501  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT]: MICHAEL MORIARTY/moriartybitcoin/BitLaunder.com Stole $80K From Me on: August 04, 2014, 08:35:46 AM
What does it matter that I emailed you and asked for 20btc to go away? How is that related to your theft of your customer's money? It is a separate issue.  So let us get our facts straight...

Oh wow.

I understand perfectly that moriarty is a scammer, one look at his sites will make it obvious.

But I didn't think you actually asked him for 20 BTC to go away. This did NOT help.

I'm out. Good luck to you guys though.

I was contacted by Ricky because I am a writer at CCN. It would have been impossible for me to go away. I wrote the email from the same IP and signed it JC. My hope was that he would try to get rid of me which would have been proof that he stole Ricky's money. He answered the email saying, "I can't give you 20 btc because I can't guarantee you won't write about this story anyway." Then he stated, "Instead, I offer you 3 btc a month to ignore Ricky and write one good article a month about my sites. Ricky's coins are dirty and most likely stolen."

At that point I told Michael that Ricky's coins were not dirty and were not stolen and linked him to the forum and other places that proved that. That is when Michael said, "I checked into 'rickyjames' on both bitcointalk and NXTforum and, you're right, he is legit and his coins are legit, so he will be getting them back shortly.  A lot of this could actually have been avoided had he just shot me an email before overwhelming the pool, but what's done is done. MM"

So, of course Michael has resorted to pointing me out as a scammer extortionist and created "jerancampanella.com" to spread lies about me personally, and although I realize that writing the email asking for the 20 btc wasn't smart, it also opened the door for Michael to offer me his bribe of 3 btc per month to "ignore Ricky because his coins were dirty and or stolen." That is what led to me showing Michael he was wrong and Michael realizing his scam of stealing people's coins when they use bitlaunder because only a crook would use bitlaunder was not full proof.

So Michael then said he'd pay them back and even sent a test transaction of 0.01 btc....   https://blockchain.info/address/1NcRZFL6NRz4XS8o1JEJnFVvGQn8WD8RiQ

So, at some point Michael must have assumed he could keep the $80,000 and use my email asking for 20btc as the distraction and or sidestep.  Regardless, the facts are facts... Michael kept Ricky James $80,000 because he figured that when someone uses bitlaunder they are a crook and this allows Michael to play cop and be a total thief. So, anyway... if Michael would have agreed to the 20 btc and sent it to me, I would have immediately given it to Ricky and attempted to recover the rest for him. It would have been impossible for me to go away and that's the reason (among others) that I didn't accept the 3 btc per month deal. I write for CCN. My public info is everywhere. I couldn't take money and disappear because Ricky would have easily seen that I just stopped communications, which means I would have to quit CCN and then I'd be implicated and involved in a theft of $80,000. I certainly would not want that on my head knowing that I would be the first suspect the cops would come after, as I have paperwork with CCN and operate totally transparent and publicly.

Don't know what else to say.  Fact is Michael has $80k that belongs to Ricky.

I have received nothing for any of the work I have been doing. I believe in bitcoin because I believe in truth and see what the Federal Reserve and this country has done to the American Dream. When I wrote the interview of Michael Moriarty, I praised him for being a "bitcoin pioneer" and I feel like such a dirtball because my interview (according to Ricky) led to him trusting Moriarty with his $80k. So, I can't sleep at night and have spent probably 50+ hours on this for the one reason and that is getting Ricky his coin back. The 1 btc bounty is my own money, simply because I feel Michael has taken advantage of me as a journalist to sucker customers into his scam trap and it disgusts me in every way. Michael believes in anonymity for one reason, so that he can steal with no repercussions. That has led me to change my position on the anonymity of bitcoin. I believe in privacy and I believe in the anonymous side of bitcoin. Where that ends is with businesses. I have an online webiste too, and I accept bitcoin. But I understand why I cannot remain anonymous because if customers trust me with their funds and to deliver a product, the trade off is that I must accept the fact that I must operate with transparency, and I do and always will.

Michael refuses and bashes other companies like Circle, Xapo, and Coinbase because they require customers info and he is so proud he does not. The difference of course is that Xapo or Coinbase can't steal 80k because they are not anonymous. Michael can't have his cake and eat it too. Where is the transparency Michael? You don't get $80k for free in this world. Those who do are the IRS, the FEDERAL RESERVE, CAPITAL ONE and CITIBANK... The companies that wrecked this country and steal from its citizens every day. You are scum and no better than they. You use lies and deceit to make a living because you aren't capable otherwise.

If I am wrong, give Ricky his coins back and prove it. Operate a company which provides a service and make a legit earning helping others and allowing a recourse should you fail in providing said service. You failed in your service to RickyJames and countless others. You use fake Fiverr customer reviews, spamming threads and irc to push your shitty sites. You use bitcoin meetups to drop your site names all in an effort to get people to hand you money so you can make an easy living. You are the reason this country is going down hill. People no longer want to do real work to make money. Instead they want to lie, cheat and steal which is why I get emails daily saying I won the lottery or the plethora of scams that currently exist. Which means you are a liar, a thief, and a "scammy piece of shit."

Think those are harsh words Michael? Prove me wrong. Return the 80k and show us all you are who you say you are. As of now, you are the Nigerian banker who has a million dollars waiting for me if I only Western Union him $1,000 to get it. He is not using a real name and sends from TOR addresses and masked IP's because he is a thief... much like you sir. I hope others help me find you, and jail you, since you have admitted to your theft and refuse to return it. Everyone makes mistakes... I kind of think mistakes are the point of life. You make them, you admit them, you make amends and you learn from them going forward. You have done the first two, but instead of making amends and learning from them going forward, you expect to get to keep your stolen money and continue on in your scam operation. It does not and should not work that way. Admit you made a mistake, return RickyJames' coins and let me get back to my life where I have to work for every last penny I earn. Is it easy? No. Is it fun? No. But it is called a society and it is required to be a part of one. Those who cannot operate under these rules belong in a cell. That is why we have jail... it is for people who have proven that they care nothing about anyone other than themselves and if our ancestors would have operated that way, we wouldn't be here today. We are here because they joined together and protected and assisted each other. Looks to me that you have shown you are in this world for you and you alone. That is disgusting to me. To wake up everyday with the mindset of "who can I screw today" is sickening and pathetic. You are the force holding back evolution. When we could be talking about new ways to grow bitcoin and end the Federal Reserves stranglehold on our society, I instead must spend hours trying to find you. You disgust me, and make me sick to my very core. We get one chance on this earth and I despise the fact that I must spend my few years with you. You have already cost me a month. Thanks for the lies on jerancampanella.com and all your bullshit. I hope you sleep well at night knowing you are the opposite of what makes a man a man. You are scum and deep down inside you know it. I am a good person and I care about others and you may have millions and I may have hundreds but I believe in karma and it may not be today, tomorrow or next year, but eventually you'll pay for all you have done to people and if I can see it happen, well then that's all I can ask for.

503  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT]: MICHAEL MORIARTY/moriartybitcoin/BitLaunder.com Stole $80K From Me on: August 02, 2014, 03:51:20 PM
I'm not going to waste my time on this absurd thread other than to direct people to the extortion/blackmail attempt of Jeran Campanella which I detail here:

https://JeranCampanella.com

Michael, quit using Jeran as a magician trick distraction.  Either give me back my coins or call me a liar as part of your getaway, but STOP JUST IGNORING ME.

For what it's worth, I counseled Jeran OVER and OVER to never ask you for ANYTHING as it would only dirty him and lead to chaos later, as it has.   I cannot help that he did not listen to my advice. He is now off on his own rampage because you misused his journalistic integrity.  Stop trying to hide behind this irrelevant distraction you are using to avoid admitting the truth about what YOU have done to ME.

The only reason Jeran got involved in this mess was that you ignored four service requests followed by three personal emails from me.  You told Jeran I overwhelmed your paltry 5 coin mixing pool you had advertised as "unlimited volume".  Sorry about that.  All you had to do was contact ME, not HIM, to resolve this and instead you KEPT MY COINS JUST BECAUSE YOU COULD.

DO YOU REALLY THINK SOMEONE WOULD SEND 127 BITCOINS TO A LAUNDERING SITE THEY'VE NEVER USED BEFORE???

Answer: There's a sucker born every minute and I admit to being one when my turn came and I was bitten by the greed bug.  I needed a mixing service.  The choice was your Bitlaunder.com or bitmixer.io (a legitimate service with a pool of 2000+ coins that later served me well after you failed me in every way).  I initially chose you because you presented yourself in an interview with a respected journalist on a major news website as a successful businessman running a mixing service as one of many in a major franchise run by a team of eight and having a customer base of thousands.  Who thought you would be so brazen as to be a such a liar under such circumstances?  "Unlimited volume"?  Thousands of customers?  Your paltry 5 coin pool was overrun by my transactions which were in the first 600 you ever handled.

Don't ask a distracting and irrelevant rhetorical question of the readership here.

Instead, answer the key questions yourself:

1. Did you accept at Bitlaunder.com 131+ BTC from rickyjames for mixing, yes or no?

2. If yes, did you finally deposit 127+ BTC in rickyjames-controlled wallets, yes or no?

3. If yes, where are they on the blockchain or in your records?

Your silence in addressing these direct challenges only convinces others of your guilt.

The proof is in the block chain no matter how much you deny it.  I've presented the facts that verify my claims.  Prove me wrong; present facts in support of yours.

Finally, I am not responsible for Jeran's statements to you, but YOU are responsible for your actions towards ME.

You get out of this mess either (a) by stealing 127 BTC from me  or (b) keeping a trustworthy reputation with others by doing the right thing.  YOU DON'T GET BOTH.  YOU DON'T GET TO STEAL MY COINS AND ALSO ACT LIKE YOU'VE STILL GOT A CLEAN REP YOU CAN THEN USE TO SCAM STILL MORE AT A LATER DATE.

Choose one or the other and tell us your choice like a man.  Stop hiding behind distractions.  That's what cowards do.

Ricky is right.

Why don't you deal with me separately Moriarty....  Deal with YOUR customer first.

Your repeated side show of jerancampanella.com has no relation to the crime you are accused of.  What does it matter that I emailed you and asked for 20btc to go away? How is that related to your theft of your customer's money? It is a separate issue.  So let us get our facts straight...

Did you admit to me (on several occasions) that you did not dispute receipt of RickyJames coins? Email proof easily shows you do not dispute this.
Did you refuse to give me any payout address that belongs to Ricky or any transaction id proving you returned his coins? [/color]Email proof easily shows you did.
Did I send an email to you from another email account asking for 20 btc to remain quiet? YES! I 100% say that this is FACT.
Did you pay me anything at all? NO!  This is 100% FACT.
Did you tell me that the 127 btc was most likely stolen or hacked and that it was the weirdest transaction you had ever seen and then ask for proof that RickyJames and his coins were clean? Email proof easily shows you did.
Once you reviewed the info, did you say these exact words, "I checked into 'rickyjames' on both bitcointalk and NXTforum and, you're right, he is legit and his coins are legit, so he will be getting them back shortly.  A lot of this could actually have been avoided had he just shot me an email before overwhelming the pool, but what's done is done. MM"? Email proof says you did.

Once you answer those questions, I only have a few more. Are you a man of your word or a liar and a coward? Are you not paying YOUR customer back because you are upset at me for trying to get you to admit that you stole the coins when you in fact did steal the coins?  Here is a quote from you and from this thread,

Quote
Funny thing is, for a 'scamming piece of shit' I sure take care of my customers.  Thousands of people use my sites and in every single case I make sure they are happy and satisfied.  Several times BitLaunder and BitPlastic have been hacked and each and every time I paid clients out of my own pocket so that nobody lost a dime.

So now is the time to "take care of your customer." On many occasions in the past few weeks you have gone on and on about your satisfied customers and your business being for the long run and not based on theft.  So, if that is true, can you please answer my last and most important question...

Don't you want to keep your reputation as a bitcoin pioneer and leader and to do the right thing and pay back your customer's money that you have admitted to keeping? That is what is important here.

To say this:
I'm not going to waste my time on this absurd thread other than to direct people to the extortion/blackmail attempt of Jeran Campanella which I detail here:
https://JeranCampanella.com
is simply absurd.

So, if I understand your position correctly, and please Michael can you correct me if I am wrong... That you will not address your customer, who is currently missing 127 bitcoins that are in your possession, and you justify your theft by calling this thread "absurd" and instead have decided to divert attention to one email where I asked for 20 btc in an attempt to prove what you later admitted, which was the fact that you still had Ricky's coins.

Is that what you are trying to say? My one email to find out if you in fact stole coins, which was the case, is your justification for stealing your customers coins?

Michael I'd love to hear your answer here.
Why not just say you thought they were dirty and you were mad at me, so you kept the coins. Apologize to Ricky, send the coin as you agreed you were, and I'll apologize to you for calling you a scammy piece of shit.

Do you have 127 btc that belong to RickyJames? Yes or No

However, if your response does not address these specific questions in RED, then what do you expect me to call you?  Just do what is right Michael.  Please.

504  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lemon - defaulted loan on: August 02, 2014, 01:29:53 PM
Updates on this bum yet? I noticed he went private on all his social media, probably still scamming along.

Where's the repayments, Ryan?
There won't be much of a repayment...

Yes - this is correct. Avon & Bath Police contacted me last week to let me know. I didn't want to push this information into the public eye just yet.

He was released on bail for now and his computers/phones seized. It's a long term game for the Police to catch him.

I'm probably years late here but isn't lemon or Ryan...... this dude?

I saw a blog of this MM and he said there the OP got fired form his last work place because he accused him of all this stuff!

If it is true I would recommend the OP to tell us and we should stop using the site that is trying to protect this asshole MM!

LOL

Moriarty is full of shit....

Here is an article I wrote yesterday

http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/xapo-easy-bitcoin-wallet-secure-vault-convenient-debit-card-finally-released/2014/07/31

He is a liar....  I'm not in foreclosure and I don't scam bitcoin sites

And we wonder why btc won't take off

Holy shit, this is really sick.

I hope it works out for rickyJames! He did so much good for NXT!!

(This incident and others is the reason I only mix BTC with big exchanges and shared send)

You know what... I probably wouldn't be going through this if it was anyone else.  I wrote the interview and after 4 days of Ricky's money being lost and no response from Michael, Ricky wrote me a calm nice email asking if I'd help him get in contact with Moriarty.

He is a great guy and got screwed.

Harsh words JCampy

Funny thing is, for a 'scamming piece of shit' I sure take care of my customers.  Thousands of people use my sites and in every single case I make sure they are happy and satisfied.  Several times BitLaunder and BitPlastic have been hacked and each and every time I paid clients out of my own pocket so that nobody lost a dime.

And furthermore, despite the occasional complaint about 'high fees', these sites barely pay for the hosting and development that goes into them.  The main reason I run this network is because I believe in the libertarian potential of Bitcoin, not to make a fast buck.

Unlike CoinBase and Circle, I don't have Silicon Valley venture capitalists shoving money down my throat. Why? Because I refuse to force my users to identify themselves.  Unlike some people on here, I truly believe in privacy.

Since I launched BitPlastic last fall, I have been the victim of nonstop hacking, extortion, DDOS and blackmail.  This latest 'theft' accusation seems to be more of the same.  Keep attacking me as you will, but I have thousands of happy users on my sites, and more signing up every single day - and a whole network of new services planned.

In other words, you waste your time.

DUDE!  I don't care if you take care of 100,000 customers!

You stole $80,000 from Ricky James....

Then lied repeatedly to me in email after email....

First it was he was a scammer/extortionist (like I am now)

Then it was "he deposited coin then withdrew it"

Then I asked for the transaction ID and you wouldn't give it to me.

Then it was Ricky's coins were dirty.

Then it was "Well, now that I have seen they are clean..." blah blah

WHAT HAPPENED WITH THIS EMAIL MIKE?

"I'm not a thief" and in case you haven't figured it out yet... UNTIL YOU RETURN THE BITCOIN YOU STOLE YOU ARE A FUCKING THIEF....

You come on these boards and lie and slander me, you make sites in my name to call me a scammer/extortionist...

ALL WHILE YOU SIMPLY IGNORE THE FACT THAT YOU STOLE $80k

Michael What the fuck dude?

Those are not harsh words.  You are an asshole and have put me through hell for a month!  You are a scammy piece of shit. PERIOD!  Look what I've gone through so you can steal people's hard earned money while you build scam sites!

YOU ARE PATHETIC MIKE

When you are told to go do an interview on someone like I was, how much digging do you think I should do?

Did you check before posting that link to see if I had done the proper amount of fact digging?

What am I supposed to do? Run a background check?  To be honest, your post has upset me.  I have felt so bad about my article that I have spent a month trying to recover these funds for Ricky.  But who is the asshole here?  Who should have to re-evaluate their methods?  Duhhhhhhh  MORIARTY the FAKE the FRAUD

I always do a google search on an interviewee.  There he is shown with all his active social links and his network of 50+ bitcoin sites.  I check a few sites and they all are running and everything looks good.  I checked his LinkedIn.   He is a Doctor. He has many connections and is the organizer of 3 bitcoin meetups. He has a PhD from Stanford.  Has eight FT employees.  So, please tell me b!z all knowing arm chair QB.... what would you have done different?

No offense intended.

How do you now know that he is not a doctor or a PhD?

Well, because if he is then he is using a fake name.  And I am pretty sure that no real Doctor would use a fake name behind their "Doctor" title and before PhD...

He has no PhD from Stanford as his LinkedIn shows....

Stanford has confirmed two things....

1. No PhD from Stanford has been issued to a Michael Moriarty and
2. No Michael Moriarty has ever had a thesis posted in the United States (required for PhD)

He is nothing more than a scammer and a total clown.  I've never been so upset in my whole life.  The lies he is posting on jerancampanella.com are outrageous.  But how do you sue a fake person?

DO YOU REALLY THINK SOMEONE WOULD SEND 127 BITCOINS TO A LAUNDERING SITE THEY'VE NEVER USED BEFORE???

Come on, folk, seriously. This has to be one of the most absurd extortion scams in history.

You are a complete and total liar and your threats mean nothing.

DOES EVERYONE SEE WHAT THIS CLOWN MORIARTY IS DOING HERE?

Even worse... he wins those auctions, and goes and puts up another site.  He honestly think we can't hurt him with these forum posts and so far he is right

Yeah, shit like this does Really piss me off. More people need to be concerned with this, more people need to share it; get the word out. I give you (campycoin) props for really trying to help out rickyjames and get that Fuckhead to give him back his money, even though your only prior involvement with it was writing an article about the Fuckhead. I can tell you are really trying to help and do the right thing.

As mentioned, getting a black hat to fully doxx his ass would be a sweet start. Especially- home address information, then if I was rickyjames I would stop by and pay him a visit. However, as campycoin already mentioned- the whole PhD and relation to Stanford is most likely 100% bullshit. I'm almost sure that MM didn't have plans since the beginning of robbing somebody like that, so I'm almost positive he has left himself exposed somewhere along the way- with a few of his sites maybe.

Good luck to all, I will be following and will try to help if I can,

Go ahead and post whatever 'evidence' you have of the 'scam'.  This is complete horseshit, and you know it.

I run BitPlastic.com, PaidBitcoin.com, BitFiverr.com, BitListing.com, BitSweeps.com, TheBitcoinEscrow.com and dozens more Bitcoin sites .. and, what, you think we're going to scam you for some miniscule amount of Bitcoins, and damage our reputation as a huge network?  Insane.

I don't like people slinging accusations at me, so if you have some evidence, or want to provide your BitLaunder username, I'm happy to personally take a look. I know for a fact you never even emailed support, as I just spoke with them.

How does this guy in any way tie to Michael Moriarty?

Moriarty is the owner of the Bitcoin Network which consists of 50+ bitcoin sites.

I could be blind but I see no connections between the two

*Note to theymos: Any ad money accepted from this man (moriartybitcoin) should be given straight to user rickyjames. Whether to then run the ads or not is up to you, I wouldn't though.*

Thanks Pal.  Not sure what else I can do...  I guess RickyJames goes to the cops which is the last thing I wanted.  I really thought bitcoin would help us get away from this overbearing government but we need ip addresses from Theymos and different hosting companies and it looks like FBI or FEDS is the only thing at this point.  Moriarty is still being a punk bitch and holding on to the coins.   Some people

For laughs....  Moriarty being a scammy low life

Fun Emails

Have you ever seen an asshole up close?
Take a look at this email.  So remember, RickyJames sends $80,000 to bitlaunder. Waits 24 hours. Then emails.  Then sends support emails and opens support tickets. He continues to send emails for 4 days until he finally emails me to try and contact Moriarty. Moriarty denies knowing anything about this large deposit, then kinda remembers it, then recalls he kept it because they were hacked coins, then realizes they aren't, then agrees to give them back....  You'd assume with an apology right?
Let's read....

So, Moriarty decided he would return his coins today. BUT Moriarty is very clear RJ is paying that 3% fee for all the days Michael just sat there and didn't do shit!  So here are the 3 reasons that Michael Moriarty is not refunding ALL his bitcoin...
1. He is threatening me.  (You did steal $80k you know)
2. He is impatient!  (Makes sense, site says 24 hours, you responded to a journalist after 4, then took 4 more days to admit you had em..  I agree- impatient!  Jeeezus!
3. Never once sent him an email befor throwing 127 btc into a pool of 5. (Cause the site clearly says jack shit about a limit or pool size)
Makes sense, RickyJames is a dickface, Moriarty is God.

Here Moriarty is so kind after 2 weeks of holding Ricky James coins to say, well he sent 127 he is only getting 125 back, 3% Fee. So, he was paid to steal.  What a great guy this Michael Moriarty.

Here is where he flat out admits it. Says he followed my evidence and agrees, Ricky James and his coins are clean. SO he says he will be getting them back.  SPOILER ALERT: He sent 0.01 and stole $80,000

If you are wondering how this all could have been avoided, lets checkin and see Michael's answer.  He is the king of logical...
"This all could have been avoided if RJ only would have sent an email before overwhelming the pool.  But what's done is done.  Yes!  It is so simple!  Email before overwhelming the pool.  SO AFTER ALL THIS YOU DO REALIZE RIGHT.....

Michael has returned 0.01 of the 127.00 btc he owes Ricky.

Please email him at moriarty.bitcoin@gmail.com and tell him he is a pathetic scammy pussy!
