anyone make a p2pool node?
I would set one up, but I have no idea how to set up p2pool. Perhaps someone that has done this can get one going for bitbar. I'd probably join it.

I'm solo mining via pushpoold... getting decent returns (I'd think...if this is anything like mincoin... about 93 BTB over the past 30-45min...I have about 20,000 KH on it)...
this coin looks like it may have some things that will set it apart and the authors gave it a bit of thought. I was waiting for something like NovaCoin that wasn't premined... unfortunately: * so many crapcoins have been released lately it may get lost in the noise * smaller numbers aren't as sexy as the large ones...(although mincoin has made it to some extent...hopefully this turns into something)
Is there any guide for setting up pushpoold on windows? I'm not sure, I did it on an ubuntu box I had using these instructions: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/4303/how-to-setup-pushpoolI have bitbard running on that same linux box, and pushpool's server.conf pointing at it.

Throwing around 17,500 KH at it overnight...for the heck of it. We'll see how this goes.

Who the heck got FC on Coinchoose...now hash rate is 2.45... was looking forward to at least 1 more week of good dibs, but guess not after the next diff adjustment. :/
Sorry about that - public blockexplorer + legit exchange with an API = listing on CoinChoose. I was half joking. I just remembered when I was getting 10k per day once I first started mining it (early last week I believe, or late the week before ). Will be about 900 per day once this next diff hits. This has been super quick adoption of an altcoin. It will be interesting to see if the interest continues after FC hits or approaches LTC/PPC profitability at current price levels. Robby

I joined last night around 2AM with about 13,000KH power and have only been paid out on about 24FC so far. Is anyone else experiencing this? Not sure about the lag time for new miners on this pool.

"We have detected a large amount of inbound traffic, roughly 4.5 Gbps, heading towards 74.121.182.150 This address has been null routed for a minimum of 24 hours. "
I'm in on ipv6 anyway, with backups of the wallet locally, but I wasn't expecting this over a feathercoin pool ?_?
Sounds like a DOS attack? Switched my miners to featherpool.com until this pool stabilizes...still got it in the list. Guys if you haven't, you may want to get a few different FC pool accounts and set up failover support in cgminer.conf (or try it p2pool maybe). Here's an example of my cgminer.conf file: { "pools" : [ { "url" : "http://featherpool.com:9999", "user" : "rbdrbd.1", "pass" : "WHATEVER" }, { "url" : "http://fc.dontmine.me:28339", "user" : "rbdrbd.1", "pass" : "WHATEVER" }, { "url" : "http://coinotron.com:3334", "user" : "rbdrbd.ltc01", "pass" : "WHATEVER" } ], "intensity" : "18", "shaders" : "1792", "thread-concurrency" : "21000", "gpu-threads" : "1", "worksize" : "256", "vectors" : "1", "lookup-gap" : "2", "gpu-fan" : "10-95", "gpu-engine" : "725-1025", "gpu-memclock" : "1250", "gpu-powertune" : "20", "temp-cutoff" : "95", "temp-overheat" : "86", "temp-target" : "79",
"auto-fan" : true, "auto-gpu" : true, "failover-only" : true, "api-listen" : true, "api-allow" : "W:10.10.20.69", "per-device-stats" : true, "scrypt" : true, "kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin",
"scan-time" : "1", "expiry" : "1", "queue" : "0" } This will first try featherpool, then go to dontmine.me, then mine litecoin at coinotron if both of those are down.

PPCoin is trying exactly this. Volatility, at this stage, is natural for bitcoin and all alt-coins.
Yea, it's a shame they went with sha-256 though... Novacoin is scrypt with POS. It's a shame it was premined though....so I don't mine it b/c of that. It there was a decent scrypt coin, without POS, that had the support of the community, that would be interesting. I am mining feathercoin right now, but it's just a litecoin clone....it appears that it is gaining early support though.

I have a number (19) of Sapphire 7950s that have been doing well, and a few of the Gigabytes. GPU mining profitability will continue to sink with the SHA256-hashed coins due to ASIC I'm thinking, but we still have a lot of life in scrypt probably (e.g. Litecoin, Novacoin, Feathercoin).

3rd post...just waiting to post in the altcoin forum...

I originally got into bitcoin spring of 2012... hitting myself on the head for not mining the hell out of it. Now I'm mining altcoins (litecoin and ppcoin).
