The biggest difference is that the rate at which bitcoin is creating new money is slowing down, and it will eventually reach zero and no new coins are ever going to be created, but this is not the case with fiat, fiat generation is only going up as time goes on we only need to have a look at the US dollar supply to understand that. I think that the chairman is a little bit biased by telling that bitcoin is a scam. The growth of bitcoins is also depending on the supply and demand in the market and the value will only grow if there's a lot of people who are investing and makes the supply decrease. |

I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Any altcoin can stand a chance against bitcoins if there's a lot of people who are demanding on it. The growth of any coin in the market is always depending on the consumers choice on where they are going to invest their capital and it will trigger its price to increase when the supply is decreasing. supply and demand is always the reason why coins value are decreasing or increasing in the market. |

Hey guys, my name is Thamos and I'm fairly new to Bitcoin. I've been reading up on Bitcoin for like, only, 2/3 weeks now. I was already planning on investing but I wanted to have a bit more knowledge about it all. I guess now I do.
I was just wondering, seeing how Bitcoin's price has increased by a lot over the last couple days, when would be best for me to hop in the pool. Should I buy now or should I wait till the price drops (even if it's only by a small percentage)?

You can invest on anytime you already have a capital because the profit that you will earn on trading is depending on your luck and how hard you are going to work by monitoring the markets value daily and hit the right time to buy or sell the coins. You can also hold your coins for a very long time to earn a higher profit. |

You cannot destroy bitcoins because no one can afford to buy all the supply in the market since it was very expensive. Billionaires like billgates can destroy bitcoins but they are not interested since they already have a huge amount of wealth in their pocket. |

I would suggest that you check the historical price of bitcoin dating back maybe 2 years or so and you will see that it is common for BTC to fluctuate. Given that it goes down dramatically if there is FUD like banning or regulations being implemented. Vice versa when there is good news. But as the saying goes, nobody can tell what 2018 holds for BTC. What we need is faith in the technology and patience.
You are right, there are a lot of people who are doubting about the future of bitcoins but they did not really know the price before back in 2013 when it was just 12$ in the market. Bitcoins do really grow a lot and we are all expecting more in the future so just hold your coins tighter to earn more profit in the next years to come. |

holding your coin is not dangerous because it is a long term trading strategy and will benefit very much when you sell it in the future because the price will surely rise very high. We don't really need BTC. I hate when I see people trying to convince others to sell everything they have to buy BTC, it's disgusting. Bitcoin is a lottery, you shouldn't use the money you need to pay your bills and buy food to bet in the lottery right? Bitcoin is kinda the same thing. People should invest money that in case they lost it wouldn't be a big deal you know? It's a long-term investment, however, it's a bet. You can win a lot or you can lose a lot too. Are you brave enough to deal with this risk?

Hello everyone, recently there has been a lot of panic on this forum due to the big price change of Bitcoin (as it always happens). Understandably, many people are confused and worried as they have lost thousands in their value, especially if they have bought higher than the current price. But as someone who has been into Bitcoin for 1.5 years (not too long, I know) I want to advice to newcomers to simply relax. Huge price swing were always a part of Bitcoin, so there's nothing extraordinary here and the worst thing you can do is to make panic trades. Basically, there are two main approaches to Bitcoin trading - you either hodl it, meaning you never sell it until it reached "the moon", or you are actively trading it to get profit from volatility. So, if you believe in Bitcoin's technology and don't experience as a trader, I suggest you to not touch your coins - Bitcoin always tends to increase in its value in the long run.
Most of the newbies will really panic when the value of their coins melt down on the market. The value of every coins in the market is always depending on the supply and demand so you just need to chill if your coins value is decreasing because eventually it will increase again after a few months. |

Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.

Yes you are right, you can easily determine if the people you are talking to is intending to scam you or not just by looking at the gestures so its easy to avoid those people who are really insisting to sell to you some coins or asking you to invest on their ico. The only unavoidable thing is being hacked from phishing sites or to reveal your self recklessly and that will be a big problem for you. |

If the internet goes down, Bitcoin is rendered useless, you pretty much can't do anything. But I doubt that the internet will ever go down, as in like fully shutdown across the whole world.
Obviously you cant do anything about your coins if the internet will go down because cryptocurrency is being runned by the internet, but you do not need to worry since internet today is becoming more successful and the bill monthly is very cheap so there is no need to worry about that and focus on working on bounty campaigns to earn more fiat. |

bitcoin price is know over $11714.95 and growing, share your knowledge/memory of the first time you know of the value of bitcoin was. My first time knowing bitcoin it was valued at $200+.  It was just 12$ back in 2013 and no one knows that bitcoins will increase up to 17k dollar, Most of the people regret those days why they did not invest at that time when the value is super cheap. Ok guys. It's time to inform porn industry that we want to pay in Bitcoins. You have any ideas on how to do it? Bitcoin is perfect payment method for p0rn - anonymous and very fast. And they don't care about fluctiation because they profit anyway. If some major sites will start accepting bitcoins, there will be huge demand for Bitcoins  What do you think? I started 2017 broke and with a very low wage. My girlfriend also broke up with me in the beginning of the year.
