A few words for those concerned about the recent XRP price dumps.

I've been watching the Poloniex order books quite closely over the last week, and the 'dump' on the 19th of May and today is from certain individuals placing in excess of 500 BTC worth of Ripple on the exchange - momentarily - before cancelling the trade. This happens multiple times in quick succession to scare people into panic selling - which results in a reduced price in the 1000's of satoshis. They then buy while people are panic selling to increase their own holdings at a discounted rate which is essentially subsidised by those panic sellers. They are basically pilfering money from people.

This isn't just a single individual either. It appears to be a coordinated effort.

While these people may be getting rich through the opportunity to buy undervalued XRP, they should also realise that this type of trading on regulated stock exchanges is actually highly illegal.

The positive that comes out of this though, is that it will force regulators to place restrictions on these types of activities in the future and force exchanges to comply with these regulations. So in effect, their unethical actions are pushing us towards the regulation the Cryptocurrency industry desperately needs. This regulation assists with attracting institutional investors (at first) and an excessive amount of money with them.

Once these investors hold their slices of the pie under stricter regulatory rules, you'll see a much more stable and highly valued market.

However, everyone should really be taking advantage of these reductions and buy and hold as much XRP (and other Cryptocurrencies) as you can - I know I am.

If you look at any of the indicators of waves price, they are all way above it's current ranking on CMC, it's slack community size is in the top 5 It's tps is in the top 4 It's dex exchange volume increases daily, it is in the top 5 highest funded projects....
And these are just stats...  while most other projects have been growing in value through price manipulation, waves has been growing in value through performance...

I invested in the ICO as well. Has anyone else had problems transferring their plutons into their wallet? Mine won't send for some reason.

I have invested in ripple to and i think it is going to be one of my best investments. Thats true what you are saying, not to 100% but it is true that XRP (the Cryptocurrency) is not really needed, but Ripple was made  for banks to do business around the world, they open accounts called nostro accounts that must be filled with local currency. Ripple argues this results in a waste of capital that the trials were designed to showcase.

First, Ripple contends that value is lost because currency that must be held in the account is capital that could be invested elsewhere – and adding liquidity to these accounts costs money. Second, if a customer needs to do business with the bank for an amount that exceeds what is in the nostro account, days-long delays can result.

Still, the ability for Ripple's distributed ledger to operate without a currency has proved appealing to an increasing number of financial institutions that are otherwise wary of the stigma surrounding bitcoin.

Such sentiment led Ripple to launch a report earlier this year which aimed to showcase the cost savings that using a digital currency with a distributed ledger could achieve.

Released in February, Ripple argued that its tech could provide banks with a 33% savings on international payments. Yet, this figure rose to 42% when digital currencies were used to facilitate the trades.

Indeed, the increasing use of Ripple's technology without a digital currency led to market confusion about the company and its goals, a fact acknowledged by CEO Chris Larsen in a March interview with CoinDesk.

"We could do a better job of communicating that XRP is essential to the Internet of Value," Larsen said at the time.

Without XRP banks are saving 33% on international payments, with XRP they are saving 42% of international payments (and that's a lot in comparison to 33%).

I don't know, in my opinion it was and it is a good investment, but everyone thinks different and at least it is all speculation, so no one can know what will happen, but i think Ripple(XRP) is going to break the 100$ mark in the next 2 years (IN MY OPINION!), 'cause there are so many other  factors which must be considered.

you should assess more mate, you should not sell your coins when there's a lots of updates and speculation that showing here and outside
ripple still moving up and i must say that 1 dollar can be achieved in a week or two but its just my personal opinion though.

This is a typo I think. He meant 3,000 DCT per BTC. Considering all possible bonuses, price ranged from the best case scenario: 7500 DCT per BTC in the first hours; to 3,000 DCT per BTC in the last week.

I saw that people are talking about DCT price, but no one knows  what was the ICO price? I need to know that. Thanks in advance.
