501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: February 28, 2024, 08:37:13 AM
Quiting gambling is not something that could be done at once the decision is made it got to be a gradual process, depending on the level of addiction it could take months even a year to finally let go of the gambling habit. It's easy to criticize people for things we don't understand as it affects them and that's very bad an approach to take on on people that are in themselves trying their best to quit gambling.

What such persons need is a constant reminder that they can end the bad gamblinh habit, talking them into understanding they are in charge of their decisions and that there's always a way out of any situation when there's a will. Criticizing them of their weakness can only exacerbate their inability to fight against the urge to quit and we should all know this now.
502  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Crypto scamming gambling sites on: February 28, 2024, 07:49:48 AM
Im wondering, can scams like this just keep on going? who could shut scams like this down?
Unfortunately, no one can stop or shut down such shady sites because they know that no governmental authority will waste their time on searching for gambling sites and their locations so that's why they scam others without any worries.

Even on this forum we always alert members about such sites, a similar site 1xBit has been scamming its users for many years but no one is yet able to do anything against them. They have been running their scam empire for many years freely without any worries and yet no one can even take legal action against them.
You are not far from the truth @SamReomo, just check out the piles of scam reports that have been made against a scam site like 1xbit both here in the bitcointalk community and outside yet no government or it's agency has been able to clamp down on 1xbit and a host of other scam casinos that are online feeding on the ignorance and gullibility of both old and newbie gamblers.

And it is this ineptitude on the side of the government to go after them with full force that has given them the courage and strong will to continuously without fear to keep perpetrating their illegalities. From what am seeing, taking a legal actions against them is tantamount to a waste of time. Am saying this because these scam casinos seem to have a wide network of powerful connection in the society that not a single or a few individual can bring them down except if the government genuinely decides to hook them down.

It's a clarion call for we to never faint from doing a thorough research about any casino you about to use for the first and have no antecedent knowledge about them or better still go with the casinos we have here in the forum for less worries from scam.

So what do you mean exactly by 1xbit being a scam?
Why are you ranting when the records are there for even the blind to see. What other meaning are you asking for or are you exactly new to the gambling board or the forum entirely?

505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the highest amount of money you've ever bet in a single game? on: February 27, 2024, 04:59:09 PM
1. The highest amount of money that I have bet was $500 on the AFCON finals between Nigeria and Ivory Coast. I was so confidence that Nigeria will win the match, because they lucky won Ivory Coast in their last match on the group stage, and I felt that Nigeria had a good defense and a good goalkeeper, that it will be impossible for the Ivorians to penetrate into their defense, but I got everything all wrong.

2. Nigeria lost the game 2-1, after taking the lead on the first half, the Ivorians did a welcome back and scored two goals in the second half.

3. I cannot afford to lose such amount, but over confidence made me to do that, which made me stopped gambling for two weeks, as a result of my actions.
The confidence that was built in the minds of many football fans about Nigeria winning that AFCON final against Ivorian team was due to how the Ivorian team qualified to get to that stage. There best loser's qualification from the group stage blinded a lot of people from believing that they can have a good chance against winning Nigeria. And till date I still remember a lot of colleagues that lost money to that loss from Nigeria as they all bet in favour of Nigeria and am not excluded from the loss of $100,  even though the amount for me was much but I don't like losing such amount at a single shot but like you said overconfidence took the better part of us.

509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Unusual Story that Reflects the Current Gambling Addiction Reality on: February 26, 2024, 09:21:15 PM
Today, I sat amongst a group of people and listened to them as they shared a story that indirectly reflects how terrible the spate of gambling addiction is. It became evident to me that this addiction transcends demographics such as age, marital status, ethnicity, and religious beliefs, but appears to be more prevalent among males.
The prevalence is not surprising to me being among males, there are high number of male gamblers  than the females. For in a gathering of 10 gamblers you may rarely see a single female gambler in that circle that's just a simple example to the extend the males populate the total figure, which is expected that the high rate of addiction should come from the gender with the highest number that gambles.

Quote
In this group a person shared a story of how a married reached out to her for medical assistance to support his wife terminal illness treatment. Instead of providing his wife's account details as requested, he offered his own. Concerned that the funds might be misused, particularly for gambling, the person offering assistance insisted on the wife's account details. However, the conversation ended there, with no further response from the man.

he stranger offering aid had no prior acquaintance with the husband. Why then was there apprehension that the funds might fuel gambling rather than support the wife's medical needs?

This short story reflects the current reality we live in.
In this case I sense the stranger who offers to give a financial assistance to their plight must have got an information about the man's gambling behaviour before now and that is what's making her taking precautionary measures by ensuring the money goes directly into the man's wife account than to his as he could be tempted to divert that money into gambling to satisfy his uncontrollable gambling urge.

This story from the op brings to light how evil addiction to anything in general can be and for those of us who are still in control we should strive with all conscientiousness never to fall victim of addiction of any kind. I have heard and seen gamblers who are famished but prefers to use the only money at their disposal to stake a game order that using it to get something to eat to quench their hunger. It's no joke, gambling addiction is real.
510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 26, 2024, 06:44:18 PM
Xabi to Bayern or Liverpool will be the only things that will make sense. I still think that he needs to grow a bit and eventually he will go to Real Madrid, they do tend to hire managers that have some more guaranteed results, like they want to see a manager be great at somewhere else before they hire them, so Xabi had just one year, not even a full one, so they wouldn't offer him.

Ancelotti will stay for a while longer, meanwhile Xabi will go to either Bayern or Liverpool, as we all can guess he will do great in those clubs and then he will go to Real. This is what I believe will happen, this is of course just my guess and I mixavight be wrong but that's what I believe will happen. This is why it would be smart for him to leave.
To me I feels like xavi Alonso to Liverpool is a match made in heaven, because statistically, Liverpool have always hired a manager that wouldn't put them under much pressure, since they are operating with a lower budget compared to the likes of Manchester City, Manchester united and Chelsea.
Secondly, Liverpool is a club he knows in and out, he knows what it entails to be a manager of Liverpool football club, so I believe that his acclimatization to the environment wouldn't be an issue if he is hired as the manager of Liverpool.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 26, 2024, 06:15:25 PM
Fulham can break the bad trend at Old Traford. After 21 years without a win, Fulham was finally able to win 1-2. After a good trend in 7 matches they finally lost at home. It seems that Hojlound's injury is making Man United difficult. They also did not perform well in the extra minutes of the second half. This made Man United lose 3 points. The chances of entering the Europa League Zone are getting harder again. Luckily Totenham also lost to Wolves, so their point gap is not far.

This was one of those games that would have cost me the bet slip but damn thank god I didn't submit anything. Exactly during times when everyone thinks that Ten Hag is getting things done and getting things right and that Manchester United is on the right path to qualify for the Europa League at least, I thought that this must be a guaranteed win at Old Trafford. I guess everybody thought that. But what is really insane is how equal that game was. It wasn't as if Fulham had only two attempts and was lucky enough to hit them both. Fulham had lots of attempts and was able to create so many chances over the course of the whole game that in summary it must be said that this game was several steps back for Manchester United. With that shape I doubt that they will achieve anything of significance this season.
I just have a bitter sweet feeling about this man united loss at the weekend as a football fan, the sweet feeling was that, due to the strings of matches they have won, if they had  continued that way, they will feel that the team doesn't need any strengthening especially in midfield and defense, but the bitter feeling is that, the loss was a massive step backward in their quest for champions league competition, but for this Manchester united team to achieve their aim of qualifying for Europe most prestigious tournament, they just have to be more consistent in grinding out results, even when they are not in their best form.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 25, 2024, 07:40:32 PM
It was a narrow escape for Liverpool who came against another stronger team Chelsea,  but then Liverpool is the king of the tournament and for sure managing to win with a 1 goals to none is good,  and for sure since the closest to them Manchester city also won with same goal amount of just 1:0 which will keep them away from the closing up on them on the table but with the current outcome of both clubs it gives Liverpool more time to keep the possibility window to go on with the current title winning based on points.
Looking at Liverpool lineup, I never gave them a chance. I am disappointed in Chelsea, they couldn’t get a win against these youngsters Klopp brought on. I wonder how they would have fared if Liverpool had their main midfielders present today. I don’t think the game would have went into extra time.
Chelsea has constantly being a disappointment to fans this season irrespective of how minor the calibre of players they play against they  still make room for disappointment. Just like other games before now  Chelsea missed a lot of goal chances and in football chances are what you use to convert goals to your side to win a game but that's one thing lacking among Chelsea attackers which is why they keep losing even games they should win. A lack of clinical finishers that are hungry for goals is Chelsea's main problem. Going by history, sequentially this is the 6th final the Blues would be losing at  Wembley. Congratulations to Liverpool winner carabao cup 23/24.

How can I choose the best betting site that provides me with a safe betting experience?
Does this site provide a high level of safety for its players?
I need help from those with experience in this field
There many betting sites out there with more new bet sites adding up to the numbers which is why to save myself from the headache of  searching for reputable sites with great experience staging from the platforms interface/features, fairness of it's games and fast deposit/withdrawal etc the forum is where I select the crypto bet sites I make use of and it has been really safe for use.

You can make your way to the gambling board where all the casino's in the forum have their announcement thread about every informations you would want to know about a casino of your choice including bonuses too. And speaking of bonuses and all other incredible gambling services, Freebitco.in could be exactly what you are looking for from a gambling site.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outcomes of insighting gambling for a source of income. on: February 25, 2024, 12:43:44 PM
Losing is an expected aspect of gambling which to me there's nothing wrong in experiencing losing as a gambler. The losses and winnings must interact but it's more adored to have more winnings than losses. What I don't subscribe to is using money not meant for gambling to gamble, it's a risk not worth giving into, using a business money in gambling under the auspices of doubling it is just another form of irresponsibility and lack of objectivity to the person.

The worst set of friends to have are those friends that can't put you on track when you're falling off from it and when you have those sets of people as gambling friends be rest assured you will run out of finances recklessly and they would make you feel you're still doing alright at it when conspicuously within you you feeling something isn't just right but their company makes it all appear right.

GERMANY: Bundesliga: Werder Bremen - Darmstadt  GG or over 2.5

ENGLAND: Premier League: Manchester Utd - Fulham 2-5 goals (multiple goals)

SPAIN: LaLiga: Barcelona - Getafe: Home win.

@nutildah,

If you did picked the predictions I offered then congratulations to you as I just checked the results of the games and found out they all played.

Results:
Werder Bremen - Darmstadt 1:1
Manchester Utd - Fulham 1:2
'Barcelona - Getafe 3:0

The Barcelona vs Getafe game is still ongoing but looking at the scores at 87 minutes to full-time Getafe doesn't stand a chance.

Cheers if you picked my prediction.

No I didn't but it appears you got 3/4 picks (just the "or over 2.5" of the 1st match was incorrect), so I'm sending you what I think is enough merits for you to rank up.
Much gratitude for the merits left to my rank up as a hero member.

But I just want to point  out something you probably be missing in that prediction. It's like a two-in-one prediction where if the both teams had a 1:1 score then it played or if the a single team scored three goals upwards then it also played. So it about two different options in one that if anyone of the two occurs then it's still a win.

The 1:1 result was actually a win in the prediction. You can inquire from close gambling friends around you for clarity about that option if my explanation isn't that clear to you. Thanks.

This particular sportsbook has a lot of events & leagues to choose from and tends to have relatively decent odds, so any suggestions not too out of the ordinary would probably work just fine.

Thanks!

Let 'em rip.
Much talks wouldn't solve this I guess so I'll just have to go straight to business. Mind you, am not a ln expert but just a usual gambler like every other gamblers you know and for the records am a lover of sports bet football in particular. So I'll drop a few  games from my bet I made just this morning.

Premiership this season have become so tight and very hard to know who will win. We can say that the league is open and anyone among Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal can win it. Liverpool may be leading with sixty points against Manchest City at fifty six points and Arsenal at fifty five points but both Arsenal and Manchester City have outstanding matches which if won will bring the gap closer to two points and one point respectively.
What is outplaying in the points difference among the three major teams of this season in the English premier league is what makes the EPL very interesting and exceptional from all other leagues in the world. The competitiveness is high with no team maintaining dominance over the league in a straightforward manner that makes other teams only struggling to stick behind just as we find in other leagues where a  particular club assumes the league title each season for years without interruptions.

So I agree with you mate the league is still open for Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal and this I am sure is creating a whole lot of pressure on them all as any drop in points only means a disaster to the team's chance of staying competitive for the title.
