4981  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful using QR code to send Bitcoin on: April 02, 2020, 04:50:42 AM
It's why I never use QR code or Copy-paste Bitcoin address. Better to type one by one although can spend a bit times to write and check address multiple times to confirm it. Don't be too lazy if you want be more safe.

Lmao, how about copy paste and check address again? You will make even more mistakes if you write one by one.
4982  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Browser to access bitcointalk on: April 02, 2020, 04:46:20 AM
The worst browser you can ever think of using is opera mini or uc browser. This two browser has loading problem of btt. I highly recommend chrome and Firefox to access btt fully

Opera is okay, however uc I agree with, if you are privacy conscious you should stay miles away from it.

They are taking 4% more than the price for vouchers. Checked the price of buying a 5000 voucher and noticed I had to pay Rs. 5200 for the same. It's obvious this would happen as they take into account volatility too but it ends up being too expensive.

It's good for times when you are kinda stuck, also paying via LN gives you 2% discount. This can be nice saving when buying good amount of vouchers.
4984  Local / India / Re: Living on Crypto in India — A real life scenario on: March 31, 2020, 05:10:30 AM
is this service exclusive to India or also present for other countries?

It's worldwide (some countries are exception like NK), but works in most of countries. You can change country on homepage and also paying via LN gives 2% discount.

I use kiwi on android, just cause it supports extensions, and we have many.

For desktop you can use literally any.

(wow, that rhymes well)
4986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: March 29, 2020, 06:57:16 AM
Esports is still viable, of course not huge events are happening but it's less affected than other 'physical' sports.

By esports, you mean what exactly? Dota2, Counter Strike? LoL? Fifa maybe? Do you think millions of people will sit down and watch fifa 20 tournaments just because they have nothing else to do? It is not the same thing as watching real people. Esports is not viable at all. It is mostly for geeks and children. Maybe it will change in time but not now

Just because you don't like esports, doesn't mean no one else like it either. Your comment sounds ignorant.
4987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: March 29, 2020, 05:59:29 AM
I have been active and holding on steem since it's inception (2016).
4988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non-transferable ETH tokens? on: March 29, 2020, 03:10:53 AM
Many ICOs lock their tokens until certain conditions are met, so I assume your need also can be coded through smart contracts although I'm not completely sure.
This is not done by a large number of projects. as a rule, all these projects are just scam. I have tokens that announced swap tokens to others and gave it just a week to do it. I did not follow all the news of the project and skipped this information. I found out about it in a month and then they said that I just lost an opportunity to do it. now I have lost $ 1,500 tokens and they are dead on my wallet

I do agree that 1 week is very short time, but at the same time if you hold some coin/token it's your responsibilty to stay up to date with project happenings.

1) Well, I received a one good project last year in august, and is still running.

4992  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: OTC Market in India on: March 28, 2020, 04:30:36 AM
Tbh this looks shady to me, 'bharat ki Bitcoin app" meanwhile all screenshots given on play store listing shows nothing relevant to India — country code, payment modes, people names.

Seems like a copy cat of some other countries trading app.

Bdx coin, what's that?

Vague app description, typos everywhere including on website.

Edit: telegram link given on website don't work.

4993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hive: The New Steem Community Hard Fork...Thoughts? on: March 26, 2020, 04:18:04 AM
It will be better if OP contained the link about some information regarding this issue.

It's all over steem, or give a Google search many crypto outlets have covered it.

Quote
I know steemit and I get an account there, but since there is only a few member who active so I decided to came out and never log in again.

Tbh feels like you know nothing about steem, and just made this post for your signature bounty, try to make posts in threads where you are really interested.
4994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty alone is not enough on: March 26, 2020, 04:11:11 AM
I feel the only worthy bounty that helps project is content creation, other than that everything else is just 0 worth.

Also, BMs should have strict guidelines and only accept worthy content. Many just copy paste from wp and what not.
4995  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Ledger Live fake Chrome extensions on: March 25, 2020, 03:43:19 AM
Haha, and months ago when I tried telling someone that Google is still not taking the advertisement check seriously before they let advertisers publish an ad, I was met with "they actually do!". They don't do shit.

They probably don't give a F cause they get revenue by selling ads, one should never click on ads anyway.

4996  Other / Meta / Re: Rank up on: March 25, 2020, 03:30:59 AM
I spend my smerits as soon as I get them, if you think your posts/topics are good enough and are not getting enough 'merit' attention, try to participate in merit giveaways. They can give you a good headstart.

4998  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another question from newbie- bank transfer scam on: March 24, 2020, 03:32:00 AM
Unfortunately, some people get scammed to these low life scumbags, then they use those stolen bank accounts to transfer money to you.

Scammer would win once they have received the Bitcoins irrespective of what happens next between original account holder and seller.

MakerDao was on verge of shutting down with ethereum's recent flat crash, these stable coins are not 'stable' as we think.
