501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will people lose intrest? on: March 24, 2018, 06:45:34 PM
Hello!

If bitcoin died do you think people will lose intrest in other cryptos aswell? which altcoin would you invest in if there were no bitcoin?
I think bitcoin is the driver of all cryptocurrencies and for that matter, if bitcoin dies, altcoins will face a big problem. Altcoins will still live if btc only when there was a problem related to btc which wasn't the same for other cryptos. By the way, I don't think btc will die.

505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MyetherWallet Security on: February 28, 2018, 12:48:52 AM
I use Metamask, too. But are the funds really safe when I´m storing them in longterm, is it not like a hot-/online-wallet?

Actually I use 2 Metamask-accounts, 1. for buying/selling, 2. for storage.

Metamask is even safer than mew because of potential hacks that can be done on mew compared to metamask. I use metamask wallet addresses but I feel lazy loging in using their extension so I use mew to log in always. You just have to keep your seed very safe and you are free to go.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SECURITY | GUIDE] How to protect your wallets and private keys on: February 28, 2018, 12:39:49 AM
I have learnt and practiced from what you've taught most of us in the community. I appreciate that. Keep looking for vital information like this for us. You taught me how to encrypt my data and that's what made me happier. thanks again.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like airdrops? on: February 25, 2018, 12:06:02 PM
i liked airdrops when the idea of airdrop started but now, the thing thing has been a mess. I really hate registering for an airdrop of late because the whole issue is they want telegram users and what they do is create a bot and at the end each member get like some single digit tokens of a token which has a total supply of over 500,000,000.
I won't waste my time for this.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in Dogecoin future? on: February 25, 2018, 11:48:38 AM
Doge market is one of the slowest in terms of growth. But I think there will be a surprise one day that's why I am hodling some amount of dogecoins.
Let's not forget about ripple, it was traded below 10 cent but now look at the market of ripple. It will take time but just hodl any quantity you can afford to lose and wait for at least 5 years.
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Money on: February 25, 2018, 11:39:04 AM
But you haven't even been here a few years? Lol
How can you judge so? Maybe he has been here for long and this is only an alt account Cheesy. All the same it is good to hodl bounty coins for long because you didn't get those tokens from your fiat currency.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 ETH - should buy alt or hold on to it on: February 18, 2018, 08:06:57 PM
This is my advice which I think will be beneficial to you if you take it. Try as much as you can to have more than whole numbers of the major coins like btc, eth, ltc, bcc, monero, dash and whichever you may add. Btc may be costly so hodling 0.5 is okay. You are lucky to have 1eth, don't change to any other coin.

512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FAKE Metamask - Phishing Attempt - do not install on: February 18, 2018, 07:49:49 PM
Thanks a lot for the notification but I want to know whether the extension chrome-extension://nlbmnnijcnlegkjjpcfjclmcfggfefdm/cx-wallet.html#add-wallet is a safe one because I have it installed but I have not used it.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: myetherwallet.com shamless on: February 18, 2018, 07:45:58 PM
myetherwallet.com admin and his team is very very shameless and giving hackers to chance to hakeing

theifting accounts these involve in this hacking and thifting
why not improve security like e mail or sms code before loging? they are also theift
Until I read this post, I never knew mew is not safe. The only way someone can get into your address is when you give your log in details like private key or keystore file and password which scammers have a nice way of deceiving you into sending them to them. Just be vigilant and always prepare yourself to meet these people. That's all.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Beware of coinexchange.io ! on: February 18, 2018, 05:05:53 PM
I don't doubt the issue on board because almost all these exchange sites have in one way or the other done something similar. They are always into listing new coins and I don't know what the support team really do. As I said, devs do a lot work on integrating new coins to their site leaving some of these cases as minor ones. I believe they will sort things out so please have patient as there is nothing I can do about this issue. They need more staff to look into issues like these rather than employing people to do otherwise.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can I have two myetherwallets. on: February 18, 2018, 04:55:38 PM
You can have as many wallets as you want from the myetherwallet site. The only thing is the keep the keystore files or private keys in a safe place. But if you meant: can you have two myetherwallet addresses from the same private key, then the answer is NO as I don't find anything on the site that hints on that. But you may reload the current page which says create new wallet and get a new address but with different keystore and private key
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: myetherwallet passoword and private key on: February 18, 2018, 04:49:49 PM
There are many ways that can be used to assess your myetherwallet account which can be found right after the mew site loads. The two common ones that many people use are either via private key(does not require additional paasword) and json/keystore(requires password). The keystore is the same as the private key only that it has been encrypted which you need to enter a password before accessing it. So the option is yours either to use encrypted private key(keystore/json file) with password or the private without password.
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: February 18, 2018, 02:22:56 PM
I am a bitcoin enthusiast but I won't advise you to turn all your money into crypto and for that matter, bitcoin. It is advisable to hodl btc but not to the extend that all your fiat will be changed to btc. Well, if you can stand the variations in market with the losses, then turn everything to bitcoin. What I mean is that the price of bitcoin fluctuates and for that reason when it is low, the only option is to keep hodling and what if you need money to buy something urgent? Will you exchange to fiat at the time it is low? I think you won't do that and that's why you don't have to turn all your money into crypto to save you when prices in crypto fall.
518  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I Invest in Bitcoin in 2018? on: February 10, 2018, 12:02:48 AM
One reason why I like all cryptocurrencies is that there is an entry time and exit time. So at every time, you need to study when to buy and when to sell. Everything proves that it is entry time and if you wait to sometime, you will not like those who advised you to invest in bitcoin. In short, invest in bitcoin but know the right time.
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: when you try to explain people about cryptocurrency do they understand? on: February 09, 2018, 11:58:57 PM
I experienced the same thing but with the help of some youtube channels on cryptocurrency, friends are able to understand as time goes on. it needs time to understand this and people get confused the first time. And one thing I have realized is that if the person is eager to learn about it, it is easy for them to understand than trying to convince a friend to buy crypto.
520  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading VS Bitcoin! on: February 09, 2018, 11:48:10 PM
With the little trades I have made, I think trading is worth much than mining. Why because the cost of trading is very cheap compared to mining which needs a lot. In terms of what income per day, Both might be profitable but I choose trading because I love it Smiley
