Sporting have a huge opportunity ahead of them now. Because while they are hosting Portimonense, there is going to be a huge game between Porto and Benfica on the same week. Benfica couldn't defeat Porto in an away game for a long period of time. Now they both are having a wonderful season. I expect each team to have a big difficulty in this game. In case Porto lose points, Sporting can capture the lead.

Maybe the matchup between Atletico Madrid and Manchester United is not between the biggest candidates of the CL title. But they are still strong teams on paper. On the other hand, their recent forms have been not very satisfying. Atletico Madrid have lost so many points in the La Liga lately and they barely advanced to this round of the CL. And Manchester United couldn't even defeat Newcastle last. But there is still a long time for this matchup. Things could change but I'll still be favoring the Red Devils.

Even if Chelsea draw with Brighton today, they are still going to take the second place from Liverpool by one point. But I don't think that Chelsea will content themselves with only a draw in this.  Maybe this is a tough game but I believe in them. As they have Lukaku in their attacking line also, I expect them to win by one goal in the worst case. Chelsea should be able to maintain a win streak to pull themselves together.

Coutinho now has an unclear future at Barcelona after Xavi informed that Coutinho could not get regular playing time at Barcelona, from some media that I have read it says that currently Coutinho's agent is in London to discuss the possibility of Coutinho moving to Arsenal, but Apart from Arsenal, it turns out that there are several other clubs who also want to get coutinho from Barcelona, namely Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Newcastle United, I hope that countiho will prefer to join Arsenal this season, because Arsenal really need an attacking midfielder like Coutinho.

This is good news for me. Because I really liked to watch him in the Premier League before. He was performing much better at Liverpool before joining Barcelona. And in the La Liga, he was really terrible. He couldn't adapt to the environment and I think that it is already time he came back to the Premier League. Arsenal would really make great use of an attacking midfielder like him. He can contribute to the team a lot by his experience.

It is difficult to determine whether Nagelsman is a top trainer. Bayern Munich has been so good in recent years that you can become champion with every coach there, right? I also did not find the choice for Nagelsmann logical, a young trainer with little experience at a high level. Then someone like Klopp would be a better fit. Or maybe Van Gaal, he's taken now but he was free last year. Let's see how Bayern is doing, they will easily win the title in this division.

Julian Nagelsmann has managed three teams so far: Hoffenheim, Leipzig and Bayern Munich. And he proved himself especially while he was managing Leipzig. Because they competed with Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title for so many weeks. Maybe they were off the competition on the last weeks of the season. But they still had a great season. Nagelsmann is called as one of the youngest good managers now. He is only 34 years old now.  Cheesy

What do you think about the Napoli team? Will we see Napoli in third place in the table after the next 10 matches? I think Napoli will lose more points in the upcoming matches. Juventus is playing well now. They may be able to take the place of Napoli. But I'm not sure about Atalanta. They are a good team, a stable squad. However, they have lost points in the last two matches. If they want to play in the Champions League next season, they have to improve their performance.

Napoli are definitely one of the solid teams of the Serie A. I was really hopeful about them after seeing their start to the season. However, they started making big mistakes in simple games for themselves. The thing that they need to focus on is to improve their performance in offense a lot. And they shouldn't underestimate any of their opponents. Otherwise, they would continue to make simple loss of points like they did against Spezia.

Barcelona have made their move by signing Ferran Torres. Of course, there will be an adaptation process for him here. However, I don't think that it will take him a long time to adapt them. Because Manchester City have a very similar game plan to Barcelona. Guardiola is their manager in the end. We should be seeing a striker move from Barcelona also. They don't have a strong striker in the team right now.

St Pauli and Darmstadt are competing with each other superbly. They both already have a decent gap with the rest of the teams. It has been a long time since we saw any of these teams in the Bundesliga as far as I remember. We have just got past the half of the season. If these teams manage to keep this effort level, we could see them promoting to the Bundesliga directly.

Anyway, Deal has been completed for Ferran Torres. Barcelona will pay €55m guaranteed plus €10m in installments. Promising 21 years old striker and has been scoring quite frequently for Spain but it seems that he is not getting that regular spot in manchester City

Source : Fabrizio Romano

I'm happy for Barcelona to finish this deal. Maybe they paid a great sum to Manchester City to be able to sign Ferran Torres. But he was one of Xavi's primary targets to sign in the end. Considering the fact, it wouldn't be big deal for them I guess. Ferran Torres is still a very young player. And I believe that he is a promising player too. I still am surprised how Manchester City let him go. I hope that he contributes to Barcelona superbly for many years.

I'm really enjoying the standings now as we are seeing Inter and Milan at the top again after the last season. I wonder which one of them will be able to make it to the Serie A championship this time. I hope that we will see Milan becoming the champions at the end of the current season. We saw Inter in the last season and now it is time for a change I think. But Milan should work really hard to make it real.

Both Inter and Milan have been really good in the last weeks, they won easily, I wonder which one will be the champion. I support Milan, even though Zlatan ibrahimovic is forty years old, he continues to score crazy goals in Serie A. I wish this man got the serie A cup at 40, He still works hard for this to always be good. The Napoli team was doing well, but due to the consecutive defeats in the last weeks, it fell to the 3rd place.

I like especially one thing about Milan now. It is that they are playing strongly with or without Zlatan Ibrahimovic. By the way, he is really performing in a great way despite being really old for a footballer. But even if he retires soon, Milan have showed the thing to us already that they would still be playing as a real team. As long as they keep this level in the next years too, they can continue to be a part of the championship race in this league.

I wonder whether there will be any team to stop Real Madrid's high dominance in the La Liga this season.
Maybe not, but it's still possible to see Real Madrid drop some point in the next 19 match.
So far Real Madrid has a pretty far point difference between its competitors. Usually Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are the toughest rivals every season, but this season Real Madrid lead Laliga like nothing is going to stop them. Barcelona's poor form has turned La Liga into the most boring to watch among European league. I think we have no choice but to support Barcelona's performance improvement so that Laliga's rating can be good again.

But in 2022 we may have a little better hope to see Barcelona find their best form again. Real Madrid will continue to dominate, so that is undeniable in the current situation.

For the next season, I really have big hopes about Barcelona. They should primarily focus on making their current financial condition much stronger than now. In this way, they will be able to sign the players they really need. Because I don't have big expectations from them with the current lineup. They should make important additions to some specific positions. And as long as they have a good coherence in the team after that, they can be one of the number one contenders for the league title.

For me, the biggest candidates for the Europa Conference League title are Roma and Leicester. And according to the championship odds also, these teams are the absolute favourite teams. And I see Roma as one step ahead truthfully. I believe that they are a little more capable team than Leicester. Moreover, I would really like to see a finale between these two teams. It would be really good to draw people's attention to the game.

Boxing Day has been going on great! We have started with many high-scoring games to the day. Manchester City v Leicester was a really superb one. It ended by a 6-3 victory for Manchester City and I definitely wasn't expecting this many goals. Arsenal demolished Norwich away also by 5-0. These were the most attention getting games for me. And now, Chelsea are 2-1 ahead thanks to Lukaku's entering the game in the second half and scoring right away.
Speaking of the boxing day to be great, I think Arsenal always have good luck whenever they play on the boxing day and I could remember when they beat Chelsea 3-1 in last years boxing day game in the Premier League.
What amazed me is that A. Lacazette scored a penalty and Bukayo Saka was also among the goal scorer in last years boxing day game.

I believe it is now a tradition of the Gunners Grin

Yeah, it is like a tradition for them. And I think that Saka is a really talented player actually. So far he scored 5 goals and made 4 assists in 19 PL games. He is only 20 now and valued at the level of €65m currently. If he continues to show his talent a lot, maybe we can even see him at a bigger team later. Generally, Manchester City are after this kind of players and it wouldn't be surprised to see him there in the future.  Grin

Yeah and also 3 goals in the current one, wasn't expecting Chelski to get so "many" goals but one's a penalty and one's Lukaku (also someone else I wasn't expecting to come on).

Happy night for anyone who took over 2.5s, I was considering an entire acca of 2.5 overs tonight, don't know why I second-guessed myself.

Kane, Lukaku, Sterling, all on scoresheet. Feels weird huh Wink

Yeah, it is really interesting to see this trio scoring today.  Grin  Especially Harry Kane and Lukaku didn't make a good start to this season of the EPL. They both had 2 goals before their games today. But thankfully, each one of them scored another goal today and improved their self-confidence hopefully. These are both top strikers and noone would like to see them struggling a lot.

As I can see, Fiorentina's young forward Dusan Vlahovic could be one of the targets for some big clubs in the next transfer window. But most probably, I think that we won't see him leaving the team until the end of the season. And it is obvious that he won't be extending his current contract. His contract is going to expire in the summer of 2023. But he will most likely leave the team to join a big club in next summer.

The rumours about Paul Pogba have always been existing for a long time. They have said most of the time that he would join PSG, Juventus or Real Madrid. Or he would stay at Manchester United. But for now, his possibility for staying seems to be a small one. Because he still hasn't extended his contract. And as of the beginning of January, he is going to be able to be signed without a transfer fee. So, I believe that he will leave.

It is halftime in the Milwaukee Bucks vs Boston Celtics game now. Celtics ended the half 62-47 ahead. Giannis is finally able to play for Bucks after a break of five games. However, he is not performing as usual because of its being his first game after being absent I guess. Celtics want to make use of their vulnerability now. But I'm waiting for seeing a resistance by Bucks in the second half as much as possible. But at the end, Celtics would be the winner I guess.

I hope that we don't see more postponements this weekend as there are already three games in this situation. There are two striking games tomorrow to me. These are Manchester City v Leicester and Aston Villa v Chelsea obviously. I see Manchester City and Chelsea as the favourites of these games. Manchester City can defeat their opponent clearly. Leicester might try to fight back but it won't be enough I guess. And Chelsea would have a big difficulty in this one. But they need to end this streak without a win and they will make it I suppose.
