 0.54 mBTC, 1 something mBTC or 2 or so mBTC. I think that people would like to choose their own bet amounts, especially with such awkward amounts. If you want to go with fixed bet amounts only, considering adding the function of changing the value of each credit, so that people can actually choose to bet higher if they want to. Also consider changing the bet amounts to ones in decimal increments.

With the slots, maybe make it more interesting with bonus rounds or multiple lines. Right now it feels like you have a low chance of winning big, and with multiple lines it feels so much better to play with in my opinion. The plinko/stack 5 is great, however I think you should at least offer a few more choices for the gambler than only the 10/2/1/0/0/1/2/10 choice. Or even perhaps let the gambler choose their own combination, like Bitvest.

It seems like that you have gone with no chatrooms. However I'd say get one and build up the community and also the repeat customers. Create a gambling atmosphere and more people would come back.

A small faucet should also keep people busy when they are out of funds, and engage them with the chatbox. Consider also to get a referral campaign going to boost the amount of people playing, especially when you are starting out small.

Hope this review has some value to you guys, overall I can see that you guys have put a lot of work into the site. Keep it up Wink
5165  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: November 24, 2016, 06:54:40 AM
Paper money has absolutely no future. Even for the notorious fiat currency printers the governments across the world, paper currency is becoming extremely difficult to print on a large scale and is costing them lots to recycle, print, and manage counterfeits.

Even governments with little knowledge of digital payment gateways would know that digital currency is the way to go these days.
5166  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: play with ☆0.001☆ and get a bonus of 0.0005 instantly on: November 24, 2016, 06:53:14 AM
Could you please explain in a bit more detail since it is not clear what sort of bonus this is?

So if I bet 0.001 on either side I will be guaranteed to get 0.0005 to the address that I sent the coin from, whether I lose or not? Or is it a bonus bet that is added to your original bet and depends on the result?

Also, how many times may a person claim this giveaway? You said once a round, so that means forever till the giveaway ends?
5167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: November 24, 2016, 06:51:11 AM
I would never gamble if i was rich.

It is pretty simple logic - if I am rich, then that means I have at least some common sense that leaded to my success. Common sense tells me that people go broke everyday because of gambling and also house edge prevents me from winning.

From that I would conclude that I wouldn't want to get my wealth swept away, therefore I would not gamble.
5168  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: YoBit omitted my deposit on: November 23, 2016, 06:50:54 AM
What happened:
I've send 7290 SIB to my SIB deposit address SdJcTRxU7fEmsJfqBaYhHQwL8YPV1WiNck on YoBit five days ago. Their wallet was stucked and I've created a ticket so they quickly repaired it and said "7290.39200805 SIB deposit status>complete" but coins wasn't appeared. Then they said that my transaction was cancelled by the SIBcoin network (I believe that means that it wasn't included in a block). That's surely not true. For now, the coins are persisted on the deposit address but they weren't deposited to my yobit account.

Scammers:

Amount Scammed:
7290 SIB ($430)

Proof of Payment:
https://chain.sibcoin.net/en/address/SdJcTRxU7fEmsJfqBaYhHQwL8YPV1WiNck
The transaction "3a4c49d9d9d5e3c9396c20db3a13362b42c7bec081c4b13cb5664e156b2b6d0c" is my deposit transaction and the coins are now on that address.

PM/Chat Logs:
The screenshot where my deposit address may be observed:
Ticket (in russian then in english since I've missed what language they are replying):

Additional Notes:
Currently there's P&D while I can't sell that coins quickly.

Yobit is known for their trash customer support and also always putting wallets into maintenance mode or worse yet, putting them in active and online mode and eating your deposits. You have to be real lucky here if you were to get your coins back in a month. It'll probably take more than that though, if it ever gets solved.

In the meanwhile it is likely your altcoin value will go down, and Yobit will take a profit out of that. Pretty sure that's the game they are playing as they don't compensate you at all for your losses incurred during that period of waiting although it is their fault.

All the best for you sir.
5169  Economy / Reputation / Re: How to remove red negative trust ? on: November 22, 2016, 09:32:21 AM
Hello guys, I want to ask here about how to remove red mark Negative trust? because I was exposed to negative trust Sad Can red marks removed?  Sad

You can't remove it yourself but if the guy that sent you neg trust is willing to remove it at a later stage then you have definitely a chance to remove it from your profile Cheesy As Lauda already said if you are willing to stop what you are doing then he'll happily take that neg trust away. However if you don't follow through with your promise then i'm pretty sure that red paint is here to stay Undecided
5170  Economy / Lending / Re: [Need] 0.0075 BTC Returned 0.01 with collateral on: November 22, 2016, 06:47:16 AM
Edited: I need a loan again. Please check my OP Post. Thanks!

Like what monbux said, twitter account followers can easily been gotten from traffic exchange websites like youlikehits or addmefast. 500 isn't that much to get. Not worth that 0.01 BTC at all.

Your member account is worth next to nothing, maximum 0.0015 BTC.

So yeah, no valid collateral.
5171  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Actually owning bitcoin on: November 22, 2016, 06:40:01 AM
If you still need to move between Bitcoin and Fiat, you will unfortunately have to make use of third parties to do that. They link your bank account to their services and that way you can buy and sell Bitcoins and then have that converted to fiat and deposited into your banking account.

Most of us, use services like Localbitcoin or we just go to meetups, where we trade between fiat and Bitcoin directly. The only option to own Bitcoin, is when you have sole control or access to your Private Key. If you share that knowledge with other services or transfer it into a service where you do not have access to the private key, then you do not own it anymore. < strictly speaking >

Sorry for sounding like such a noob, but what does "Private Key" exactly entail? How do I find meetups? I just started delving, and am binging and obsessing.

https://www.bitaddress.org/

stand alone wallet software like bitcoin Core, manages these public / private keys for you.

but you can print them out.

public key( aka Bitcoin Address ) holds coins, you can share this address with anyone, and poeple can use that address to send coins to you

the private key is used to prove to the network that you own the public key, and there by allows you to move funds from that public key(bitcoin address) to another bitcoin address

its as simple as that.

use blockchain.info, it FEELS like a web-based wallet ( and in many ways it is ) BUT the private keys to that wallet a stored locally on your computer. no one not even blockchain.info has access to this private key. However, this key is on your computer and your computer itself can be compromised. for long term "cold storage" you want to print out a public private key pair as shown above.

keep asking questions
good luck!

If I were to buy a "Ledge Nano" or something of that nature (Cold-Storage), would that allow me to skip things like this?

If you are referring to skipping the part where you have to print out all your addresses, then yes. You can skip that with something like Ledger Nano or Trezor wallet. However, keep in mind that if you are only going to get a small amount of bitcoins you are not going to actually get a Trezor or ledger as it is completely irrevelevent and not worth it... You'll spend at least spend .1 BTC on a Trezor + shipping.

I'd recommend Blockchain.info for anything under 1 BTC... It is secure and fast, and a web wallet too.
5172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: November 22, 2016, 06:09:49 AM
Yeah the only reason behind gamblers is that they have small amount and they want quick winnings

There is no point in gambling when you dont really have the significant amount of bankroll. You might be lucky and turn atleast ten fold of your bankroll however if you start with only few cents or few dollars then even if you win then there is no reason for you to quit because the amount that you earned is still small

The bankroll required to have winnings assured is HUGE, and casinos always had a limit. With Bitcoin you can start from just a satoshi which is like nothing. Most of the time you need a sum of money that is likely impossible for you to own or to be allowed to bet. For example, with martingale it's impossible if you get over 20 losses.

There is never a bankroll minimum that you are always assured to have winnings. Even if you have 50 BTC you have a chance to lose all your money when you martingale with a base bet of 1 satoshi. If you run this over and over again eventually you are guaranteed to lose statistically speaking.

So basically, the more you allow your dice bot to win, the more likely you will lose Grin

-snip-

^Listen to this guy, he knows his shit Cheesy

Basically the ownership of bitcoin is only symbolised by whether you own the private key or not. With coinbase although you can sign messages from your previously used addresses it is impossible to directly have a claim to your bitcoin on the actual decentralized network.

Use bitaddress.org if you're advanced, however as you are a newbie, I recommend blockchain.info. It is easy to use and based on the base, but also allowing to have a claim to your own private key.

Don't worry, newbies should and are encouraged to ask questions on this forum. We bitcoin degenerates would be more than happy to help you out!

Hope this helps Cheesy

If you gamble only for fun purpose, then the small amount should be good enough to enjoy the games. But you aim to make money from these games then you may need a big bankroll to play for a longer time but this will not guaranty you that will win at the end. Only luck can help to bring you money in gambling.

Yeah definitely. I think that it is a smart idea to only gamble for the fun, and never for the profits. The only thing that differentiates investing and gambling is that the risks are unknown in investing as you can never predict what is going to happen in the future, but in gambling there is a fixed house edge that rules over every single roll you do in the casino.

Investing isn't addicting, but gambling is.
5175  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Actually owning bitcoin on: November 22, 2016, 06:00:48 AM
Hello!

Someone told me that if I purchase bitcoin from Coinbase that I didn't ACTUALLY own the bitcoin, but rather Coinbase owned it, and I just told them what to do with it?

I am new to this community and just seek clarification. How and where do I go about actually owning it?

Best,

Big Chocolate.

Well, what they really mean is that you don't really own the bitcoin, but rather Coinbase does. However, you have a claim against your bitcoins on Coinbase's company. So it's like a debt - coinbase owes you xx amount of bitcoin, and you can technically claim it from them any time. Sort of like a bank as well. You always have to consider whether or not the company is trustworthy enough to actually put money into it.

People consider this to be against the bitcoin's very principles, because bitcoin aims to build a trustless decentralized economy. In order to use coinbase's services first of all you have to trust the company. Coinbase is more like Paypal than a bitcoin company.
