501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites including unsolicited games in betslips to ensure it fails on: February 20, 2024, 02:34:12 PM
On several occasions, a friend has complained that he often sees games he didn't include in his multi-bet slip. And those bets are of games that obviously will fail which then renders his ticket useless.

I ask, has someone else noticed this same thing, as he said he has noticed in two different betting sites. I want to know if its a global practice to expect or a thing with the betting company or that the both betting sites were a coincidence.

Remember, he has series of wins that has been repeated for a long time and he has made serious profit from both platforms without betting with up to 3% of what he has won in total.
I haven't gotten such experience before, I haven't even heard of it. I think before you place your bet, you will have to review it before going ahead to stake. At what points did they add this other games, is it at the point of you staking to play or at the point of viewing the games, because after selecting my games and I tried to review it and see other games that i initially did not put, it is for me at that point to remove them.
If it has been a reoccurring decimal with the betting site, where they add up games for people that did not select those games, then I feel to a enlarge extend that, is more like a criminal offense if the betting company is fond of doing this.  Please OP, what's the name of this betting site?
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 20, 2024, 01:44:41 PM
I think Chelsea needs to make a revolution. Since Abramovich left, I have seen Chelsea's performance continue to decline and currently their fate is almost the same as United. I also feel sorry for Chelsea who are always unlucky in the transfer market where they often get low quality players at high prices. I hope Chelsea will be able to achieve a miracle in the next season. With the number of points they have, Chelsea can rise to seventh place or drop to sixteenth place. This is still realistic if you look at the other teams' points at the moment.
Come on my man, don't compare Chelsea with King Manchester United, Manchester United haven't lose in the last seven matches even though they were struggling just like Chelsea, but there's a significant progress in Manchester United than Chelsea.

Manchester United is currently at 6th position, I won't be surprised if they can enter Champions or Europa League in the next season.

That kingship Manchester united used to enjoy was at the time of sir Ferguson, recently I can categorically say Manchester united are slightly better than Chelsea for the last couple of years, but not entirely just slightly. I honestly agree that since Abrahamovich left Chelsea, they haven't remained the same. The Russian billionaire was so passionate about Chelsea's performance at every point, and the need to bring in a better coach to steer the wheels was always at his top of agenda.
So if you're arguing that Manchester United is better than Chelsea, I want to also point it to you that Manchester United is filled with inconsistency performance wise, even though they are at 6th position on the league table.

504  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you won a bet with your last cash? on: February 19, 2024, 07:03:43 PM
Luck is not something that comes all the time and that's what makes it special when it comes to you while you are gambling, some people cheat when they gamble and they said is luck which are all lies but inside them they already know that it want luck but cheating.
However I was lucky to win a bet with my last stake some days ago and I am happy for that, that's why I have to bring it here let's discuss about it, whether you have also win some amount of money with your last stake. I went to a betting shop around my locality then I bet with $10 and lose all of them so I was holding  up to $1 separately for transporting my self back to my residence, but funny how I staked with my transport money and won.
Although, I had more money on  my account that I can use for transporting my self back to my house if incase I lost the physical cash, that was why I wasn't afraid to stake with it.
Well, mine wasn't my last cash actually, it was more like the least amount I had on my bet account, so I tried it for the last time with just two odds I selected from premier League matches that where about to kickoff that evening and surprisingly I won.
The feeling was out of this world. I don't know if I should say it was luck or my predictions where correct but then it was a special moment for me. But however the decision you took was quite risky, what if the game didn't go the way you predicted, I believed you would have walked home or maybe made that transfer from your bank I guess.
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Wins: Your Money Was Returned to You. on: February 19, 2024, 06:52:05 PM
There have been saying that before you win a game in gambling, you would have lost enough funds and that means you didn't win any new or extra money to yourself but the casino return part of your money which you have lost before to you. And some will still say that what about those who have not playing gamble before and they won in their first day in gambling. Well those people newly converts to the gambling system will still dash the casino company that win again because the first time win is always to lure them to the system and making them to perpetual adoration to gamble. And I don't think someone in the gambling industry has as a win win gambling history. Or you wins are bigger than the loss. And all the experiences I have in gambling I have not seen that and also those of my friends who are gamblers have not to me that they only win and there is no loss record in their gambling history. And all the ones I have seen and known, the loses are more than the wins. And when I carefully look at the argument I also accept the assertion that what you win was part of your loss. Is that true? Make your input.
That's absolutely a false narrative,  check the amount of money that you normally lose when the predictions doesn't go your way, the amount is not always huge. That is to say, most times you're stake's are little compared to the bonus and the amount of odds the bet company gives you, if you combine your bonuses and the odd together your total win is always big, so at the end of the day the bet companion stands a the chances of losing more money if your prediction are correct.
So whatever you lose is nothing to be compared to what the bet company stands to lose when you win big. Don't also forget that there are some gamblers that win, day in day out on a steady. So your win is not part of your losses because they give more bonuses and high odds for you to win better than the little amount you always stake to win.
506  Economy / Economics / Re: Is increase in minimum wage a good method to fight inflation? on: February 19, 2024, 03:15:44 PM
Unfortunately  its not an easy solution that works.  Cost of labor is a cost in the economy like anything else.   Workers can be paid more but also efficiency must increase in order to combat inflation.   If people are literally dying off because they arent being paid fairly its an arguable situation to a lesser extent but I dont think its safe to overly pursue a policy of minimum wages as a solution to failures elsewhere.  Its the emergency backup or safeguard rather then the actual fix to inflation and other failings.
However, hence the inflation is high, it eats deep into the purchasing powers of the citizens, that is why some persons are arguing that, increase in the minimum wage on the side of government will help to balance the purchasing powers of the citizens and it wouldn't be a bad idea because their purchasing powers are weak. It doesn't stop the government to fight the root cause of inflation, but the situation whereby citizens cannot easily afford things they basically used to as a result of inflation then the idea of increasing their pay becomes reasonable.
507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 18, 2024, 07:57:29 PM
Manchester United was fortunate to grab significant points from Luton Town. They came for the winning points and they successfully achieved their target, though it comes with hefty hardwork and defensive strategies from the players and Erik Ten Hag. Manchester United players did make actual errors but with defensive backup, they redeemed themselves and points out victory. They kove an ede on the EPL table and they now aim for the top four this season. Rasmus Højlund is the man of the match because he netted a brace in the early minutes of the game.

Yep Manutd defend well in the 2nd half, but if the opponent is other big teams - Im not sure Manutd able to hold like that.
But still, its a sign of progress and Manutd is far more better than last year. The incoming of Sir Jim Ratcliffe" really bring positive energy for Manutd.
Manchester United where not too impressive that first half, just that the goal they scored gave them some edge. Luton town played very well but just that they had hardluck. I was even surprised to see rose Barkley playing for Luton town, he is one of the good player that has been around the premier League for quite some time, he was more like the few experience player they had.
Radford and Bruno Fernandez wasted a lot of chance too for Manchester United, however I was impressed with Luton town performance because they were the underdog anf they played impressively no matter that they lost the match.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 17, 2024, 06:28:43 PM
Chelsea's performance this first half has been very brilliant, they've had more chances to score more than Manchester city side, Jackson just missed a one on one with Manchester city goal keeper, sterling had same chance too to score but was clumsy with the ball. Chelsea have really put some pressure on Manchester city with their counter attack style of play. Chelsea just need to utilize their opportunity if not, Manchester city can bounce back and make huge surprise against them.
I've never watched Chelsea play so well like they've done thus far against the Manchester City side. They are playing so well like a team, have had very few chnaces on target but, those chances where so precisely created, missed such great chances like the one with N. Jackson but you can find them finding away to always go forward and having a well coordinated backline.
All that have turned put to be very resourceful especially those runs from the side that catches the Manchester City defence unaware, enabling Chelsea to create those one on one goal opportunities with the goalkeeper and Sterling has got his goal.
The final whistle is gone and Chelsea takes the lead in halftime.
Yes, is as if Chelsea had a different spirit today against Manchester City, maybe it's because it's a big game so they need to prove themselves, However Chelsea have been  able to destabilize Manchester City attacking Force this evening at least for these first half. The goal would have been more than one goal for this first half if not for the chances Chelsea missed. One thing I notice about Manchester City is that, once they are under pressure they find it difficult to compose themselves and do all those their magic that they normally do. Chelsea should try and maintain the tempo during the second half, because Manchester city would like to give a serious fight.
509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 17, 2024, 06:12:27 PM
That's absolutely true because of the outstanding match left for Manchester city to play. I doubt Chelsea FC would even be able to hold them tonight to a draw because with De Bruyne back and the midfield in complete lock, the Chelsea attackers would have to rely on mostly set pieces and quick counter if they are to secure any goal.
Manchester City's performance is quite good and I'm not sure Chelsea can stop Manchester City, let alone Manchester City which has just been filled with its flagship players. Maybe with Chelsea's performance being quite bad so far, Manchester City will easily beat Chelsea.
Not to underestimate Chelsea, but we also have to look at the strength of the two teams and there is a very significant difference between Manchester City and Chelsea.

510  Other / Off-topic / Re: Relationship not marriage, a need to be careful with the information we share. on: February 17, 2024, 04:25:25 PM
A man shared his story with me about how he was in a long relationship with a lady, it lasted for a very long time that he expected it to end in marriage, but it did not. What was his regret? his regret was that during the long time of being the relationship with this lady, he shared a lot of his personal information with her, and she even knew his bank passwords and pins and was able to send away all the money in his account just before she left him, leaving him broke. Could it have been his bitcoins? yes, but he is not an investor in bitcoins. How about you? are you being too open in the relationship you are keeping that is not yet marriage, you could be doing yourself some harm by exposing to the person who you are in a relationship with where you have invested which is in bitcoins, and even giving them too much information about how you have kept your seed phrase safe. The sweet relationship can go sour in a moment and that your lover can become your enemy. Unless you are married, do not share all information about you with the person you are in a relationship with.
I cannot blame the young man for some of the things he has exposed to the girl he didn't end up marrying. It is often said that in love and in war, whatever we do at that point is always fair, because it is believed that we have been beclouded by sense of reasoning which is not normal at that particular moment. Love they say is blind and in love you can do things ordinarily you wouldn't do on a good day, you would expose yourself to things you wouldn't want to, it can agreements, it can be gift and a whole lot more. same thing as well in war situation, because you are to obey the last command of your commander even if it goes against your personal wish.  that is why for me I do not blame people too much when they do things or take some actions out of love, because it's not everybody that is wired to keep top secret to themselves and these individual differences is what makes us human beings.
511  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Drop your predictions for the value of Naira against dollar? on: February 17, 2024, 02:28:10 PM
I am not here to discuss the economic hardship that our failing naira is putting on the citizens of the country, I am sure the matter is already discussed in some other threads. I am here to discuss the projections for our naira against the dollar.

In our wildest imaginations, we never would have imagined a time where One dollar will be the equivalent of N1,600 of our naira.

N1,500 was almost seen as the height it will get to, but now we are approaching N2,000 a dollar, and I also do not think that it will be the stop, In maybe the second quarter of the year, I predict one dollar to be almost the equivalent of N2,500 because our government seems to be clueless on what to do. It was not even this bad under the PMB administration.

What are your predictions?

What economic policy do you think can be utilized by the government to stop this trend?
First we need to understand that government must prioritize productivity,  local production will help to boost our economy because you will consume what you produce. One of the strongest problems we are facing with our naira is the fact that most of the things we consume in Nigeria are all imported, hence you are heavily dependent on other countries for your own livelihood, it then means your currency will lose value on the international market. Government and citizens have a good role to play for us to reach a sustainable economic system, government must declared a state of emergency on productivity with the political will to make sure it comes into fruition. government should make sure they encourage local SMEs and also encourage farmers too. Hence we begin to produce what we eat and as well import some of the products we have, then over time we will begin to see a level at which the naira will begin to appreciate against the dollar. So if we are really serious to fight inflation and other economic crisis that we are facing, we need to go into serious industrialization and productivity.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do people truly risk their money on bets for profit? on: February 17, 2024, 10:51:25 AM
I came across a recent topic where the op was saying over 80% of gamblers gamble to make money and I had to have a dip thought on that and was curious as to know if there are possibilities that people gamble just for the sake of answering the name gambler?
Nearly eighty percentage of the gamblers are doing gambling for the money making.
From my opinion, I think there isn’t any need to stake or risk one’s money on a game simply because you want to catch fun when you could simply not risk your money and still have fun while watching same game.
I don’t know if I’m really staying my points well but I wish to know if people really have to gamble without intentions of making money?
There are a whole lot of reasons why people gamble and I think the major reason is to make profit, the betting company on their own end would want to advertise that if you're a good predictor, they are capable of giving you good amount of money based on what you predicted and if your predictions are correct, they pay you. So most people go for winning the big price and that is basically for profit making.
You can as well see gambling as cashing fun, because you use a certain percent of your money to stake, more like trying your look to see if it will shine. If you can just watch the game and you do not stake it then means you are not a gambler, for you to be called a gambler, you must involve yourself in betting and predictions.

What's your take on this news?

If this is true, this is going to be a big lift in nwabali's carrier but do you think it's better he goes to the EPL?
I've heard about the move too, I think it's a good one for nwabali bobo, he should go for the money at age it's not on his side, he has spent a good number of years playing for local teams which has eating a lot of time into his career life, so going to Saudi Arabia is a good move, besides no EPL team would want to pay him such huge amount weekly, he might as well not get enough playing time as he should be needing. There is no doubt about the fact that EPL will give him some good publicity, however age too is not on his side if go goes for EPL.
514  Economy / Economics / Re: Step up your game before the game steps you down. on: February 16, 2024, 02:50:42 PM
If only we know how bad the economy is degrading globally, we would want to push ourselves to our limit and focus on that our skill or business. Taking it up to the next level. Some persons are still skeptical about the business they own, while some are waiting for the opportunities, they were promised to them by friends or relative and others are comfortable because they have rich people around them that if they place a call, they will answer them.

As the economy is getting worst it is difficult for a responsible adult to go to bed without planning on how to grow his business or how to attract new customers, not just new though but potential customers and business partners that will have big influence in his business. Time waits for no man. Yes, the life is filled with ups and down, but we won't stop trying so that we can have that impact on the existence of man just like how other nerds have done.
It is good to up your game if you are into skills or you are an entrepreneur. the economy that is degrading globally is as a result of some activities of government across board.  Private individuals and business owners will only strive to protect their own personal business but the bucks stop's at tables of government agencies. Government are the only people that can reasonably assist business entrepreneurs to ascertain sufficient business environment and improve lives and property, if the policies of government are enemical to the growth of any skill or a business, no matter how idealistic that business person is, at some points he/she will breakdown. So as we strive to survive individually and grow our businesses we should also point out those responsibilities of government that will help enhance the growth of business across board.
515  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Asking Questions And Avoiding Penalties- Tips For New Members on: February 16, 2024, 01:58:57 PM
Firstly, I’ve created an account before and was restricted from making posts without knowing what the offence was. At same time, was asked to pay for something i literally know nothing about .

I just created this new account and finally I can make posts, but in regards to this there are certain things I still don’t understand and would likely need direction and answers to questions.

One of the questions is concerning copying and pasting from a browser, new sites, social media or any source. Though, I’ve read through the rules and seen that copy paste isn’t allowed, the question now is what if one is to read through the information provided by any of the above mentioned  and in such formulate your wordings, will there still be need to reference the link from which the information was gotten?

As a newbie I would also like to know if asking questions back to back based on the fact that I haven’t known all yet, wouldn’t cause a penalty of restriction from the forum or a closed account entirely .
A lot of members have given you suggestions and what to do about some questions you've asked, I would like to point out some things to you in a bid to also help you here in the forum. Always ask questions for things you don't have answers, take your time and study the rules and also observe the post pattern of forum members. From your user name, I can see that you're a Nigerian, you can as well visit the Nigerian local board to ask some things and also familiarize yourself with people from Nigeria.
516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Post quality matters than replying fast on: February 16, 2024, 12:01:42 PM
I've took noticed that alot of users are always in a hurry to reply a post expecially newbies, I know it is a good strategies to always try to make your reply to be among the first or at least fifth position, because it would make it easier for other users to see and to read it. But in a scenario whereby a user came across a post and reply fast without having clear understanding about that post such reply may be seen as off-topic or not contributing at all. And if such act continue as your post are always around the first-fifth position it may lead to you being ignored by other users.
So anytime you see a post take your time to understand the concept before making any reply, for instance you came across a post about security and privacy and more. If you don't have much Idea about it don't jump in and quickly reply take your time read the post after reading do some research for better clarity and understanding. And if you came across any word you are not familiar with always do yourself a favour and use the dictionary because neglecting or Ignoring such  may cause you chances of getting a proper understanding about the post.So doing all this would help you in Acquiring more knowledge and also improve your posting skills, helping you in becoming a good poster.
It is often said that quality will always stand out, if you are not hasty in making reply and you take your time in making quality reply, it will give more meaning and clarity to the original post that was made. More so there are often times that people that make fast reply do make quality replies too because it is not all fast replies that are not quality enough, however it doesn't change the fact that, taking your time to make good and quality post even though is on the fifth page of the original post is a wrong thing, somebody can merit your post at anytime so far as it's has quality.
As for newbies that always want to make fast replies, I think maybe is either they want to be noticed or get merited, however in making fast replies you can be prone to errors either typographical or grammatical,
For me I always digest post before making my replies.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 15, 2024, 09:11:01 PM
The EPL title is for the main clubs and not some random mediocre teams. Liverpool must not lose any games for the purpose to win, which is a major hurdle for them. Jurgen Klopp has hopes for his club this season. Trent Alexander-Arnold is a vital player for Jurgen Klopp and Gareth Southgate. Watching him play decent football on the pitch is an incredible feat for the Englishman. Unfortunately, he has been ruled out for an additional couple days; nevertheless, he has replacements on the pitch at both the club and national levels.
Liverpool has got a very good chance to win the premier league this season and I'm sure klop would want to give his very best last shot before he finally leaves by the end of the season and a premier league trophy will be a perfect farewell package for him before he leaves and apart from Manchester city, they are looking like the best for the trophy.

Currently the top teams in the premier league which includes Manchester city, Arsenal and Liverpool have almost equal chances at the premier league title but Liverpool has got the most chance as they are at the top of the table with two points away from both Manchester city and Arsenal as bot Manchester city and Arsenal currently share the same points but at different positions, at the second and third position.a single loss or draw can cost Liverpool their chances so they have to make sure to keep winning until with Manchester city or Arsenal drops point as the race is now very tight currently.

I had the same mind set too about Liverpool being the favorite, but recent events have made me to change my stances on Liverpool, currently Liverpool are at the top of the table with 54 points while Manchester city have 52 points with one outstanding match to play. However, it is very unlikely for Manchester city not to win that match, once they win that match, they will top Liverpool with two points. We all know what will happen if Manchester city should be at the top.

The confidence Manchester city are building should be a huge concern to both arsenal and Liverpool, Haaland and de bruyne are back for Manchester city and that's like a complete formation of a cycle for them.

519  Economy / Economics / Re: Food security might not be a priority for younger generations. (2) on: February 15, 2024, 02:33:21 PM
*Reposting this topic from my post in other forum.

There is a huge possibility of younger or new generations adopting cryptocurrency investments compared to them getting interests on farming and food related sectors. What do you think? Does it have a good or bad effects on our economy?
People are gifted in investing in various ways, over the years I have learned to understand that food production or farming is majorly an investment that is hereditary base, most farmers that are in large scale farming and mechanized farming always inherit some of their farms from either their parents or their grandparents who have over time been predominantly farmers. So the production of food over the years will always be there, people will always invest in farming.
cryptocurrency and bitcoin is a new innovation that people are diving into but it will not replace or give divided attention on people that are into farming.
However there are young entrepreneurs that are into livestock farming, food production, animal husbandry and a whole lot more on food processing. food is an essential component of the human race, so at every point in time, you will always see people that are into food production no matter the age whether they are young or old.

Yesterday night, the sad news about the death of the CEO of Access Bank together with his wife and the only son in an air crash came out and it's really sad to see a complete family being wiped out in a single day in a most painful way.

While we mourn with the extended relative left behind, the question about the current and future state of Access Bank comes to mind.

It's possible he might have used his only son as his next of kin not knowing what lies head of him but considering the current reality, what's your thought on continuous banking with the investment, Access bank, thsr he has left behind?

Do you feel this might lead to the bank shorting down or losing more customers?
Op dis your topic self get how e be, because you suppose know say wigwe na CEO him be, there are other executive officers that the bank have, way go steer the wheels of operation even in the absence of wigwe, or is wigwe the first CEO Access bank has ever had?, I believe your answer is no.
This your question about the bank shorting down or losing customers is sounding somehow in my ears, did wigwe die with all the money deposited in the bank?, Of course no. So the business of banking will go on continuously at Access bank without hitches.
Talking about his WILL, I think the immediate family will know what to do on that.
