Lol.. 65 Million Euros? These particular player ain't worth half of that fee truthfully. This is archery and treachery how can they rate such a player this high?

You seem like a Chelsea that have watch Armando Broja play multiple times and have seen how he plays but i must say everyone has their style of play and obviously you dislike Broja’s style of play, i also don’t fancy his style and despite Jackson missing a lot of chances i still prefer him to Broja. A lot of factors are being considered when valuing a player and from the way the transfer market have turned out recently I don’t think Broja should worth less considering that he is young and have really not got enough opportunity to prove himself yet, his appearance this season have been inconsistent so it’s difficult to fully rate his full potential.

His move to Saudi was a good one but he just landed in the wrong club that was why he couldn’t succeed there, saudi pay their players well andd at such age he should rather focus on earning more money for his family than seeking to play in a relevant club that pay less.

I don’t see how moving to Ajax can benefit his career but let’s see if he can help them regain their best form again.

I don't quite agree with you here. I don't think his struggles is because he picked Al Ettifaq. It's more of a league issue, Benzema who's at the peak of his career at Real Madrid is also struggling. This morning, I read the comment from the Saudi Pro League Chairman, and he said the same thing. Not everyone will adapt well in a new league, sometimes after a slow start, a newcomer may find his feet and shines and sometimes he may not. It's a shame his contract got terminated after 6 months.

Surely one needs to adapt to change of environment but I don’t think players of such experience should feel pressured into signing a new club. Henderson may be affected due to the form of the team and that doesn’t mean he should change a team just yet, at least he should finish the season before joining Ajax or be patient until the team gains back their form.

~Snip~

Who the heck is club willing to buy him at such an expensive price? what a non sense price from chelsea. I knew that chelsea has bought him with a lot of money but he was failed to deliver. It's time for chelsea to let him leave from the club but 65 millions was too much for a striker that was only collecting a few goals till this time. Im sure that those clubs will be running away from broja caused by non sense price given by chelsea. It sounds a non sense thing if there will be one of them to buy broja with such price. That's too good to be true for broja to leave from chelsea with that price. Guirassy from stuttgart was also fuckin cheaper compared to the broja. What's a special thing about him? i see nothing on broja.

He was average striker that was always running in the field caused by rarely getting the ball. Broja was also very bad in the ball control too. Im only wondering what things that makes those clubs interested to acquire him as a new striker.
Those teams are probably thinking that chelsea may be selling him for cheap price but the opposite thing was just happening recently.  Cheesy Cheesy

Broja was obviously useless.

Grin Grin All i see is Chelsea fans ranting. If they eventually sell Broja for that price it is going to be a win win for you and the club, making such amount on a player that has no much use for the club. If i were you i would pray they succeed so they club will have enough money to finance the purchase of a better striker.
502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You only got what you deserve on: January 19, 2024, 09:56:28 AM
In cryptocurrency generally you only got what you deserve, we might complain of how bad  or the terrible experience you have had during trading or holding the wrong asset, but in reality you only got what you deserve.

Indeed, in the world of cryptocurrency, there is no such thing as a second chance or a "pardon me, I don't know." We should educate ourselves about it beforehand to know what we are getting into and understand how to go about it so we don't end up losing money and having a horrible first experience. Everything that occurs to you when trading or holding is entirely on your head, and you really got what you deserved.

Look at those that have DCA into Bitcoin over the years, right now, they will still be in profit because that's what they deserve, you might decide to hold an alt and let go at the right time and come out profitable, because of the knowledge you have on how to navigate your way in the crypto space make it deserving.

Knowledge is key to everything especially in the crypto space, with knowledge you will know the right step to take and the best decisions to make. Those who lack knowledge and wants to invest will think investing in bitcoins will require a huge amount to start up but with knowledge we have come to understand that the easiest way to accumulate bitcoin is to adopt a DCA strategy using an amount one can afford to lose. No pressure, no stress and no fear of losing your investment. DCA strategy allows us to invest at our own convenience with the little income we make.

Knowing your way around in the crypto space and earn profits is all down to the knowledge you acquire and all those people who make profits from crypto investments are not magicians neither are they special they just achieve so much because of the knowledge they possess and like OP I would say they got what they deserve. People who lose so much in trading or holding cryptocurrency can be linked to the lack of knowledge about cryptocurrency and so they also got what they deserved because they invested out of ignorance.

Any trader or investor with sufficient knowledge will be able to comprehend that all of the trading methods mentioned above are not ideal and are extremely risky for any trader. They will also be aware that emotional regulation and self-control play an important role for all traders.

Profits and losses are simply the reflection of how its investor or trader perform its task. If one is done with high caution and mastery in the market, most likely we will see positive results, but if it's done with greed and impatience in the market, the result will be likely negative. So we only got what we deserve. Not just in trading or investing, but mostly in life's aspects, if not done with perfection, we cannot anticipate perfect outcome as well.

As previously stated, the outcome of a trade is solely a reflection of the trader's performance, which is determined by how thoroughly he researched and grasped the market, as well as the effort he put into his trading career. Results do not lie, a trader may be lucky, but if the results are consistent, it is noticeable that it is no longer luck. If the result is consistently negative, it's clear that the trader got what he deserved.

What the heck did he think when he left Liverpool? Or does anyone know whether Liverpool wanted him to go?

The real reasons aren't known till now but it was rumored that it was due to the fact that he wasn't getting enough playing time anymore despite being the captain and he knew during that transfer window that Liverpool would get midfield reinforcements and I think that triggered him to make that abrupt move. He was my skipper and I still miss him in a Liverpool shirt and I'd wish him well at Ajax.

Imo, The only reason that would justify his decision then was that he wanted to try out new challenges.

He must have been regretting his decision to leave Liverpool by now, if lack of playing time was the reason why he left then I would say he has no value for the club if he expects the coach to play him over young talents being brought to the team. He is already 30 years old and obviously his performance was depreciating that was why he was not given much playing time and also he should have known better that the competition in the league is very high and all teams are looking to sign younger players to compete and stay relevant.

504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 19, 2024, 04:28:02 AM
The match between Egypt and Ghana ended in 2:2 draw with Mohammed Kudus scoring a brace for the black stars of Ghana. Ghana really dominated this match but their defense was too porous thereby granting the Egyptians access to equalize the goal each time Ghana scores. This AFCON competition is really getting more tensed and tough as some stronger countries in the competition met each other today. Earlier today, Ivory Coast played against the super eagles of Nigeria and the match ended 0 - 1 in favour of Nigeria.

The competition is getting tougher and tougher and it will get more tense whenn we get to the knockout stage, semifinal and final because i believe only the strongest teams will survive that extent. Currently now it is still very open as some strong sides like Egypt and Ghana are still trying to find their feet in the competition and if care is not taken one of them will exit the tournament in the early stages.

The match between Egypt and Ghana was an interesting match full of exciting moments and goals and it is just as you said, Ghana’s defense was really poor which made them concede goals every time they scored to take the lead. Mohammed Kudus proved to us once again that he is a bright star with a bright future and that he shouldn’t be given a chance when he has the ball around the 18 yard box.
505  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: A Skill or a degree on: January 18, 2024, 05:41:17 PM
Surely we know say work scarse for d country but that doesn’t mean that we should disregard the degree because the knowledge acquired during this process is valuable and very useful in our daily lives and also opens us to many possibilities. On the other hand, acquiring a skill has its own benefits as one can easily create an employment opportunity for himself and wouldn’t necessarily have to wait for any white collar job.

Having both is really important as it broadens your skills and possibilities of employment. In this our country people with degrees and other school qualifications are more respected in the society than self employed people with developed skills no matter the difference in their earnings but i am not trying to condemn skill acquisition because e de very helpful to our youths nowadays and e be like say na im be the sure way now.

Op as you said, employers de look for people with specific skills so them might go for people with developed skills but hope say you no forget say degree also na specific skill dem specialize on just be say their own na formal education, na one course person de study and dem go give you certificate for just one course even though along the road you had to study plenty courses.

Both have their respective advantages and if it is possible to acquire them both we should not hesitate to because they are both important.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The PCSO Lotto is shrouded in doubt due to the picture of the winner shown on: January 18, 2024, 09:32:57 AM
As we can see in the picture, it appears to be just an edited version, casting doubt on whether there was a genuine winner or if corrupt officials inside are attempting to claim the victory using that picture as evidence.

It looks fake and edited. The disguise mask looks so fake and it could actually be a disguise by the officials of the casino either trying claim the reward themselves or trying to misled their customers.

When people are being rewarded this way the cheque's are usually bigger than this to be bold enough for people to see. The picture really looks suspicious and there are too many red flags to raise suspension but it is difficult to come to conclusion that it's not real.

Winning such a huge amount and disclosing the identity of the winner can be dangerous as the winner can be easily targeted by criminals so it is sometimes safer not to disclose the winner's identity but it should look real and  not be an edited image.

What's your thought about that picture

100% Fake, there is definitely something wrong somewhere about the picture.
507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 18, 2024, 08:47:08 AM
Don't worry, I'm sure Arsenal will win. They've suffered lose streaks, so all the players must be motivated to win especially Crystal Palace is just a mediocre club. Crystal Palace just lost against Everton yesterday, so they should be lack of stamina.

Even though Arsenal's performance is declining, but Crystal Palace is worse than Arsenal. Unfortunately the match is not worth to bet, the odds is too low and it's full of uncertainty.

Given their recent losing streaks—they have lost their last three games in a row and have only won once in their last seven games across all competitions—Arsenal will want to uutilize the break to restart and improve their performance again. To avoid losing the opportunity to compete for the title again this season they would want to win at all costs.

The Premier league is unpredictable, we can witness a shocking performance from Crystal palace and i won't be surprised if this happens. Arsenal just have the advantage of welcoming palace to the Emirates stadium other than that i think their performance will determine the result of the match.

508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong perspective towards Bitcoin investment on: January 18, 2024, 07:28:36 AM
The issue of getting rich quick isn't something that many adopters take seriously, as they've come to believe it is the only way to make a quick profit. It still saddens me to see that some adopters in our community have taken the wrong step towards Bitcoin investment.

Because of the stories they hear, people who are ignorant of bitcoin always perceive it as a get rich quick investment. They believe there is no risk involved and that it will simply generate profit and make them wealthy quickly, without having to worry about learning and understanding its concept. They go right in without knowing anything about it, then when they lose money, they start complaining and accusing bitcoin of causing their losses rather than taking responsibility for their own actions for not learning first. Uninformed Bitcoin investments rarely work out well, and they run the risk of being scammed later on.

From his reply, he said he came across a Bitcoin mining website that was shared via a YouTube video. The mining site mines Bitcoin in small quantities, which he decided to buy some mining power to accumulate faster. He successfully purchased one of the mining power worth $80, but the site eventually shut down a week later without allowing any withdrawals.
Nowadays, there are hardly any legitimate mining websites, especially not for bitcoin. Of the ones that exist, over 99% are scams that are created by scammers to trick you into thinking they are real. Investing on these websites is highly unsafe because the scammers will eventually leave you with nothing. Such platforms are only seen as investments and opportunities to generate money by those who are eager to make money.

Experience can lead to bad thoughts regarding Bitcoin, but I'm sure that the only people who constantly raise negative opinions and believe Bitcoin to be a scam are those who don't know anything about it. Those that criticise bitcoin bother me less because I think ignorance is the basis for the critics and that after being scammed by someone who took advantage of their ignorance, they want to blame bitcoin for it.

His reply got me laughing because I quickly pointed out two things from what he said:
1. He was eager to get quick profit from an $80 investment but ended up getting scammed.

It's vital to carefully research what you're getting into before making any investments because this is the kind of situation that ignorance and haste will land you in. Nowadays, we have easy access to free education so before making any financial investments on any platform, we can make use of the internet or ask educated individuals around us questions about whatever we don't know.

Quote
I couldn't just leave him hanging with that mentality towards Bitcoin. .
You did a good thing by showing him a way out of his ignorant position, i just hope he is ready to learn about bitcoin and adopt it or else leading him here would just be a total waste of your time.
509  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto Trading Risks and Management Model. on: January 17, 2024, 06:37:32 PM
Where is this model derived from? You are making trading sound simple and easy i just hope this post doesn’t mislead others by making them think it’s as easy as this model.

Trading requires in depth knowledge and understanding and this usually takes months to achieve despite that it still requires practice and all this still wouldn’t guarantee 100% success rate. I like the way you structure out your points though but you need lay much emphasis on knowledge because it the most important aspect of it, having a strong background will increase your chances of success and also only trade an amount you can afford to lose.

Also your post title de talk about trading and for your 3rd point you de talk about investor instead of trader.

Trading na very risky business and i no go advise anybody to start de trade when e no sabi anything about am, basic knowledge sef no bad but for trading i no sure say e go do so me i believe say na to get in-depth knowledge about am na im better pass so you go sabi all the risk management principles and the understand when to enter market and when to comot and also so you go sabi the best strategy wey you go de adapt wey go suit you pass.

Ps: because dem talk say trading na about risk no mean say you go just de take risk anyhow, alway make sure you take calculated risks and ensure they are not beyond your control.
510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your advised for being a trader? on: January 17, 2024, 02:19:23 PM
So it isn't recommend to trade if you don't know anything.

It is not recommended to trade if you don’t know anything unless you have no use for your money and just want to lose them.

Trading without knowing anything about it will drain you dry that’s why it is not recommended for beginners or anyone who lacks knowledge about it to engage in trading. Learning and understanding the foundations of trading takes a lot of time and skills, and the risk is too great. Engaging in something you know nothing about is a careless act especially something that requires you to invest money, it only means you are willing to lose your money. Even Experts that are skilled and knowledgeable about trading trade cautiously because of the underlying risk involved in it, even with knowledge nothing is guaranteed but knowledge helps to keep the risk minimal.

Trading is kind of risky thing where you can generate money and you also can lost the whole fund within few seconds.

Very risky that even experts does not encourage people to engage in it without having any knowledge about it. When trading is being mentioned what comes to people’s mind is risk and as such only people who have the courage to take risk engage in trading, they are ready for whatever challenges it throws at them so whoever wants to trade should be able to take risk and not expect to make profit everytime he trades. You should always trade an amount you can afford to lose, don’t ever borrow money to trade and always take reasonable risks within your limit.

511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 17, 2024, 01:52:31 PM
Juventus' performance is quite good and they are fighting for the title this season so I have no doubts about the victory they will achieve especially since they are playing at home, while Sassuolo is not a strong team and also Sassuolo is an inconsistent team so the win was 3 -0 for Juventus is quite reasonable and this is not a surprise.
The handicap of -1.25 is quite worthy of betting and I also made the same bet, but I played single bets and to win I was quite confident in it and it was proven.
The title charge is heating up nicely as Juventus just closed up the gap by two points after a wonderful display yesterday to win Sassuolo 3-0 at home. The performance was impressive and they now seem more like a team that really wants to challenge for the title, they are in good goal scoring form and they are in a good form overall this season because they haven’t lost many points and they have currently won their last 6 games and have not lose any of their last 10 games with 8 wins and 2 draws that is really a good performance that shows how ready they are to challenge for the title.

Lucky win for you, they are in good form so there is no doubt they would win the match but my focus is mainly for them to win the title, i have always been a fan of Juventus since Ronaldo’s arrival at the club. I hope they keep up the performance till the end of the season.

513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 17, 2024, 11:20:18 AM
Yesterday West Ham lost in the FA cup against a team playing in a much lower division than the Premier League and that for me was a really big surprise result.A team from the Premier League who happen to have won not long ago the Europa Conference League to lose to a team playing in a lower division. That shows that West Ham is truly in a volatile performance in the Premier League.

It happens and we should understand that this is football so i am not surprised a bit, the lost could be as a result of some key players not featured in the match but that is really not an excuse to lose to a lower division side Bristol city. Few minutes to the second half West ham received a red card and it contributed to them not winning but i believe this performance will only stay in the FA cup,  they dare not bring such performance to the premier league else they would lose alot of points.
514  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies are not Scums.... Learning is a Process and it's progressive. on: January 16, 2024, 02:43:13 PM
We do not judge anyone based on his or her reason for being active in the forum, we judge based on what is being written by that user. Do not be so sarcastic that it is evident that you are sarcastic. Your post on the Economic board: Bitcointalk as a means of Job & Wealth Creation for Youths in Nigeria, the forum does not encourage such kind of post.

Indeed, everyone joined the forum for different reasons, and no one can be unfairly judged for their own reasons. The forum is large enough to accommodate everyone, but what you post and how you contribute here will define how others perceive you, so it's important to take the time to fully understand things before participating in the forum. Bitcointalk is not an office for anyone, rather, it is a place for discussion and education regarding bitcoin. Although, the information obtained here can be used to create wealth.

I am a newbie (Beginner) on this forum...

Surprisingly Roll Eyes, anytime I mention newbie, I get attacked like Newbies are scums and shouldn't be here in the first place....

Can you show us a post where you are not wrong and someone just criticized you for being a newbie? This is unlike the forum. While trying to grow as a beginner be it in this forum or outside the forum, you will eventually get criticized in what you do especially when you are not doing it well. When a newbie skips the learning process and wants to start teaching others it is likely a disguise from an experienced forum member or when someone displays pure act of negligence to follow through the learning process, such acts are seen as a deceitful act in the forum and such users are not to be trusted.
People use newbie account to deceive and scam people that why newbie accounts are always suspicious here so a newbie is supposed to act as a newbie else they will get criticized easily.

I got frustrated at first from the kind of responses on my post and I took a break from the site, after all I am not unemployed.... I have a seven digit paying Job I love so much...

You are not forced to be here and if you feel you have a job paying you enough that makes you feel you are bigger than this forum then there is no reason to be here. No one is bigger than knowledge and it doesn't matter how big you might be if you you seek knowledge you must obey and be submissive to whomever your teacher is regardless of their age or status so same thing applies here, you seek knowledge but you feel you are too big to be treated that way. You are not the first newbie to experience this and this probably because you are getting something wrong so I would suggest you amend your ways and be loyal and develop a thick skin to withstand criticism.

Stop the belittling of Newbies on this forum.

Make your points on people's posts constructively and with respect.

Nobody is making fun of anyone here. The standards are very high and have brought out the best in those who could handle the criticism. Those who couldn't handle it were not suitable for this place, and the standards here are much higher than their capabilities. Take it as a challenge, if you can withstand it, you are destined to succeed here. Everyone you see here was once newbies and has faced criticism in one form or another but they have endured proving that they are capable of being here. You must do the same if you really want to be here.
515  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Investing into crypto really safe? on: January 16, 2024, 10:02:47 AM
Crypto currency investment na risky kind of investment, because Several risk dey associated to this kind of investment, crypto currencies dey very volatile, come dey make crypto investors more vulnerable to losses,  but most persons no dey reason am , them invest in am heavily and most of them done cash out, and still most of them still loose money, crypto investment fit profit you or fit make you loose money before you close eye open, because the price fit climb or drop before you close eye open. E better to take the risk, but take the risk responsibly.
Of course crypto investment is safe when you know what you are doing and when you don’t just invest in it without any knowledge or rather i should say the risk is minimal with knowledge. Most of us wey de invest is already aware of the risks associated with it but we don’t mind because we are cool with it and we understand how  e de be na why we no de reason am and still there are few who don’t understand it because they lack basic knowledge about it. Investing in cryptocurrencies requires two things if you want to minimize your risk and losses;

  • Investing in the right coins.
  • Investing at the right time.
These are the first things an investor should consider when investing in cryptocurrencies, knowing the right coin to invest is essential so you don’t end up investing in fake tokens or shitcoins and to succeed at this proper research need to be done to identify legitimate coins to invest and also knowing the right time to invest is crucial as well to minimize risk.

Since bitcoin naturally carries less risk and is more reliable due to its ability to control and affect the price movement of other coins, I urge all investors to think about investing in bitcoin before considering any other coin.
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 16, 2024, 08:01:24 AM
How would you feel if you had the opportunity to cashout this amount, and later loose all?

No matter who it is would feel bad for having such amount at his disposal and losing it all. This is the kind of angle gambling would put you on several occasions but we just need a strong mindset and prayer to be able to make the right decision in order not to lose at such situations.

cashing out or waiting till the end of game which is more better?

It is very painful when you cashout $1.8m dollars and later won the remaining games where you would have won $31m if you had been patient. IMO i just think whatever decision we make in such situations is a good decision but in this case my condition would determine whether to cashout or not, i would cashout the $1.8m if i am in need of money.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 16, 2024, 07:36:47 AM
Ghanaians would have bantered Nigerians if Nigeria had lost their game to Eq Guinea. They ended up loosing their own game against Cape Verde who would have been underrated before the game, but to me played better yesterday in their game than even Ghana who were the expected team to win. The team representing Cape Verde, have many confident players who if they continue can do very well in this competition. Egypt on their side completed the trio of big teams expected to win their first games that did not meet up, that is Nigeria, Ghana and Egypt. More pressure will be on the teams to win their second games.

I am certain they would have bantered Nigerians for the draw because clearly Eq. Guinea is a team Nigeria should have win but they failed to due to not giving their best performance. Ghanians and Nigerians are known for bantering one another on social media and certainly social media would be on fire, full of banters and shades Nigerians would throw to Ghanians for losing their first game.

There would be pressure on both countries to win their next matches if they want to progress to the next round and also to avoid any further banter thrown their way. I am certain both countries would make their way to the next round.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 15, 2024, 06:18:52 PM
Barca are very helpless. I mean, I don't even understand what Kounde is trying to do in the second goal. Obviously it will not be great with Xavi. There is no point in forcing it. Barca's squad is also really a disaster. With this squad structure, they will not have an easy job in the near future. Barca's future is completely in real's hands. Unless Real gives up the championship every few years just to keep the competition going, it is very difficult for barca to recover in the near future.
Everyone just keep condemning Xavi for the poor performance of the team, i know it is down to the coach when a team is performing poorly but we all know Xavi is not a bad coach because he when he signed for the club he led them to lifting the La Liga trophy while the team is struggling financially. He is managing a club that can’t afford to sign players of his choice and they are now expecting to do wonders with some random players. Until Barca regains financial stability i don’t think they will be able to compete with Real Madrid for now, It is quite clear that Madrid have a better squad than Barca and that’s why it is easy for them to win the match. I Expected more from Barca though i didn’t expect such score line.

I don’t think they should sack Xavi just yet, he is a good coach and he is capable of taking Barca to unimaginable heights in the near future.
519  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't trust social media on: January 15, 2024, 09:15:47 AM
Beginners who are desperate to make money will fall for an offer like this , and if you go through the comments sections their are so many people who are so interested in this. Like if you go through the write up of this dude who claims to be bitcoin expert he said those that are finding it difficult to create a wallet he will help in creating the wallet and funding it. This is how many people will make mistakes to accept offer like this just because they want to earn quick.

I don’t believe how people fall for this kind of tricks like it’s so dumb and i feel the scammer is also a beginner at his scamming work because no one will fall for such tricks except those who are ignorant and desperate to invest in cryptocurrency. No matter how simple and suspicious a scam may look there will still be those who will still fall it probably due to ignorance or desperation thats why it is always important to learn about what you intend to do first before you begin with it. I think people who are privileged to be part of this forum are one of the few lucky ones that is knowledgeable about crypto and the scams associated with it and understand the ways of the crypto industry. Going outside the forum made me realize the benefits of the forum we are enjoying and how a lot of people outside the forum lack in depth knowledge about crypto and why it is easy for scammers to deceive them.

I was shocked to see the questions individuals were asking in a particular online Facebook group. These questions that might easily turn them into a target and leave them open to scams. We must exercise extreme caution in our social media claims and interactions with others in the business, as the crypto space is full with scammers and fraudulent activity. Social media can be highly helpful and misleading at the same time. However, scammers utilise the information individuals find on social media to trick people by spreading false information.
