4961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin maximalism: is it toxic or a good influence in bitcoin community ? on: October 04, 2018, 06:04:14 PM

Why bitcoin should not support pre-mined tokens or ICO use cases, better than other coins. If projects are legit then what would be the problem ?
Take a look to Komodo solution for example...

Because people don't want it. If there was enough support somebody would start to develop a solution but it's not happening because we don't need it. Altcoin markets are chaotic and premined tokens are usually scams or shitcoins like ripple. I wouldn't want bitcoin to turn into this.
4962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Crypto Documentary Shows How One Man with 1 Bitcoin Travels Around the World on: October 04, 2018, 06:00:59 PM
How can I believe this?  Can just one bitcoin sustain anyone to travel to eighteen different countries? I am sure that some monies were not mentioned here and I find this very difficult to believe. Did he also pay for feeding from the one bitcoin? That is less than $7000.

This was already answered in the thread. Read the previous posts before you ask the same question again.
He ate the cheapest meals he could find.

1BTC is quite a lot of money. If you wanted to travel around Europe it wouldn't even cost you 1000 USD to visit each country by train. Cheap hotels cost you less than $50 a night and if you set your journey right you can sleep on the train or plane and have a whole day to walk around your new location.
4963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be sent, received or traded (used) without the internet? on: October 03, 2018, 06:28:29 PM
I think your question once again exposes one of the big weakness of cryptocurrency. It is generally called digital currency because it involves usage with internet gadget. However, it is even better that the receiver need not be connected to the internet to facilitate the transaction. It would have been nice if there was an option of internet usage and manually. Maybe internet being for faster transaction and manual for those who don't mind waiting  Roll Eyes

I don't see it as a weakness. The Internet is everywhere and without it the world would probably plunge into chaos. Think about all those social media addicts not being able to log in, people unable to send email, millions of companies unable to work, what would happen to the richest people in the world who built their fortunes on computer software and online stores? The Internet is here to stay.
4964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds for Conor McGregor Khabib Nurmagomedov at www.Vio88.com & www.VioPoker.com on: September 30, 2018, 07:32:12 PM

So you are Team Khabib .... What about the Mighty Left hand of Conor ?  ))

The problem with Conor is that he's a good striker but an average ground fighter, while Khabib is unbeatable on the ground. If Conor manages to get some good hits early on he can win but if he doesn't it's going to end bad for him. I saw his ground defense against much weaker opponents than Khabib like Mendes and he was struggling and allowing himself to be taken down to the ground with ease. If he allows Khabib for that he'll lose.
4965  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-09-30]Bitcoin Bullish or Bearish as Weekend Ends? Is a Bull Run Imminent? on: September 30, 2018, 07:21:45 PM
I find it funny that those journalist traders especially the one on Coindesk are always wrong. When they're saying that we're forming a bullish pattern bitcoin goes down and when they're saying that we're in a dire situation the market doesn't care and goes up. If you want to follow the price do it by yourself don't follow them.
4966  Economy / Economics / Re: Why anyone who invests 5,000$ now in bitcoin will be millionaire by 2025 on: September 30, 2018, 07:16:17 PM
In my opinion. we don't have to invest in large amounts. we can invest according to our economic conditions. and in my opinion, we don't need to wait until 2025 to become a millionaire, because the price of the crypto currency can rise at any time and can drop at any time. so that we cannot predict, if we invest then in 2025 will be a millionaire.

The difference between investing small and a lot is only in the time that will have to pass before you can call yourself a millionaire. There's not enough bitcoins for every person in the world, they will have to divide every coin into satoshis. Even if you buy 1 bitcoin you will become rich at some point.
4967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the worst thing you have heard about bitcoin on: September 30, 2018, 07:13:06 PM
The worst thing or the most retarded thing. I think that the biggest insult is calling it a ponzi scheme. It's not even that bad as it is ignorant.
The most retarded thing in my opinion is calling it the money of the terrorists. We all know that terrorists use all currencies and the more acceptance they have the better. Bitcoin's acceptance is still too low to compete with USD thus USD is the preferred currency of all criminals.
4968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM Machine in Nigeria. on: September 30, 2018, 07:10:08 PM
I find this very hard to believe that there are bitcoin atm in nigeria and this is my reason that country is underdeveloped and the technology system has no such upgrade to handle such much more time will be needed for that to function properly in that country

Because there is none. If you google it there are no active ATMs in Nigeria at the moment. There are ways to exchange Bitcoin but still no ATMs.
https://coinatmradar.com/country/156/bitcoin-atm-nigeria/

If I was a merchant there i'd be afraid to invest 10000 USD in a machine that can be stolen the next day by some gang. Nigeria is not the safest place if you're wealthy or want to start a business.
4969  Economy / Economics / Re: "Study" Shows Ethereum is More Decentralized Than Bitcoin on: September 30, 2018, 06:08:01 PM
Nope, Actually ethereum is an altcoin or alternative cryptocurrency and it is the substitute decentralized than bitcoin , Because ethereum sometimes the price of it getting lower or more than of it is than bitcoin that is really a decentralized that can more efficient than ethereum.

An altcoin can be more or less decentralized than Bitcoin. It doesn't matter that it's not the first and the most popular cryptocurrency. I don't know how you came up with that.
Also, altcoins arent substitutes of Bitcoin. They are alternatives which means different variants.

privcy

An important announcement this is a scam campaign guys don't join in this.

As long as this is not escrowed you should not wear the signature. Note that if you add the signature it appears under all your previous posts giving OP and his projects free exposure and you get nothing. Apply without using their signature and wait for the funds to be confirmed. Don't help scammers!
4971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which casino game gives you the best odds of winning? on: September 30, 2018, 05:43:59 PM
How about Dice? It's one of the most popular games and I thought people can make solid money on that.
If you like dice try yolodice from my signature. It's a good casino that I can vouch for.

Poker is the best for me, it's true that we gamble to win, including me. But when I play poker I don't really think about it, because I like poker and I enjoy it. Cheesy

It's the same for me but it tends to work when I play against people at my level. If I get to play against semi pros it always ends badly. So, poker is great if you're good at it but there's always someone better and then you lose.
4972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling addiction a disease? on: September 30, 2018, 05:42:37 PM
It is a condition and not a disease. A disease is where harmful organisms affects your body in a negative way. Gambling addiction also affects you bad but it is only in the mind but you can defeat it by having a string support from your loved ones and also with a good discipline.

When a person get addicted to gambling it can be both physical and mentally as well. Because if mentally he is disturbed then physically he will also get effected in the long run and this addiction is something which will take your money away as well from you.

You don't understand the definition. If a disease affects you mentally and your constantly in a bad mood it doesn't turn it into an addiction. This works both ways if an addiction drains you physically it doesn't turn into a disease. It's still an addiction with additional effects that appear over time. Don't try to make your own definitions, there's already enough of them.
4973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 10 years anniversary, what good news are you expecting come 2019?. on: September 30, 2018, 05:26:50 PM
What I'm looking forward the most is acceptance by every small next door merchant. I don't need it to be the next world currency but i would like to see it as payment option next to cash, visa and others.
What i'm expecting is an approved ETF. We don't need it that much but it will happen in 2019.
4974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Imagine a world where Bitcoin will be used as a primary payment option on: September 30, 2018, 05:23:40 PM
I can imagine it and it's not a very distant future. Remember that we went from calculators that filled a whole room to pocket computers in 50 years. We needed even less time to go from old analog wired phones to small cellular phones. It won't take too much time before we go from credit cards to cryptocurrency payments.
4975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin bring an end to Paypal? on: September 30, 2018, 05:10:27 PM
Paypal partnered with Bitcoin. Now paypal has lost 57 million users

Are you retarded? Is this your site?
I'll add a quote so that people won't say that i'm calling you names for no reason.

Quote
It is advisable to withdraw your money from Paypal and Bitcoin because FBI will most likely raid paypal and Bitcoin and they will seize both of them for investigations for one year. Paypal had lost 25% of its users before the news came out that terror group ISIS's Bitcoin account has $3 million.

You should really educate yourself before you start making things up and spreading lies.
4976  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Give your opinion about the current market and future on: September 30, 2018, 05:04:47 PM
The market today is quite stable and Bitcoin closed above the $6,550 zone and rebounded to $6,630. And Ripple has taken over Ethereum on three occassions in 2018, these means ripple have a chance to grow more because of current events happened. I think need to buy some coin like Ripple, Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Ripple is based on speculation not on adoption and use. Do you know any cases of merchants accepting it? Have you ever bought something with ripple or paid someone?
Ripple attracts people because they like pump and dump schemes just like they like HYIPS and ponzis.

Current market is in the early stage of recovery. We're going to go up in the next 6 months.
4977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: September 29, 2018, 08:00:14 PM
I know some addicted gamblers and most of them got hooked by the things that look the safest and most neutral: the machines. Some of my childhood friends were playing coin pushers and other arcade machines all day. Some got hooked by slots and ended up sitting all day in front of a machine pressing buttons and drinking beer. Those machines won't get you drained fast. It takes months, even years. Looking at them slowly going down to the bottom is very depressing.
4978  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear time is near to end on: September 29, 2018, 07:41:36 PM
you are right , the Bulls are coming
They were here all the time. It's just that there was the same or higher number of bears.
I could start with a theory that bulls and bears were at even numbers but certain individuals like the Gox trustee sold so many coins that bulls were not able to buy them in such a short period of time. Most of us don't know what is happening behind the scene. There may be a lot of bulls but it's enough that 1 person holding more than 1000 BTC decides it time to go shopping and we're going down.
4979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you mine or do you bake? on: September 29, 2018, 07:35:34 PM
I started Bitcoin mining in 2011 with my Radeon HD 6870, the reference card for Bitcoin mining.
I have never mined continuously and finally stopped mining altogether in 2013.
And now I'm a full time baker 24/7/365 and do not hold BTC any more.

You don't hold BTC? Blasphemy!

I don't mine and I don't bake, but if I were to choose I'd probably choose PoS. I know that PoW is a stronger and safer system but most people can't afford to put a 10kW unit in their apartment. PoW really limits our ability to get involved. To stake you only have to invest some money. To mine you need a suitable location with cheap power and time to watch over the operation.
4980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi. What did he found to create something like bitcoin? on: September 29, 2018, 06:44:51 PM

So why the sudden disappearance?

There are many theories. One of them is that he died. Perhaps in a tsunami? Many people died in various accidents at the time when Satoshi disappeared.
Maybe he saw it growing and got scared that some people might want to shut him down.

Frankly, the reasons other people above me gave are enough. If I could take some power away from the governments and banks and give it to the people I'd do it without hesitation.
