501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GDC] GadgetCoin | Smart Contracts on Hardware | IoT | M2M on: November 18, 2014, 07:41:56 AM
how you going to compete with ethereum and bitbay? too many coins try to do decentralized markets, exchanges, smart contracts.

No, GadgetCoin doesn't implement a decentralized market place, we are focusing only on one area and trying to do that very well, which is smart contracts on Internet of Things. Ethereum and BitBay are great projects and we don't compete with them, GadgetCoin will be more a complement to existing solutions. Even Ethereum and BitBay will be able to use our API, and we envision a mutually beneficial partnership with all digital currencies.

Do you know Tilecoin? Can you compare these two great project?

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to outline the structure of release for the ICO funds.

- 500 btc at completion of ico / delivery of initial wallet. (This threshold has been met.)
- 500 btc at delivery of wallet with integrated smart contracts
- 500 btc at delivery of our decentralized marketplace
-  Balance of funds after 60 days of stable marketplace performance. At this time the BitBay team will also be releasing its Phase 2 road map.

All totals and additional ICO fund information can be confirmed with Bter exchange.

Thanks for all your support so far. We especially appreciate the high staking rate we have achieved already in the network, and we look forward to some exciting times in the next weeks with the new wallet & smart contracts.

Bitbay Team

Very good, can you post the around time table too?

@All, this project is very promising, developers has achieved what they promised on time and I think they will honor their promised things too, of course, there are many FUD in community especially in Chinese community, I think they are whales, logically,  on one will take much effect to do something which they don't care.

@DEV

Thank you guys bring this fantastic tech to community, I have a question, how can you implement reverse-transaction, like  I buy a goods but when  I receive it I found it's bad, so how can you deal with this scenario, can you explain it in tech perspective?

Because its double deposit the contracts are unbreakable. Please read my whitepaper at BitHalo.org. By both parties making an advanced deposit they have to work together. Escrow extensions are allowed but if they dont play nice the money is destroyed.

Thanks Dave. I'm sure you'll have more of these questions tomorrow during the AMA. It's the learning curve. We understand. Thanks again.

Thanks very much, what about the legal issues, as you know if some guys trade drugs, guns etc using BitBay, there will be government intervention, it will harm the whole crypto currency world, I suppose you have considered this thing in your design, can you share some information to the community?

509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN:[BAY] BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|ICO on Bter on: November 07, 2014, 09:39:24 AM
If wallets are available before ICO starts, that's perfect, I don't know why you guys postpone the date after 14/11/2014, just three days later than my suggestion, I guess you have no confidence that your wallet will work, correct?

Our core wallets and coins have already been tested and we are eagerly awaiting confirmation from Crypto Certify (https://www.cryptocertify.com/) with their official (certified) builds of our Windows and Mac wallets. Because of this, the ICO dates are still tentative until we receive the final word from their service. Even if the dates vary slightly, we will keep the community updated as to any changes. Thanks!

It seems make sense, do you know Tilecoin which focuses on IoT, the IPO amount is only 542 BTC, why you guys want 3000 BTC, do you think this one is much better than Tilecoin?

Why would I post a git of our development if I was trying to run a scam suchnekky?
Why we we produce 11,000 lines of code?
Your concern of me being offline for X amount of days might have been a concern for you and others.

I also opened my bitmessage and saw a message.
Can you please PM me with what your message contains and why you are contacting me?

The reason I did not leave the names of developers in the GIT was because we have so called NDA's in place and I have to request their approval.

You have valid concerns about the 95% of other coins. Not this one... Are focus is to be in the Top 5%.
Those 95% of coins are knock offs from other coins and add no real value. Some do and innovation is key.

Are you a developer?
Do you know how much time and technical expertise it takes to create these types of projects?
If you do not believe in this project suchnekky, that is fine. Please leave and move on.

Anyone who posts on here before asking me for specific clarifications and spreading false accusations without asking me first, is not acceptable.
