No one can predict the future but i personally think that if crypto will remain here for so many years and thrive and gets adoption then some of the coins will be very very expensive by then we may see values like one million usd per coin and that will be epic.

Well it is not about the exchanges bro and i think constantinople hard fork is not going to produce a new coin it will just upgrade the eth network and also help in getting rid of scalability issues that eth is facing and yes i agree with your last point that eth will surge this month, most eth community agrees about the surge due to this upgrade but how much eth value can gain around this news is yet to be seen.

I do not know it is right or wrong but such posts, articles and news when go viral does creatr that hype and fome around the event and mostly the impact is bull run or atleast a big pump and how this eth upgrade news is building up looks like eth is shaping up for a big pump which is good as eth has recently seen the worst dump ever so time for healthy recovery.

One part of your post is right that altcoins offer more features and are cheaper and faster to transfer but being more profitable is a big question mark right now and i think if they are more profitable then at the same time they are more risky, volatile and can hive potentially big losses as well. I agree in bull market of last year they yielded big profit but after that a year long bear market has also hit altcoins in worst possible way where big coins are down by 5 to 10 times while smaller alts are down 10 to 100 times making them extremely risky investments. I still hope market will recover this year.

I think the new year will ne better and crypto markets will recover especially big investors, funds and institutions are coming to crypto market for investing after fulfilling the legal requirements so atleast im bullish about btc and eth as these 2 are the biggest coins and the first entry in the market by almost everyone is by investing in btc and eth so money is goimg to come in them first causing more demand and value.

I would not say dead but definitely it is very slow nowadays and i will put the blame to some scammers and also the overall bearish market from so many months, people are not  making money from this market so they are not investing in new icos but we have to see the things in larger prospective there are always slow times and fast times in almost every business so definitely we are going to see business back on track for crypto markets as well we should stay positive and take this bearish phase as slow business and wait for recovery.

No one can tell you precisely about next general bull run but i can sense some good bull run for eth from here and i think it will be bigger than most expectations i think the eth fork and upgrade hype will pick momentum in some more days and we can see big fomo and nice gains in eth price.

Hodling is itself a strategy and it is for people who are in for the long game i mean they want to invest and hold the coin for over a year and  some over 5 years so even the worst bears do not effect them as they are in for longterm and they will analyse the profit after their targetted term and these hodlers are true supoorters of the blockchain technology and in the end they will be the ones taking home the largest profits.

That is a bit strange for most of the people here including me, if satoshi was the creator of this forum why he is no more active and secondly why do not the current admins come in front i mean they should be more vocal in social media, youtube and also should represent their platform at crypto conferences around the world, this anonymity does make things very curious for the community.

I was active on steemit platform last year but slowly i lost interest i think they need to update many things, add new features, maje the interface more colorful and attractive. I will try to my reactivate my account soon but for that i have to find some free time and write a blog post.

If you ask me im sick of copy cat coins that just want to be the next bitcoin but originally these coins or projects are launched to raise funds from the market and then enjoy their life it is just a new kind of scam. All the new coins or projects should come up with a unique and attractive business idea, plan and they should have the required talent to deliver the project according to the roadmap and then also market their project nicely.

I think i agree with vitalik on this matter i think tiny fee does not harm as a means of service charges because it is also a working company with a lot of developers and other staff working round the clock in the backdrop for it so continuous generation of funds is important and also to pay miners fee is required. I think we need to be patient for few months and let eth network implement the upgrades im sure it will get rid of scalability issues and transactions will be much faster and cheaper.

Although i will keep holding my coins and tokens that i would have sold for over 10 to 100x in the last bull run because now most of them have become dirt cheap and useless to sell now so i will keep holding them till i see them recover and find decent value.

I think you are right we should not listen to anyone as most people and media is deceptive and they want to impose their own agenda based on their personal gains that is why i think we should take profits whenever we see decent profit offered and then take new position whenever seem favorable. We should not keep holding forever an year long downtrend has also taught us this lesson.

Yes most of the big financial players are sooner or later going to enter the crypro markets but i do not know what is taking them so long. Maybe they are busy to clear all the compliance, taxation and regulation policies before proper entry but who knows. I am saying this because during all of this year 2018 i was listening to same news every other day about institutions entering crypto but nothing solid occured we can now only hope they enter as soon as possible and uplift the market.

I will say that we should not loose hope sooner or later we are going to get the parabolic market we all have been waiting for months. Looking at the major coins right now does give us high hopes of trend reversal and bull run very soon. I hope that first quarter of the new year will be extremely positive and bullish for crypto market.

Really on spot analysis, i totally agree with your analysis my personal target for ethbtc pair is 0.1 and i think eth will definitely achieve it in the post upgrade bull run also i think this bull run will be a long one not just a few days but many weeks and it will also drive the usd price of eth to new highs.

Potentially yes crypto market does offer huge profit and investment potential but whether it will outperform all other markets or not is a complex question and its answer remains to be seen. Some financial experts are predicting recession and turmoil in world economy once again that is why they think that in such condition crypto market can boom because people will look at alternative investments to avoid massive dumps in other markets, lets see what happens in new year.

I think for miners soon there will not be many serious options left other than btc especially after ethereum's upcoming upgrade where the miner's reward will be significantly reduced and then in the next upgrade mining will be completely turned off due to change of algorithm to proof of stake so everyone has to be vigilant about it.

I think the biggest solution for this dumping problem can be learnt from traditional stock exchanges where big companies set lower lock and large buy orders below specific levels to safegaurd their investors from massive crashes and dumps.
