4981  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is down a lot on: January 22, 2021, 10:29:06 AM
If you see bitcoin's price dropped that "much" now then maybe investing on this asset is not for you. What happens now is normal so some buyers can take their profit. And an opportunity for some to buy at a lower price.
If you experienced the hype way back 2017, after that year it dump all the way to 3k if I'm not mistaken. And it lasted for some months and it just returned to 20k recently. Imagine how long for some people to wait and recover their investment. Bitcoin is much more stable now unlike 2017, many big institutions now are starting to invest because they now see the potential use of it in the future.
4982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Toronto women win jackpot lottery on: January 21, 2021, 01:46:39 AM
Do any of you play the same trick as their (playing the same number always)??

Here in our country, some people have a habit of betting for a particular number everytime they bet on the lottery. They treat it as their lucky number and won't stop until they hit a jackpot from it. My father used the same trick as her but he only does it on small prize lotteries where you need to predict 2 same numbers correctly. Gamblers love some jinx on their gambling habit, they think that it affects their chances of winning.
4983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Had you sold your Bitcoins ? on: January 19, 2021, 10:21:42 AM
Since the salary from my job is enough to pay bills and buy some necessities I have not sold my bitcoin yet since the time I started accumulating 3yrs ago. Though I'm using it sometimes to gamble, only a few amount of it. Bitcoin is my investment when I retire. It still a decade or two before that happens so I think bitcoin's price by that time is enough to enjoy the remaining years of my life.
4984  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔮 Futuur - Predict the Future! 🔮 on: January 18, 2021, 11:04:55 AM
Yes, I know that I just point out that it seems more confident to bet on those who will know the result for a long time if only Ooms can be used here as a bet because many people have noticed who predicted it so I ask if it can be bet using BTC.  I also plan to bet here using Bitcoins, but I prefer to bet those who will know the result immediately like sports.  And just use Ooms for questions that will take a long time to know the result just like in the next few years.

Is the play money ooms convertible to real money like bitcoins ? There should be a plan that if anyone collect certain amount of free money, he could redeem it for bitcoins ?
Secondly i think the withdraw fee of 0.4mBTC is little on the high side.

If they make it convertible to real money, someone could be rich in the future if he accumulates plenty of ooms. They can't easily do that because it might cost them a lot. What I think is they will make ooms a tradable token then users can sell it to some exchanges that are going to list it, or they can make their own platform where users can directly exchange it. The price will depend on the number of people that are buying and selling ooms.
4985  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Chiyuto Double-Your-Money Investment Scheme on: January 17, 2021, 11:36:07 AM

https://www.sec.gov.ph/advisories-2020/chiyuto-creative-wealth-document-facilitation-services/?fbclid=IwAR3g1iwqOf2n_S1oCLYb746e7q07XRmGj4k7u6j-5m61KuzWPme6sqOySQk

4986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question on bitcoin and alt season on: January 15, 2021, 12:28:49 AM
Isn't it taking place already with bitcoin? we've seen alts that are also increasing. Ethereum, Litecoin and other major altcoins.

It can only be seen on alt/usd pairs. And that only happened because bitcoin's price increased a lot in the past few weeks. If you compare it to alt/btc pairs, their price is very low compared to its previous months.
What I can call an alt season is alt/btc pairs shooting up. The ultimate goal in trading alts is to accumulate and increase bitcoin portfolio. But I guess this depends on what you've used on buying that alt, if you use stablecoins like usdt then your profit should be usdt too. Same with btc, if you buy an alt worth 0.05btc, it should return greater amount of bitcoin not the equivalent fiat value when you bought it.
4987  Economy / Gambling / Re: Complete Auto-pilot in Dicebot, Join me and we'll win together on: January 14, 2021, 01:24:07 AM
I just don't get the logic of these type of people that offers bots to have a higher chance of winning. If you're winning plenty of amounts, why bother selling it?
Let's just say that you found an exploit to a casino or lottery. Would you share it with anyone, even those who are close to you? I think not.
A reason that you want to share it with others isn't that convincing. You sell it without even proof of the website you've played.
4988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino through cheating on: January 13, 2021, 01:30:02 AM
It isnt an art and someone who do call it an art is just having that dumb mind or understanding of things.

IMO, it can be an art if it has complex techniques to perfectly execute the method of cheating. Those type of cheating are not easy to do, it requires multiple practices and needs a unique talent that not anyone has. You won't notice it easily that they are cheating because it's one of their strategies to lose sometimes unless you found a pattern that can prove that they are cheating.

What I can't call art is if someone found an exploit then abuses it easily with ease.
4989  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown due to covid19 is painful on: January 12, 2021, 12:53:48 AM
Vaccine doesn't guarantee anyone that they won't get covid19 anymore. We all know that the virus mutated to a new more spreadable strain resulting in some countries banning entry of travelers from another country.
And from what I know, the vaccine is only effective for 4 months so you will need to be vaccinated 3x a year. If this is true, governments won't afford to buy vaccines for their people at this rate.
I also don't want another lockdown but at this rate that some people are careless that they go out like there's no virus, it's likely to happen that a lockdown will happen again if new cases spike up again in the next few weeks.
Don't spread fake news using this platform. Your post is full of BS. The vaccines are effective for a minimum of 24 months, according to the vaccine manufacturers. It's not like you need to get vaccinated 3 times a year. If you still stick with your argument, then post the proof here. Also, the mutation doesn't have anything to do with the lethality. Death rates remain the same, although the virus has become more contagious now.
Obviously, the person means vaccines that need to be applied in two stages and it seems that the vaccination of only the first stage and the rejection of the second stage has an effect only for a few months. As for the coronavirus mutation, I want to express the idea that the greater contagiousness of the virus seems to give a greater number of infected people and, as a result, a greater number of deaths, but of course not a greater lethality. As for lethality, there seems to be no change for the worse.

Yeah, even if the lethality didn't increase, highly susceptible people like 60-70yrs old above or those who have special condition will be more prone to get the virus because of the mutation.
If those people won't be able to fight the virus then it can result to more number of deaths. There's also a chance that some vaccines now won't be that effective to people who have those new strain.
Researchers will need to modify their vaccines to fight this new strain of coronavirus.
4990  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown due to covid19 is painful on: January 11, 2021, 02:37:00 AM
I think second lock down is not necesary because the vaccination is now slowly starting and there is a great posibility that the pandemic will end soon. The people is now slowly starting to live a normal life and the economy will surely recover, however we still need to follow some government guidelines to make everything smooth and to prevent some more problems, i think we only need to wait for a very short period of time to make everything fine.

4991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 08, 2021, 11:58:57 AM
I hodl the 70% of my earnings then I convert the remaining amount to fiat then gamble that here in our neighborhood so that my capital will last enough until the next campaign payment.
With the current value of bitcoin, 1usd now is more or less 2400 satoshis. That amount is easy to waste in dice sites, I even remember back in the days that my minimum bet was 10k sats. That's already enough to buy some food if you will compare it now.
4992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi female or men ? on: January 06, 2021, 11:59:22 AM
This question comes up in my mind once but I didn't convince that Satoshi is a female in gender.

Let me elaborate you on what content in the article in some important points and reason why women aren't in crypto and Satoshi isn't a female in gender.
  • Women are not interested in blockchain and cryptocurrency
  • Women are not skilled in investing in crypto
  • Blockchain companies are not women-friendly
  • Women don't occupy top positions in blockchain
  • Women cannot contribute to blockchain development

But in my assumption, Satoshi is a group of people.
First and foremost it is a bit silly to talk about gender in an online forum until some claim them as a particular gender, if anyone wants to attack you especially the woman's group the explanation you have given is quite sexist to be frank, you should not hand them the stone to throw at you is my opinion.

If you have not heard about it, there is a  Women in Blockchain collaboration, just to give you a head start regarding that  Wink.

It would be amazing if she is female. From my observation, we have the same opinion as sheenshane. Some female I know that are interested in cryptocurrencies only because of their price.
If you ask them why there are many cryptos, what's their purpose and why many big institutions are into investing in it now, they can't answer.
If she go public and is really female then this can attract more women to get interested in blockchain and cryptocurrency.
4993  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FreeBitcoin Bot - What do you think about this tool?? on: January 04, 2021, 01:24:36 AM
I don't really trust these types of tools. I think they have some kind of malware or virus inside that will badly affect my computer. Worse is maybe it can steal my information for some private accounts.
When I was new to bitcoin and enjoying claiming on these free bitcoin faucets, I would rather claim it manually than installing a bot. I just think that it's only a few amounts of satoshis compared if something not good happens to my computer because of installing a bot.
4994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FOMO has started for Bitcoin on: January 02, 2021, 11:33:58 AM
FOMO will really happen if bitcoin's price will continuously increase. Add to that are the big institutions investing in it and speculations of many people that are saying it will reach this particular price.
People who don't have bitcoin are easily attracted to buy wanting to earn some good profit. If the market doesn't go well and it starts dumping hard then what happened way back 2017 could happen again leaving many people in a big disappointment.
4995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much btc do you need to secure your future? on: December 31, 2020, 10:26:08 AM
For me as long as you can accumulate for the future the better. Don't limit the amount you want to achieve if you can still gain more, you're not just securing your future but also for your next generations.
Not anyone is able to buy bitcoin so if you have some spare money and can afford to buy some then do it.
Even rich people who's future is already secured still buy bitcoin, that reason is enough for you to accumulate while you can.
4996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are your Bitcoins safe? on: December 29, 2020, 01:58:33 AM
If you're serious about accumulating and storing bitcoins on a bitcoin wallet then it's really a must to take all measures to not lose it.
All your hard work would be a waste if you don't secure it properly. Enabling 2fa so no one can send funds from your wallet without your authorization.
And most importantly, making multiple backups to recover it in case the device you're using gets lost or broken.
4997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What sites offer FREE Plays, FREE Spins, Free Bets - Lets make a list on: December 27, 2020, 01:20:48 AM
I am very happy if the opening post can provide a list of gambling sites that offer free plays, free spins, and free bets. Although I myself
don't look for gambling sites based on this, the most important thing for me in choosing casinos and sportsbooks is the license and reputation.
Because without these two things it is very risky that the gambling site we choose is scams, so my advice is not to be easily attracted by
all the bonuses offered by gambling sites. Not necessarily the gambling sites are safe to use.

Reputation always comes first when choosing a gambling site but some popular gambling platforms offer bonuses too to make their players stay on their site.
And gambling websites are also wise when they give bonuses to their players. Like to avoid the abuse of newly created accounts there must be a minimum wagered amount before you're able to withdraw.

4998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VALORANT Betting on: December 25, 2020, 10:26:43 AM
SOME THOUGHTS
Would you consider in betting in Valorant games? Do you think it would be much popular, as betting in Dota2, in the future?
Yes, Actually I am already betting on most Valorant competitive matches recently and it is just like betting on Overwatch matches for me. Well, Valorant being more popular in terms of betting on Dota2 I think is a no, Dota2 and CSGO are one of the pioneers of online gambling in esports I still think that bettors will stick on them. But if Valorant will have big events like The International or Majors in CSGO I think that's when Valorant betting popularity would be on par with Dota and CSGO.

LoL is also popular in online gambling for esports category and since Valorant and LoL have the same developer I think there will be esports tournament for their fps next year.
Valorant is still new yet it already attract many players that play fps professionally like TenZ who also play CSGO before.
I like the game myself because it has new mechanics than ordinary fps where you just need to shoot and kill.
4999  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Best Crypto Trading Strategies on: December 24, 2020, 10:33:28 AM
Hodling can't be considered a strategy IMO. You don't trade by hodling but you're just investing for the long term. It doesn't need any strategy or deep knowledge to be done so anyone can do that.

For me, the best trading strategy is controlling your emotions properly when trading. There are times you get liquidated then you try to recover it out of frustration but you'll just end up losing more. If you can control your emotion at that time, you can plan where to enter properly and start recovering your losses.
5000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin Ready for a Major Breakout? on: December 23, 2020, 06:38:01 AM
Let's hope it really happens, I bought some of it at 140$ and still hodling it now. I'm confident that it will return to that price because it's one of the OG altcoins. The only question is when, right now it's playing at 110$ - 120$, a little more pump before the end of the year and I can finally recover my loss to it.
