As long as trading is the primary use case for altcoins, crypto price will be coupled with BTC. It follows that coins like Monero might decouple first because they have usage outside exchanges.

The best tactic in times like that is to make sure that you can collect as much at cheaper price points that you can during that time frame. Even simply working a normal job will get you a larger piece of the pie than you could have received a few months ago.

Look in 2014 bitcoin tanked from 2k to 300 USD. way bigger fall ive seen 80-90% drops before. All the people who sold then were probably saying thank goodness I Sold. Yet come 2017 they would be up 10X had they held. Yeah you can say I sold at the right time and I will buy back in at the right time.

So far Ripple seems to be the most bank friendly of the cryptos, in that it solves a real problem for them. I think it will have massive value in the overall ecosystem.

I think EOS, XLM, LINK, ADA, ICX, and NANO are probably all going to have good years. And despite many of the icos being shilled being scams I think there are some good ones on the way. CoinLion, Sharpay, Coinmetro, Vectorspace, and Edenchain.

The only reason why ETH is the second most popular crypto is simply because people used it to join ICOs. Now ICOs losing their popularity, it seems like ETH itself is getting dumped big time.

I think it is a large holder getting out, getting out as in selling and staying out. A few thousand coins is enough. I can't imagine it is a hodler, must be someone who have got them easy, like a robber.
