Lakers and Nets both got slaughtered tonight. No starters for the Lakers played so that’s to be expected. Durant had himself a good night but no minutes for Kyrie. Ben Simmons looks like a guy who hasn’t played basketball in over a year. I don’t know what it is about the 76ers but whatever they did to Fultz and Simmons should be studied by therapists.

Very good idea 💡💡
And I am support it NastyFan

Thanks for the support. You don’t need to leave any details or anything like that. It’s sort of tongue in cheek that this thread continues to exist. Don’t get me wrong, NastyFans is great, but there’s little reason for random people to wear the signature as there are no payouts.

Woah, this is something new and I thought that there won't be any issue like this as it seems they have good chemistry in the team. Well, this isn't a good sign for the Warriors if one of them is acting like he's full of himself.
It's possible that they'll trade him later but with a better value since he's shown good performance during the finals. We'll see how they'll mend this ruckus that Poole has made.
The warriors team players have a little misunderstanding but all will be sorted out. Jordan Poole who thinks he's bigger than some players, no doubt he's good on the court but he needs to be mute interms of dealing with his teammates, not getting into argument with them will ease the smooth flow of the team and a good working communication. These young players wants to gain big position in the warriors team and targeting at their earnings to top up.

The team is punishing Draymond and Draymond came out and acknowledged that he was wrong. I think the big 3 feel like these new guys are eating off their success and not giving them the respect they deserve, which is understandable. Still, with Jordan Poole negotiating an extension, this is a bad time to be making waves. I’m sure there will not be a no trade clause in that extension…

So much love in this thread. Reading back and seeing the folks who helped build something together brings a warm feeling to my heart. Some people still even have the signatures! Likely because they aren’t active anymore but I’ll take it! Bumping because I mentioned this in another thread and it seemed the thing to do. Plus, not all of us are still rocking free signatures.  Cheesy

In the event that people wanted a signature to wear for free of a long running, trustworthy, and awesome community organization, such a thing has existed a long time (although could probably use an update). I present to you the NastyFans No-Pay Signature Campaign: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=767863.0

Feel free to use the signature, rip off the code for your own signature campaign, or use it in any other way that makes you happy.  Smiley
4986  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of the Brand New user with posts on: October 06, 2022, 10:30:06 PM
Any idea why this user did not rank up to Newbie or why his posts can not be seen on the forum?
Maybe all of the posts were moved to trashcan. This means technically the posts are not deleted but as regular users we can not see them. Since they are in trashcan, perhaps that's the reason the activity did not count to.

These are my bold guesses LOL
Looking at the trust feedback it's obvious who the account holder is, especially when the feedback were coming from NotATether, Foxpup, and dkbit98

Not bad guesses. Personally, I’d guess something a little more exciting. Maybe it’s satoshi coming back and he wanted to start not just from the bottom, but below the bottom. I fully expect to see this account sign with satoshi’s keys in the near future just to give away a million BTC to users of this forum, then make back all million BTC publicly just to disappear again.
4987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mexico is the next El Salvador? on: October 06, 2022, 06:04:01 PM
We all know that El Salvador is already using Bitcoin as legal tender officially and there is already a lot of good feedback from it, there are already some people visiting or migrating to El Salvador because of Bitcoin being a legal tender, but on the other hand, there are still some people criticizing it and talking negative things about El Salvador's decision.

So now, Mexico seems started to take a look at this case too, using Bitcoin as a legal tender in their country.
Mexico got 128million population right now and El Salvador got around 7 million population according to Google.
It seems this will be a very big win for the Bitcoin community once will be implemented.

What are your thoughts about this?

Mexico is much more susceptible to political pressure than El Salvador.  Even El Salvador was receiving a lot of urging to step away from Bitcoin.  I imagine Mexico would find a lot of issues with trying to go the El Salvador route.  They are much more easily punished financially than El Salvador.  With all of the issues Mexico is facing, even with El Salvador's imminent success, I think they aren't ready to be the next one to go to Bitcoin.  More likely in my opinion is that smaller countries more distanced from the dollar will be next up.  I'm thinking countries in Africa or possibly more small South American countries.
4988  Economy / Speculation / Re: Terra cofounder Do Kwon is the one who is pumping Bitcoin on: October 06, 2022, 06:00:31 PM
However, Do Kwon denies that the funds frozen on the accounts of Kucoin and OKEx belong to him, I wonder what he does if he doesn't even have time to trade, and he doesn't have accounts on these exchanges, it would be surprising if he recognized these funds as his own.

Of course he's going to say that...  I'm sure the funds belonged to whatever bad guy was helping him launder his money and now that their funds are frozen they're probably searching for Do Kwon along with the rest of the world.  If he doesn't turn himself in sometime in the next two weeks, the charges against him will start to build up and he'll find himself getting forcefully arrested at gunpoint.  I think it's safe to say that by Halloween he will either be in jail, or no longer able to claim that he isn't a criminal on the run from the law.
4989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 06, 2022, 05:57:02 PM
Definitely some trouble brewing in the Warriors training camp.  Draymond Green and Jordan Poole had a fight yesterday because Jordan Poole scored on Draymond in a scrimmage and then called him a "triple single."  Meaning he doesn't get double digits in any stats during a game.  An interview with Klay Thompson after winning a 3 point contest (against Steph and Poole) had him saying the best part of the win was to "humble Jordan Poole."  When Jordan Poole then interrupted the interview with his own microphone, Klay said that Poole was coming for the reporters' jobs too.  I think it's pretty clear the Warriors are getting frustrated with the young guys wanting a piece of the pie.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Warriors signed Poole to an extension just to make him a more valuable trading piece.
4990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 06, 2022, 07:29:08 AM
Kendrick Nunn looked great today for the Lakers in their game against the Suns. He was the missing piece last year and healthy he’s a great addition. He shot 8 for 13 and 4 for 7 from 3 point range to get 21 points. I think LeBron is going to love passing the ball out to him this year. If AD can stay healthy I think they have a shot.
4991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crash Incoming? on: October 05, 2022, 09:34:45 PM
It's starting to feel more and more like we aren't going to see a big crash.  Mining profitability is starting to creep back (not quite there yet) and we're passing through the danger zone as far as the 4 year Bitcoin cycle is concerned.  It wouldn't surprise me to see a rally here where pretty much the entire market jumps up 50%.  I think the only thing that's holding everything back at the moment is capitulation from miners who are throwing in the towel and the big unknown of what will happen when the mtgox coins hit the market.

Fun game by the New Orleans Pelicans versus the Chicago Bulls.
The bench players' performance in the last quarter of the game made it look like it was a regular season.  Cheesy
NOP 129 - Bulls 125

The Pelicans look great, and Zion looks good (I can't tell if some weight was lost). They are a solid team and their bench looks promising too with Willy Hernangomez who won the Fiba Eurobasket MVP.
If healthy, I think they have a great chance to make a top seed. They will probably be one of the favorites this season.

I don't usually watch pre-season games because they aren't serious games. But I'm also excited at how the healthy Pelicans will end up this season. Their line-up is already good so all they need now is to perform well. I heard that Zion is on a seafood diet. Hopefully, it's not a giant octopus or tuna per meal. Cheesy

Yes, Zion losing weight is one of the biggest story this season. I think he listens to Barkley's criticism that he needs to lose up that belly, and in the end it will really benefit him and his team. They have a solid line up right now that is playoff bound with him and CJ in the side.

Not only with Barkley's criticism, but he listened to everyone's suggestion that he should lose some weight to unlock his full potential. Some people might have been starting to hate the kid for becoming so fragile after reaching the NBA, but I still believe he's not a bust and he'll eventually live up to the hype he once have after the draft night.
Hoping for him to bounce back and be as durable as LeBron.

I think he is not a bust, still very young although he was out last year, he still has a lot of potential to be the next face of the NBA like Giannis before him. And it's good that the kid listens to every critics of his, like Sir Charles and the rest of the basketball fans and analyst. And so with that new bod, for sure we will see a lot of improvement, he has the moves already and the shooting touch outside, he just need to be consistent and not injury prone and we wish we can see him play full season.

Definitely not a bust.  That's ridiculous.  When he's healthy he's one of the most if not the most dominant player in the NBA...

A lot of preseason games today but none on cable TV so I won't be able to watch any.  The only one that really seems interesting is the Lakers/Suns.  Tomorrow has a couple of good games though.  Heat/Nets should be a good one as we get another look at the Kyrie/KD/Simmons lineup.  Then on ESPN you have the Lakers and Timberwolves.  That one I will probably try to catch some of.  Smiley
4994  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining BTC with gpu on: October 05, 2022, 09:25:45 PM
you can not directly mine btc with a gpu.

you need to point a gpu to nicehash

mine eth or etc and convert the coins mined to btc.

a gpu will do maybe 1gh and use 200 watts

a usb stick from sidehack will do 300gh and use 10-15 watts

basically 6000x better than direct gpu mining of btc

it is what it is so go to nicehash and mine eth or etc and convert to btc

or trade the gpu for a usb stick from sidehack

I'm glad that you went on to explain that it is possible to mine bitcoins with a GPU.  It always bugs me when people say it isn't possible, when it most definitely is.  Is it profitable?  That's a whole other story.  Even if BTC went to a million it would probably be a losing venture to mine with a GPU.  If you're feeling like the luckiest man on earth, you could solo mine BTC with a GPU and hope to hit a block.  If you were able to beat the odds and make it happen, you'd be legendary.  I'm sure you'd be much better off buying lottery tickets though.
4995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 Bitcoin Halving - What are Your Expectations!!! on: October 05, 2022, 09:22:09 PM
I think the halving will likely be a somewhat non-event as usual.  Sure, we'll probably see a runup in price beforehand and a selloff once it's done as people buy the rumor and sell the news (as if it weren't already locked in).  The real fireworks will probably happen when the rubber hits the road in 2025 though and the cut supply starts really being felt by the market.  I'm expecting summer of '25 to probably bring us the 6 figure Bitcoin we've been waiting for.  If it doesn't hit at least $85K I can say that I will be disappointed.
4996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happens to Our Bitcoin and Other Assets If We Die? on: October 05, 2022, 06:06:38 PM
Hello guys just don't get me wrong. As we all know that one day we have to die. So for this I was wondering that if we have at east 1 million dollars in cryptocurrency or just couple of buck like me  Grin and nobody in our family and also friends do not know anything than what should be the possibility.
I think that's the reason still there are millions of BTC that are still missing cause of lost key or dead Bitcoin holders too.
I think we should at least make backup  file and should transfer in Bank Safe so that when they receive than they know how to retrieve it.

When someone dies there is no doubt that things in crypto get lost.  I'm sure we all put in effort to make sure that those who love us would be able to recover certain stashes, I seriously doubt that anyone would be able to recover everything in the event of my death.  I'm not even sure if I know all the different coins and NFTs I've owned on different chains, not to mention airdrops, etc.  This is definitely one of the problems with crypto, but it's also a reason to be bullish as market caps don't take into account lost coins.  I'm not sure how this problem could be solved without biometrics, but I'm not sure anyone really cares.  That's the survival of the fittest attitude.
4997  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN]Stake.com NEW SIGN CAMPAIGN l UP TO $160/WEEK l 30+ HERO & LEG SPOTS OPEN on: October 05, 2022, 06:00:10 PM
Week 97 Payment Sent

So, as I mentioned yesterday, I had to take a few days off due to major issues but I am back and there a few things I want to point:
  • Our campaign was designed to have 100 members but we had to make some changes and our current cap is 80. As I am writing this post, the campaign is almost full, which means that from now on we will pay even more attention to new applications. It also means that people that are currently in the campaign but keep only the minimum rating to stay in it (which means a rating of 5/10) will start to be replaced as fast as new good posters start to apply.
  • We are open for special deals with well known forum members (but I have to say that I am sorry but if our team doesnt know you it means you are not well known enough), Donators & Staff members. If you belong to any of these categories, please drop me a message with how much you expect to be paid. We will check each case with a special attention.
  • Last but not least, we are aware that tomos81 is messaging some forum members pretending to be the new campaign manager, which is not true. He was just an old campaign member that left a few weeks ago (to be honest, no idea if he was kicked or left himself) but he was never even close to be in the management team. I would leave him a negative trust but while talking to him he kinda convinced me that it was a lack of communication due to his "poor english skills". If that is the truth or not, I have no idea, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt so I am here begging for you guys to drop me a message on Telegram or even here on Forum in case he drops to anyone any message pretending to be Stake Campaign manager from today on.

Very cool.  I love that this campaign continues to grow and give back to it's members.  I can't say I've seen other campaigns give raises to their participants.  It shows that Stake is having a great deal of success and willing to share it with those who put in effort to help make that possible.  With other advertising outlets being removed by centralized services, it's great to see them putting more attention in here.  Amazing that this campaign is nearing 100 weeks of payments as well.  Great accomplishment.

It's worth noting that the Pelicans were able to reach the first round of the playoffs last season without Zion. So the current Pelicans roster definitely has good potential, and it will be interesting to watch how they perform this season. However, I wouldn't call them favorites because there are many other teams that look stronger than the Pelicans.

Not only did they do it without Zion last year, but they didn't have CJ for a majority of the year as well.  I'm sure they'll make the playoffs this year and if Zion can stay healthy I could see them getting through a round or two.  They looked great.  Especially Jaxson Hayes & Willy Hernangómez.  Zion looked faster than ever though.  He's easily lost 75lbs since some of the offseason pictures of him floating around and he's the lightest and most in shape he's ever been.  That quick baseline dunk was a flash at what he's capable of.  This is going to be a great year for the Pelicans.  When Ingram gets back this team will be tough to match up against.
4999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anderson Silva vs Jake paul who you bet on? on: October 05, 2022, 05:43:51 PM
I probably won't bet this fight because I have no idea who will win.  Anderson Silva is clearly the better and more established fighter, but he's old...  Jake has age and likely supplements on his side, so for me this is a risky fight for Anderson Silva while also being one hell of a payday.  I can see why he didn't want to turn this fight down.  Win or lose I suspect it'll be the last time he enters the ring.  Personally, I'd like to see Jake get knocked out and I'd hate to see Anderson Silva get knocked out, so I probably have too much emotion on the line to add money to it.  I'll watch the fight though and hope for the best.  Old man power better be on display.
5000  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk makes offer to buy Twitter on: October 05, 2022, 05:41:28 PM
The question for me now is if Tesla stock is done being sold off to make this purchase.  Tesla stock has seen some dramatic drops in the last week, with the likely reason being Elon selling off more shares to make sure he can finance his Twitter purchase while also making sure he has the funds to survive the coming economic calamity.  If he is done selling, this could be a Tesla buying opportunity, but if he's planning to sell more, obviously it's best to wait until he's finished.  He's said multiple times now that he was done selling, but I don't believe that and think he's the reason behind the drops this week.  I guess we'll find out soon enough, but for now it's looking like possibly a decent entry point.
