I do not understand how a hacker can find or break a private key in an online wallet like MEW just by knowing the password on WIFI. Yes, I do not know the hack world, but being careful about using passwords and keeping private keys is absolutely essential.
They hacked the DNS and attacked MEW through there and the hacker leads the users after visiting MEW redirecting them to a phishing site. And in that case, that's how they collect data, private keys,JSON file, etc. that will allow them to gain access to the funds of the users. If you are careful and you shouldn't put too much ETH in MEW. This is how they did the attack and hack (Correct me if I'm wrong). This kind of problem is not new nowadays and in fact this method is the one used to attack etherdelta that caused great loss to both investor and the exchange site. Hey etherdelta is the exchange it is not private key secured as I know. I do not know why you are comparing the exchange wallet with the MEW. These both are different variant mate. I do not find the people using the wifi or on sharing network loosing their fund on MEW wallet. I have more 6 tokens in 2 MEW wallets but I did not get any issue. DNS spoofing is possible but how could accept that they can track your private key or json file. If DNS changing means you are not on a right URL. If we make correct, we will not get the problem at all. |

Be careful when you use Metamask web browser plugin, because after using it I was robbed !!!
I see various people using the metamask as the lightweight wallet and test net while making the smart contract project. So far there is no any news which is relevant to metamask and no hacking issue as well. Still I have used the ERC20 address without the help of metamask. I do not trust any third party but I have read their privacy agreement says they will not be accessing to your wallet's private seed side at all. Then you want to speak about the any topic better create the own thread. Simply making the post on in active thread on this forum is not good bro. |

I see their website and found that still a ICO project in the market. They have states that algebraix empower the individuals to handle data of advertising platform and can make the money out of it. Hope you didn't invest in BTC your life savings on December - 1 month after you wrote this. I remember in december everyone was telling BTC will not dump again o it's going to $50k. News was telling people selling house and putting BTC to be rich.
IF bought the bitcoin in the time of December also he will be able to get the profit in next year for sure. Since the bitcoin price potential is not reached upto the expected value still we do not able to find the any other coins comparing on bitcoin's price. If you want to make the life better with the bitcoin, even today is also the right time to invest your fund on bitcoins as much you can. "Stable price" it's not stable if it's just going down every year. Maybe you have the same amount of dollars you had before but your buying power decreases and this is what is actually matter. i have tried to join every compaign listed but there rules and regulation are so much confusing sometime that some could not understand and if some one is not understanding what to do or how to do then how is he going to make profit.
